@photojane: Love the books!!! Can't wait to see the finished product.

@ladyfingers: Ugh, I'm sorry! We're here for you when you need to vent, though. It doesn't sound like they were so nice about breaking the news though; I've also heard it isn't always related to weight gain anyway, so that's just rude! Why do people think it's ok to comment differently on pregnant women's weight/bodies than anyone else?!
On the next page now, and my phone, so more than one tag is not going to happen, but @photojane:, I love the bookshelves too! Where did you get them? I want to do something similar too, but I'm holding off. I think ordering a crib is still a higher priority

@JessiBee: No, he was saying that I've already gained 30 pounds at 29 weeks, so having to follow the GD diet may not be a bad thing because it will help me manage my weight gain for the rest of the pregnancy and hopefully not gain too much over that. Though when he started going back over the past few weeks and saying, you gained this much here, this much here, this much here, that's when it became a bit much for me.

@ValentineMommy: Thanks! I usually do ask to lie down - the last time I figured I would be ok and I passed out, in a dress with the door open to the waiting room. Needless to say I was a hot mess!!
@ladyfingers: I am so so sorry to hear about your diagnosis with GD. I can't put myself in your shoes but am definitely thinking about you, hoping everything goes smoothly and the adjustment to the diet isn't too hard! We're here whenever you need to chat. Hugs! BTW, french silk pie sounds amazing! I have never had a piece, nor have I heard of it. Is it a staple for American Thanksgiving?
@photojane: The book shelves look great! You've got some wonderful books for Sadie!

@photojane: looking good!
So ladies, sometimes life just deals you so much stuff you have to laugh. This isn't nearly as big of a deal as some of the other stuff this week (and honestly, none of it is a HUGE deal, just exacerbated by pregnancy hormones), but I got my shower invitation in the mail... and they have the wrong date on there. It says Sunday, December 18th... but December 18th is a Tuesday! It should be December 16th. I texted my friend who's in charge and she said they'll make sure everybody knows to show up on the right Sunday lol. When I opened it though and saw that, I was like, "Of course!"
pomelo / 5331 posts
@lolabee: I don't know that it's really a staple, but it is in our house! It is so amazing, it's better than chocolate cream, I don't know why, but it's the most delicious thing on the planet. It's always been my favorite pie and my family always has one around Thanksgiving. I'll just have to have a piece AFTER I check my glucose level...
I was toying with starting my sugar checks on Friday, but honestly, I'm kind of curious about what will make me spike (within reason, I'm not going to go totally crazy) so I think I'll call Thursday a dry run. Surely they can't fault me for high levels on Thanksgiving/my very first day testing...

I'm a lurker on this board, but wanted to chime in after reading what @ladyfingers has written over the past few days. So sorry about your GD! I did my test last week and was anxious for days about the results (negative for me).
But what really stuck out to me was your feelings about your weight. I'm also up 30 pounds in 30 weeks and it gets so frustrating to hear people say "You're growing a BABY! It's a miracle! It's what your body needs!" That doesn't help me. I already know I'm growing a baby, and there are plenty of women who grow babies and don't gain 60+ pounds so obviously it is not a pre-requisite to the task.
I took 2 years to lose a bunch of weight, got married, got pregnant, gained 70+ pounds, took two years to lose it, got pregnant, and now it looks like I'm going to gain much more than I wanted to yet again. Which means I can look forward to another two years of fighting and hard work to reach my goal weight (which I honestly haven't seen since... high school?) I guess 2015 will be my year. Or something. I so badly wanted to go through this pregnancy feeling sexy and confident and proud of my body. Instead I just feel jiggly and fat and uncomfortable and frustrated.
Along with being a Negative Nancy, maybe I can provide some hope as well? It's frustrating to gain so much, and it's frustrating to lose it, and it can happen. And knowing you have GD is so much better for you and baby than having it and NOT knowing. You can do this!

