Glad that quite a few of you seem to be finding ways to alleviate the nausea/MS.
So far I'm still nausea-less. But I've even having heartburn and had a horrible headache all day today. I left work a couple hours early because of it.

(PS sorry for multiple posts, it's too hard to do them all together on the phone!)

@SweetiePie: Thanks! I feel so much better knowing I have a provider I like. I really didn't like the one I was at before we moved here, but since I knew we were moving I didn't bother to find anyone else. And then the one I saw here was one of those huge practices where you had to wait forever (at the midwife today the nurse was waiting for ME to finish my paperwork) and they misinterpreted my test results and told me I had a blood clotting disorder when I don't. I am so glad that I can see the midwife and that I loved her. I hope you're able to find someone great without a bunch of trouble. And definitely easier said than done on the not worrying, but I'm pretty good at not over-focusing on being worried at least most of the time. Bet I'll have at least one bad dream about it, but I can live with that.

@tequiero21: Thanks! I don't really know what's normal. I know my ob with my first wasn't planning on seeing me that frequently. I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks (or late 6?) and they didn't plan to see me again till 12.

thanks everyone for the assurances! hopefully we will get positive news tomorrow.

on another note, what pregnancy apps (if any) are you ladies using? i've got babycenter, sprout, and what to expect all going. it's interesting how they differ... i also just bought obaby for bump photos (if i decide to do them).

In a funk today. I'm meeting friends for lunch & nothing fits. I've spent the last 20 minutes trying pants on.

I'm at that awkward stage where my regular pants don't fit but my maternity pants fall down because my hips & belly are too small.

    So.. Yoga pants it is.

Glad you had a good appointment @torchwood. Its hard not to worry, but it sounds like everything is moving along really well.

Aww I'm sorry @mrs. jump rope. maybe some leggings? Nothing wrong with yoga pants anyway!!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm sorry! At least yoga pants are comfy? I've been in them most of the time for a little while now. I have pants that fit (and I wear them to go out because it's so cold), because I used to be about 20 pounds heavier, but they aren't comfortable! They dig into my lovely little bloat baby belly. >_<

@Mrs. Jump Rope: dude-maternity pants! I was in them by 9 weeks, even though I was reluctant to do it. But it made me feel so much better about myself!

Sorry you're feeling down, pretty lady

@gksj: not using any pregnancy apps, but I do use babycenter still for my toddlers.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I need to get some more yoga pants. Right now, when I go out, I wear my jeans but make sure to wear a bulky sweater or sweatshirt cuz I can't zipper it without feeling very uncomfy. I don't zipper it lol. Soooo bloated.

  9. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@LovelyPlum: I am wearing them but they're too big! I need a smaller size. My hips are smaller than they were with Chloe & my pants are falling off!

So my regular jeans are too small, and my maternity are too big!

I give it three weeks before they fit but right now it's this weird phase where nothing fits!

What about a bella band or something of the sort @mrs. jump rope? I don't know a lot about them but then you don't have to button them right?

I made a terrible mistake today... I wore tights with my pencil skirt. Tights = terrrrible.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Can you use a bella band? My girlfriends swear by them!

@psw27: @gksj: I tried a Bella band with Chloe & didn't like it. I'm going to check out Kohls and get a pair of pants in a smaller size

Well, had my weekly appointment this week! Baby is now 130bpm, I'm 6w6d (I think). OBGYN is really happy with that.

My uterine bleed (aka the reason I pretty much live at the obgyn) has sadly grown, but because it is between the baby and the cervix the OBGYN is confident it will be ok, but they will continue to moniter me weekly. Cyst still chilling on my ovary, but it's pain levels have dropped. It is actually really cool to see baby grow week to week, but I'd rather not have the very scary bleeding and cramping that comes with it!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I've been in maternity pants since 5 weeks because my cyst and bleed have given me massive bloat. I felt so stupid shopping for them, but the OBGYN ended up giving me the push. I find folding the belly down can help a lot.

@farawayviolet: great to hear you're doing well despite the cyst and bleed. at least you get to see/hear your baby lots!

No cardiac activity on my scan today. My ob is having me do a beta, but I'm sure it's just to see if it will pass or if I need another D&C. Best wishes to you all.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I've been living in yoga pants, and when I go out I wear long stuff and don't button my pants. Maybe you can do that?

  21. gingerbebe

    cantaloupe / 6131 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I feel ya on the pants thing. I am wearing a pair of pants today that have a double button closure so I had to do the hair tie through the button hole thing on TWO buttons. It made going to the bathroom a pain but these things were NOT going to close otherwise.

@psw27: I'm SO with you on the tights! yuck.
I haven't noticed much besides a little bloating, but I can't really suck my stomach in like I used to be able to if I was wearing a tight skirt.

@lattelove the skirt was forgiving enough (thick wool so no one can see my lovely bloat) but the tights were not. I almost cut the waist band. Cute. Haha.

@Boogs: Yes, very much. It breaks my heart that anyone has to go through this, and I would definitely love for her to come back with good news.

Seriously, I feel so bad for the losses in our board the last few days. Its happened to me twice before and I still don't know what to really say.

    Sigh.

RE: our earlier discussion about pants not fitting, I saw tonight that our local Target had a huge clearance section with stuff 50-70% off. I snagged 2 pairs of black under-the-belly work slacks for $10 each and 2 work appropriate tops and a dress for under $9 each. Woot. My pants aren't fitting this week (really horrible constipation) and my shirts are starting to get uncomfortable, so this was a really great find. It looks like they are trying to bring in Spring clothes, but obviously its still cold most places, so you might want to check it out.

Thanks for letting us know @gingerbebe! I am weirdly superstitious and don't want to buy anything until I have my appointment next week. I keep worrying that I feel "too normal" this week... and by normal I mean peeing 10 times a night with painful giant boobs, but no nausea.

  36. gingerbebe

    cantaloupe / 6131 posts

@psw27: I know how you feel. I bought a few maternity pieces each of my previous pregnancies - all clearance too - mostly to keep me comfortable. A sundress, a few tank tops, a pair of jeans. This time, I feel a little more confident AND I'm dealing with the worst constipation, so my belly is like out of control. I just couldn't fit into my pants other than my leggings so I just went to Target looking to buy 1 pair of slacks to get me through. But the ones I found on clearance were so cheap, I snapped up 2 just in case. I figure worst case scenario, I'll wear them later on.

@gingerbebe: Well I just almost threw up on my desk so I guess my normalcy is gone. I hear ya on the pants, my dress pants for work are digging in right now. I might have to shop sooner rather than later!

Hi everyone! I just had a dating scan today and they told me my EDD is September 4th! I'll look back through the thread to see if there's a little get to know you thing to fill out, but wanted to make sure I said hello. Hello!

@psw27: I swear by my seaband but our trash can gets me every time. Chloe didn't finish her oatmeal for bfast & throwing it out combined with the trash smell made me start gagging and dry heaving.
