@SweetiePie: super helpful for figuring where I'll be for my brother-in-law's wedding! but then I googled 18 week baby bump and realized I could either be barely bloated or a blimp by then!

    @SweetiePie: Super cool, thanks!

@LatteLove: Yeah same! I'll be 23 weeks for my friends wedding and have no idea what to do about a dress. She chose JCrew chiffon in whatever style we want. So I chose one with an empire waist, ordered 2 sizes up and praying for the best! Luckily JCrew is awesome and they extended my return policy knowing the sizing at 23 weeks is out of my control.

@SweetiePie: ooh thx! Although it says I'm in 2nd trimester at 13 weeks. I consider 14 weeks 2nd trimester, but nice to follow along!

@SweetiePie: A friend let me borrow a empire waist, chiffon, J Crew dress at 24 weeks for a wedding. It was 2 sizes bigger than normal, and it was a bit big still. I think it will be fine!

I just ordered a maternity style for a wedding I'll be in at 26 weeks. I went ahead and got two sizes too big - not sure how the bump will form the second time around

@LatteLove: Have you started looking for dresses to wear? I've been looking around for options for some upcoming events also.

    @SweetiePie: That's great customer service!

    @SweetiePie: that's awesome customer service!

I have a bridal shower & two weddings this summer. I'm hoping to get away with needing one dress! I have a casual maternity maxi I think I can get away with for the shower.

My OB cancelled my Monday appointment due to the impending snow! I go on Tuesday afternoon now.

I'm two days away from my second trimester starting & I'm still dry heaving. Whennnnn will this end? I'm nauseated today, too, but it's manageable.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: ugh MS hit me the last two days and yesterday Zofran didn't even work. I was loudly retching for hours and hours last night. I also have a cold so that's making things worse. I called in sick to work today because I am just so worn out. I'm 12 weeks tomorrow - please let this be over!!

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@gingerbebe: I hope you feel better and can get some relief!

I've got a stuffy nose. I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related or if I'm catching a cold. I remember being congested with Chloe too!

I'm sieving fine with out zofran but id like to know where my ginger ale disappeared to...

10 weeks today! I feel so behind all of you that are nearing the first tri already! But 10 weeks is a great accomplishment for me and the little babe in there!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @Boogs: Yeah, they have been awesome. I called their 'fit specialist' helpline and they tell you which bridesmaid dress styles have worked for pregnant women in the past, and then they let you order multiple sizes and extend the return policy. I highly recommend them, not just for bridesmaid! The dresses are so versatile you could just get one to wear to weddings as a guest, @Mrs. Jump Rope!

I put on my dress last night and the top already fits my boobs. I'm afraid I'll keep getting bigger and it will actually end up being too small. I'm already large chested (32DD) and they're already massive at 10 weeks. I'm wearing a sports bra at work today. For those seasoned moms, do they keep growing? Or are they going to plateau until birth and milk starts coming in?

  12. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@SweetiePie: Waiting to see how formal they are before I buy a dress!

One couple lives on a farm and is so outdoorsy. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a casual, outdoor wedding! That would be a LOT of fun!

My cousins reception is at a social hall so it could go either way!

@gingerbebe: @Mrs. Jump Rope: Maybe your days of relief in between the bad days mean the end is near for you. I'm lucky to get an hour of relief here and there.

@SweetiePie: I've actually never ordered anything from them, but they do have really nice stuff.

  14. LatteLove

    apricot / 441 posts

@Boogs: Yep! I ordered 3 dresses this week from Asos Maternity to try on. I think they have a good return policy, so I'll see where I am at, and if I need order in different sizes with plenty of time before the wedding.
I saw one I loved on Zulily, but I didn't want to spend $60 with no returns!

  15. LatteLove

    apricot / 441 posts

    @SweetiePie: Don't feel too behind! I'm 10w4d, so we're pretty close.

Ok, the one pregnancy symptom I was looking forward to hasn't happened at ALL. My barely B boobs are the exact same size they have always been. Anyone else in the same boat as me? When are they supposed to grow?!

  16. tequiero21

    honeydew / 7968 posts

@LatteLove: ugh. My boobs shrunk from prepregnancy after I weaned the kids. I was hoping they would grow back, but at 13 weeks, not yet. Grr lol.

  17. Boogs

    hostess / papaya / 10540 posts

@LatteLove: I've never gotten anything from them, so wondered how their stuff actually looks on. And zulily had great customer service, but their return policy and high shipping costs stink. As for the boobs, mine shrunk after weaning last time and they've only slightly grown now. Wait until after you gift birth, they will be like BOOM!

  18. Pancakes

    nectarine / 2180 posts

@LatteLove: I don't remember my boobs growing much during my first pregnancy (I was a B cup then) and then like @Boogs said, mine shrunk after weaning...they are definitely bigger now than post-weaning, but I'm still a B...

