@ValentineMommy: congratulations although I already said it on Facebook. Lol
15 weeks today!
Still filled with anxiety. Hoping to feel those kicks soon so I have a little relief knowing baby is okay. I feel like I felt my other two much earlier.

Hello ladies!!
How was everyone's weekend? How's everyone feeling?
I have an appt Thursday! We're doing a glucola test because DS was such a big baby, I'll have to do the glucola test twice this pregnancy. YUCK!! And also we should be doing the genetic testing! Fingers crossed we find out the results of that asap. I think because this might be the last baby I'm just so anxious to know the gender. Not that it matters if it's a boy or girl, we'll be happy either way. But hearing everyone's guesses of what it might be has me on edge.

@ValentineMommy: congrats!
Giving up coffee is kicking my butt! I'm going up test once a week to see if it gets better. Meanwhile, my toddler is testing my limits the past few days. It's been awesome.

@littleblessings: cute!!!!
Thanks everyone for the congrats! We're super excited to add some pink into the mix lol. Here's our fb announcement. We also stole off google and I photoshopped it.

@ValentineMommy: cute! Love the name you picked out
I just had my first bout of serious pregnancy hormones. It was bed time for DS and once every 2 weeks or so he starts crying when we leave. Usually I just put him back in bed, close the door and 5 min later he's asleep. Well tonight he starts crying and while I give "1 more hug" he latches on and starts bawling "mommy! No bye bye, I love you" and it's right in my ear and he's got a good grip so I can't easily get out and he's just crying over and over. So pretty soon I'm bawling too and I can't move to undo myself or console DS, so I end up calling out to DH who disentangles us and has DS tear free in under a minute. I on the other hand took at least 5 minutes to stop crying. Gah, these hormones are crazy!!!

Okay so I will be 20 weeks the Monday after Thanksgiving. Would you see if you could have your anatomy scan at 19 weeks just so you could get some of the Black Friday deals?
pomelo / 5791 posts
@JennyPenny: Thank you! And that story is super cute - I've actually had moments like that while NOT pregnant lol. But then again, I'm a crier.
@littleblessings: Sure, why not? MFM near me does anatomy scans anywhere from 19-21 weeks, so I don't see why that would be a problem. In fact, at least 1 of my LOs scans was at 19 weeks. Now that I think about it, I'm scheduled during my 19th week this time too.
pear / 1739 posts
@ValentineMommy: thank you for the input. Definitely going to try for that week if I can get it. Next thing I have to figure out is what time. My daughter wants to go but she is in school until noon and SO has work at 2. His job is 45 minutes away from the appointment. I'm thinking I'll schedule as close to noon as I can and pull DD out of school for maybe a half hour. Idk what to do. I don't want her to get mad for missing it. She really enjoyed the last ultrasound and this one is pretty monumental.

@littleblessings: Aw that's so sweet! How old is she? I don't think DS1 could handle sitting that long. Lol
pear / 1739 posts
@ValentineMommy: she is 4. She didn't really sit last time. She stood next to the bed looking at the monitor with me but she wasn't scared and she wasn't all over the place

I've had the worst headaches ever for the last week. Ugh. Tylenol barely touches the pain.
nectarine / 2636 posts
@littleblessings: yes, I get headaches almost every afternoon! Today, I really made an effort to drink more water. I drank about 12 oz before breakfast, which I think got me off to a good start today and I didn't have a headache this afternoon. Are you drinking enough? Do you have any essential oils? I've heard peppermint on the base of your neck and temples can help.
pear / 1739 posts
@abbydabbydoodlebug: I drink sooooo much that I'm in the bathroom half of the day. I also make sure I'm eating because that causes them too. I'm just losing this headache battle. Like it gets to the point where I can't function
nectarine / 2636 posts
@littleblessings: ugh, boo. Sorry lady. The headaches are the worst. Hope you can find something to help. Aroma therapy? Tylenol never helps me. I always took ibuprofen pre-pregnancy.

@abbydabbydoodlebug: I have an appointment Tuesday. Hoping I can muddle through until then. Just have to figure out how not to get a headache Monday since it'll be trick or treating with my littles.

@littleblessings: So sorry to hear you have the headaches so badly. It was terrible for me last time, better this time. They did go away but it was kind of gradual and was a while before they went away completely.

Hello Ladies! I had an appointment yesterday which ended up being a blessing in disguise!
Yesterday I was heading home to let the pups out before our appointment and also pick up my husband to come along and I was rear ended while I was going 25 and the lady was going 55. She didn't even attempt to stop! I drove a Subaru Outback and I continue to thank heaven for the safety of my car! My co worker came and grabbed me and I was able to make it to the midwife appointment. I'm having some residual neck and head pain as well as calf pain (slamming the breaks can really compact them apparently!).
Got to hear baby's heart at a steady 140bpm! And he/she was moving around like CRAZY! My midwife had a hard time finding it. I go back to my general care physician later today.
Best part, we're both completely okay. Stressful and a ball of nerves but just fine!

@mrsmacSLP: Oh my gosh! I'm so glad you and the little peanut are okay, and thank goodness for Subaru safety!
@littleblessings: I'm right there with you on the headaches! I haven't tried Tylenol yet cause I'm lazy to go buy some but I know I am definitely not drinking enough water, it still repulses me thanks to lingering morning sickness. Today my headache is going all the way down the back of my head into my neck. It makes me just want to lay down! 4 more hours of work!

