PS: does anyone else think it crazy that soon there's going to be an August 2014 board? I was pregnant (though didn't know it) this time last year!
I also think I'm going to be a worry wart until E is one that I'm pregnant again. BC messed too much with my supply.

@StrawberryBee: I was just thinking it's crazy an August 2014 thread will be up soon! I can't believe it's been almost a year since we conceived L! I'll never forget Nov. 21, 2012

@skipper2010: Yay for pictures with Santa!
@StrawberryBee: Share the picture! And I was JUST telling my BFF yesterday that this time last year, I was newly preggo! Craziness!! How time flies...

@lawbee11: S has been arching his back when he lays on the floor too. He pushes up on his feet and I can stick my hand under his butt. I was kind of worried about it!
@delight: Nov. 23 or 24 was our day! Thanksgiving weekend! Lol.

@skipper2010: we haven't done a santa picture yet but we're planning to in the next couple of weeks. You should post the pic here or to the Facebook group!
@StrawberryBee: Ahh I didn't think about an August 2014 board. That is nuts! And OMG that picture! Have you seen the Hunger Games movie? I immediately thought of Peeta!

@delight: DS is in 3-6 mo clothing now too. It was sad putting away all his newborn outfits.
@StrawberryBee: Haha that pic is a riot! I've also been feeling nostalgic that this time last year I was in the 2WW and would be getting the best news of my life in just a few days!
@lawbee11: Just posted it to the FB group.

I was totally just thinking about August 2014 boards! I looked back at my charts yesterday, and it was a year ago TODAY that K was conceived haha. I told my DH and he was like..."Um, why do you know that?" Lol.
nectarine / 2530 posts
@lawbee11: ha, yes, I should have Peeta paint her face
@skipper2010: love the pic!
@redsmarties: Oh my god, I just realized the same thing! The timestamp on the positive test pic is November 16th XD. Happy Positive Day!
Edit: oops, I just noticed you said conceived, not confirmed. We conceived November 6th. Lol on your DH asking why you know that!

@StrawberryBee: haha well, it was a good day for both of us then! I didn't get my positive until November 28. Happy positive day though, haha!

I just wanted to share because I thought it was funny. I put G down for his nap on his back. I go tho check him ten mins later on the monitor and he is like this. I wish he would do this when we are watching!

@BabyMats: Isn't it so funny how they move around in the cribs? That's so cute. Any luck with a bottle yet? None over here.. Though, I did find now that I gave her the nipple to suck on as a 'toy' for a few days, when I gave her a bottle to try on the weekend, she didn't have a complete freak out. She actually almost sucked on it haha.. sorta. It's a start..
nectarine / 2031 posts
@MrsB2012: I don't remember where I read it but I gave it to him in his car seat and in his little chair and he took out! I mean he didn't finish it but it is much better than the freak out. I did have him suck on the nipples or okay with them like u suggested and I think that helped too

I've missed so much!
She's been going to work with me for a month now and it's going pretty well, pretty hectic in the mornings though. My boss calls her a little klingon, meaning nobody but Mommy can hold her! She has such a funny little personality, and makes the silliest faces too! I just started pumping and giving her bottles last week and it's going so well, she's starting to nap better so I can only assume she wasn't getting enough from my boob. Has anyone else gone through a fussy/thrashing pull away all the time nursing session? She started doing that a while ago and I can't figure it out. We still nurse 3 times a day, and then practically all night, I think she uses me as a pacifier, this co-sleeping must stop but she just won't sleep in her bed.
If you pump, how much does your baby eat at a time? It looks like she averages about 3.5-4oz each time.