Ugh so I spent that last 20 min trying to reply to everyone since we're on a new page and I was almost done and hit copy again by accident and lost everything. I apologize but I'm going to do shortened version now.
Congrats to all the ladies who have passed their GD tests so far and good luck to those who haven't had theirs yet!
@ladyfingers: sorry to hear about your GD diagnosis! I was so rooting for you after the 3 hour. Although from some of the answers from bees on your other thread it doesn't seem to be the worst thing ever. And don't stress too much over your
weight gain...I was up 23 lbs last appt and was originally told not to go over 15 for the whole pregnancy! I am trying to eat better and drink more water to lessen the damage but I know it's all for baby.
@photojane: love the books! Can't wait to see the whole thing!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is feeling good and getting big! Baby Boy is moving a ton and it's much stronger than before. I love it.
We finally made some progress with the nursery this week. Paint is on the walls and I'm going to be starting the trim soon. We also ordered new rugs! We're doing baby's room, upstairs hall, stairs and living and dining rooms. I'm super excited.
I wanted to update you guys on my whole sneaky shower peeking...I often tell DH about stuff on here since I'm on it on my phone alot. Well don't ya know he decided to check out Hellobee and read this thread!!!!!!! BUSTED! Haha oh well. Shower is tomorrow so I have to put my best surprised face on.
I can't wait to see what my family did for me and all the fun baby stuff.

@ladyfingers: I am so sorry to hear about the mistake on your invitations, that is really disappointing especially after the previous stress it's caused! I hope you got to enjoy a piece of the French Silk pie, I googled it - it looks delicious!
@thatwife: I am sorry to hear about your struggles with weight, I hope it is much easier for you after this pregnancy! I have a girlfriend who has two little girls. She struggled after her first pregnancy, with her second she gained close to 80 and it seemed to come off a lot quicker/easier - I hope the same thing happens for you!
Third tri tomorrow for me, crazy! We had our fourth HypnoBirthing class on Thursday, I'm putting a lot of faith into - so I hope it does help in the end. I think the key is practicing lot!
Our instructor usually shows two births per class, we've seen a few water births - I would love to have one but our hospital doesn't allow birthing tubs to be brought in, nor do they have any
Is anyone planning on having a water birth? I think it would be so much more comforting for me (LOVE water!) so I'm feeling a little bummed we don't even have the option.
I hope all of our American ladies had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with lots of laughs n good food with your family and friends!

@thatwife: Thanks for this When I tell my other pregnant friends that the doctor gave me a hard time for gaining 30 in 30, they're like, "THAT'S ALL YOU'VE GAINED?! You're doing AWESOME!!" because they all gained like 80 pounds lol. Anyway, it's not even so much having the GD or having to stick to a meal plan (which is REALLY not that bad, I still am allowed tons of carbs) or having to test my blood. It's all the worry that comes along with it, and instead of being so excited to meet our little man in less than 10 weeks, I'm so focused on, why is that fasting number high? What if I need insulin? What if they want to induce? What if they want to deliver early and the baby has respiratory issues, or jaundice? What if they want to do a c-section and I don't get to see my baby for an hour+ afterwards? What if the baby has health problems and it's all my fault? All these scenarios that 1. haven't even happened yet and 2. mostly wouldn't be a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I basically can't relax now and I'm really trying to, and it's driving me nuts! Anyway... I'm a bit of a drama queen

@ladyfingers - so sorry to hear about your GD test results... a friend of mine had GD as well during her pregnancy, and she just said that she just watched the types of foods that she was eating a bit more and everything turned out fine. She just had her second baby recently and she didn't get GD the second time around. ahh, and the shower date misprint would have totally driven me nuts!! seems like you handled it really well though - I'm sure people will ask since the 18th is not actually a Tuesday... it would have been way worse if the date was wrong but the day actually lined up with the date
Today it's 29 weeks and 2 days... and the last few days my baby girl has been kicking extra hard, and I feel a little hard spot (that I think is her foot!) on my right side every now and then! I sometimes rub it and I think that maybe she feels it and moves her foot away? haha.
On another note though, I'm actually a bit worried that my belly is measuring a bit small. I haven't had an ultrasound since 18 weeks and I don't think my docs plan on doing another until the very end to see if the baby is head down or not. I did a fundal height measurement of my belly yesterday and they say that you should be within 2 cm of the number of weeks that you are. I'm 29 weeks, but my fundal height measurement is only 23 cm. I have a doctor's appt this Thursday so I'll bring it up. I've been trying to eat as much as possible (eating pretty healthy with LOTS of fruit), but I'm petite to begin with so I think that may have something to do with it.

