@delight: first, DH is totally guilty of never changing a diaper. second, @Alivoo01: is right, I'm in audit for a fortune 500 company - super exciting I know!

@Alivoo01: so - the bra department has kind of surprised me. I expected to be huge by now (I was a C/D pre preg) but have not noticed much difference. I have noticed my ribs have gotten a little bigger. I'm terrified how big they'll get at the end!!!

  2. StrawberryBee

@delight: I'm a financial analyst without a finance degree (all on the job training...my degree is from an art school for multimedia/web design).

@Alivoo01: I was a DD before getting pregnant and have managed to stay in the same bras currently. I really, really do not want to get any bigger, though I know it's bound to happen (esp with breastfeeding). I'm in denial. I use an underwire (I don't see how these suckers would stay upright otherwise) and I'm probably just used to it; it doesn't bother me at all.

I did ask DH yesterday if one looked bigger than the other. The only thing worse than getting bigger would be getting lopsided!

Is everyone still comfy BD'ing with their SO's? We are still going strong :). Riding this train as long as I can!

Man alive, you ladies were busy! Have to go back and catch up on everyone's comments, haha!
Let's see - I'll try to remember it all
    1. Cloth diapering: I LOVE the idea of a diaper service, and would totally cloth diaper if this were an option (okay...an affordable option). But because its not, and because we're not on board for even MORE laundry...disposables it is. I'm okay with that, and going to look for some fairly eco-friendly ones. Unfortunately, cost is probably going to win out in the long run.
    2. Shooting pains, baby kicks, etc. These have turned into real rolls, flops and kicks. She's definitely moving around in there, and its so exciting! Lightning crotch - a real thing, for sure. That, and stretching/pulling etc. Baby's growing!
    3. Boobs - I've definitely gone up a full size, both cup and band. And even still, I'm pretty sure my boobs are going to rest on my stomach soon. Sigh.

I think that's it for now, haha. Going to meet with my supervisor tomorrow re: a new company policy. Instead of taking just an hour off here or there for appointments, the new policy is that we have to take our time in half day increments - that means that I'll need to use about 4 days of vacation/personal days just to make my appointments! This is a little bit crazy (could be worse, I know). Hopefully she'll let me stick with the old policy, or split a half day between a few appointments. Blah.

Ok ladies - just did the Suzanne Bowen Long & Lean pre-natal workout and I LOVED it! There are three segments standing (20 min) mat work (20 min) and stretching/relaxation (10 min). I only did the standing and the stretching but I skimmed through the mat work and I love it! It feels so "comfortable" - dont get me wrong still challenging but the moves feel comfortable and okay with the baby and all. I skipped the mat work b/c I could tell I was out of shape and didn't want to overdue it- but I'll do the full workout this weekend start to finish - I am sure it'll be great! Def worth the $9 or $10!!

@delight: I plan to keep working Shen baby comes home. I'll probably close my Etsy shop for a couple weeks just so I'm not stressed, but otherwise, it should be fine. Famous last words, right?

In the boob department, mine were pretty sizable to start with, and I haven't noticed much change. They're not even that sore anymore, although I still have some major nipple sensitivity.

@StrawberryBee: DH works A LOT so he's usually passed out as soon as his head hits the pillow...so not much happening here

So I'm not sure what this is, but I just got some major pain in the butt...literally! I'm having shooting pains in my butt/lower back. I'm also having pain between my shoulder blades. I cleaned my house pretty good today and I might have overcome it a tad!

  6. Grace

    cantaloupe / 6730 posts

@JamieLee: Are the butt pains really crazy and happen if you roll over, for example? I think that's sciatica. I get it sometimes when I roll over in bed. DH keeps looking at me as if I'm about to die, so I've got into the habit of groaning "my ass, oh my ass"! It makes him laugh and look less like he's about to call 911.

  7. StrawberryBee

    nectarine / 2530 posts

@Grace: Lol!! guess I should be lucky that neither my crotch nor my ass are suffering any pains yet ;D. (how's that for famous last words!)

feeling little bumps as I type ^__^. Just finished vacuuming and mopping (ish) the first floor, so I think it's time for bed. I wish I had the energy to wipe down all the flat surfaces...it's rather disgusting right now.

  8. JamieLee

    clementine / 930 posts

@Grace: yeah, I was laying in bed reading and moved my leg and it was like, owww! It's not hurting now though...these aches and pains are so weird! I was telling my girlfriend who is not ready to start TTC about all the weird stuff like the congestion/runny nose, round ligament pain, joints loosening, and lightening crotch, and she was a little perturbed!

BTW, laughed out loud literally at "my ass, oh my ass"! Thanks for the comedy!