@StrawberryBee: LOVE LOVE LOVE the picture!
@Lawbee11: Why didn't I think of Peeta?! So accurate! haha
@BabyMats: I absolutely love your baby's fat rolls. I just wanna gobble him up. Sorry if that's creepy. =\
@StbHisMrs: That's awesome you get to take your LO with you to work!! DS always usese me as a pacifier. It's also my go to way of calming him down when he's upset. Bad, I know, but when you're out and about, I don't want to be THAT parents so yea.... And we've been co-sleeping the past two weeks because he was ill, and I totally use my boob to put him back to sleep so that I can sleep. Bad/selfish mommy, but when he wakes up every.single.hour. OMG! I'm one tired momma and momma still gotta go to work.
As for bottle feeding, DS will take 4 to 5oz depending on how hungry he is.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
DS learned something new these past two nights, I've been putting him to sleep in his own crib at the beginning of the night (and we end up co-sleeping after his first wake up). He normally just talks to himself and watches the mobile then drift off to sleep. Well, he's been fussy after getting bored watching his mobile and start getting upset. I would peer into his crib and he'd smile back at me. I tell him it's night night time and to go to sleep. I walk away. A few minutes later, he gets upset again, I walk back to his crib - :). Really?! This happened again last night!! This kid is already learning to be manipulative!! haha!
DS has his 4 month wellness check today, and I'm excited to see what his new stats are. I'm also wanting him to be fully recovered so I can sleep train him. He still has some congestion so when he cries, the combination of snot plus tears chokes him up a bit. I'm totally pooped from the lack of sleep, but totally not ready to hear him cry unconsolably when we sleep train. Talk about tough love...

@BabyMats: aww, so cute!
@StbHisMrs: the only time E thrashes at the boob is when she's *really* worked up and I can't get her to calm down enough to take it and suck. Once she's latched on she's good unless it goes down the wrong pipe; then she'll pull off to cough it out and go back on.
DH says she's eating about 4-5oz per feeding now while I'm at work.
@Alivoo01: thanks And that is too adorable. You want to melt inside because just seeing you makes them smile, but at the same time...go to sleep, kiddo!
I finally got to watch E roll over in person! Front to back; she's really close to back to front when she stretches after I put her down in the PnP. She also grabs things now and pulls them towards her.

@Mrs D: Our babies were the same weight at the 2 week check. Paige was 1/4 in longer though. Looks like we have tall slender babies!
I like the idea of signing, but I doubt I'll ever have it together enough to do it!
@redsmarties: Is it possible to have a growth spurt every other week? I swear, my LO is ever changing...
@Alivoo01: Super late to the party, but that leaves pic is hilarious!!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@StrawberryBee: That's awesome!! DS has zero desire to roll from tummy to back. He's still a tummy time drop out. He'll lift his chest up and look around for a minute or two then just lay down and lay there or go to sleep. Fail! Meanwhile, he has showed signs of wanting to roll from back to tummy! He's almost there, but can't quite roll his legs over to make it full circle. He also tends to want to roll more often when we prop him up in a sitting/slant on the bed.
@Grace: Isn't it amazing and fun to watch them grow??? Every week is something new! Even the small things. Like this week, I noticed DS's hair is thicker on top. Totally random, but hey! haha! I wonder if it'll be the same when we decide to have another LO? Will we notice these little details too?
nectarine / 2530 posts
@Alivoo01: Well, E hates being on her tummy, so being able to flip over to her back is a positive for her ;). So tempting to give them a nudge to 'help' them!
nectarine / 2031 posts
@StrawberryBee: thank you! love that picture of your lo in the leaves! so CUTE!
@Alivoo01: haha not creepy, we all go crazy for his rolls He is one chunky baby! almost 15lbs already!! (I am sorry your lo has been sick for so long hope he gets better real soon)
@Grace: I agree with the babies looking different everyday. G looks different everyday to me and DH. it trips us out.
@skipper2010: G is a chunker! we had to skip 3-6 months and jump to 6 months. I'm sad because, 1 he is getting too big to fast and 2 he wasn't able to wear some cute clothes because of his crazy growth spurts.
@StrawberryBee: @Alivoo01: G's grandma was helping him along for a little while it was cute watching her. but G is ready to crawl already it makes me sad. he inch worms when he is on the ground. I will put him on his mat facing one way and walk to the room to go get something and he is either off the mat or he turned to face the other way. I was excited to get it on camera so at least somebody can believe me! he gets so frustrated though if he doesn't move far enough. I put his toys just out of reach and he goes for them. I cant believe it!
nectarine / 2530 posts
@BabyMats: Thanks! Oh my god, crawling already?? I'm not ready for that!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@BabyMats: wait. what?!?!? Crawling?!?!? (O_O) *blink blink* That's just crazy!!! haha! DS spins when he's laying down, but yours is inching forward?! HOLY COW!!!! Exciting, but slow down babymats!!

