@LCTBQE: thanks!! I want my results already! Even though I'm totally positive it's a girl anyway
coconut / 8472 posts
@OldpuebloJenn: I'm sorry I probably took it a little too seriously. I'm running on not much sleep and I have a killer sinus headache. And a 2 year old .

@pwnstar: @LCTBQE: thank you, I called the on-call nurse and she said to wait it out but call back if it gets worse or goes on for over eight hours. I'm just trying to suck on ice chips in between getting sick so hopefully I get a tiny bit of hydration.

@ShootingStar:
FWIW I would get an ultrasound every other day if they'd let me
@Pirouette: yes, can't wait to confirm the femme!! I had an idea I was having a girl too, but only because I conceived 0-5 and had read about the Shettles Method, which I am now totally convinced is a 50/50 toss up crock of a theory. but I didn't have *any* of this maternal intuition that you people speak of
tell me again when you expect to get your results? next week?
@MrsSCB: throwing up liquid that you're trying to hydrate yourself with might be the worst thing on earth... hang in there, hope this thing runs its piece-of-shit-virus-y course and you feel better some time tonight
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@LCTBQE: haha oh my maternal instincts are total crock too! I was also 100% convinced my daughter was a boy. But I'm having such strong senses that this one is a girl that I can't wait to find out if I'm totally lacking in intuition yet again this pregnancy is so similar to my first, and the heart rate is super high. It's been a week since my blood draw, but it's 7-10 business days I think? And yesterday probably doesn't count because of the holiday. So could be as early as later this week, or could be next week.

@LCTBQE: yes, I'm jealous of all those feeling movement! Second time moms maybe? I'm just over 15w and I got nothing Though I'm pretty sure I finally have a bit of a bump from all the stretching I've been feeling for 2 days! Huzzah!
grapefruit / 4717 posts
@mrschickpea: Awww. I'm at 16w3d with my 2nd, and I still don't feel anything. I'm also envious of those who do already! Hang in there. I didn't feel movement during my first pregnancy until maybe 22-33w!
pomegranate / 3331 posts
@mrschickpea: I just found out I have an anterior placenta so I probably won't feel movement for a LONG time not to mention, i'm behind everyone else anyway!
pear / 1718 posts
@MrsSCB: How are you feeling? I hope much, much better!
@mrschickpea: Please don't be discouraged. I didn't feel anything with my first until 18.5/19 weeks. I am 14 weeks today(!), and haven't felt anything definitive yet. Sometimes there are flutters, almost always on my lower left side, but yanno, I'm pretty sure that's just gas!
pomelo / 5257 posts
@pwnstar: I ended up calling the nurse line after I still couldn't keep anything down after eight hours. They had me go in to get some IV fluids and medicine. I ate some applesauce when I got home a few hours ago and so far so good. I'm staying home from work today to rest and try to rehydrate. Whew. Thanks for checking!

@MrsSCB: Glad to know you're on your way to feeling better. Rest up and take it easy (seriously! no laundry or any other household nonsense, yo!).

@MrsSCB: I'm glad you're feeling better -- sorry you're going through this. Sick while pregnant is the worst, especially if it makes you land in the hospital.

@pregnantbee: thank you for the invite!
Hi there! Pregnantbee invited me over from the July 2016 board because it's dead over there. lol
I'll introduce myself and I'll try to get caught up with everyone. I can't garentee I'll read all 60 pages but I will try to keep up.
I'm aandmklover. I have been on Hellobee since 2011. I came here after Weddingbee was sold? Or had new people running it. Hellobee came at a prefect time for me. My husband and I had been married for a year and had not had any luck getting pregnant. After some blood work we got pregnant in Jan 2012 and had our first son at 37 weeks (on my birthday) when my water broke on October 3, 2012. When DS1 was a year old we decided we were ready to try again and got pregnant that month. I had a scare and short hospital stay at 32 week because I was having pre-term contractions every 2-4 minutes (contractions without dilation) they were able to slow them down but I was on a blood pressure medicine for 3 weeks. DS2
was born at 38 weeks on July 31 2014.
I'm now pregnant with our third boy due July 31, 2016 (yes, DS2s birthday) I've had a normal non complicated pregnancy so far. I'm 16w3d. I have not felt any movement... Yet. Headaches have been the only major pain otherwise I'm just excited to see what's next.
Thank you so much for reading and including me. If love to answer any questions if anyone has any. I can't wait to get to know everyone!

@MrsSCB: so sorry you have to deal with that! Hope you continue to be on the mend and get back to feeling good soon

@Aandmklover: Yay! I'm glad you jumped over Wow, congrats on your THIRD boy! I love being a boy mom. Sorry for such a scare with your 2nd, and I'm glad he's ok! Crazy how you had your first on your bday and now EDD is the same as DS2's! My sister had her daughter on her own bday, and now I'm due on my mom's bday. Amazing how that works out.
Ladies, let's all introduce ourselves again to bring @Aandmklover: up to speed, ok? Could be a good refresher for us, too!

How are you feeling? Generally good! I wish salad appealed to me again because eating burgers, pizza, and cheese steak isn't helping me stay healthy! I do have a short temper, and I think the baby is borrowing my brain because I can't remember anything!
Who have you told? Everyone at this point. Not sure if I'll ever post on social media, though.
Just for fun: Any trips planned? Yup. A family gathering vacation at the end of March. Should be fun and hopefully still comfortable enough to travel!

