How's everyone feeling? Finally experiencing some nausea. I've been having random waves since yesterday. Hoping that's a good thing since I'm STILL spotting! Sheesh.

@AuntieEm: seem to be getting early afternoon nausea, which as a teacher is just *awesome*. I did have a moment on Friday, standing in front of a whole bunch of fourteen year old boys rubbing their dandruff onto each other's desks, trying not to hurl, thinking "what have I done?"

@AuntieEm: nausea is definitely picking up over here along with being tired and a little lower back pain yesterday and earlier today and feeling like my lower stomach is stretching not cramping but stretching good times good times lol

Hey ladies! I haven't caught up on the board, but we are headed out to the beach this morning for a week. No internet where we are staying, so I probably will be a little MIA. Ill try to keep up a bit with my phone. Have a wonderful week!! Can't wait to read about everyone's appointments!

@citymouse: Have fun at the beach! I'm headed there next week and I can't wait for some relaxation!

@AuntieEm: I'm actually feeling okay! For the past three weeks, I've been nauseous all day everyday but for the past two days, it's abated a lot. I just feel sick if I wait way too long between meals. Since I'm only 8 weeks, I'm going to assume that the nausea isn't done with me yet but I'm enjoying the break.

@SweetMamaM: Eepp... dandruff... yuck. So sorry you have to see that. I'm gagging just thinking about it!

@AuntieEm: Nausea is starting to pick up for me as well! No puking yet though. My lovely DH is currently making me eggs (which I crave all the time) and I'm struggling between wanting to devour them and wanting to hurl them out the door. Other than that I feel pretty good.

@SweetMamaM: Oh yuck. I think that would make me puke even if I wasn't pregnant. Lol

@citymouse: Have fun on your trip!!

Nausea! Yuck yuck yuck. I never had any with my LO. No vomittimg yet though. But today we're supposed to go boating with the in laws. How do I...
    A) stop myself from getting extra sea sick and
    B) hide the fact that I'm not having a drink on the boat! That will be such a giveaway.

Maybe I'll just pretend I'm seasick and alcohol will make it worse.

I'm drinking a ginger sparking water now! Delicious!

@MrsKoala: I am snacking all day too! It seems to help

Oh I forgot to mention my neon yellow pee! Hilarious! And weird. Anyone else?

@IcebergMom: My campfire trick is to drink the $8 Jose Cuervo MIX (the kind you are supposed to add tequila to) in my solo cup. It worked perfectly since I usually buy the pre-mixed "tequila is in it" Cuervo jug. No one was any the wiser, and they were jealous that I has such a yummy looking margaritas *evil laugh*

Thankfully I'm still avoiding nausea. However, I now have a huge aversion to chicken. Blehk! And I'm having super-vivid dreams, some of which are food dreams and others are just wtf?! I need to start keeping a little journal of dreams, symptoms, etc.

@Danizaur: eww eggs I crave Mac and cheese, mash potatoes, sweet and sour chicken from the Chinese place, boiled blue crabs and a cherry icee from Bk an I have to eat atleast on of those things one a day so now DH is looking into learning o make all those thing but he loves to cook anyways lol

@indi: that's funny and I totally feel you on te dreaming but even before getting pregnant I dreamed all the time

Anyone having any painful cramping? I'm a little over 8 weeks and last night, all night, was in so much pain. I was worried, until I remembered last pregnancy this happened around the same time, and I thought I had a UTI and even went to the doc for it. I thought since I had previously stretched it wouldn't be so bad, but OUCH!

Tomorrow is our first ultra sound for baby 2! And probably a pap and blood drawing...but I'll focus on the fun part of seeing baby.

@indi: I sat innocently in the backyard today and my FIL passed me a vodka/orange juice in front of two uncles, aunts, cousin, and MIL! Omg. I fake drank for about 10 mins then took my drink inside. Dumped it and filled it back up with orange juice. That was a close call! We're waiting a few more weeks before telling people.

@erinpye: I've been having what feels like stretching feels and a little back pain here and there but nothing painful and I'll be 8week Thursday for the 4th so I'm thinking about telling my aunties since one of my cousins found out and I think she's gonna leak it lol everybody was so happy for me the first time and asking us when would we try again so I know they'll be glad to hear

@erinpye: I have an appt tomorrow too! 2nd appt to see the heartbeat (FX). Thank goodness it's early...9:45! Can't wait to hear about yours!

Also going to try to have a serious talk with her about the spotting and ensure that I shouldn't be on progesterone supps. It just makes me so nervous! Knock on wood, NO spotting at all today!

I just wanted to check in to say hi and read everyone's updates. This thread has been moving so quickly though and my tired brain hasn't been keep up! With that said, I hope all of you are doing well and all the little babies are growing, growing, growing!

I've been having brown spotting off and on for about a week now, but I'm feeling much less nervous about it. I haven't had any cramping and feel fine otherwise. Of course, I'm planning to have my OB check it out at my appointment on Wednesday.

Still no major symptoms to speak of -- mainly just tired and hungry. My boobs are finally starting to grow a bit too. Has anyone else had an increased heart rate? My heart feels like it is racing a few times throughout the day. I read it is just from the extra blood the body is making, but it still feels really strange!

