Most worried/nervous about: another loss, and how the hell to deal with all of my parents/inlaws wanting to descend on the house because that sucked hard last time.

EDD: We'll they moved it to January 4 but if it's like my last pregnancy we will be inducing at the end of Decemebr.
    How far along? 9 weeks + 4
    Child number? 2
Will you find out or team green? Yes we will find out. My OB doesn't do the anatomy ultrasound until 20 weeks so I might go to an elective place at 16 weeks because I can't wait!
    Feeling any movement yet?
Symptoms? Tired and random nausea throughout the day.
Most excited about: finding out the gender to see if we'll have 2 boys close in age or if I'll get a little girl.
Most worried/nervous about: Having 2 kids 15 months apart.
Purchase anything for the baby yet? Nope, I'll wait to find out the gender then I'll buy a few things. Since DS is only 8 months right now we already have most of the necessities.

    EDD: Dec 15
    How far along? 12 wks
    Child number? 2

Feeling any movement yet? I don't think so, I think it's my uterus expanding and gas.
Symptoms? The nausea is starting to go away but I've been so exhausted. Partly due to having an almost 2 yr old and working full-time.
Most excited about:Meeting him and DS being a big brother.
Most worried/nervous about: that everything is ok - I had an u/s at 10ish weeks and won't have another one until 20 wks. B/c I had the blood test they didn't do a 12wk u/s (heartbeat was heard, though, going strong).
Purchase anything for the baby yet? Nope.

@MK0180: Congrats on another boy! Just out of curiosity, how long did it take for you to get your MT21 results back? I've been waiting 9 days for mine and I'm getting really anxious about it (although technically, it's only been 5 business days, I think).

  7. marley

    kiwi / 706 posts

@catlady: my anxious husband called up Sequenom and they told him they work weekends. They told him that we should expect results in 6-7 regular days, not business days. I'm skeptical though, since I hear about people waiting up to 2 whole weeks. Maybe the delay is with the doctors' offices? like they sit on the results? I don't know.

    grapefruit / 4988 posts

@marley: My OB office said "up to 2 weeks" but since my blood draw was the Friday before a long weekend, they basically told me I would probably have to wait the full 2 weeks. I was really just hoping to hear by my next appt on Thursday (which would be 13 days). Interesting that Sequenom gave a shorter number. Maybe I will give my OB office a call.

@catlady: Thanks! I had blood drawn on a Monday, got results the following week, Tuesday. The office told me that it can take up to 2 weeks. I hope you get your results soon!

@MK0180: Woohoo - another boy! How exciting!! I'm so jealous of all of you getting early results from M21 test!! I have to wait almost 2 more months :'(

@swurlygurl: I know someone who is not AMA got the test done. It wasn't covered by insurance but she only paid $250 for it because it wasn't covered.

@marley: Yeah, I'm way too cheap to pay for it. I'll just stew in my jealousy... haha. Plus, I'm getting the gender scan just a couple hours before my parents fly in, so it will be fun to surprise them when they land!

Having a really sh1tty day and just want to cry.
Mom went to the hospital last night suspecting a heart attack and didn't tell me until today because she "didn't want to worry me". The doctors don't think it was a heart attack but she had extremely high blood pressure so they monitored and adjusted her meds.
Dad left a trip to visit me early last week as he wasn't feeling good and didn't want to use US health care. He's Canadian. After no response from his doctor he went to the hospital today. They admitted him for low hemoglobin and he is getting a blood transfusion. They do not know the cause yet and hopefully will be doing some testing.
I got some bad lab results about my thyroid, vit D levels and Blood count. I know I probably just need to adjust synthroid levels upwards like I did last pregnancy but I'm still freaking out. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow am. Depending on my dads situation, DS and I may fly out to Canada.
I am just feeling overwhelmed and wish I had a friend

    Most excited about: Everything!

Purchase anything for the baby yet? I have a few outfits but that was before I knew I was having twins so I'll want to get matching stuff now haha.

I had my appointment this morning. She increased my synthroid to 200mg as expected.
My dad was released from the hospital for the day, they are asking him to go back tomorrow for a possible bone marrow biopsy.

I'm really not at all focused on work today which is unfortunate because I have a really busy day!

Will you find out or team green? I Have to know. LOL

Feeling any movement yet? Not yet.

Symptoms? So tired. So much more than last time. Its feeling a little better and slowly getting my energy back. My breast are tender, and ummm....bigger. Not cool!

Most excited about: I cant wait to find out the gender. I am a planner and this LO and the last need to share a room. Waiting to find out so I can start planning the shared bedroom.

Most worried/nervous about: Handling another LO with being on my own as much as I am .

Purchase anything for the baby yet? I think I want to babywear a lot more this time. Feel I am going to need it. Bought a different carrier to try with this one. Bought a Tula.

I got my MaterniT21 results yesterday and was relieved to hear that the screening tests were negative and...it's a boy! I'm a tiny bit sad that DD won't get a sister (and that we've stored 3 years worth of girl clothes) but also really looking to having a son.

I have an OB appt tomorrow and if everything goes well, we'll finally be announcing soon after. So excited!

Hope you are all doing well.

@catlady: Haha, I missed the part about you storing 3 years of girl clothes - I hear ya! It's crazy how much space all those clothes take up... They are so tiny, but they need like 7 whole new wardrobes in 3 years time...
My SIL and I are anxiously waiting to see if I'm having another girl or not (would be 5th girl in a row between the 2 of us!!), so we know if we can finally get rid of the 20 or so tubs of clothes we have!

  30. catlady

    grapefruit / 4988 posts

@swurlygurl: Thank you! Oh wow, 20 tubs! Lol. I think we have at least 5. And of course my girl is obsessed with pink, so we have almost nothing that is gender neutral. Oh well, guess that means I get to go shopping.

  31. Rescuemom10

    pear / 1965 posts

@catlady: Yay congrats! I cant wait to find out for the same reason. DD is 3 and I have kept everything. I have said "Watch it will be a boy and I have kept everything and then wont need it"
mine too is so obsessed with pink and all things girly.
    We shall see.
    Congrats again!!!

@catlady: Congrats! Boys sure do love their mamas I hear you on the clothes, I was a tad nervous about having a girl for the same reasons. However, my boys' birthdays are literally the opposite seasons (DS was born in July) so I have to go through and see what NB and 0-3 mos that was for a summer baby can be used for a winter one!

    @catlady: Congrats!!!! Boys are great!
I stored all of my DS's clothes.....and my friend also gave me all of her girl clothes. My attic is full of kids clothes!

    How is everyone feeling?
I feel I am starting to get more energy back! THANK GOODNESS!
I didn't feel this tired with my first. But then again I wasn't chasing a toddler around then. LOL

I am so ready for the weekend. I think LO is getting sick. Just my luck. DH has been gone 1 week. So 1 week down. Woohooo. One more week and LO and I will have a good routine down. The first 2 weeks after he leaves is always pretty cruddy adjusting.
She is expressing her sadness though more this deployment. Which is hard but also good she can communicate her feelings. Made me cry the other night.
She got the binoculars and was looking out the window. Because they help see things far away. She was looking for Daddy!
Then that night when I was tucking her in she said "Momma I just so sad. Daddy not here no more. He far away. He no come for me no more"

Ok, ok, ok. On to happier things. Its ALMOST the weekend!

@catlady: yay for negative screening tests! I totally understand your feelings. I'm going through the exact same thing. Obviously I would be thrilled with a boy, but I want DD to have the close sisterhood that I hear so much about. Also, I kept all the girl's clothes, and they would be sharing a room. I'm waiting for my results and it's been driving me crazy!