I just had my GD test (and 28 week appt) this morning, and was amazed to get results posted within a couple of hours! They have an online portal for results, and I get an email automatically when something is posted. I'm squarely in the normal range, so a relief there. My belly is measuring right at 28 weeks, so that's good too. And I'm up about 21 pounds from the beginning, which means I probably won't stay within 25-30, but I'll be close...I hope.
My doctor gave me the info on counting movements today. If I have days when I don't feel much movement, I have two hours to sit/lay quietly until I get to ten movements. I've never counted, so I'm kind of intimidated by it, especially since so far, I haven't had a squirmer! I have no doubt I'll try it soon, and be back to report results!
In other exciting (to me) news, we (finally) ordered our crib this weekend! And my husband finally did the math and realized it's less than 12 weeks to my due date. We're getting close, ladies!!!!
pomelo / 5331 posts
@Emilie: That's so cute! I love how much he's moving now, I think he must have gone through a growth spurt, though I know he'll start slowing down soon as he runs out of room. I can totally feel parts, I don't know what parts they are, but some areas of my belly are more firm than others. And the doctor found the head down in my pelvis and had me feel, that was unreal feeling his noggin!
Have your doctors started measuring your fundal height, or are you just getting a head start at home? They should start soon, they started doing mine at 27 weeks (which should have been a 28-week appointment, I'm kinda behind a week on my biweekly appointments lol because of all the ultrasound appointments I had in the second semester). From what I understand though, it's not the most accurate way to detect anything. I'm sure if they are concerned they will do some tests!
@JessiBee: My doctor isn't having me count movements, just said I should have 10 in a day lol. But he said if I feel him moving less than normal to let them know. I guess they are just more relaxed about it but it sort of annoyed me because all I read is that your doctor should have you start kick counts and I was sort of looking forward to it... so I just do them myself
Exciting about the crib! I can't believe it's getting so close for us -- we have less than 10 weeks to go now!!!
pomegranate / 3872 posts
@ladyfingers: Hey - so does that mean he's head down now? Did you feel him turn? As of my last appt. 2 weeks ago, my girl is still hasn't turned and I haven't felt anything like a full body turn. She seems to really like her position!
cherry / 144 posts
@ladyfingers - My docs started measuring my fundal height around 22 weeks (I was 20 cm then), but I haven't had an official measurement since then, so I figured I would try it myself at home just to see if I was on track. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it would be the most accurate way to measure the baby, but I guess it's all they can do without ultrasounds!
Oh, I forgot to mention that my sister got me a surprise baby cake over Thanksgiving - it was so cute!!
kiwi / 733 posts
@ladyfingers: Isn't it funny that we assume everything medical is so precise, but we all get different instructions for counting movements, what to eat (or not eat) before the glucose test, etc.?!
@JerricaBenton: I wish I knew what position mine was in! I don't have a clue, and I guess I should have asked today when I was there....but now I'll be back in 2-3 weeks, so I'll just put it on my question list for next time! I assumed she would keep moving positions until much closer to the end, when she's low on space...and preparing to come meet us!
@Emilie: My doc started measuring fundal height also at 20 weeks. I asked today about how she knows where the top of the uterus is, and she guided my hand to feel it, so now I can figure out about where it is. I'll leave the measuring to her. Besides, now I'll be busy counting movements!
Have any of you started stocking up on books about raising an actual baby?! I've been reading the pregnancy stuff relatively week-by-week as I go, but I know I should start reading baby things before I'm too tired to process. I ordered Baby411 (by the same people as Baby Bargains), so that should be here later this week. I may pick up Happiest Baby on the Block from the library, but it sounds from various threads like it's not worth buying, just reading through (or watching) once. What are you reading...or considering reading?
pomegranate / 3872 posts
@JessiBee: I only know because she has been breech from the very beginning, and it has been difficult to get all of the views of her parts in the scans. We even had to go to a heart specialist because the u/s tech wouldn't sign off on the views of the heart. She still hadn't moved and the specialist even remarked that she was still in that position (breech, feet down, slightly transverse I think.) She squirms all over the place but I haven't felt anything I would attribute to a whole flip. She's stubborn like her mama! My regular doctor says there is still time to flip up until delivery day but I'm just afraid she won't!
pomelo / 5331 posts
@JerricaBenton: yep! I got nervous the other day that he'd turned again because I thought I was feeling kicks down low, but I can feel his hiccups in my pelvis and when I sit straight up his head feels like a knot down low. I don't think I felt him move, one night I did feel a weird sliding sensation but I have no idea!
@JessiBee: very true!