  9. JamieLee

    clementine / 930 posts

@StrawberryBee: I hear ya on the wishing for more energy. I swept, mopped, vacuumed, tidied, and did a bunch of dishes and laundry today and I was so beat! I still need to fold said laundry and clean the bathrooms and bedroom too!

  10. StrawberryBee

    nectarine / 2530 posts

@JamieLee: more than I did! DH and I managed to do two loads of laundry between us tonight. The dogs drag in so much dirt from the backyard -- there is literally dirt all over the bookcase shelves and coffee table (underneath). I do not understand how DH can walk around on it and not feel the need to clean!

  11. delight

    pomelo / 5326 posts

@Mrs D: thanks for the DVD review! It sounds like a good one. Do you think you can keep doing the workout after baby comes to help tone? I got a yoga work out and it came with a prenatal and postnatal disc. I'm already a little bored and wouldn't mind getting another. I'll wait until you've reviewed everything

@Grace: @JamieLee: I get the shooting pain in butt too. Usually it's when I am walking, or some reason when I stand up off the toilet and start walking. The first few times it took my breath away. Like when I sneeze and my stomach feels like its ripping apart. I will say the congestion and morning bloody noses are the most annoying of my symptoms...... However, I wouldn't trade this for anything of course

@redsmarties: I hope your supervisor is understanding about your appointments. Otherwise, what a bummer!

@Grace: oh and yes, my summers off are wonderful. I will say that I am contracted by the schools and have no work in the summer, so I am not getting paid. However, I have just learned to budget throughout the rest of the year.

  12. Modern Daisy

    grapefruit / 4187 posts

@StrawberryBee: The BD'ing department has not closed for us, but it's gone from 3 times/week to about once a week since my bleeding episode. Now I bleed every time, but my Dr. said that is normal and not to worry unless it's a lot of dark red blood (it's always lighter and more like spotting).

@redsmarties: Sorry to hear about your change in work policies! That stinks that you now have to take more time off, but you're right it could be worse. Some companies make you take the full day off which would be just horrible.

@JamieLee: I've also been having tailbone pain, but it started before I got pregnant, so I dont' think it's from the pregnancy. It hurts the worst when I stand up after sitting for a long time, I have to make sure to arch my back and not put too much pressure on my tailbone which helps.

@Mrs D: That sounds like an awesome workout! I also like how you said "overdue" I definitely need to get more active, besides my regular NYC commute walking I am not getting any excersize. Good for you!

In the boob department I have also gone up a full size in the cup and the band as well. I walked into a botique bra store and asked if they had any nursing bras and the lady whisked me into a fitting room immediately and measured me. I think she was a little disappointed that I didn't buy a bra, but she only had one available and it was pricey. I just wanted to browse then buy it online. But yeah, she had me measuring as a C and told me to go ahead and buy D's. I started out as a B

@.twist.: I had my anatomy scan this morning and it is double-confirmed that we are having a bouncing baby boy! Put me down for team hotdog Also, my next appointment is for 4/26.

Everything looked good at the anatomy scan today. The ultrasound tech was super nice and explained everything she was looking at and even confirmed to us that everything looks perfect so far. What a huge relief! It was also cool to confirm the gender which we are super excited about

  14. Mrs D

    grapefruit / 4545 posts

@delight: This video has a post baby ab routine that could be good -but I haven't looked through it yet! My yoga video has a 30 minute post baby routine as well. I think this one is nice and "easy" enough that it could be done after the baby comes but maybe before any serious exercise is permitted (to be honest I dont know what the rule are on that anyways!). Its a lot of movement and stretches - you could totally add some light hand weights to make it more difficult. And I am definitely sore in my legs and a bit in my midsection today - which I love!

Post baby I'll be all over my Jillian DVDs - I'll be 30 Day Shredding as soon as I am allowed!

@StrawberryBee: I feel terrible for our current BD routine - actually right now its DH's fault bc he is sick! We are trying to work through some different positions - hoping we get back in a groove soon!

BTW - I feel I never gave a firm update on the Insurance Breast Pump thing. I have blue cross blue shield of MI - Blue Care Network (an HMO). My insurance covers the cost of a single electric pump completely. I stopped by the medical supply store I am to use and inquired about upgrading to a double - he said they are currently on back order for the double madela's but have the Advent's in stock. I asked if I could be put on a list for the Madela's and he told me just to get an Rx as soon as possible and he'll get one held for me. The upcharge for the double will be somewhere in the $60-80 range. Score! All you need is an Rx from your doctor and proof of a live birth (so you cant pick it up until after the baby comes - but I understand hospitals have pumps for you to use there anyways!).

@redsmarties: That would suck. I hope your work can accommodate you.

@StrawberryBee: @JamieLee: Glad to give you gals a chuckle!

@Modern Daisy: I'm so glad everything looks great. Congrats on your confirmed little boy!