  19. LatteLove

    apricot / 441 posts

@Boogs: I would heartily recommend Zulily if you're buying from brands you already know because you already know the sizing and quality (e.g they had TOMS on there two weeks ago). They don't have any of their own brands so the quality, fit and styles are all over the place.

I only risk a brand I don't know if it's really cheap (I got a pair of maternity leggings for $10 and I figured if they didn't fit well, no huge loss)

  20. Boogs

    hostess / papaya / 10540 posts

@LatteLove: Oh yeah they've had some great brands on there, but more often than not after shipping costs it ends up basically being a price I would pay on Amazon. So I usually get the Amazon product since I can also get it so much faster.

Back from our cruise! It was a lot of fun, but we've been off the boat for 2.5 days and I still feel like I'm moving all the time. The constant dizzy feeling is getting wearing.

13 weeks today! Had 2 people on the cruise call me out on being pregnant, so I guess I'm officially looking it too. I'm really eager for my appointment monday. I think once I confirm a heartbeat at 13 weeks I'll feel as confident as I can be with all this. So excited to be this far!

I'll read back through what I missed, but I hope everyone is doing well still! I missed HB!

@Torchwood: Welcome back! I'm glad you had a nice time. Hope you get your land legs back soon

So the last 2 nights I've felt extremely nauseous when I laid down for bed. I haven't felt nauseous nauseous yet, just an overall yucky feeling every time I eat. But last night and the nightt before I thought I might puke and also woke up during the night feeling like I might puke. Not sure why it's only happening at night? But I did read in my week 10 update that this is the week that's usually the worst for nausea.
I really don't feel like going in to work today. I was contemplating taking a sick day or working from home, but I feel guilty.

  24. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@Torchwood: welcome back! Hooray for looking pregnant!

@SweetiePie: try keeping graham crackers next to your bed. Sometimes munching on those slowly helped me! And sipping cold water helps!

Last week I had a bleeding episode that got me an emergency appt with my OB. We heard the heartbeat but she looked at my nt scan and said I've for a low-lying placenta. I was put on pelvic rest

I've felt off since Thursday. I can't even describe it, I just feel OFF. I laid in bed nearly all day yesterday and last night I started bleeding bright red. Heard baby's HB on the doppler and woke up this morning with cramping and more blood. Still hear a nice, strong HB. I'm safe in the second tri, right?

I'm going in today to see my ob. Sigh.

Since @Torchwood: said she's showing I say she starts a September 2014 bump thread I have nothing to show but is love to see where I'll be in a couple weeks!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: That all sounds so scary, I'm sorry you're going through it. A strong heartbeat is an excellent sign so hoping it's all related to the SCH/low placenta. Not that those things are particularly good either, but manageable. Hugs!

  26. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@SweetiePie: I'll start the thread! I'll make it gold.

My SCH supposedly healed and didn't appear on ultrasound at my NT scan. I'm guessing this is placenta related.

Either way I'm going in this afternoon.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Ah! That's scary! I'll be thinking about you. I'm sure your babe is fine - it's a wonderful sign that you are getting a good strong HB!

  28. Littlebit

I thought I had escaped any first trimester craziness but nope! Was at the grocery store by myself yesterday and fainted/blacked out! I felt fine one minute, the next I was sweating like crazy, my heart was beating fast, and then my hearing and eyesight went. So crazy. I felt fine when I came to (thanks to some helpful people) and didn't go to the emergency room. I've had some cramping since yesterday that feels slightly different than my cramps from early this trimester, but it isn't painful. And no bleeding. I still hoped to get in to see the heartbeat today just to make sure, but the office is closed due to snow. The on-call doctor said I was probably fine, so I'll be going in first thing tomorrow morning. Times like this where I wish I had broke down and bought the doppler I'm feeling fine now and don't think anything is wrong, but it would definitely be nice to have some reassurance without having to wait a day.

  29. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@Littlebit: That's so scary!!! Oh my gosh, when you fell did you hit your head? I'm so afraid of that happening. I fainted once but it was in a crowd so a few people caught me. I don't blame you for wanting some peace of mind. Hopefully you can get in tomorrow since you can't today.

@Littlebit: oh my, that sounds frightening! I hope you're feeling well today.

  31. Weagle

    coconut / 8498 posts

@Littlebit: That happened to me when I was pregnant with LO. I was sitting on the toilet... Awesome. Everything was fine, but the doctor thinks I was dehydrated. Apparently, staying adequately hydrated during pregnancy is nearly impossible for me despite my fluid intake.

  32. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

@Weagle: I remember my doctors telling me I was dehydrated when I was pregnant with Chloe. It caused contractions and I ended up on L&D and needed to get fluids on top of everything else going on.

We ended up buying a two-gallon jug of water from the grocery store. I made sure to drink one gallon per day. Lo and behold, I stayed hydrated through the rest of the summer.

I sorely under estimated how much water I needed to drink -- I love water and drink a lot in the first place but it early wasn't enough in pregnancy!

