@JamieLee: my veil was almost like yours! Except I think mine lay flat on my head, and I think yours has some gathers.
clementine / 930 posts
@Grace: Yeah, it was all gathered at the comb. I just had it out last year and I was wearing it around my house while I was hanging out with my girlfriends!

@JamieLee: Can I just say JEALOUS! You so have the beautiful tree colors in your pictures that I was going for! I did love my photog - he let us just be our silly somewhat drunk selves! I mean, nothing says classy like the bride holding a champagne bottle (also have a picture chugging it - but I have at least 2 chins in that pictures so I will not be posting!)

I'm now in Budapest and EXHAUSTED! I barely slept on my overnight flight (but I did get upgraded - score!) and then had 40 minutes to sprint through Amsterdam airport and make my connection. I was a hot sweaty mess for the first 20 mins of that flight. I got to my hotel and lost all steam - thankfully at 2pm my co-worker called and called until I answered. She had a whole day planned out - so from 3pm-8pm we walked the city, toured museums and ate some yummy local food. Needless to say I should be sleeping like a baby in the next hour!

@Ocean girl: We ARE twins: both 18 weeks and the wedding I'm in is ALSO July 20th. So we're both going to be swollen sweaty messes in bridesmaid dresses! Cheers!!

Oh my goodness ladies! I swear with this work schedule I can't keep up with you guys!
I do have to post this because I am just so excited about it...
As I mentioned before we were too impatient and opted for an elective gender scan, which I am sooo happy we did because now we know for sure that we are having a girl. My parents though, decided to surprise us with an upgrade and get us the 3D package, one for now, and one for later around 29-34 weeks.
She kinda looks like an alien since she is only 18 weeks and doesn't really have any fat on her but... Look!!!
The last one she is actually bending and touching her toes... somehow I didn't feel that At. All. seriously! How do I not feel that!
pear / 1812 posts
Hmm... lets try that again? Also her head looks funny because you can actually see the plates in her skull as they are still forming. Weird...

so we found out this morning that it's a girl!!! we are really excited to be having a girl, so now we'll have one of each! :o) totally done after this baby as well.
everything looked great and i go back for another ultrasound 4/25 because i'm measuring a week ahead still so they want to do another one to see how she's growing, and to possibly change my due date.

@delight: I plan on taking the hubby along when we register. He’s kind of clueless as to what all we need to register for but he provides great insight when I’m debating between products/styles/color. Plus, he enjoyed registering for our wedding, and he’s totally head over heels for the baby so I’m sure he won’t mind! =) But I think going with your friend who’s due close to you would be fun!
@Ocean girl: LOL at your chili comment!!!
@Mrs D: yay for baby purchases!! Love your wedding picture! So much fun!! And yay for scoring an upgrade on your flight! Have fun in Budapest and don’t work too hard!!
@redsmarties: Yay for awesome sales people that help you out, and LOL at your prenatal exercise comment. That’s so me!! I’ve been too lazy to work out, and if I take an extended walk, I get so damn proud of myself for “exercising”. LOL!!
@mrs. peep: I feel ya on the dress! I’ll be a BM in my BFF’s wedding when I’m 30 weeks along, and I go back to the alterations lady 2 weeks prior to get everything fitted right. I’m afraid to see what “size” I am then!
I’m jealous that you get to feel constant movement!! I feel mine every once in a while, but nothing consistent yet. Can’t wait for that to happen. I’m sure when it does, I’ll tell DS to chill – haha!
@Ocean girl: I too am worried about the sizing of my feet come wedding time! I need to order shoes here in the next week or two, and I’m crossing my fingers I will still be able to wear the comfortably come wedding time. Otherwise, pretty shoes for pictures then hello flip flops! Thank goodness for floor length dresses. Lol!
@JamieLee: OMG!! Love your color scheme!! I may be slightly biased since that’s pretty similar to my wedding color (clover green).
@Mrs Hedgehog: That’s so sweet of your parents to buy you an upgrade!! You can clearly see your baby in picture #3! Love it!
@sarbear: Congrats on being team hamburger, and that’s awesome you now will have one of each! We’re hoping to have one of each also!! And yay for another peak at your baby in a month!!

