@Mrs. Jump Rope: Day 3 was really the only day where I was like OMG KILL ME PLEASE. The first two days were like ramping up and the last 2 days were winding down.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: feel better mucinex is a life saver for me right now and some times I add a bit of extra Tylenol if needed. Feel better!!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I think it's only certain types of mucinex (though I might be wrong), so I'd check first. But I'm sorry you feel so awful. Hope you're able to get some relief soon!
And I'm jealous that you can feel it already! I'm right there with you, so I'm curious to see how long it takes me, since this is my first.

@T.H.O.U.: @Torchwood: thanks guys! I did consult my safe-med sheet from my RE (they're more conservative than my OB!) and mucinex was on the list.
DH made a quick run for me & it's already making me feel better!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Oh good. I'd hate to think you were miserable for days!
Where exactly do you feel movement this early? I know roughly where the top of my uterus is, but not really how big it is so no idea how far down it goes. Trying to figure out where I should be focusing on for there to be any hope of noticing anything.

@Torchwood: I've been feeling jabs low, mostly off to my right but on occasion in the middle. It's nowhere near my belly button!

Okay, I could swear I felt something a little while ago. It was definitely different from anything I've ever felt before. Part of me feels like it was just because we were talking about it so I was thinking about it too much. But I did feel *something,* I'm just not sure if it was the baby or some very odd gas.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: feel better! It's miserable being sick, especially if u r pregnant and have to take care of a family!

@tequiero21: thanks! I feel icky but mucinex & Tylenol cold are helping me plow through.
I've got a bridal shower in a few weeks, a wedding in May and another in July. Any ideas where I can look for a semi-formal dress? I'd like to get away with the same dress for both weddings. I've got a maxi dress that I think will work for the shower!
I'm looking for something that hits below the knees (I don't like my legs) and not strapless.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @Torchwood: So cool that you're feeling baby! I've felt a couple of questionable things but nothing definitive and I know it's too early anyway. Can't wait for that unmistakable jab
@Mrs. Jump Rope: Feel better soon!
So I unexpectedly got maternity jeans over the weekend. I went to "A Pea in the Pod" to look for maternity/nursing bras and they had an awesome pair of jeans in my size on sale so I got them. So freaking comfy!!!
ETA: They also had prosthetic bellies there for different months so you could try on future clothes! It was so much fun, I put on the 7 month bump and took a pic and sent it to my husband. I said "I think I popped!" I'm not gonna lie, I've gone back to that pic a few times because it's so weird to see! I love it!

@gksj: @Mrs. Jump Rope: have nowhere to go, but now I wanna shop for a dress lol! Very very nice! Loveeeee the color!

@tequiero21: I hope it fits! I might only be able to wear it to the May wedding. I can still return it in so many days if it doesn't look good on me!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I just bought four dresses to try on from ASOS for my brother-in-law's wedding in 7 weeks. They have a great return policy (free shipping!) and lots of cute midi-length dresses. I think this is the one I'll keep.
I think I'll still fit into a non-maternity dress for the shower at the end of the month - but this weekend I definitely started feeling showy!

@LatteLove: oh that is sooooo cute. I didn't see that one!
I was focused on price and couldn't pass up the $22. There was another one I liked, but my sister voted for the red dress instead!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I think it's sold out, because the only way I was able to find the photo was through going back to my order. I paid $22 for this one too!

We had our NT scan today and I officially announced at work and on Facebook! So exciting!! I still think it's a girl...but I have to wait until April 30th to know for sure. Ultrasound was so cool. Baby was punching and kicking! Here's my favorite picture from the scan. And here's how we announced on FB!
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
@Littlebit: So cute! Congratulations on announcing! DH is Irish and our anniversary is on the 19th, so part of me wants to announce on FB on St. Patrick's Day or our anniversary, but part of me wants to wait for all the cool pictures from our anatomy scan and reveal the gender at the same time. Only problem is the 20 week scan is soooo far away on April 24th!
SO sleepy today with the DST change. I had to sit in a hearing today for 2 hours without bathroom, snack, or water and I was really sick at the end of it! Fighting to stay awake and tempted to go get a soda.

@Littlebit: seeing that photo made me squeal! My appointment is in an hour and I'm just dying to see how much progress the baby has made from a jellybean-sized blob to a kicking baby (with a profile)! Be back soon with a report!
I'm not announcing on Facebook, but after the appointment, I will figure out how I want to share on Instagram and then finally write about it on my blog and put both accounts in my HB profile.

@Littlebit: Awwwwww hi baby LittleBit! So cute!!!
@LatteLove: Good luck!!! Can't wait to hear!

@Littlebit: So exciting! What a cute announcement!
Today at dinner DD started saying, "I have a baby in my belly!" So I said, "Who do you know that has a baby in her belly?" (Her school music teacher is pregnant and several family friends have recently had babies). She thought and said, "Aunt L has a baby in her belly." Then, she looked right at me and said, "Do YOU have a baby in your belly?" Like she just KNEW. We had not told her yet, because we weren't ready for her to tell other people on our behalf (!) but I'm sure she has heard me talking to other people and put it together. Then she kept saying, "Who is in there?"
So, I think it will be fun to be able to talk to her about it now. Plus, I'm definitely showing (so much earlier than with her!) so people are going to know whether I want them to or not.

