@.twist.: I hear ya on the chaffing. Between sweat, discharge and wanting to wear dresses all the time... It's rough. Worst part is sometimes when I pee I can't get it all out, so when I stand up it drips a little (sorry - tmi) and oh my gosh... Pee on Chaffed skin does NOT feel good.
We've been pretty solid once a weekers for the last month or two. It's kinda pathetic. But all the positions that "work" for me usually aren't possible, my nips leak which is embarrassing and I don't want them touched which is the other sure fire method. So, between feeling like if I've had so much as a bite of food there isn't possibly room for one more thing or to be at all pressed on and it really not being that exciting for me... We might do it one weekend morning before breakfast and that's it.

@Alivoo01: Maybe I'm stressing about it too much? haha I know it's not because of moving, because I'm a sloth!
@StrawberryBee: oh, and re:pad - I just cannot imagine a pad right now 24/7 in the heat. Can't do it!
@Mrs D: Ugh! I'm sorry you're dealing with this too. NOT fun. I feel like some of it is sweat too and it just totally grosses me out. Poor DH isn't even in BJ heaven because I'm so insecure about doing them. *sigh* I am just going to have to DO IT even if it's uncomfortable for the next little while.
@Sapphiresun: That's pretty much exactly how we've been going at it too. I feel like such a bad guy (although DH would never say so! haha). I also 100% get the little bit of leaking after I stand up and it just makes me SO MAD, especially when I've JUST changed liners. lol

Ok ladies, I'm off to the hospital via doctor recommendation.
Please send good vibes my way and hope that I am just peeing myself and not leaking amniotic fluid.

@.twist.: I'm hoping everything turns out alright. I spent a couple hours in L&D back at 23 weeks and was so scared, but it turned out to be nothing. I feel that my "pretty lady" (my cousin's nn for her vajayjay) is a hot mess these days. Between discharge, urine leakage, and sweatiness, it's rather...moist down there, and there is chaffing. I also have weird random pains. Today isn't bad, but yesterday it felt like someone kicked me in the vag. It's really bad after sitting for a while, especially on a hard chair. Not fun. As far as romantic time, it's been bad...I'm just not in the mood and really uncomfortable, so it's pretty much come to a halt. I feel bad but I'm just not wanting it these days. I try to "do things for him" but its not frequent...
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@JamieLee: yes, on the feeling kicked in the vag - its nearly constant for me.
@Mrs D: Chaffing. Awful. Seriously. If I could get away with sitting spread-eagle at work, I totally would. But that's not very professional, lol.
@.twist.: Like I said on your other post - hope all is well! Keep us updated!

@Strawberrybee: Woo Hoo for some progression, it's nice to get the first 3cm out of the way before real labor begins, it goes faster! My Dr. tells me that he doesn't worry to much about dialating, it's the effacement and shortening they worry about. So good for you!!! Isn't it creepy that they can feel the head, I wouldn't mention that your hubby
@Alivoo01: I have an appointment tomorrow too, with another cervical check. It's getting real!!
@.twist.: I'm stalking your other thread!
For us DTD brings on major contractions, I can't win! I don't do BJ's either, I have to do them in the shower or it grosses me out, so my poor husband isn't getting much action. We try though.

@.twist.: good luck. Sounds so weird but hope you're just extra sweaty or something.