@mrs. peep: Bummer on the timing of the wedding but I bet you'll still have a blast!!
@lawbee11: Now that my muscles are sore and I've felt the baby move a bunch I'm feeling a lot better about it and can't wait to do another work out tonight!
@JamieLee: Beautiful photos! We had a fall wedding too and I loved it!
@Mrs Hedgehog: Awwww! Hello baby girl!
@sarbear: Congrats on a little girl!!! That is so exciting!
@Mrs D: What a great idea! I love your wedding photos!
Here's a few from our wedding

@Mrs D: You're the metro Detroiter, right? Where was your wedding? The fence looks familiar...
clementine / 930 posts
@.twist.: Love the pictures! That looks like a fun venue.
@Mrs Hedgehog: Yay for an upgraded peak at the baby. I believe our office does 3d, but I'm not sure when. A lot of friends showed me 3d pics (it's one of two practices in the area, so most of the people I know go there).
@sarbear: So excited you found out you're having a girl. All you ladies who already know what team you're on are making me jealous. We still have to wait 11 days!
@Alivoo01: Green is my most favorite color. Check out my shoes from the wedding. I spent months searching online and in local stores for these babies. Haven't worn them since though!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@JamieLee: OMG!!! I'm totally jelly of your shoes!! Did you dye them or actually find a pair? I was looking for a pair of colored shoes, but found only dye-ables available. And I didn't like any of the styles of the dye-able shoes at that time so I just did regular ole ivory colored shoes.

Gaaahhhhh! I got a call from the doctor's office and the results from the triple test came back positive. I KNEW IT! I knew that stupid test woukd come back positive and it would just serve to make me crazy for the rest of the pregnancy. So I go in for a fetal assessment (ultrasound) on Thursday. I'm so mad. I knew it would come back positive and I'm sure that nothing is wrong. But we probably won't know for sure until Baby is born.

@sarbear: Congrats on your little girl! How perfect that you will have one of each!
@Grace: Oh no! I hope this doesn't cause you too much stress/worry. I've heard that there's a high percentage of false positives on that screening test so hopefully that's what happened in your case. Keep us posted on your ultrasound and I'll be sending positive thoughts your way....
clementine / 930 posts
@Alivoo01: I found them online that color. They're Caparros. It took me a lot of searching to find them though. I didn't like any of the dye-ables either.
@Grace: I had to google that test...so sorry you got that news! I'm sure it's nothing. Those tests have a high level of false positives. Would you get an amnio? Look at it this way, you get an extra peek at baby. I know that won't make you not worry, but it's a silver lining. I decided not to even have the tests because I'm such a worrier and I just knew that we would have abnormal results. I feel for you girl!

@JamieLee: OMG! My wedding shoes were caparros!! Nooooo. hahaha!
@Grace: So sorry to hear about the news. Like you said, it has a high level of false positives so don't dwell on it too much. Your baby is healthy, and doctors haven't mentioned/seen anything yet! *hugs*

Hey ladies, Just wondering...do any of you have a specific food that you are always craving and have always wanted/been able to eat so far? Mine is fruit! Fruit of any kind, I cannot get enough of!
I wonder if there are any old wives' tales about that!
@.twist.: Thank you!!!
cantaloupe / 6730 posts
@sarbear: Congrats on your little girl!
@JamieLee: I don't think I'd get an amnio. I *think* it only tells you about chromosomal abornomalities anyways, and as far as I know, there's nothing you can do about it. Somehow, the idea of knowing there is something wrong for the rest of the pregnancy makes me sad. I think I'd rather find out when Baby gets here. And it's all a moot point anyways, because Baby is fine! (my new mantra).
I love your mood boards. Especially the pic with the tree silhouettes and the little bambis. So cute.
@Alivoo01: @greenebee: Thanks! Those are good pep talks.
You gals all look so pretty in your wedding clothes!
@greenbee: I've always liked fruit too and craved it for the whole pregnancy. If you find out it means something, let me know!
clementine / 930 posts
@Grace: that's a good mantra that I think anyone could benefit from adopting. I've been trying to repeat that to myself as I approach my 20 week anatomy scan. Because we've had not screenings yet, this is kind of the big one where they will tell if anything is wrong. But nothing is wrong with your babe or mine!
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@greenebee: My major cravings are fruit, sushi and pho. However, the cooked sushi rolls just aren't cutting it, so I will have to wait until after baby to really indulge that one.
@Grace: I'm sure everything will be just fine. I like your mantra - that's a good one.
Got home from work, and hubby had assembled our crib! Really excited! Now I have to pick out some fabric/tissue paper to make giant poms for the ceiling. I think they'll be fun, and pretty easy to throw together!

