Yay so excited!!

So, on the way to the hospital. I am about 70% sure it is a false alarm, but the little guy is not moving much and I am having some back pain, plus pressure. The l&d nurse said it is probably normal but they would like me to come in just in case since our induction is on Wednesday

Update. We came within a hair of doing the induction tonight! boy wouldn't give us a baseline heart rate and they had to decode if that meant he was 1) have heart decelerations or 2) overly happy and active. We are going with happy and active so going home in a bit. I have an NST tomorrow and if he is misbehaving, they will send me back here. If nothing unusual happens, we will call at noon on Wednesday and come in Wednesday afternoon.

@Cherrybee: it was not too bad yesterday. The nst is in a few, so we will see what happens.

@autumnleaves: we call at noon to see when to go in, so less than 4 hours.

Called hospital, they will be ready for me at 6 p.m. ready for this!

So, just one dose of cervical softener at 9 p.m.. Nurse said doctor doesn't want a second since contractions ate during and regular. When the doctor comes in we will discuss pitocin vs foley catheter. Feeling pretty uncomfortable here at 2 a.m. but husband is getting some sleep, a good thing. I was able to pull up my birth sorry from Lo1, so looking at those notes will help when discussing the next step.

@MaisyMay: that's great that you have your birth story from LO1 with you. Hang in there! Thinking of you!

@autumnleaves: actually, I looked it up on here and reread it.

Newest update is that we did do one more dose of the softener as, like with LO1, contractions were strong but not productive. We check things again at 6, so in an hour. I can't stay quiet through the contractions anymore, so that must be a good sign.

@MaisyMay: Eep!! Wishing you speedy delivery!!! Hope your babe is in your arms! Can't wait for an update

So, a bit of trauma and drama, but it looked like we were going in for an emergency c-section when he decided to join us. 8lb9, 21inches, 11:21 a.m.. will give details later.
