@JennyPenny: I'm sorry you aren't feeling well! Im still throwing up every few days. The only thing that helps me is to eat constantly. I hope you feel better soon!
@yellowbeach: so exciting!

Just had my first high risk appointment and I found out we are having another little boy!! Ahh! I was so shocked that we found out.... and since I've been so much sicker this time! Part of me was a little disappointed and part of me is super pumped!

@littleblessings: We are! I'm second guessing it just a little bit but I think I'll stick with it. We found out last time so we think it'll be fun to try both ways.

Hi ladies! Does anyone mind if I pop in here every so often? I'm due May 10, but will have a repeat c-section the first week of May. The May board isn't very active, which makes me sad because my previous due date groups were super active

@lilteacherbee: Welcome! Why not?! You're a momma either way. My LO1 was born in May. Good month

@littleblessings: @bubblegum: Thank you!! We are excited, our little one will LOVE a little brother!
@lilteacherbee: Welcome! How many weeks are you? My last board was super active too, so its nice to find another group this time around too!

@bubblegum: @psw27: Thanks! I'm 13 weeks with #3 Big brothers are almost 3 and 15 months. We just found out last week that this one is a little girl!

@psw27: I love Cole! We considered it for a middle name if this one turned out to be another boy.

@lilteacherbee: Welcome! I think we had our first babies around the same time- I was December 2013. My sister just had a little girl after two boys, so sweet!
@psw27: I really like the name Cole! I know someone who named her sons all C names and she has a Cole.

@bubblegum: @lilteacherbee: @MOMTOLITTLEB: thanks! We'll see if it sticks!

@ValentineMommy: Thank you! I'm excited! Now I am just thinking about all the baby clothes I have to sort... I just threw them all in a tupperware storage bins. Nesting begins? lol

@lilteacherbee: welcome! I'll most likely be in the beginning of may too because I'll most likely go late since it runs in my family.

@bubblegum: Thanks!
@MOMTOLITTLEB: Yes, he's a November 2013 baby
@ValentineMommy: Eeeek! it's still very surreal to me!
@psw27: Before my second son was born, I put all the clothes in tubs by size and when he outgrew a size, I just pulled out the next size. Of course, now it's all completely unorganized again...

@abbydabbydoodlebug: Thanks! Maybe we'll deliver on the same day. There were like 4 or 5 of us in my Aug 2015 group that had our babies on the same day!
pomelo / 5791 posts
@psw27: are they going to be born the same season? Mine were totally opposite, and could never wear the same stuff!! I have so many boy clothes now!!
@lilteacherbee: same here. Since we haven't seen her yet, and it was a dna test, I'm still afraid it's not real!!
pomelo / 5220 posts
@ValentineMommy: hmm you're right, I doubt there will be a lot of overlap. My son was born in August but was a preemie so lots of tiny, tiny clothes while it was warm and then it was freezing from November-June. This one will be April and it won't be warm here until June and I'm hoping he will be born a bit bigger! So... I'll probably have an excess amount of clothing like you!

today is the first day that i have legitimately felt the baby move! i had a dr appt this morning and the Dr was chasing him (i feel like its a boy) around my belly trying to trap him in one spot so he could hear the heartbeat : )
Also, i was able to move my anatomy scan from Dec 2nd to Nov 21st! i'm so pumped about that!

@lilteacherbee: welcome! I'm also part of the March group because my original due date was March 21st!
Ladies, I've been so stressed with the recent accident, and being pregnant leads to a weakened immune system THUS I caught the gunk going around my schools! My poor kiddo this morning watched me throw up three times! Turns out I had a low grade fever!
My Subaru was officially deemed totaled yesterday and the driver who hit me was uninsured for two days! I now have to find a vehicle in two weeks that makes me as happy as my subie.
nectarine / 2649 posts
@mrsmacSLP: I just bought my first Subie a month ago and am in love, so I get it. I never realized it was a mini-cult.
On another note, ran into my IVF transfer nurse today at work. Her brother was in the ED as my patient. She recognized me. WHen I pointed down and told her it was a little girl, she immediately started crying. She said they never tell them outcomes. Seriously??? I would think that would be half the motivation for doing that job.

@yellowbeach: That's so nice you got to tell your nurse the good news. I'm sure she is invested in the patients she helps.
As a second time mom I have heard that I'll show earlier- true and maybe deliver sooner- I kind of question that one but I can see why it would happen. But we also feel the baby move sooner- I just learned that is true for me but I don't know why! Is it that we recognize the movement earlier?
apricot / 308 posts
@yellowbeach: hahaha yes a mini cult! We're opting to get something bigger now- Toyota 4Runner for its towing capability. But I owned my Outback for 5 years! Loved that thing!
How can they not tell the nurses?!? That's what they're in it for right?!
@MOMTOLITTLEB: feeling baby move my understanding is you know what to expect. Yesterday I felt something but I don't know! What does it feel like?!
persimmon / 1188 posts
@mrsmacSLP: It feels like a tickle more than a kick at this point. If I'm very still sometimes I can feel movement on the right side of my belly. It's the most incredible feeling!
Also we have a 4Runner as our family car and we love it. Our's is really old but my husband still drives it on ever trip we take instead of my brand new RAV4. It's very comfortable for the 3 of us and I think it will be nice with one more too.

@MOMTOLITTLEB: oh okay, maybe mine was a gas bubble. Thought I felt a rolling movement (all up front). I'm 19weeks today so just waiting!
Thanks for sharing about your 4Runner, we're looking at a 2006 and 2008 this week. We can't afford a new one and daycare

@mrsmacSLP: we've had a 4Runner since 2004 and love it!! We are getting rid of it for a minivan. We are going to miss it so much!!

@yellowbeach: I can't believe they don't tell the nurses! How sad for them! Does everyone mail holiday cards with their cute babes on them at least? I did that for the NICU nurses (not that it's the same...) but I feel like they always wonder how the little ones do after they get discharged.
@mrsmacSLP: my mom had a 4Runner for forever that she loved! I think it was an 06 or 08 but she destroys cars at our cabin in Colorado - its basically off roading - so she finally got rid of it this year with over 250k miles and got a new Ford Explorer, which she also likes. My brother is a subie person so I get the obsession. We are Jeep people, which has been working pretty well so far.

@psw27: This weekend DS asked if he could have friends over to play trains. This is the first time he ever mentioned wanting to have friends at home and for some reason it made me super hope this LO is a boy so he can have a little brother to play with. Not that a sister wouldn't play trains with him too... there's just something special about same-sex siblings I think (maybe I just think this because I don't have any sisters of my own and have always been jealous of girls who do)

@JennyPenny: Aww that's so cute! I agree, there is something about boys playing together that I can envision and think is adorable! I always wanted a sister too so I know exactly what you mean!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@JennyPenny: Thanks! My little boys play together (and fight/argue...) already at 3 and 15 months. It's pretty adorable! I'm a little sad that my daughter won't have a sister though (my sister and I are really close).

Who has bought things for the baby already and what have you bought?
I bought a few baby bath items that were on sale. I have the crib that could work for either sex and a swing that I got really cheap.