@erinpye: Yay for getting to see baby tomorrow!!

@AuntieEm: I'm so excited you get to see the heartbeat tomorrow! And I'm happy to hear your spotting is better today!

@citymouse: Have a great vacation and a safe trip

@BlueberryPie: Ugh so sorry about the spotting. It really is nerve racking. FX that Weds goes well and we can't wait to hear all about it

@indi: I've been having a lot of food dreams too. I've always had vivid dreams but since I get hungry in the middle of the night now I think I dream of food more. It's mostly been baked goods. Like I'll dream that I'm running rampant in a bakery, haha. Of course then I wake up and have to fight the urge to have donuts for breakfast

@SweetMamaM: Hahahha omg that is so disgusting! Makes me wonder if I want to have a boy...they'll eventually be a gross teenager (I kid )

A favorite show of DH and I is bizarre foods on the travel channel. Today it did not sit well with me haha.

Anyone else having disappearing symptoms? Just started my 7th week and I feel like I have strong symptoms one day and they're gone by the next!

  26. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@mrs.halfsie: I had the whole getting very hungry symptom to disappear and today I am 7w5d and waves of nausea has start hitting me more and I'm getting more and more tired with everyday and I have start getting a stretching feeling in my abdomen but I heard that is normal for symptoms to come and go

  27. MSBartlett

@icebergmom: When you take too many of a certain vitamin your body gets rid of it through urine. Mine has been doing the same thing as well.

@mrs.halfsie: My symptoms definitely come and go. I have not been hit with nauseau yet, but do get easy motion sickness now. My backpain, cramping, and fatigue seem to just come and go whenever they please. Saturday I could not get off the couch and Sunday I was the most productive I have been in a long time.

I am only at 6w2d so I know I have a long way to go and just waiting to see what happens everyday.

@AuntieEm: Not feeling so good anymore. The past week I have been very nauseas. I didn't have this with my son so this is all new to me, but I hate it!

@mrs.halfsie: YES! My nausea was crazy until Friday when it just kind of went away. It was gone for all of the weekend until this morning. WAH. My cramps have mostly gone away now too. Oh and I'm 8w4d right now.

@BlueberryPie: Sorry about the spotting but I'm glad that it isn't stressing you out!!

@AuntieEm: Hope your appt goes well today!!!

@Springtime: Sorry that you are getting hit with the nausea! It's the worst!

@mrs.halfsie: I've had symptoms come and go too, but my three ultrasounds have all been good. I also have no morning sickness (I am 7 weeks, 4 days), which makes me very nervous but trying hard not to be!

What a relief! I know it's still early and we're not out of the woods entirely, but we saw the heartbeat today (tiny flicker) and she said its measuring right on target for 6w3d (give or take, but that is what FertilityFriend says based on temping/O date). She wants me to go back in 2 weeks to check on things again but for now she said its good!
Still nervous but feel so happy today! She said to maybe expect more spotting from today's exam but at least I know that's why now. Phew!
ETA: Her measurements put me at a Feb 23rd EDD but she said its still so early, lets keep it at Feb 19 for now. Next time we'll have a much better idea of EDD.

@AuntieEm: yay for a heartbeat I go next Monday on the 8th and can't wait to be able to hear the heartbeat provided everything is still going well in there which I feel it is and DH just confirmed that he'll be able to go to that appt as well even they he's on call he took the morning off for us

  35. SweetiePie

    honeydew / 7463 posts

@Honeygold89: That's so great that your DH will be there! Exciting I'll be 8.5 weeks at the next appt so I don't know if we'll hear anything yet. I'm just excited to see the little gummy bear (that's how my OB described what baby will look like)

  36. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@AuntieEm: yes it is great and Monday at my appt I will be 8w5d and that's exactly what my MW said we'll see is a little gummy bear lol

@AuntieEm: Yay! That's wonderful news that you got to see a heartbeat and everything was measuring spot on target! So happy for you!

@raintreebee: Really glad to hear you've had three positive scans so far! Try not to let the lack of MS worry you - it's a good thing to skip it altogether! I had none with my first and I had two days of it at the very beginning with this LO but it's gone away since then and I have my fingers crossed it stays away! I'm 9 weeks exactly today.

Pregnancy exhaustion has been kicking my butt recently. Yesterday was the first day where I made I through the day without passing out on the floor at some stage. There is no scarier feeling than falling asleep accidentally, only to wake up and not see your one year old in the room with you! Our house is baby proofed so I know she's fine but those accidental naps from pure exhaustion are freaking me out! On the plus side, my MIL and FIL just arrived for a three week visit yesterday so at least I'll have some help!

Hope everyone else is doing well - I'm not always very good about responding but I'm always reading along and thinking of all of you!

@MrsKoala: @Honeygold89: @Ree723: Thanks for the well wishes.
The hormones must be kicking in because every time I think about that little flicker on the screen I cry!

ETA: DH is finally allowing himself to get a little excited Today after the appt we went to lunch and he started talking about names...something he had avoided so far, being afraid to get excited.

    @AuntieEm: So excited for you!

So I sneezed today at work and then felt like my nose was running a bit, so I wiped my nose and low and behold my nose was bleeding!

I haven't had a nosebleed since high school. Apparently they are normal for pregnancy?
