So what is on everyone's "to-do" list for this weekend? Here is mine:
-Plan of attack for implementing freezer meals (I'll report back)
-Start developing my approach to meal planning (and implementing it)
-First trip to BBB (likely with my mom) to start getting familiar with some items and maybe start registering (esp for breast feeding related stuff)
-Figure out a plan to visit the three day cares we have decided to look at
DH and I are finally combining finances (until now we have had everything separate - now we are starting to do everything joint) hence the need for serious meal planning!

@Mrs D: wow. you are organized!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have ... nothing on my to-do list right now.
I guess I want to get the office cleared out, but I haven't made that a priority. Otherwise. I'm not totally sure what needs to be done. I was hoping the Bump would have a nice list like they did for wedding planning, but I'm not sure it's quite the same and I'm not liking it so far. I need someone to tell me what to do.

@Mrs D: Wow!! Your office is so clean and spacious! Mine has boxes of stuff everywhere that I'm waiting for the hubby to move out/toss! There's even a small pile of baby stuff growing in there now because I raided Carter's the other night... Oops!
No plans for this weekend yet. Maybe I'll ask the hubby to go to BBB or Target and start a registry? We're going to a baby consignment sale tonight so maybe we'll pick up some items for cheap! Like a Medela breastpump (since my insurance only covers a manual - lame), Ergo carrier, stroller, etc.

@Mrs D: I emailed them. They were quick to respond to which was great, but boo on their actual response. lol

Hmmm...a super cute coach messenger diaper bag just went on sale for $108 plus delivery...may have to snag it!

My to-do list is all about vehicles and outside work this weekend, pretty boring!
I was remembering on WB there was a weekly pregnancy update thread, you answer the same questions every week and update with a bump pic too. Would you be interested in doing that? I can go back and copy it

Got super panicky at work today, which was bizarre. We book patients for appointments six months in advance, and as I was booking today, I realized that in six months, I'll have a BABY! Don't know why it just hit me today, but holy crap, I started getting all nervous.
Counting down...two weeks to our anatomy scan! Can't wait!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@StbHisMrs: that totally sounds like fun!
@redsmarties: I've noticed I get more anxious about everything these days! I cannot believe that in 6 we'll all have babies. Just complete insanity and still so much to do! Counting down those days with you!
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@StbHisMrs: Oooh, yes, that's a fun idea! I'll keep an eye out for that thread, too, just in case it comes up. I think that's a great way to keep track of everyone!

@Mrs D: my to-do list consists of sleep! I've overdone it this week and I'm exhausted. I need more sleep. #2 will be to convince DH to paint swatches in the nursery (he doesn't want me to do it because they are non-VOC testers).

@redsmarties: and @.twist.:
Should it be in this forum or maybe in the pregnancy forum?
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@StbHisMrs: Are we not in the pregnancy forum? Lol I don't pay any attention to the categories. Pregnancy is probably a good spot for it.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
@redsmarties: Honestly I have a hard time figuring it all out, lol! I think this is just those of us due in August, and the pregnancy forum is all due dates?
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@StbHisMrs: makes sense. I think general pregnancy would be good, and that way anyone who wants to can get in on the fun!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
@StbHisMrs: I'm late to add my comment, but I think that would be super fun and I think pregnancy is the right place!

@Mrs D: Look at you with your to-do list! My weekend is pretty busy so I don't have a to-do list, buuuut I should start looking into/researching day cares.
So I bought my first pair of maternity leggings, and HOLY MOLY are they comfy!!! I think I found what I'll be wearing for the next 5 months....Yes I said 5 months!! Today marks 5 months to my due date. SO CRAZY!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@StbHisMrs: You can make another thread in the august 2013 due dates category!

@skipper2010: Woohoo - 5 month count down!!!
I just made my facebook announcement...so fun to be far enough and comfortable enough to say it out loud.
I got my NT results, "normal", I was kind of expecting a 1 in XXX type result but maybe I'll get that at my next actual appointment! Either way, normal sounds good to me!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Mrs D: Yea, I think normal is just based on the ultrasound part. The 1 in xxxx result is from your bloodwork, which comes back in 3-5 days. But normal is great!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
@Alivoo01: ya, thats what I thought too - but this was the result from our blood work and u/s together. weird! Thats why I am thinking I may hear more at my next appointment - maybe they only give normal not normal over the phone!

Anybody else have a magical disappearing bump? I swear it is there one day and gone the next! Sometimes I even look thinner than I did pre-pregnancy! It is seriously freaky. And kinda makes me worry more than I should. I mean, 14 1/2 weeks there should be a small but discernible bump that doesn't disappear right? Ugh...
pear / 1812 posts
@Mrs D: Normal is really good to hear! I am sure if there were any concerns at all they would tell you and not blindside you at the appt.
pear / 1812 posts
@Mrs D: Relax. I have to volunteer at this consignment sale thing. I promised to do 5 hours in order to get in before anybody else, with other volunteers. I really don't wanna go but I kinda have to. Gonna drag Mr. Hedgie along with me though!
This sale was freaking amazing! I got nearly brand new stuff that would have all cost me atleast 1 K new for just under $300. Uhm, DEAL! And the only reason it was that expensive is because we got our travel system, the one we have been drooling over ($98, used once) and a glider w/ ottoman ($100, only set up to display at the sale. Never ever used... ever.) OMG. I could go on and on about the amazing deals we got!