So who is officially panicking at the thought that our dear friend @.twist.: is currently having her precious little boy?!
My panic started immediately when I saw on the other thread that she was full on in labor...anyone else feeling totally unprepared for this to be happening?!
nectarine / 2031 posts
@Mrs D: I caught it last night and started having a mini panic attack! I thought I was ready for him to make his appearance at 37 or 38 weeks but now not so much.
Just want get and that baby to be healthy and happy!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@JamieLee: Yay shower twins!
@StrawberryBee: I can't believe you are dilated!! How exciting! And I agree with your decision to not tell your DH that she could feel the head!
@.twist.: Hope you're doing well and that your little man has arrived safely or will soon! We're all rooting for you!
@Mrs D: Yes, total panic. My best friend also had her little boy on Saturday at 35w5d so that combined with this is causing major anxiety! I have got to pack my hospital bag this weekend--no more delaying it!
As far as DTD goes, it's still happening, but not very frequently. I just feel so huge and unattractive and all the discharge is the opposite of sexy. But, I have been a good wife and DH is still being "taken care of" fairly often, so he's not complaining.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Mrs D: I totally panicked since she's only a couple days ahead of me!! We're no where near ready for DS, no dresser, everything still in bags/boxes, etc., but hubby and I did discuss we'll make it work should it happen... *knocking on wood* it doesn't of course!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
Ya - I was postponing my few last shopping trips (BBB - travel system, and Target - matress and other toiletrie type items) but now I am accomplishing them this weekend no questions asked. After that we will at least have everything at the house - maybe not set up and ready but there nonetheless!
Also, I just purchased the baby connect and contraction master apps. After our first (of 4) child birthing classes last night DH is terrified we wont get to the hospital on time (its 15 miles away - 30 minutes no traffic) so I wanted to have something for accurate tracking!

@Mrs D: It totally sent me into panic mode. I woke up today and immediately got to work on my to-do list.
@.twist.: Hope everything is going well, you're going to officially be the first august mama! So excited for you to meet your little man, I'm sure you'll do great!!
kiwi / 597 posts
@StrawberryBee: Yay for being 1 cm dilated! I would def be excited for that!
@Mrs D: I can't even believe that an August mama is in labor already!!! Talk about a reality check to kick my butt in gear. I plan on packing my hospital bag as soon as I get offline!
AFM, DH and I met with the pediatrician yesterday. I feel really comfortable with him and he's easy to talk to which is super important to me since I'm sure I'll be asking him TONS of questions! I was on the fence about "interviewing" a pediatrician, but I'm glad I did it.
Also found out I tested positive for group B strep. I WILL NOT GOOGLE this! lol I know I have to receive antibiotics to prevent my baby from getting an infection and I'm going to leave it at that! haha
nectarine / 2220 posts
@Mrs D: I hope all is well with her but yeah... Our "nursery" is still VERY much an office. I've been giving baby a stern lecture that it needs to stay in there until at least July 20.
pomegranate / 3329 posts
@Mrs D: I was panicking too, she's a week ahead of me but I was reassured this morning that I'm my own normal
I just keep heading back to her thread hoping for an update! I told my husband last night and I think I made him freak out. He keeps asking me what all we need to still do/buy!!
At my appointment everything went ok, still contracting, still shortening and softening. Now he says I need to be 36 weeks to deliver at that hospital, so 2 more weeks. I know I'll go past my due date though
My body is just cruel like that.
I did have a blood test for cholestasis, which is intense itching later in pregnancy, I guess your liver doesn't function properly. I'm not sure, all I know is that I itch so badly on my hands, neck, and ears enough to wake me up at night.

@StbHisMrs: Ooh thanks, this info makes me feel better!
Oh, and I am completely and utterly unprepared. Still have no hospital bag packed, no extra key made for the house, tons of work left to do at work. I need to get my butt in gear!
So excited for Twist ^___^!!
pomelo / 5326 posts
Super awesome news for Twist!! I'm so excited! I'm also freaking out girls! Our babes are on the way! I'm so glad I painted the nursery yesterday. At least that's done.
I do have my hospital bags back and the cradle set up in our room but I still have to get all the furniture for the nursery. Hoping I still have at least 4 weeks left, but you never know!
Had my 35 week appointment today. Everything looked fine. I asked about going to cottage and OB said that was perfectly fine. I'll be 37 weeks and she says since everything is going well she doesn't see it being a problem. It helps that my cottage is near a hospital though.

Oh wow! I can't believe that an August mama had her baby today. I need to get a jump start on my list of things left to do ASAP.
@StrawberryBee: I second you on the tons of stuff left to do at work. I work at school so I'm technically off or the summer, but I have lots to do for the person filling in for me before this baby comes.

