@MrsRcCar: I'm so sorry you need to wait a week to get in. You would think since you are at a high risk clinic they would understand your strong desire to get in sooner. I totally understand how you feel. I'm having sort of the exact same issues with bleeding.

@agold: the spotting is super intermittent. I am hoping it just stops soon. This is so hard. My tummy is starting to pop already so I am trying to be hopeful. My boys still need tended to so I am resting as much as I can but that's a challenge with two toddlers.

@MrsRcCar: I can imagine that is so hard! I was specifically told not to lift anything, including babies and children. So hard with my cute niece and all my friends cute babies. I saw a friend over the new year and felt so bad that I wasn't picking up her baby. I hope she didn't think I was rude!

@agold: we have no family or help nearby so we are being very lazy and laying on the couch the next couple days. I am hoping I just a couple days rest.

@MrsRcCar: @agold: Well ladies, since my fabulous ultrasound last week I have joined the spotting club again I 110% feel the emotional turmoil you are both feeling. It is so rough. I have been spotting daily since Friday. No clots yet, and my DH also keeps telling me it will be fine. Unfortunately, he just left for a two week work trip and my emotions got the best of me not long after he left. I have had cramping all afternoon. I haven't called the doctor, because I know there isn't anything that can be done and we just had the ultrasound last week. What will be, will be. While I rationally know that, my emotions are everywhere. I feel different as well, my nausea is almost completely gone, and my pregnancy boobs have all but disappeared. My heart is sad, and I miss my hubby terribly. I am trying to keep it together until the kids are in bed. I have a feeling there will be some tears tonight.

How early can you hear a heartbeat on a home doppler? Maybe I should order one?

@MrsSCB: please keep us updated about the job!
I'm a SAHM so I'm always in leggings and baggy workout tops, so even though I'm not showing yet, I just look bloated, I'm sure no one would guess. Oh except for all this pesky acne. I look like a teenager. My darling daughter keeps asking "what's on your face". Lovely!

@MrsRcCar I hope the bleeding subsides soon!

@dcw6411: One day at a time. I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this and without DH too. Maybe it's worth a call to the dr even if they may tell you there's nothing they can do? At least get you in for betas?

@dcw6411: Big hugs and deep breaths. Fwiw, my pregnancy app said that as the placenta takes over, it is not uncommon for early symptoms (like nausea) to diminish/disappear.

@Pirouette: @pregnantbee: @pwnstar: Thank you ladies so much for the support. I am a wreck. I made a cup of tea and I plan to take a bath once the kids go to bed. My stomach has gotten progressively tighter as the day has gone on and I'm pretty uncomfortable, so maybe the bath will help some.

@pregnantbee: I asked my doctor about them at my last appointment and he said they don't go by betas at this stage 10+ weeks, as the numbers vary and often start falling with normal pregnancy as the placenta takes over. Bummer! I would love some reassurance.

@dcw6411: Hugs. A bath sounds amazing. I hope it helps you relax. I totally forgot you're around 10w. Makes sense that HCG isn't reliable anymore. Grrrr. Can you get another u/s?

@dcw6411: oh dear, I'm sorry. My husband leaves this week for a two week trip as well, so I can commiserate. Virtual hug for you.

@agold: I'm definitely considering doing that! Depends how one my boss takes to say she won't be coming back. If she waits too long I may not be able to hide it, haha! So far I look normal, though

@OldpuebloJenn: thanks, I will! And I feel you on the acne. I had a brief respite for a week or so, and then it was back with a vengeance!

@dcw6411: big hugs to you, I hope all is well

@dcw6411: Oh, no. I'm so sorry you are going through this. When I had my first true bleeding incident last week and didn't know how to reach my husband while he was at work, I truly had a meltdown. I think you should call the doctor in the morning. Also, I've heard about girls who go to the emergency room for stuff like bleeding and cramping. Couldn't you go in there and say you are having issues and think you are miscarrying? Being 10 weeks is no joke. Someone you reach out to should address whats going on. At the very least, you can know we are all here to offer you support!

@MrsRcCar: I'm sorry you don't have family around. But lazy days sound absolutely the best. I hope your kids are joining in on the lazy day plan.