I make sure to drink a ton now, too.

  33. tequiero21

    honeydew / 7968 posts

@SweetiePie: hope you are feeling better!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: hope you get your reassurances today!

I know I don't drink enough water. Really really hard when baby is saying no! No water! Trying to drink more tea.

Sorry won't be participating in bump threads! Not gold anymore and my hubby refuses to let me buy it. He's very anti-hellobee. Only cuz they banned him lol. Well, if he wasn't such a trouble maker....

  34. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@Weagle: @Mrs. Jump Rope: @tequiero21: I know I don't drink enough water. I never have and once I found out I was pregnant I started being really good about it...and then it started to make me feel yucky to drink a lot. So I too have been trying other things like juices and chocolate milk and iced tea. But I know I'm still not getting as much as I should. Its actually something that has really scared me the last few days since I know hydration is so important.

  35. gingerbebe

    cantaloupe / 6131 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @Littlebit: Oh my goodness, I hope you two are okay! How scary!

@Littlebit: I got my doppler weeks ago and I still can't find the HB. I'm at 12 weeks and 2 days, so I'm not super worried, since we saw the HB at our 10 week appointment, but it doesn't always give you the reassurance you want!

I had (am having) my first full-on pregnancy cold. It. is. miserable. I felt off on Wednesday and Thursday so I took Friday off and I got full blown sick that day. It also made my morning sickness come back with a vengeance - the Zofran barely made a dent - and I've been gagging and puking all weekend. Because I didn't have a fever the nurse wasn't really concerned, but its so hard not to take any medications! I had chest congestion, lost my voice, my throat was completely swollen, and I was having a hard time breathing. I also started feeling really faint and woozy yesterday and DH FREAKED OUT. He wanted me to go to the ER straight away but I was keeping fluids down (although puking) and eating so I didn't think I needed it. I have my NT scan tomorrow, so I'm hoping just to soldier through work today and make sure baby is fine tomorrow.

  36. Boogs

    hostess / papaya / 10540 posts

@Torchwood: Welcome back! Have you tried Dramamine? I was surprised with how well it can work for me.

@SweetiePie: When that happens I have a little snack and small sips of water and it calms enough to be able to eventually fall back asleep.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I know I would be scared, so glad you're getting checked out and hope your appointment goes well!

@Littlebit: How scary! I've had that, but always immediately sit down and drink water so I've avoided blacking out. I happens most when I overheat, so were you maybe overheating yourself?

  37. Boogs

    hostess / papaya / 10540 posts

@tequiero21: I know I don't drink enough either, so hard to put down. I won't be sharing either, but more so because I don't share photos. That really happened to your DH?!

@gingerbebe: Ugh, sick while pregnant is the worst! Hope your NT goes well tomorrow, mine is the following day.

  38. Mrs. Jump Rope

    blogger / coconut / 8306 posts

Baby's HB was between 150-156, when it is normally 159. It's making me worried.

She sent me for an ultrasound and scheduled for 2:45.

Just an all around frustrating day. I've got Chloe & it's her nap time. She's miserable and we are by ourselves. I have no clue how long this will take, and I've still got a half hour until my appointment!

  39. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: That sounds awful. So glad you have a doppler. I imagine it's scary enough knowing there's a heartbeat. It would be terrible to have to wonder.

@Littlebit: I've heard that it's not particularly unusual to faint when pregnant. Still scary though! Glad you're okay!

@gingerbebe: I had a cold back when I was 4-5 weeks. It was SO miserable. There are a few things you can take (don't remember what), so I'd call your doctor for recommendations if I were you. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for all the welcome back's and all! Finally feeling less dizzy, though not 100%. I think in another day or two I'll be good.

I'm grumbly though, because my appointment got cancelled due to snow. I just really want to hear the heartbeat so I can feel like I'm really safe. I know I'm out of the first tri (or about to be, depending on who you ask), but since with my first m/c it was 2.5 weeks after the baby stopped growing that we found out, I need to know I'm REALLY out of the first tri. Rescheduled for Friday. Oh well. At least we got some snow! (In Nashville, and somehow we've missed almost all the snow in the surrounding states.)

Also, we closed on our house on Friday! The contractor started doing the little bit of work we're having done today, so we should be able to paint next week, and we'll move in once we get back from my husband's company trip! Only going to be in my mom's house for another couple weeks! AND we'll have a fenced yard so I can stop having to bundle up to take the dogs out every couple hours. (The little one refuses to 100% house train, so he has to go out frequently or be locked in his crate which I don't like doing when I'm home.) I'm so excited!

  40. Boogs

    hostess / papaya / 10540 posts

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Sorry, that is frustrating. That is a bit lower, but definitely still a nice and strong heart rate! Hoping the ultrasound makes you feel more comfortable.

And btw for what we pay for medical care, they need a place we can leave our kids when we fly solo for appointments!