@JessiBee: DH read Baby 411 from cover to cover and I think he knows everything about babies now! I guess I should follow suit but I'm still mainly looking at pregnancy literature. I feel like I glean a lot from HB and the rest of the interwebs so maybe I can just scan the book, right?

Not sure if there is anyone left who still has to take their glucose test but I thought I'd throw my experience out there. I had mine today and it wasn't bad. They didn't give me a choice of flavors and it wasn't refrigerated but I got fruit punch. I actually thought it tasted ok - just like a super sweet Hi-C. My lab lets you sit in a special room for timed tests so I got a comfy chair and the TV all to myself. They told me I couldn't move - which I thought was extreme but I did have to get up twice to go to the bathroom and the tech allowed it, haha. I felt fine, not nauseous or anything. They took my blood and before I even left I tested myself on my own kit and it read 92. Here's hoping the blood draw agrees with my fingerprick!
grapefruit / 4669 posts
@JerricaBenton: I took mine today, too! I thought the orange stuff tasted like flat Hi-C, and it kind of burned my throat. I drank mine on the way to the appointment and they drew my blood when I got there, so no cushy chair or anything (just morning traffic!). I reeeeally hope I pass but I ate pretty crappy today just in case it's my last time for a treat. Hopefully I'll get results back tomorrow!

@JessiBee: My top book rec. for IRL friends is Heading Home with your Newborn- it has a little bit about everything and is up to date and easy to read. That and the Happiest Baby on the Block for sure! (FWIW I also read What to Expect the First Year and Baby411 and didn't like those as much.)

@JessiBee: We checked out the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD from the library and I thought it was helpful. Dr Karp is the Baby Whisperer. I also plan on reading Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child
I had my monthly growth ultrasound yesterday. Babies are looking good. They are 3 lbs 6 oz and 3 lb 7 oz. I can't believe there is 7 pounds of baby in me right now! That is crazy. They are both breech. My OB says there is still plenty of time for them to turn since they are in different positions every time we have an ultrasound. They are definitely always doing flips. I just hope Baby Girl makes her way into the head down position by 34 weeks so I can have a vaginal birth.
I don't know about the rest of you but I have started experiencing new symptoms this past week: acid reflux, groin pain, and occasional lightning strikes in my cervix. Oh the joys of the third trimester

EDD: february 11
How far along?: 29 weeks 4 days
Baby name: sadie rose
Recent Milestone: hiccups! baby girl finally had her first hiccups this morning. i think it freaked her out, because afterwards she used her body to play pong in my belly.
Weight gain: 15lbs as of my 28 week appointment
Nursery status: almost done! i have a few projects (art, sheets, mobile) that need to get done, but all the big stuff is bought/complete. i can't wait to show y'all!
Most annoying symptom?: PEEING. ugh.