@pwnstar: @pregnantbee: @MrsKerch: Thanks, ladies. On the plus side, it made me glad I switched doctors/hospitals. They were expecting me when I got to the hospital, I didn't have to wait at all to get into a room, and the two nurses who helped me out were lovely. Silver lining!

Who have you told? Just family. We waited to tell anyone until we got the results of our blood test (13w) so we could tell every we were expecting and what the sex was. I think it was a little defense mechanism just in case it's wasn't a girl.
Just for fun: Any trips planned? DH and I are going to take a weekend away in March or April we've never been away from both kids so it will be a first.
@T.H.O.U.: I think we were in the same due date month with our second kids.

@Aandmklover: Welcome over here!! I think there are a couple of girls in here already who might deliver in July, so you are in good company! And I love hearing about what's going on with you girls who are a little bit farther along than me so I know what I have to look forward to!
Location: California
EDD: August 20th

First child? Yes, finally! Mine is an IVF baby after 2+ years TTC.
Next u/s? Don't know. I have an appt on Feb 25th, but i don't know what's going to happen at it!
How are you feeling? Some exhaustion for the last few weeks has me sleeping about 11 hours a day. And continuous spotting sucks, but otherwise I'm great!
Who have you told? Pretty much everyone we come into contact with at this point. No social media announcements, though.
Just for fun: Any trips planned? Yep! Something like Hawaii in May if we can manage it. If I'm bleeding still or have travel limitations or major Zika anxiety, we will most likely go somewhere like Santa Barbara.

@MrsKerch: I prepared two actual meals this week for the first time since just before Christmas. ETA: It exhausted me. Hahaha.

@Aandmklover: Welcome and congratulations on your baby boy!
Location: South
EDD: August 18
How far along: 14w
First child? No, second. DD is almost 3.5!
Next u/s? I had a CVS on Feb 3 (it's a ), and the AS is scheduled for March 30.
How are you feeling? Much better. Most of the first tri was pukey and exhausting. I am feeling good enough now to workout in the mornings, and last night, after grocery shopping and doing dinner/bath/bed solo (DH is travelling), I baked 3 new recipes (including a flour-less, oil-less fudge muffin) and made myself dinner (cut a tomato up and everything). I was pretty tired, so I think I over did it just a wee bit, but I was just so happy to not be on the couch!
Just for fun: Any trips planned? We're trying to schedule a couples trip, and a week at the beach with LO.
ETA: Who have you told? Family, close friends, my office, and daycare. A lot!
cantaloupe / 6017 posts
@pwnstar: I was super productive on Monday and then DEAD yesterday. I spent all afternoon on the couch. Its crazy how easy it can be to overdo it, even if you are usually a pretty active person!
@Aandmklover: Welcome, and congratulations!!
Location: Northeast US
EDD: August 11
How far along: 15 weeks tomorrow
First child? No, my daughter will be 3 in April
Next u/s? my anatomy scan is scheduled for March 22
How are you feeling? Pretty tired, but no more nausea. Still having trouble with mild food aversions/not wanting to eat anything. Feeling movement if I slow down and concentrate on it, which is exciting!
Who have you told? family, close friends, the people I rent office space from, and almost all of my clients. We have some more friends to tell "personally," and will make an "announcement" after the anatomy scan.
Just for fun: Any trips planned? Not really. Not big travelers. My husband is also finishing residency at the end of June, so no fun until then, really. We will take a day trip at some point this spring to Montreal to bring my daughter to the biodome. In early July we go on a family vacation to Maine.

@agold: my moms family shares a spot on the coast, so we go there with my mom and dad. They play with my daughter 90% of the time, and let us go out for dinners and movies. Who knew vacationing with your parents would be the best thing ever?
grapefruit / 4045 posts
@Silva: That truly sounds amazing. How nice to be about to do that every year! And I'm laughing about how nice it must be to vacation with your parents. I think that is how it will be when my baby comes and we go to visit my husband's family.
coconut / 8472 posts
@Silva: Haha, lately we take all of our vacations with my parents. It's cheaper and they love to watch my son. Win-win! We live just about 1.5 hours from southern Maine, so pretty there :). If you end up near Rockport, the best lobster roll in the world is at Red's Eats.
I had my NT scan today, everything looked great. It was so cool to see baby girl moving around on the screen. The MFM doctor wants me to start taking baby aspirin to ward off high blood pressure/pre-e, which I struggled with last pregnancy.
@mrschickpea: Yes, I'm one of the ones who mentioned movement and I'm a 2nd time mom. It took me until almost 20 weeks the first time to figure out what I was feeling was movement! I didn't even have an anterior placenta. But now that I know what it feels like I think I'm more sensitive to it, and I can more easily discern the difference between stomach bubbles and baby movement.

Question - is anyone experiencing, or has anyone experienced in the past, massive hair loss during pregnancy?
I've heard about hair loss after the baby is born, but I'm losing a lot now. Maybe I'm not brushing it as much. But it seems like a lot more than a brushing issue. I hope I'm not having some kind of issue. I'll for sure ask my doctor when I go next week.
wonderful clementine / 24134 posts
@agold: Hmm, that does seem odd. Do you mean like you notice shedding more or you are getting like clumps out? I wonder if an increase in minor shedding is maybe due to new hair follicles starting or something? But yea, you want to make sure you have enough vitamins. Your body will cover for the baby but it means you may not have enough. So it may be worth checking into.