So excited for Twist, but a little freaked out now. I already had the feeling that I was going to go early (some strange hunch), and now she's got her little man! (Her EDD was 4 days after mine!) Gotta get my act together!
Need to pack a hospital bag, need to wash baby clothes (but our washer is broken), and get some things still. Hold on in there, baby!
How's everyone feeling, physically? I am in SO much pain - so uncomfortable that just getting up and going to work is exhausting. Luckily, next Friday is my last day.
nectarine / 2530 posts
@redsmarties: I feel guilty to say that I still feel fine. I keep on waiting for that uncomfortable pregnancy thing to hit.
I mean, sure I'm a bit ache-y when I first get into a standing position, peeing a lot, have acid reflux, but overall I feel like I have no right to complain! I'm usually tired in the mornings at work but perk up by 11am.
blogger / honeydew / 7081 posts
@StrawberryBee: GOOD! I'm glad you're feeling good - hold on to that as long as possible. I totally wouldn't wish this on anyone.
pear / 1812 posts
@.twist.: Sexy time? What's that? Poor Mr. Hedgie wants it but understands why there is no effing way it is happening. Too much unfun stuff going on from the chest down... heck, the chest too! Also you aren't the only one with extra moistness... It is seriously gross. And doesn't smell all that great after 12 hours of work. Ugh... Panty liners weren't even cutting it. I had to move to super light pads. Luckily Always Infinity has some super thin ones.
@JamieLee: The vag pain is seriously a constant! It hurts the most when I try to roll over in bed or stand up. I looked it up and apparently it is just another oh so fun part of the ever increasing groind and round ligament pain. My OB suggested a maternity belt but I just can't find one that is even close to comfortable and doesn't show through my clothes. Also, I only have 7 weeks left. I think I will manage.
@Mrs D: Oh, I am totally panicing and also insanely super excited! I always had a feeling she would be the first to pop! I really hope everything is going well! Gotta admit, I am also a little jealous. We are due at the very end of the month so we are WAY behind everybody else but if this little lady decides to come a few weeks early, I wont complain as long as she is healthy!
@redsmarties: I feel okay... Most of my problems are normal 8 month pregnant problems... I can't complain too much. No real swelling even in this insane summer heat!
Is anybody else getting seriously painful jabs in the ribs? This has started this past week and OW! She has definately moved head down based on her well positioned kicks to my ribs. I mean, seriously! I thought movement slowed down but I am convinced hers has picked up!

I can't believe that one of us has her baby! So excited for them!
AFM, I kind of got my butt in gear on a couple things today. I got my hospital bag mostly packed (went to Target and got some of the stuff I've needed), and called the pediatrician we are planning on seeing. Also had my 34 week appointment today. Doctor said everything looks good. I will have an ultrasound on August 1 to see how big baby is and his position. Right now, he's head down, which is good news! Doctor said after going downstate this weekend, I shouldn't travel more than an hour from the hospital...ahhh! I plan to do the last of my shopping this weekend while we are downstate, and then all I'll have to do is organize, clean, and decorate.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
I had my 36 week check up today, and not so good news for me. Almost had to admit me to the hospital for monitoring, but I lucked out. Had the NST performed during my appointment, and they let me go. I had a sonogram and DS is measuring small in the torso and legs. His head is measuring fine though. I also have low amniotic fluid so I'm put on bed rest with orders to drink non-stop. I'm seeing a high risk doctor tomorrow to figure out what's wrong. My OB also told me to pack my hospital bag tonight just in case the high risk doctor decides they need to deliver me.... I'm totally freaking out because I was measuring right on schedule and was planning on a uneventful appointment today and BAM!! Sigh....
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Alivoo01: would they have normally done the sonogram, or was there some other warning sign that concerned them? At least you didn't have to go to the hospital right away, so there's time to process a change in plans if that's what's needed. Try to stay calm, drink drink drink and hopefully things will settle down *hugs*

@Alivoo01: Ohh, lady, I hope everything goes well. Just chug that water, enjoy some time resting, and hopefully that'll be all it takes!