@Alivoo01: yes!! slow down! he is crazy! like I said I wouldn't believe it either if I didn't catch it on camera!!

@StrawberryBee: I am not ready for it either. some times I just roll him over to his back and tell him to stay that way. haha

@BabyMats: Oh. My. Gosh!!!!!! Those rolllllllls!
Totally swooning over here. Thanks!!!!!!!
That's hilarious you flip him over and tell him to stay. I'd totally do that too! haha!

B had her 4 month (!!) immunizations today. Just 2 needles and the oral. She kept spitting out the oral medication which is just like her. She's so obsessed with spitting and blowing bubbles.. such a little lady I have They wen't pretty well, just cried for a few minutes then I nursed her and she slept for a couple hours. I gave her tylenol before we went, but the nurse said they don't recommend that anymore ( but said that used to be the normal thing to do.) I can't remember why she said that, but just incase anyone else was wondering. She said it was fine, but not the recommendation anymore. B came in at 13 pounds 1 ounce, which is her smallest weight gain in a month. She's usually closer to 2 pounds a month. She's still sitting in the 15-30percentile so at least she's consistent.
B has a flat spot on one side of her head, it's pretty noticeable so I asked the nurse about it. She said the head changes so much for the first year, but as she's favouring that one side to maybe make an appointment at the therapy center. She said it's common for babies to have muscle tightness on one side of the neck so they favour the other side resulting in the flat spot. She's pretty good at looking all around so I don't think it's that but I might try and get an appointment anyway. I don't really want to prop anything in her crib to keep her off that side so I think I'll see if they have better suggestions. Anyone else have problems with a flat spot?

@StrawberryBee: So crazy. I just fired up my fertility friend charts because I apparently now suck at remembering to take birth control, and was thinking about charting to avoid and our successful BD session was sometime this week!
@StrawberryBee: Oh my gosh, that photo in the leaves. When you said it, I was thinking he sat the baby on TOP of the leaves, not buried her in them! It does remind me of Hunger Games a little!
@BabyMats: Uh oh, we've got a roller!
@Alivoo01: I sometimes assign my LO more mental capacity for manipulation than she's probably actually capable of. He probably does just legitimately want to see you, and then is happy. I try to convince myself I'm not getting played on a daily basis, but sometimes I swear she smirks at me.
@BabyMats: I don't think she'll crawl anytime super soon, but today I put her down on her mat to play while I got dressed and she'd turned herself the opposite direction. I swear I understand that the feet are supposed to face the piano.
Other than that we're doing pretty well, but it's hard to keep up here. She got her 2 month immunizations a month late, but was good about them. I can't believe she's going to be 4 months next week. I'm just finishing up the last of my size one diapers, and then she'll be in size 2's since she's 13 lbs now. They don't even look like tiny baby diapers anymore! She's also still a tummy time drop out, so no real indication of rolling over tummy to back. She still just gets on her tummy and lays down and cries or goes to sleep, but the few times she's actually done it, she lifts her head all the way up 90 degrees so she must be getting those skills somewhere.

@BabyMats: Aw that's too bad you didn't get to use the 3-6 months clothing, but holy cuteness!!!
@MrsB2012: My cousins baby had a problem with a flat spot on the right side of his head. They just told her to try and keep him off that spot as much as possible so they would go and turn his head the other way when he fell into a deep sleep. It eventually fixed itself and he didn't require any therapy or anything like that.
@Sapphiresun: We're also finishing up our size one diapers. It's so wild how fast they grow! I'm looking forward to all the milestones that are on their way, but I know I'm going to miss my teeny baby.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@MrsB2012: We had our 4 month check up yesterday as well. And like yours, DS spat out some of the oral medication and the nurse had to really work on getting him to swallow it. When he did, he kind of choked on it. *face palm*. The shots went well. He didn't even cry or flinch for the first one, and cried briefly after they removed the syringe for the second one. I scooped him up immediately and he stopped crying.
As for the flat spot, DS doesn't have one, but does have a few bald spots from laying on that one side all the time. I tried propping him before, and he would not have it. He eventually started sleeping on the other side on his own and it's evening out some.
@Sapphiresun: haha! Aw. Thanks for making me feel better!
that picture cracks me up!! Funny how babies spin and do their own thing no matter what you do!