Next Appointment?: next tuesday - december 4th
Team?: pink!
How are you feeling?: uh... honestly? like crap. ha. i'm trying to just be thankful for my healthy baby though!
Is the third trimester what you expected?: pretty much. i heard talk of the aches and pains, the trouble bending over, and frequent peeing... they are all spot on.
What are you researching?: nothing. is that bad? i'm a wing it kind of gal.
What do you have left to buy?: just a few things we didn't get at the shower... diapers, boppy, rock n play, and a breast pump.
Is your hospital bag packed?: nope. knowing myself, i'll probably put it off until i'm actually in labor.
Have you had your baby shower?: yes, and it was wonderful!
What are you most worried about?: everything recently! for whatever reason, i'm really struggling with anxiety. i'm hoping it's just the hormones, and it will pass as quickly as it arrived.
Upload a recent bump photo!: my 28 week shot is the most recent one i have...

@photojane - don't buy a pump!! check first to see if your insurance covers it - I heard that across the US, most insurance companies will completely cover a double electric pump (Medela is a brand that is covered) starting January 1st, if not earlier. Just call your insurance company and they'll give you details. For mine, I just have to wait until January 1st when my coverage renews, and then get a doctor's note, and then order from one of three manufacturers... and it's free!
@Jesibee and @Ladyfingers - so I was completely OFF on my fundal height measurement of 23 cm =P which is a good thing! I had a doc's appt yesterday and I'm measuring 30 cm, which is right on track because I was 29 weeks and 4 days yesterday. Yay! I apparently don't know where the top of my uterus is... haha. I will leave all measurements to my doc. My girl is also head down and it was crazy to feel her head!
pomelo / 5331 posts
@Emilie: Oh good! Yeah, I felt the head last week, it is weird, isn't it! I also totally felt feet last night after he kicked the crap out of my side, I put my hand right there and pressed and I was like HOLY CRAP THOSE ARE BABY FEET IN ME.
@WALLAROO: Yay! I've had all those things this whole time -- fun! -- so the only new symptoms I'm having are an intensification of old symptoms.
@photojane: Fun!
EDD: 2/3/13
How far along?: 30w5d
Baby name: Derek John
Recent Milestone: Hm... well, last night, he kicked me so hard I almost fell off the bed! It didn't really hurt, but I think his feet are over on my left side because I was laying on that side and I had a pillow under my belly, and it felt like he just JUMPED on the side of my uterus! I was drifting off to sleep and it woke me up! Geez, kid Another milestone coming up is single-digit countdown -- as of Sunday we'll have 9 weeks until Baby Derek's estimated arrival!
Weight gain: 29 pounds as of my 29-week appointment last week
Nursery status: All done, we're just waiting for one more decor item to get here (ordered yesterday) and for my shower 12/16 to see if we get our sheets/changing pad covers.
Most annoying symptom?: Still acid reflux, totally. Also my belly is SO itchy and parts of it are numb which makes the itch impossible to scratch!!
What are you looking forward to most?: My shower in just 2 weeks! And for baby boy to get here already, which will probably be my answer for the next couple of months.
Next Appointment?: Tuesday, Dec. 4
Team?: Boy
How are you feeling?: Ok. I fluctuate between feeling great and feeling tired/achy/uncomfortable/anxious. I'm just ready for February to be here already!
Is the third trimester what you expected?: I did think I would be a lot more tired than I am. I feel like I have a bit more energy than I even did in the second trimester!
What are you researching?: Gestational diabetes (I need to stop, I'm freaking myself out) and starting to read baby-care books.
What do you have left to buy?: I'm not sure yet because my shower isn't for a couple more weeks, but I'm assuming we won't be getting the stroller or the breast pump because they're both over $200. Insurance won't cover the breast pump until June 1 and I go back to work in late April, so I need to buy it myself, but I'm going to wait until after baby is here and I see if breast feeding even works out at all.
Have you had your baby shower?: Not yet, just a couple of more weeks!
What are you most worried about?: Ugh, everything. But I'm trying to stay positive
Upload a recent bump photo!: Here's me at 30 weeks. I look like crap so I haven't shared it elsewhere on the site yet lol.