As for me - sitting in a dr office waiting for my appt. So annoying. She's now 30 min late. How do you get backed up so early in the morning? My appt was for 9:30! Can't wait to get switched to the OB.

Hey ladies, sorry I've been MIA, I came down with a nasty cold and have been in bed since sunday!!! UGH. Starting to feel a little better today but really congested.

Just to catch up a bit, my boobs have gotten bigger but I haven't had to change bras! They're all still super comfy and fit properly.

Also, lightning crotch is totally real. I have been having it for about 2 months now on and off.

We are not cloth diapering, that is just too much work for me. I can't do it! haha.

Also, baby boy is moving around a LOT and he definitely has some strong jabs. Normally it's ok but some of them are really weird and low and on my bladder and yea... he gets into some weird positions. Especially at night.

@Moderndaisy: Congrats on baby boy!!! That is so exciting!

@StrawberryBee: We still BD once in a while, but the frequency is definitely less. Wish we did it more often, but we only see each other for a few hours each night so by the time we finally relax and unwind, we’re passed out. =(

@redsmarties: I don’t think it’s right they’re making you take “time off” to go to your doctor appointments…

@JamieLee: My butt hurts if I sit too long and my lower back hurts if I stand too long. Lose-lose situation. When one or the other starts hurting, I do the opposite to ease the pain. For standing, I’ve starting wearing a tummy/back brace that helps significantly!

@Modern Daisy: Yay for a detailed appt and confirmation on being team hot dog!!

@Mrs D: That’s awesome your insurance covers an electric pump and the upgrade to a double was minimal in cost. I have BCBS (PPO) and they only cover a single manual pump. What the crap?!

@Grace: I hate long waits at doctor offices also!! I understand emergencies come up, but sheesh!! Thankfully, my wait at the OB hasn’t been bad. When I was there for my annual exam, non-preggo, I waited for 2 hours, and my appt was at like 9am too! I was like seriously?! I might as well take the whole day off from work!!

@.twist.: Oh no!! Feel better soon!! Thanks for keeping up with list while you’re down.

@redsmarties: I meant to reply to you last night. My company has the same policy but my boss and I have an agreement where I usually get the earliest appointments (I schedule them super far in advance) so I can still be into the office by 9:30am then I just stay later that day - he says as long as I get my work/8 hours done he wont make me hit my time off! Maybe your boss would work with you if you aimed for the first or last appointments of the day to make you absence less noticeable?

@Alivoo01: My boobs haven't grown at all! They may be a little fuller, but there isn't a noticeable difference really. I am a 34B and have been wearing coobie bras since before we started TTC (I wrote about them on your other thread). I highly recommend them--so comfy!

@StrawberryBee: re: BD'ing--It's not as frequent as it used to be, but at least it's still happening for us!

@Modern Daisy: Glad everything looked good at your anatomy scan!

@.twist.: Hope you feel better soon! My DH was sick a few days ago and so he slept in the guest room for a few nights--I told him I am not taking any chances!!

@.twist.: Oh boo! Feel better soon! Also, my next appt is Apr 24

I finally got in to see my dr after 1.5 hours. I was all prepares to be ticked off, but she seemed so stressed. Apparently there was a cyst that had to be removed and it took longer than she thought it would and something about not being able to send him home because "he could die on his doorstep". Anyhoo, appt was good. Baby's heartbeat is at 135, which is boy territory, if the old wives are to be believed.

@Mrs D: I have the same insurance and was told the same thing, although not about the upgrade. That's good to know as I would rather have a double, and get one of those hands free things. Thanks for the info!

@.twist.: thanks for the update! I was starting to wonder where you were! Feel better soon! Not too many grilled cheese ladies out there...and crazy that hot dogs and hamburgers are tied!

@Modern Daisy: congrats on boy confirmation!

@Grace: sorry for your annoyingly long appointment. I haven't had to wait yet, but I've just been seeing a nurse practitioner so far and start seeing an OB around 32 weeks or so.

Baby finally moved off my bladder where it's been chillin' the last few days! It's neat being able to know now where it is. I'm glad we are past that stage where you can't feel anything and you just have to believe there is actually a baby in there.

  24. Mrs D

    grapefruit / 4545 posts

@JamieLee: Just an FYI - I have been discussing pumps a lot with my friends and a few that have the free style (the hands free medela one) have said they noticed the suction is not as strong so the pumping takes longer. If you call BCBS they will tell you that their durable medical supplier for our state is like "Northwood" something - they will give you the name of your nearest store where you can go talk to someone about upgrade options!

Also, today I feel like for some reason, every little thing is getting to me! I haven't had a major hormonal freak-out lately, but I called DH at lunch crying because I got so overwhelmed with work, and a few other small frustrating things that have happened. Ugh! I thought I was past major meltdowns, but I guess they can strike at any time! How are you all feeling?
