@marley: I did! She was horrified. Pay attention, lady! 2.5 hours late?! I think that is more dangerous than being in small car accident!

@ocean81: I was in front end collision at 20 weeks with my first pregnancy. it was both reassuring and a pain in the ass to be "monitered" at the hospital. they had me in triage hooked to heart rate and contraction moniters for 4 hours before i was allowed to go home. I would just follow up with dr office

@Chillybear: Wow, that is so scary! I am glad you and your LO are okay! The on call nurse said if I was later she would have me come in to be monitored, but I am barely 6 weeks. I just sent my OB's office an email asking for reassurance and if I should come in for an ultrasound. I really just want to come in for an ultrasound because I don't want to wait until the 31st

@ocean81: Hopefully they let you in for a US just to have the reassurance. Def keep us updated.
I am at work now and don't want to call to make my appointment and be overheard. So going to call as soon as I get off work and set up my first appointment with the actual doctor. Did the pre-appointment thing yesterday with a nurse.
It went well. Pretty basic stuff. Just updating medical history, verifying nothing has changed and then she had lots of questions regarding the complications of my first delivery.
I am so anxious to get in and be seen. But they don't typically schedule the first one until 10 weeks. But I want to get in SOON because I am going to request a referral to the nearest hospital that does VBAC which is 40 mins away. Boo! I just want to start that soon because I really just want to know if I am a candidate and can have a shot at VBAC. Really, REALLY hope I am.

I know this must be all in my head, but I feel like I feel something moving in my stomach.

@Pumpkin Pie: lol me too! I swear I've felt kicks but I know that's not even possible right now.

I feel "all bets are off" this pregnancy. I feel so different this time around. Nothing at all like my first pregnancy.
Man I am soooooo tired this time. My breast HURT alllll the time. Bloating? Holy macaroni! I mean obviously its not a baby bump. But good grief I am so bloated I feel I look pregnant, but truly just feel disgusting. Ugh

@Rescuemom10: I could've written this! It's been quite awful. I'm thankful obviously! But I took my first pregnancy totally for granted.

@marley: AGREE! Same here! I had zero symptoms first trimester last time.
I can tell already I am going to be in maternity clothes MUCH sooner this time. I think around 19 weeks last time I was. Man its going to be like 12 weeks this time. If not sooner!

@Rescuemom10: I didn't even really buy maternity clothes last time. Just a pair of maternity jeans and a lot of maxi dresses. I'm tempted to use my Bella Band like right now!

@MrsDragon: Great!!!
Had my first appointment yesterday and got to see the baby--everything was measuring on track and the heart rate was good. Baby looks like a turtle with a giant head.
I got some Diclegis to try and it made me feel terrible. Has anyone tried any other meds for nausea??
@Pumpkin Pie: I feel the same!

@MrsDragon: Yay!
@DigAPony: Diclegis (or just B6/unisom combo) is the only known safe drug for nausea. They are saying now that Zofran might cause birth defects. How long have you been on it? I think it takes a little while for it to really work. I started taking it last week and was beyond exhausted for the first few days and my nausea wasn't even gone, but now after almost a full week, I'm feeling good again.

I'm feeling different with this pregnancy than with LO1, and that makes me nervous for some reason. I haven't had my ultrasound yet, so I keep wondering if LO2 is ok in there.

I want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes. I appreciate it. Im sorry I have not responded to anyone, I have sort of been trying to hide out from this.
You can oficially remove me from this group. I had my ob apt today and she confirmed the MC. She told me to go home, have some wine, and start trying again in 10 days. Hopefully I will just be a month or two behind you all. I wish everyone a happy healthy pregnancy! I may stop in to every once in awhile to stalk and see how everyone is doing ️️️

I had my first u/s this morning and we are having twins!! Today is apparently 6w2d. Baby A was measuring 6w1d (HB 116), Baby B measured 5w6d (HB 85 - a little slow, but still there!). And they have my due date now as December 28th. I'll go back for another scan on the 16th.

@marley: Thanks!! We are really excited to be pregnant in the first place since going through IVF transfers for almost two years now, so having twins is just crazy!!

@GreenThumb: WOW! Congrats! I have a twin brother, and it is just the best!
pomelo / 5789 posts
@GreenThumb: Wow Twins!!! 6w is still super early to hear heartbeats, so hopefully the slow heartbeat speed up in the next few weeks.
Looking forward to hearing about your scan on the 16th!!!

On another note, I haven't told work yet. They have asked that I go to india for business.
I am unable to get any of the recommended vaccines due to the pregnancy. I also cannot take the anti-malarials.
My doctor is ok with all of this if I am. The flights are 24 hours.
Am I totally crazy!? Wait don't answer, I already know!

@wheres_c: Oh my goodness, I would totally find a reason to skip if you can. When during your pregnancy would you be traveling? That sounds tough even if you weren't pregnant!
apricot / 431 posts
@wheres_c: yikes! I would skip it based on the fact that you weren't able to get the recommended vaccines.
ETA... Zika. I don't know if it's there yet but they definitely have the type of mosquito that carries it. I'd pass on this one

@wheres_c: I have in-laws who travel to India regularly. They get sick every time they go. I would tell a selected group of people at work and let them know your very legitimate concerns.