I'm so behind!!!
@StrawberryBee: love the picture, way too cute!
@BabyMats: can't believe he is rolling over in his crib let alone crawling already! Amazing! Very cute pictures!
@MrsB2012: I'm glad the doctor appointment went well. I don't think L has a flat spot, but she definitely has a big bald spot right at the back! L has been blowing bubbles like crazy too. A couple days ago she started mimicking us when we "blow raspberries". It is so awesome but now she won't stop. It's constant raspberries and bubble blowing around here. On our car rides all I hear are her little "razz" noises from the back seat.
@Sapphiresun: we switched over to size 2's as well. She was having poop explosions daily in the 1's. I even had about 60 size 1s left but had to switch to spare her clothing!
@Alivoo01: sounds like baby boy was a champ with his shots!
As for us, L turned 3 months last week. At her 3 month appointment she was 12,8 and 24 inches. She is also moving around a lot on her play mat. It's hilarious to walk away and come back and see her completely in a different position. She's not rolling yet, but looks close both ways, I think she'll do it soon! She's still a good sleeper and I'm starting to worry about the 4 month sleep regression and hoping it bypasses us! I can't wait for the holidays, I took her to my work holiday party yesterday and dolled her up! Her hair bands finally fit! I'm really just loving life with her right now and all the new things she does each day!

@delight: haha..not crawling yet! He is ready to crawl..he is inchworming all over and rolling over like crazy. He gets really frustrated when he can't move to a spot.
So adorable!!! Love the pic and the hair band and her little polka dot shirt!!!

@BabyMats: that's still awesome! You're gonna have to keep an eye on him
nectarine / 2530 posts
@MrsB2012: I think something to do with the body's response to the vaccines themselves, that it's actually good to have a slight temp (if your LO reacts that way)? Our 4 month is in a couple of weeks, good to have the heads up on how many shots to expect!
We definitely have a flat spot going on the back of her head. Now that she spends no time in the RnP and minimally in the swing (and can turn her head to sleep at night) I'm hoping it goes away. Keeping a close eye on it :/.
@delight: constant baby razz's, so cute! She looks so pretty in her headband and dotted outfit
As for me, I got AF today. Going to start tracking this again and see if my body is settling back into a rhythm. Last time this happened was 7 weeks ago (thank you, HB).
DH took E to Gymboree (the store) on Wednesday because they were doing special Turkey Day art work. E's first art! Then today Barnes and Noble was doing a all day event, so he posted a picture of her with the Duck Dynasty beard XD;;.
Also, I fell asleep on the floor of the nursery yesterday (DH was also in there). It's been a week.
pomelo / 5326 posts
@StrawberryBee: I can't believe AF is back. I keep expecting mine to return because L sleeps long stretches. I don't know if I want it back or not. I want to start TTC#2 next summer so hopefully it comes back before then!
Who else has their period back already?

@StrawberryBee: fun! I'm thinking some baby artwork gifts might get us out of spending $$$$ on family Christmas presents this year. Is that terrible?
@delight: so far no visit from Aunt Flo here.
nectarine / 2530 posts
@delight: I didn't know it was linked to LO sleeping a long time! I was hoping BF'ing would give me a longer break :(.
I felt so weird last week that I even took a pregnancy test (the thought of having another LO a year apart from E...eeek!). I think we're one and done.
@Sapphiresun: I'm planning on doing photos as gifts, so whatever works! I really want to make a calendar with month-appropriate photos along with my stepkids, but it's hard coordinating schedules. Now I'll just be happy if we get a nice holiday photo with everyone.
PS: We just got the Marpac Dohm in the mail today (lightning deal on Amazon, woot!), and so far I'm really liking it. Let's see what DH says when it's time to go to bed lol.