HI August mamas to be! October mama to be here. Sorry to board crash but wanted to ask a question. Did any of you have the NT scan at 12 weeks? Did your insurance pay for it? Cigna has a healthy babies/healthy pregnancy program I'm doing, and the nurse said she believed so, but because she didn't have access to my exact plan she wasn't sure. Wanted to see if anyone else elected to get the scan (we will no matter the cost, I just like to be prepared!) and if they were charged for it.
Thanks for helping me with my budget this month! My appt is on 4/2 and I can't wait to see baby again! Congrats to all of you!

@KJfromNJ: I did the NT scan when I was 12 weeks, and insurance covered it.

@lawbee11: Eeek! Your gender scan is tomorrow!!! Do you have any feelings on what it will be? So excited for you! Mine is on Tuesday and I can hardly wait!
@KJfromNJ: My insurance covered mine. If you're unsure you could always call your insurance and ask. I have no clue what the cost would be without it. Good luck!
@Mrs Hedgehog: Congrats on your fabulous deals and purchases!
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Mrs D: I had to ask my dr specifically for the 1 in xxxx figure. She said she'd have more at our next appointment.
@KJfromNJ: funny, I just got the bill today! Nt scan charges before insurance was $325. After insurance it's $35.
@Mrs Hedgehog: wow, what an awesome deal!!
I'm so tired girls. Looking forward to vegging this weekend. Had our anatomy scan today and everything looked great; we're still team burger! My sil found out she's team hotdog. I was feeling kinda low on Monday and treated myself to some cute clothes from Carter's. I can't stand the cute!
The kitchen is going through its remodel and looks amazing.
@lawbee11: can't wait for your gender scan tomorrow!!
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
Look at what happened the other day. Seriously, baby showed up!

@lawbee11 - I am SO excited for your gender scan tomorrow, haha. I'd be bouncing off the walls!
@StrawberryBee: Hooray! Love that its still a little girl. Now you can really start planning, eh? Excited for you.

@Mrs D: @redsmarties: I am seriously LOVING the bumps! So exciting to see people starting to show! You both look amazing.

Also, I am just curious. Where is everybody? I know we have a few from Texas, @Alivoo01: @lawbee11: and myself. And I know @.twist.: is in Canada, (ladies, correct me if I am wrong) but where is everybody else from?
pineapple / 12802 posts
@Mrs D: @redsmarties: Look at those CUTE bumps!!!
@StrawberryBee: I've been feeling down all week so I totally feel you. I might need some retail therapy soon.
@Mrs Hedgehog: Yep, I'm from Canada, Alberta specifically in case anyone else is, we could be frieeeeends IRL!
So, I've had probably one of the roughest weeks of my life, seriously, I won't go into detail because it's silly and whatever, but one of my co-workers must have noticed and today she GIFTED me a gift card to Ikea for $250 dollars. Told me to buy our crib with it. I was so touched and told her I couldn't accept something so generous but she refused to take it back. Seriously sweet. So I get to go to Ikea and get baby stuff for FREE!

@KJfromNJ: I did mine at 12 weeks and it was covered by insurance. Sorry I'm not more help!
@skipper2010: DH thinks it's a boy, and I have been leaning towards girl the past few days, but I don't have a super strong feeling. Guess we'll find out soon!
@StrawberryBee: @redsmarties: I can't wait either!! Hopefully I can sleep tonight.
@Mrs D: @redsmarties: Love the bump shots!! Y'all both look fantastic!!

@lawbee11: I find it hard to get a "feeling" of the gender! I admire those gals who just "know". I wish I could just tell!

@redsmarties: Oh my gosh! Look at you! It's so crazy to think I might have that in two weeks
.@Mrs Hedgehog: I'm in Canada too.

@redsmarties: thanks!! I'm not sure if I'll fully believe girl until she comes out ;D
@KJfromNJ: I should clarify that that bill was only for the ultrasound. Not sure what the charge for the bloodwork is yet. Still, I had the same concern about coverage and my office told me they've never seen someone not covered for it.
@Mrs Hedgehog: I'm in pa
@.twist.: aww, sorry to hear you've had a rough week too. What a wonderful coworker!
I have a question for you girls. Are you close to your mother? Does she ask you about how your appointments go? I continue to feel like my mother doesn't really care, and it hurts. I invited her to our elective ultrasound and she chose to spend the day with her boyfriend instead. She doesn't remember when any of our dr appointments are. I purposefully didn't remind her about the anatomy scan today and she didn't ask me about it at all.
She 'acts' excited but it feels...insincere. Like she's going through the motions but is in fact removed emotionally. I felt the same way when I was engaged and trying to plan the wedding on my own. I had to coax her to go dress shopping with me. What's worse is that she always has time for my brother and sister. I happen to know that my coworker is keeping her on track to have my shower. If not for my coworker, I wonder if she'd even bother to have it. I don't know, I guess I'm just disappointed in my family. It feels like the people who are supposed to be there for me the most are the ones that let me down. Thank goodness for DH.