Yikes! I am far behind again, oops!
@Emilie: Wonderfuk that you get to have another US later on, I only get to have one which was done at 20 weeks. Nice of your sister to get your a baby cake - very cute!
@JessiBee: Congrats on passing your GD test! I just ordered a couple of books - Happy sleep habits, happy child, it came highly recommended from a friend (she said it was a serious life savior!) and The Baby Book by Dr. William Sears. I noticed it recommended in a few different places so thought I would test it out. I'll let you know what I think when I receive them.
@JerricaBenton: Thank you for sharing your GD test experience, nice that you got a comfy chair and own TV! I have mine on Thursday, I've been asked to fast - so I'm hoping I don't pass out!
@tororojo: That's so nice they gave you the drink previous to coming, I will guess that you only had one draw because of it? Hope you get good results
@WALLAROO: Congrats on the excellent growth of your lil twins! It really must be a party in your stomach, I can only imagine the movement. I am always very curious at to what position my babe is in.

Nursery status: Just received our furniture on Friday! It's al set up now to start decorating
Most annoying symptom?: Peeing and extremely sore stomach muscles. Itchy belly & back.
What are you looking forward to most?: Meeting our LO and a family trip at the end of December.
Next Appointment?: Thurs Dec. 6th + GD testing
Team?: GREEN!!
How are you feeling?: I'm feeling excellent most of the time, thankfully! Sometime I think I feel normal minus a crazy LO dancing around in my belly
Is the third trimester what you expected?: I was expecting the exhausting of first tri to hit me again, it hasn't yet - knocking on wood that it doesn't!
What are you researching?: Cloth diapering, to no end! I am obsessed.
What do you have left to buy?: Mostly smaller items, plus the items we've left at the store we registered at in case anyone wants to purchase them for our shower.
Is your hospital bag packed?: Oh, definitely not!
Have you had your baby shower?: No I haven't
What are you most worried about?: Hmm...not having an income for the entire time I take off. Not having to be induced or have a c section.
Upload a recent bump photo!: I will upload my 29 week one tomorrow when I take it.
@ladyfingers: I am with you on the itchiness - I lube myself up twice a day too! I hope you have a wonderful baby shower. I don't think you look like crap at all, you've got a beautiful baby bump.

EDD: february 8, 7:30am is our scheduled c-section for now
How far along?: 29 weeks 4 days
Baby name: Desmond Elliott
Recent Milestone: I guess being able to feel actual body parts pushing against me, not just random jabs.
Weight gain: 25lbs as of my last appointment
Nursery status: almost finished! Just need to put some artwork up
Most annoying symptom?: heartburn. UGH. I should invest in stock in Tums.
What are you looking forward to most?: our shower and maternity shoot! both in the next two weeks
Next Appointment?: december 7th
Team?: Blue
How are you feeling?: Cranky as all hell. And really, for no good reason. I don't really feel sick. I can still move around fine. I still sleep fine, for the most part. I'm just SUPER cranky....and anxious.
Is the third trimester what you expected?: Not really. I expected it to be worse.
What are you researching?: cloth diapers. newborns. sleeping and eating patterns. uhm a new DSLR? lol

@Phillybaby2013: Oh yeah the whole head-on-pelvis thing is crazy!! He always does it while I'm driving, I guess he's uncomfortable but man, no reason to make ME suffer! And I get RLS too when I'm especially tired! It's the worst. I never had it before pregnancy and now I totally get why it's awful.
@lolabee: Yes on lopsided stomach! DH doesn't see it, but I think it's totally obvious. My uterus is a recliner... and thanks on saying I don't look like crap I think I've totally hit the third trimester "I don't give a shit what I look like" blues. I rarely wash my hair or take the time to do it (it's always up even though it's short to begin with) and I no longer care if all my makeup is gone by afternoon. The other day I went out with no makeup which is so not me. I'm just like, eff it, I'm pregnant and huge!

