Well my doctors office called back and they think its the stomach flu. That would make sense, as its going around, and I would think that something I ate 5 hours ago would probably not still be making my ill.

@JamieLee: Oh no! That sucks a lot. One of my friends developed lactose intolerance during pregnancy. Apparently, it went away when Baby was born, so hopefully yours will too (if that's what it is). And if it is the stomach flu, that also sucks, but at least it will get better sooner. Take care of yourself!
@Alivoo01: I still don't have any real cravings...although one of my coworker was talking about a meat and cheese platter, which is sounding pretty tasty!

@JamieLee: ahh I have been so sick this week! I know your doctor thinks its the flu but maybe it's just MS? I haven't had any for 6 weeks but most mornings this week I've been very sick again. I hope you feel better soon!

@delight: haha - I may be organized but I have definitely not executed that list yet! All I have so far is some misc clothes (gifts bought for other babies that never got delivered for one reason or another) and a pack of each 0-3 onsies and 0-3 long sleeve onsies...so I have a long way to go to build LO's wardrobe!

This is my families first granddaughter so my parents are so thrilled! DH is (as I expected ) a little bummed he isn't getting his hot dog this time but still just as excited that baby girl looks very healthy!

My DH was bummed at first because he wanted a girl, but he's definitely come around and is now excited about a boy. I think either way you have a little regret about what won't be - you know? Plus shopping for a girl is waaay more fun than shopping for a boy!

Do y'all know when you're having your shower(s) yet? My first one is just a month away (it's with family out of state, so I wanted to do it early because I don't want to travel late in my pregnancy). It's Mother's Day weekend, so I thought that was appropriate
Then I am having one in June and possibly one in July. It's going to be a busy summer!

It's the worst.@lawbee11: I have one on June 2 for friends and family. Not sure what or when the work one is (I just know they'll do something because they have for all the other preggo girls that have come and gone over the years). Then we have a meet and greet after the baby is born for extended family.

@lawbee11: my book club is hosting a joint shower for my best friend and I who is due in July. That shower is beginning of June and will be small but fun! Our family and friends shower will be in late September. I wanted to do it after baby arrives so people can meet baby and know what colour clothes to buy

DH has a boys trip scheduled for this weekend so I told him to take the weekend to mourn the loss of his little boy dreams...he said he is SO happy the baby is healthy is just a little disappointed which I totally understand!
@lawbee11: I'm only having one shower on June 22. I think the invite list is around 50, so maybe expecting 35 or so. My MIL doesn't get that she should consider throwing me a shower - she just assumes my family will always do it. I'm going to get together with my girlfriends from college while I am in Chicago next month but it wont be anything formal. I am sure my co-workers will also do cake and a gift for me as it gets closer...but nothing big!

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies. I'm feeling a little better today, stomach wise. I'm just really weak and tired and feel really wore out. I lost 5 pounds in 24 hours, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. I'm trying to drink lots of fluids, but its hard...

@lawbee11: I'm having two showers, one on June 23, thrown by MIL and SIL, and one July 14, thrown by my aunts. That one is downstate, about a 4 hour drive, so hoping that having it so late wasn't a bad idea...

@lawbee11: Wow, 3 showers - that's awesome!! I am having two, one for my friends and relatives here then one in DH's home state. The first one will be June 2nd and the second two weeks later when we go there for a wedding. I'm sure my work will throw me one too, but usually they wait until like the day before your maternity leave is supposed to start so that won't be until later this summer.

@JamieLee: My family swears by the BRAT diet after your stomach has been through turmoil (Bananas Rice Applesauce and Toast) - its all nice and mild on your system to be sure not to agitate it.

@Mrs Bicycle: Both of our ultrasounds have proven that our little girl is quite stubborn (she takes after her Taurus mom already!). She is never willing to move around how the tech wants her to. She had me rolling all around the table yesterday - never on all fours. She also said to ask for her at my 24 weeks appointment and she'll try again to get a good profile shot!
The nurse told me yesterday that the 24 week appointment is pretty boring. And then the 28 weeks appointment they run the blood sugar analysis and some other blood tests!

My 5th prenatal appt yesterday was pretty uneventful, which is good! We listened to the DS's heartbeat, I filled out a survey to determine my chances of getting postpartum depression, and received my glucose drink for my next appt. Then after that, my appointments will be every two weeks! Omg!! It's getting real y'all!! 1 week till viability, then bi-weekly appointments. Before I know it, it'll be weekly appointments because D-day will be a few short weeks away!!!
I also received a goody bag full of info about cord blood banking. Haven't had a chance to go through it yet, but have y'all thought about cord blood banking?

@Mrs D: I just checked Amazon real quick for you and they have some girly OPI colors for around $5ish. I like princesses rule for one example. If you need a ton of colors you could always alternate different shades of pink as well. Essie on Amazon has some really cute colors too. Ballet slippers and sugar daddy are only $3.85! I hope you don't mind that I'm living vicariously through you right now.