@Mrs D: Woo-hoo for getting upgraded!
@Mrs Hedgehog: Awww so cute!! I think our little girl looks like an alien, too, but they are cute aliens!
@sarbear: Yay!!! Welcome to Team Hamburger! So exciting that you'll have one of each!
@Grace: Ugh, sorry the results are stressing you out. Sending positive thoughts your way!!
@JamieLee: LOVE both of your inspiration boards--so cute!!
@greenebee: I've also been craving fruit (especially berries and watermelon). Oh, and orange juice with lots of pulp!
@redsmarties: So awesome that your DH assembled the crib! Mine assembled ours and I go in and just stare at it every night before bed!
cherry / 189 posts
@redsmarties: Ooh! I love tissue poms! I made them for a good friend's baby shower and now she has them hanging in her nursery! They're so fun and quick and easy to make!

Thanks to all of you who responded about registering with my friend. I talked to my DH and he seems to want to register too. So he and I are going to go and make all the big decisions and then my girlfriend and I will go another day to register for clothes, toys, etc. Best of both worlds!
@Grace: I am sorry about the results, I can imagine how worried you are. I am thinking of you and your LO and hope all is well.
@JamieLee: Love both of your inspiration boards! Your boy board has a great rustic feel and I love the colours (and chevron prints!) in the girl room!
@greenebee: Fruit for me too, it has been the only thing I have consistently been able to eat. Veggies have been pretty much off limits.
@sarbear: congrats on your little girl!
I find out my u/s results tomorrow at my doctor's appointment. I'm looking forward to hearing the heartbeat again!
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@delight: No veggies for me either. Except spinach salad, which is my craving of the week. Just spinach, and berries. Weird.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@redsmarties: A spinach salad sounds delicious and so healthy. I just couldn't do it though. Pregnancy is weird! I never used to have a problem with veggies
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@delight: Honestly, I usually love veggies. My sister in law made this awesome veggie lasagna rolls and salad last week, and I just stared at it. I ate a few noodles, and felt so bad for not eating the rest. But hey...baby likes fruit and carbs. Can't do anything about that!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
@Mrs Hedgehog: Congrats on the little girl!!!
@sarbear: AHHHH Another girl! Congrats!!!
@.twist.: LOVE the pictures and your dress!!! And the frickin awesome moose in the background!
@JamieLee: Yes, I'm the Detroiter...my wedding was in Rochester (the fence is behind the Royal Park Hotel). Your green shoes totally made me green with envy!!! Love the inspiration boards as well!
@Grace: Sorry to hear you are stressing. For what its worth, my sisters tests came back elevated (saying she/the baby were at risk) and she has a beautiful healthy 2 year old boy now! I know it caused her stress throughout the pregnancy but she took the approach of just trying to stay calm and praying when the baby came everything would be alright!
@greenebee: We had similar wedding colors!! Love your blue and your blue shoes! Gorgeous pictures! Also, I have been eating fruit like its going out of style!!! Wonder what that means?!
This whole other time zone thing puts me so far behind you guys when I sign on in the morning - so many comments to get through! I love how chatty we are! I am also getting ridiculously excited for our anatomy scan and it is more than 2 weeks away - not sure how I'll make it! We're almost even on boys and girls at this point here - I think LO is a girl (so does DH though I know he is praying for a boy). Most people tell me they suspect a girl also...the waiting is killing me!

Well ladies, I think I've discovered my first major food aversion. I was trying to eat oatmeal for breakfast and could barely choke it down. By the last couple bites, I was gagging. I'm thinking its the texture, as I sometimes have the same problem with bananas. Too mushy or something.
What food aversions is everyone else having?