@mrsmacSLP: Yikes! I'm glad you and the baby are okay. I hope your pain subsides soon. Sucks to have extra pain on top of the aches of pregnancy.

So yesterday morning I had a pretty good scare. I woke up around 4am really having to pee, but when I went to get out of bed, I had intense uterine and pelvic pain and cramping. I had to walk hunched over to the bathroom, and was so afraid I was going to see blood. I didn't thankfully.
I went to work (at an ER) and informally consulted my OB friend. She thought it all sounded concerning as well, so I left work for a bit to get an US, cervical check and exam. Everything with the baby looked good.
Today I feel MUCH MUCH better. Looking back, I think this was all round ligament pain. I guess I just assumed that type of pain would come on a bit more gradually as things stretched and grew. Does anyone else have any experience with round ligament pain? Is it sudden or gradual? 1st baby for me, so no frame of reference and everything feels abnormal.
Bright side of the whole thing was it helped me identify that my OB clinic had accidentally cancelled my upcoming appointment to discuss the anatomy scan at 20 weeks.

@yellowbeach: my round ligament pain was sudden. I stood up and felt abnormally sore. Then I sneezed and about cried. Now I hold the belly if I need to sneeze or cough. It helps
grapefruit / 4213 posts
@mrsmacSLP: Thank goodness you and baby are safe. What a scary event!
@yellowbeach: I'm glad everything is okay and you don't have to worry. Silver lining, you got an extra peek at baby, so there's that. If it makes you feel any better, I've had similar shooting, intense (but relatively brief) pains with all my pregnancies. The other day I was laughing and got a sharp shooting pain in my lower abdomen. Freaked DH out because my laugh ended in a surprise pain yelp, lol. As long as the pain/cramping doesn't last too long then I chalk it up to uterine growth and expansion.
nectarine / 2460 posts
@yellowbeach: I'm glad everything turned out okay! Pregnancy is such a hard time because everything is always "97% of the time this is completely normal, but 3% of the time it means awful terrible things"
@littleblessings: We're taking DS trick-or-treating early, then handing out candy. He's going as an astronaut and is so excited. This is the first time he "gets" Halloween so it's super cute
pear / 1739 posts
@JennyPenny: if things work out as planned we will have a family dinner followed by trick or treating with my parents and two of my sisters. (My sisters are 7&9) so that should be fun. All else fails I'll walk them around near home.
nectarine / 2636 posts
@littleblessings: we're hosting a Halloweiner tonight for some family and neighbors. We're pulling the grill to the front yard and grilling up hot dogs for everyone. It's our first year doing it so I hope everyone has a good time! We're going to head out trick or treating after with all the kids. DD is going as Minnie Mouse and she's so excited, but she's most excited that she gets to wear make up like mommy, haha. I got her some red lipstick to wear tonight.
In other news, I've been having this tickle/scratchy throat that won't go away. My voice is really bad in the morning so I'm hoping I'm not sick. I don't feel sick other than the throat thing so I'm not sure what's going on. And I officially graduated to maternity pants! Lol.

So now I think I'm 95% sure I'm feeling baby move. It's been a while where I've been feeling some movement in my belly that seems more like baby than gas/digestion. I used to be like 30% sure it was baby but more and more I'm thinking it's baby. Still haven't had a definitive jab or tickle yet though.

@mrsmacSLP: so glad you're ok!!!!
@yellowbeach: my round ligament pain was always sudden. Glad you're ok, and feeling better now though!!
@littleblessings: ds1 had a parade at school this morning. Tonight we will take both boys trick or treating. Ds2 will probably sit in the wagon most of the time though! It's cold today too!!
@JennyPenny: I have been thinking I've felt movement the past few days too! Exciting!!!!

Had an appointment today. Baby kept moving around while the heart was being checked. My anatomy scan is November 22nd!
pomelo / 5220 posts
@yellowbeach: I'm glad everything is okay! I tend to only have round ligament pain when I an in scenarios like yours - usually middle of the night when I go from being curled into a ball to suddenly getting up to go to the bathroom or if I sneeze really hard and my muscles cramp suddenly.
@JennyPenny: I am thinking I can feel movement too sometimes! I thought I felt it a few weeks ago but then it sort of went away and now it's back. Of course now I've freaked myself out that something is wrong that I felt it before but now I don't as often....oh pregnancy brain, you love to overthink!!
nectarine / 2460 posts
@littleblessings: Awesome! I'm so excited for it to be November. That seems like the month where everyone was having their anatomy scans scheduled. So excited for all the announcements
So after feeling mostly awesome for much of the first tri, I've had nausea today and yesterday. If I get morning sickness starting in the 2nd tri, well, that just feels like a cruel joke. I'm kind of hoping its just a bug, but then that also seems wrong to hope for too...

Felt her moving for the first time this morning!
18weeks on the dot.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Baby and I are doing great after the accident. We got confirmation the person who hit me had no insurance at the time and thankfully we had comprehensive insurance to take over. They're
Leaving my medical open until after our anatomy scan (November 18!!!) just to ensure everything is great! I am jealous of all your movements! I haven't felt anything!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@JennyPenny: Ugh, sorry you're not feeling well. You're in good company though, cause I'm still nauseous daily. At least I'm not throwing up, but still. Hopefully it was a fluke and you're feeling better soon! Are you eating small snacks throughout the day? That supposedly helps, but I'm terrible at it!
@yellowbeach: Yay! That's so exciting - I can't wait to feel real movement!