@OldpuebloJenn: I'm sorry your husband is leaving too!

@MrsSCB: Keep us updated on your job!! I'm hoping this all works out so well for you!

I have my appointment today (3pm central time). I am soooo nervous. Luckily I just had an 11:30 lunch meeting come up, so that should make the day go more quickly.

Thank you all for your good thoughts and support. I will tag each of you when I am not on my phone. I made it through the night with no major changes. I am trying to stay positive. I called the doctor first thing this morning and they are getting me in at 1:15. My daughter has pre school this morning and then my in laws have offered to take the kids for the remainder of the day. I am so thankful for this time to gather my thoughts and deal with whatever the outcome of my appointment. Hoping to pull myself together to be a good momma to my sweet babies while hubby is gone.

I had my midwife appointment this morning, and it went really well. We got to hear the heartbeat (measuring in the 160's). I'll have an ultrasound in a couple of weeks! (I need to schedule it.)

@agold: doing ok. Just really wiped out. My youngest had speech today and we had to hit the grocery store. I am ready for bed already. The spotting has turned to brown for the most part. So I am gonna just keep taking it easy.

    grapefruit / 4045 posts

@CoffeeMom: That sounds like a great appointment and a great heartbeat!

@MrsRcCar: I'm glad you are doing okay. And I believe that the spotting turning to brown is a good thing - at least that's what I tell myself! Its old blood and not an active bleed, I think. Taking it easy is the best you can do!

    @CoffeeMom: Hooray for a heartbeat!

ETA: Day 2 of crazy camouflage work attire seems successful. Haha. I hope I can keep this up. Also, I just had the Counsyl test done today, so I should hear something next week or a little after. Eek!

@pregnantbee: I hope you are able to hide the pregnancy as long as you want to. I think that sounds like such an exciting/fun thing to be doing! And good luck with your blood test results.

@pregnantbee: That's so funny. It really is so rude of anyone to call out someone's pregnancy. I found out through a chain of gossip that someone at my husband's work was pregnant really early on. Its a girl he grew up with. He said he wanted to congratulate her the next day at work. I had to explain to him how wrong it is to congratulate a girl before she, herself, shares the news with him. It seems like such common sense to me. What's wrong with people?

Update: Good news is baby is hanging in there. Baby looked ok for now. Bad news, I have another bleed, this time it is bigger. I am also having serious contractions. Doctor has put me on bed rest for two weeks, progesterone 2x's per day and a baby Aspirin each day. At this point he basically said my uterus is pissed off and is trying to kick the baby out. He said I am definitely threatening miscarriage, and we just have to wait it out and hope things settle down. So...I am on bed rest, and my husband is gone for two weeks. Luckily my in laws said they will care for my kiddos this week and my mom will come next week and stay for a week. Thank goodness for family. My heart is heavy, but I am trying to trust in God's plan.

@CoffeeMom: Yay for a wonderful heartbeat!!

@MrsRcCar: I hope you get some rest. Happy to hear your spotting has turned brown. I think that is a good sign too!

@dcw6411: Oh wow. Well, its great news you were able to see the doctor and the baby is doing okay for now. I'm so sorry about the bleed and the bed rest. Does the doctor know what is the cause of the bleed? I'm hoping that bed rest does the trick. Try to relax and rely on they help you have from family as much as you can. Its great you have family available to help you. I'm keeping you in my prayers.

@pwnstar: Thank you for all the good wishes. You are right he or she is quite the fighter!

DH is renting a car to come home Saturday and Sunday, and will drive back to his training on Monday. Unfortunately, that is the best he can do. It is an important training for a federal task force that he is a part of. He has already talked to his commander though, and basically said if I start miscarrying he is out of there and is coming home. I know it is so hard for him not to be here right now.

ETA: oops just saw you already replied to this: As @pwnstar: asked, can DH cut the trip short?

Thinking of you. Please keep us posted when you can? xo

@agold: Thank you. No, he has no idea. He just said sometimes it happens. This is my second one this pregnancy. I never had any bleeding with my previous two pregnancies. It is so odd. I could tell he really wished he had more answers for me, but they just aren't there. boo.