@ladyfingers: I am the SAME way. I have gone out at least 3 times without any makeup on. And several times with just mascara. I haven't been out of the house without a full face of makeup since.....I dont know, ninth grade?? I'm totally with you on the F it stage!

@ValentineMommy: I'm so glad because I was afraid I was hitting it a tad early based on what other people say! They're like, "I was totally over pregnancy by 39 weeks." I'm like uh, I was totally over it by *29* weeks.

EDD: February 9 but if all goes well the babies will arrive sometime in January
How far along?: 30 weeks and 2 days
Baby name: we are waiting to share once they are born
Recent Milestone: Making it to 30 weeks. My next goal is to make it to 34.
Weight gain: As of my appointment on 11/29 it was 37 pounds
Nursery status: We won't really have a nursery per se because we plan on moving but the makeshift one is coming along
Most annoying symptom?: Acid Reflux
What are you looking forward to most?: Christmas and the arrival of these babies
Next Appointment?: December 13
Team?: Pink & Blue
How are you feeling?: Feeling pretty good overall. Just want to do anything I can to keep these babies in as long as I can. Two women from my multiples childbirth class went into early labor at 32 & 33 weeks. I'm hoping to make it to at least 36.
Is the third trimester what you expected?: So far it has. I'm still getting sleep though so that is a nice surprise! Knock on wood it continues
What are you researching?: How to fit a nursery in a master bedroom plus loft and baby care
What do you have left to buy?: Just some odds & ends and the rock n plays
Is your hospital bag packed?: No, but I should get on it.
Have you had your baby shower?: Yes, it was on 11/17 and it was so fun!
What are you most worried about?: Having the babies preterm and also that baby a won't turn in time which will mean I have to have a c-section
Upload a recent bump photo!: I don't have one on my work computer.

I somehow failed to respond to this one earlier...I guess I was waiting to be at my computer (rather than posting from my phone) for my own sanity...
EDD: February 15
How far along?: 29 weeks 3 days
Baby name: Not telling until birth, but we've been debating using a Hebrew first name.
Recent Milestone: Lots of activity in my tummy! Also, getting harder to move, put on shoes, etc.
Weight gain: 21 pounds at 28 weeks. A little more than I'd like, but I'm (mostly) at peace with it right now, eating relatively healthfully, and going with it.
Nursery status: A long way off. Crib is (finally) ordered, and should be here early/mid-January. Failed to order glider until yesterday, and it should be delivered between mid-January and mid-February. Here's hoping it's on the front end of that! Finally made our registries public, so just hoping people decide to buy us some things, since all that's in the nursery right now is the beautiful paint job and a dresser.
Most annoying symptom?: A lot of peeing. General slowing down.
What are you looking forward to most?: Meeting the baby!! And getting more of the "little things" in the nursery to set up and make it feel more real.
Next Appointment?: Two more weeks, Dec. 18.
Team?: Pink!
How are you feeling?: Mostly pretty good, for which I feel grateful and lucky.
Is the third trimester what you expected?: So far, yes, and I am dreading everything getting more-so as it goes on: slower, harder, achier, bigger, etc.
What are you researching?: Today, diaper bags! But also, in general, how to be a parent. How to balance a crazy-busy job and a baby and a husband. How to maintain sanity with an infant.
What do you have left to buy?: Almost everything, I guess, except a dresser, crib, and glider. But most of it is now picked out at least!
Is your hospital bag packed?: See previous comments about state of nursery. It definitely is not.
Have you had your baby shower?: No shower for me (by choice), at least until after baby has made her appearance.
What are you most worried about?: I'm not sure there's much I'm not worried about. Mostly, I'd agree on the anxiety front. I'm worried about staying upbeat and sane and happy once the late-preganancy and baby arrive; I'm definitely someone who doesn't function well on little sleep, so that makes me really nervous.
Upload a recent bump photo!: One of these days I will. For now, I remain mysteriously incognito.