@Littlebit: yay nice! What a cutie!
@LatteLove: @Mrs. Jump Rope: @gksj: ugh, gee thx! Bought two dresses just for the heck of it.
@Pancakes: smart cookie! And yeah, I'm showing heck of a lot earlier. With twins, i didn't show until like 15 weeks. With this one, I swear I had a bump at 8!!!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Pancakes: That's so cute! I bet she'll have be much fun being all excited!
@Littlebit: I love both pictures! I can't wait to see a really good profile like that. And I *might* have big brother and sister doggy t-shirts on my amazon registry.
It's really cool to feel some movement, but those of you who've done this before, is it going to get annoying? I don't like having someone sitting too close and brushing up against me and that sort of thing, so is it gonna wind up bugging me to have someone moving around inside, and I can't tell them to sit still please!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: I love that dress! DH's 10 year reunion is supposed to be this year, so I might have to use that excuse to get something like that!
coconut / 8498 posts
@Torchwood: Honestly, it did get annoying sometimes. Mainly at the end when there's just no more room but they just keep punching and kicking. The worst for me was when she was still small enough to do flips, but big enough that I could feel all of it. It felt like I was on a roller coaster every time. And, since I still had serious MS, it made me sick every time.

Appointment went great today! Our doctor is really chill and a very good compliment to both my husband and I's tendency to be more concerned/uptight.
I'm not doing an NT scan (insurance doesn't cover and we're neither worried about the risks, nor would it have an effect on our decision), so I almost didn't get an ultrasound this time but when the doctor saw how disappointed I was he said he could do one for a quick minute! Anyway, it was crazy to see limbs and movement! We were both smiling like crazy for hours afterward.
All is well and heartbeat is a strong 160. Finally feeling confident enough to make it public!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@LatteLove: Hooray! I'm a little jealous. We're not doing the nt either, which means no more scans until the anatomy scan in April. I'm sure the midwife would be willing, but they don't actually do them there so it'd mean a whole 'nother appointment.

@Lattelove, @Littlebit: Love your scan pictures, it's amazing to see little babies in there! I have my first appointment on Friday (at 12 weeks 3 days) and will do the NT scan.
I'm excited but also nervous, I'm always on tenterhooks before scans and only when the technician tells me things look good can I relax. In some ways I'd prefer not to do the scans and live in blissful ignorance. I had a bad experience at 16 weeks with LO nr 1 when the technician thought she saw amniotic bands (don't image google) and set us up for weeks of agonizing waiting until we got the all clear.
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@tequiero21: yup, I'm also showing so much sooner!
@Torchwood: I didn't get sick of it. I loved feeling her wiggle.
@LatteLove: great scan!! I love seeing everyone's uktrasounds.

Is anyone else uncomfortable sleeping? I've been having a tough time finding a comfy position. It might be time to break out the snoogle!
honeydew / 7968 posts
@Torchwood: I think it's definitely fun in the beginning. U realize, wow, there's a tiny being in me! But when they get huge, agree with @weagle, gets super uncomfy and sometimes pretty painful. Btw, I hate when people touch me or get too close. Well, sometimes.
@LatteLove: beautiful babe! Love how he/she is hanging out almost upside down? Lol.
@Mrs. Jump Rope: yeah, been uncomfy for awhile. I have to either sleep on my side with a pillow underneath my belly/between my legs or on my back with pillows under my legs. And I'm not even huge yet.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LatteLove: Congratulations!!! So glad the appt went well! How cool of your doc to sneak a peak for you
NT and gender tomorrow and I cannot wait!!! I'm obsessing. It's really helping me get through a crappy week at work.
blogger / coconut / 8306 posts
@tequiero21: thought it was just me! Major tossing and turning over here. I can't bend at my waist so I'm already doing that roll & lift thing lol I woke my husband up at like 4am because I was apparently huffing and puffing trying to move. Ha..
nectarine / 2932 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: YES! The past three nights have been awful! I had been sleeping great up until then. Hoping it's just a phase. I may need to go get one of those fancy pregnancy pillows.
@LatteLove: Yay! So happy to hear you had a good scan also

Insane headache all last night that woke me up and is persisting this morning. Finally giving in and taking Tylenol and forcing myself to chug water.
cantaloupe / 6131 posts
@Mrs. Jump Rope: Sleep has been SUPER annoying the last week or so. The only way I can fall asleep is on my left side, with my arm propping up my pillow, but its started to make my shoulder really stiff and I woke up with some hand pain that I associate with a nerve being pinched somewhere in my arm. But if I try to sleep on my right side, I start gagging. I have like 3-4 pillows and am rolling back and forth all night long. DH thinks its time for a Snoogle or something because I'm so unhappy.
This week's delightful symptoms: Backne and chestne in spades! It feels so gross, but I don't want to slather my whole body in Clearasil bc who knows what gets absorbed. So I'm just scrubbing and exfoliating and trying to make do. Its just gross when its like on your collarbone and you can see it at work.
My MS seems to be a little spottier this week, although I'm still on Zofran because when it does creep up, its really sudden and severe. The exhaustion has kicked it up a notch - I was like in a catatonic state at work all day yesterday and completely passed out for 20 minutes in my sleeping bag during lunch. Usually it takes me 20 minutes to FALL asleep!
