Updating the list to include my appointment. They couldn't get me in until the 12th because I'm a new patient. Boo! I'm sad I can't go earlier because I'm scared of another missed MC. However, I'm not sure it would really help to go in sooner. I don't think they do ultrasounds until 20 weeks unless something seems wrong.

@Weagle I see you're in the DC Metro area too...if you don't mind sharing, what practice will you be seeing? We're military but I'm planning to switch to a civilian provider if everything looks good after our first u/s (I had a missed miscarriage as well).
And I'll add my appointment to the list, too.

@Pancakes: I'm going to Bay Area Midwifery in Annapolis. We live on the MD side right off 50, so it's actually really convenient for us. My first LO was delivered at Virginia Hospital Center under the care of Arlington Women's Center. I had a wonderful experience with both the doctors and the hospital. Where are you? I may be able to give you some recs.

@Weagle I'm in Alexandria near Old Town, and I'm thinking I would like to deliver at Virginia Hospital Center vs INOVA Alexandria. My husband is a little worried about me going into labor at rush hour, but it's not THAT far... Unfortunately it doesn't look like AWC accepts our insurance, but I might try Healthcare for Women.

@Pancakes: VHC is really great! I don't know anything about Healthcare for Women other than hearing the name, but I do have friends that love Drs. Elliot and Lashgari and Women's Healthcare Corp.

@Boogs: @Kate6214: @Weagle: I did try a different time of day today, and that helped. Unfortunately my diet is nowhere close to sufficient. I have selective eating disorder, and it's VERY hard for me to come even close to those kind of recommendations. I'm working on it, and finding ways to work things in, like getting fruit (I don't eat any kinds at all) in smoothies. But I doubt I'll ever get to a point where I don't need supplements to help. @Mrs. Jump Rope: I've tried more than one brand, and they all smell. And I really can't afford any other brand, since the one I'm using is the cheapest plant-derived (non-synthetics) that I've been able to find. Some are $40 for a month's supply or less, and that just isn't happening.
@psw27: Thank you. Hoping I don't get to that point, but we'll see!
@Littlebit: Ha ha, that would drive me nuts! Thankfully no one's really bothered me about symptoms.
@tequiero21: Yay!! So glad you got to see the heartbeat! Such a great feeling. And you're now unofficially the same due date as me! We'll see how that ends up, right?
@Mrs. Confetti: Thanks!

@Torchwood: Oh, I could never follow that diet either. Which is why I don't go to that practice

@Torchwood: can you get prescription prenatals? Mine are $5/mo!

@tequiero21: Yay for seeing that heartbeat!
@Torchwood: Glad that something helped.
For those who are nauseous....I my doctor gave me some prenatal samples and one has extra doses of B6 I think it's 25mg every 8 hours. I've been taking it the past two days and it seems to be helping. The nausea isn't completely gone, but its toned down. So it might be something to ask your doctor about.

Well, I've had an eventful few days. Basically I have had a cyst that presented similarly to an ectopic pregnancy, so, after bloods etc with the dr, we ended up going to the emergency room last night, where I was given an u/s.
Baby is in uterus! Yay! Dr thinks it is viable, based on my numbers, but we will find out for sure at next weeks u/s. I will be having weekly ultrasounds because of the cyst. It is painful, but pain and then a healthy baby = fine by me.
ETA: Dr confirmed my suspicions that I ovulated early. Therefore my due date is closer to September 17.

@farawayviolet: That must have been so scary! Glad everything is ok and the baby is where it should be.

@farawayviolet: wow - what an intense week! So so glad that baby is where it belongs and at least the silver lining is some extra ultrasounds! So so sorry you are in pain and going through this.

@farawayviolet: thank goodness baby is in right spot!!! What a scare u must have had! Hope the pain subsides!
@Torchwood: yay for "due date twins", but I already know we are having the baby in August lol.

I can't really believe I'm even posting here. We haven't told a soul yet and I haven't actually come to terms with the whole situation!
just got a positive test yesterday. My first. I'm due September 21 and my first appointment is on Feb 13th.
So far my only symptoms is sleepiness. My husband is over the moon and I'm a little shocked and overwhelmed.

@pancakes: have you considered Capital Women's Care in Alexandria? That's who I'm going with.. They deliver at INOVA Fairfax.

Pain has started on the other side and I have started very mildly spotting. We are watching and waiting. Still could be a viable pregnancy (my HCG levels earlier this week were great) but we don't know... Waiting and watching. Still a bit hopeful.

Soo we told my nana tonight! I was trying to hold out until her birthday, but decided to spill the beans tonight at dinner.
I put Chloe in this shirt and it took nana a good 5 minutes to figure it out. My dad even had to parade Chloe in front of her! I got the whole thing on video & when nana finally figured it out she shrieked!
That means we finally told my aunts & uncles, too. My little cousins asked for a boy, "but he better be cool". Ha!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: hahaha I would have loved to see her figuring it out!

@tequiero21: I would post the video but she'd kill me!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Not yet. Spotting down, discomfort up - will call (AGAIN.. they must be sick of my very distinct accent by now ) in the morning if it isn't great. The nurse actually thinks the spotting may have been from the u/s they gave me in the ER.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Love it! Wish we could see the video, but I bet it was great!
@farawayviolet: Hope everything goes well and you're able to not worry too much. Hugs.