I'm so happy for Twist!!!! Unreal!
@Alivoo01: Positive thoughts your way chicky! Keep us posted on what the high risk doctor has to say, but most important rest up!
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
@skipper2010: I've actually done a lot of googling about group b strep (bad, I know!) and it seems like no big deal at all as long as you know about it beforehand and take the antibiotics, so I wouldn't worry too much about it!
@redsmarties: I feel fine other than my huge ass swollen feet. And they're not painful, they are just so unattractive! I still haven't had any heartburn/acid reflux and I am still sleeping really well. Knock on wood that this continues!
@Alivoo01: Drink, drink, drink! I hope everything goes well at the specialist and that baby cooks a little longer! This worries me, though, because I know your u/s was just a routine one but my doctor isn't planning to do one so what if my fluid is low or there is another issue? Ugh!

My in-laws have been over since Saturday, so no HB time. There's no way I'm going to catch up with all if you, but I'll give it a go.
@chanzi: No belly comments from strangers, but several people have been stopping me to ask about how far along I am, etc. I find it unnerving, because I like to blend into the crowd, not be noticed.
@redsmarties: I'm glad to hear everything is ok! Today is the first day that I've been having a slightly rough time. I've been doing tourist stuff with tons of walking over the last 4 days and it's caught up. My belly feels huge and tight, like the baby is trying to explode out the front. And I've started getting the groin pain too.
@delight: I'd totally go to the lake, if you'll be comfortable. There's a hospital nearby, so all is well. I could be wrong, but my understanding is that there's quite a bit of clean-up etc., after the baby is born, so it's possible that visitors won't even be allowed in until you've had your hour of skin-to-skin. And if not, get the nurses to tell them no.
My doctor said she won't do cervical checks unless the baby is actually late, so none for me!
@StrawberryBee: I can't believe you are still wearing regular shirts! I gave them up at 16 weeks or so. Also, the situation with your mom sucks. I hope you are able to figure something out, or that it becomes a non-issue. And teehee, I'm using the same frog outfit for going home!
@Sapphiresun: Oh dear. Your inlaw drama would stress me out! Stay firm. It sounds like it would be a nightmare. DH suggested that you give them your place at the 38 week visit and you go stay in a hotel. See if they take the hint. And don't get me started on the taking the baby over Christmas. They just seem so out of touch.
@StbHisMrs: Your doctor refuses to tell you what's up? That's so weird. I hope everything is good.
@Mrs D: Aren't those videos awful?!?!! One of them really made me a bit sick. I still don't have a pediatrician. My OB is getting a list to me next week, but apparently, they are in short supply. And yes, total panic that babies are coming already!!!
@Modern Daisy: I'm sorry about the suckiness in the mat leave. I hope you can work something out about the Christmas vacation.
@.twist.: A) Can't believe you had the baby!! So exciting and terrifying that one of us is on the "other side" already. B) Sexy time has been pretty rare. About once a week only and I find the belly makes it so uncomfortable and mood-killing that BJs are easier.
@Mrs Hedgehog: Definitely getting the rib jabs. I swear the bones are bruised.
@Alivoo01: Eek! I hope everything is ok! Good luck with the high risk doc.
Whew! I did it!
pomelo / 5326 posts
@redsmarties: sorry lady, but I feel fine too. I mean I'm hot and tired, but very little aches and pains. I feel like I've been very fortunate.
@Alivoo01: that all sounds very stressful. Hang in there, and keep drinking! Sorry you are on bed rest, but whatever is best for baby. I hope all goes well at your appointment tomorrow.
nectarine / 2220 posts
@redsmarties: Did you change your last day? I thought we were both done on the 26th. I'm pretty stiff/sore in the hips and have a really hard time sleeping more than anything. I'm on day 3 of no more than 4 hours and it definitely catches up with me. But overall, I still feel like I have no right to complain since I seem to have missed out on plenty of pregnancy annoyances.
@Alivoo01: Hope all is well with you and bebe!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@StrawberryBee: The sonogram was scheduled last month to help determine what position the baby is in and to take measurements. Nothing in my previous appointments raised a red flag.
@JamieLee: @skipper2010: @lawbee11: @Grace: @delight: @Sapphiresun: Thanks for the well wishes ladies! I will keep y'all posted after my appointment tomorrow. I want this baby to cook a lil longer. Me and DH are and aren't ready for him just yet!!
