I get to see LO today as I have my NT scan in a couple of hours- it's the main reason I'm getting one..hehehe

Feeling tired and crampy all weekend, I can't wait to get my energy back in the second tri

So I had a quick 10-20 minute appt today and no us but he did the Doppler and found the HB so quick that it even surprised her she said its gonna be a girl cause it was too easy lol even tho I want I boy I do think its a girl cause I keep dreaming about holding a bay girl but the HB was 163 so just as strong as last time and tomorrow is our NT scan and I'm so excited to see my Lil one tomorrow I'll be 12w6.

@MrsKoala: @citymouse: My nausea has settled a little but I get so tired And sleepy And I run out of breath kind of quick just from walking so its kinda getting Harding to keep up with my cardio at the gym these days but I'm also down 4lbs.

@ElbieKay: waiting is a pain but I waited 4 weeks for my last blood results which where just regular blood work

@lavender: yay that's really the only reason why I'm doing one just to se the baby before the anatomy scan

@MrsKoala: yeah my nausea got worse it went from only in the morning to anytime I wasn't eating. I am also suffering literally a pain in the butt due to the relaxin which makes standing and walking and sleeping painful.

Also I still can't eat normal food... I'm currently surviving on potato chips, pizza pockets, saltanas, and fruit... what a healthy diet I am feeding my LO...

@MrsKoala: I have bad days... It's not all the time now, but yesterday was just as bad as some of the worst first tri days. Grrrr. It's meant to be getting better, isn't it?
@lavender: hoping your NT scan went well!
@Honeygold89: exciting about hearing the heartbeat again! My midwife appointment was out off two weeks (she had to go on early maternity leave herself so another midwife is now looking after my case) so I have to wait til NT scan next week to hear it! I hope your scan goes marvelously tomorrow. See if you can see the nub (google nub theory) and find out whether you have a boy or girl!
@Mrs Music: ugh relaxin sucks. My pelvis is massive as it is, doesn't need to be any bigger!

I just found out my closest friend from teachers' college is also expecting in Feb! So exciting!

NT scan went well, baby was a jumping bean and was all over the place. HB of 160. It still amazes me what a difference of a couple weeks makes. And making their HB debut baby lavender #2

So apparently I have a stubborn baby it wouldn't turn so she could measure the fold but it did show its butt lol and we seen the arms, legs, feet, and heard and seen the hear, along with the stomach and bladder it was so cute but the tech wants me to eat and fill my bladder and come back in a hour to try again and if she can't get it today she wants me to come back the end of the week so lets hope this little bean turns before 10:30 lol

So the scan went good the spacing is good and blood work should be back in a week or two and after eating and going back the baby was doing flips this time it kept just moving it was so cute but the tech had a hard time getting it to stay in the positions she needed lol so these were some of the best pic she could get

Haven't been updating because there hasn't been much to say. But I am doing good! MS is completely gone but fatigue keeps hanging around. Feeling great...and actually starting to show a bit!

    Got maternity pants. Yay!

Also we scheduled our appointment at the elective ultrasound place for an early gender reveal. We will find out September 13th! I can't wait!! We won't be having our gender reveal party due to some scheduling issues. But at least now we will get to find out early!!

Could have gone a week earlier but we will be on vacation. Boo? Yay?

@Danizaur: that's good to hear we go back sept 17th for our anatomy scan I'll be 18weeks now I'm trying to think of creative ways to tell our parents the gender.

@Danizaur: @Honeygold89: yay for upcoming u/s to find out the genders! My DH wants me to wait to schedule it until 20 weeks, but he's crazy, and if my OB is cool with it, I'm doing it at a little past 18 weeks, which will be the week of Sept. 9th. With my last pregnancy, my OB wanted me to schedule it the same day as my 20 week appointment, so that could happen, but I'd be so bummed to have to wait an additional 2 weeks.

    nectarine / 2527 posts

    @SweetMamaM:Thanks
@erinpye: I hope you can get it for the 9th rather the waiting an addition two weeks I can't believe it's almost that time already it seems like time is going quick we already bout to find out our babies gender!!!

@lavender: @Honeygold89: Aww, I love seeing little bubs in utero! So cute! @Lavender you got a great 3D shot of your little one - amazing!

So exciting that some of you are getting dates for your morphology scan where you can find out the gender! I sort of want to find out this time but DH is adamant he does not, so it looks like we're TG again. I'm 51% happy about it and 49% grumpy as I kind of do want to know! Ah well, I'll live vicariously through all of you!

In other news, I had my booking in appt yesterday at the hospital and put my name in the draw for the birth centre (as opposed to the L&D ward of the hospital). It sounds lovely and I would be able to go home four hours after the baby is born (huge selling point!) BUT they are very focused on natural childbirth there, which means no epidural. I loved my epi last time so incredibly much and I can't decide if I want to try to do it without..... The hospital stay in the maternity unit is 3 days for a normal delivery and that sounds awful to me (I had 36 hours in with my LO and that was 24 hours too many). So I'm really on the fence here. The birth centre only takes ten women per month and it's done by lottery after you've been cleared by an OB as being low risk, so depending how many women sign up, there is a very real chance I won't get in. Anyway, that's my dilemma of the moment.

In other news - second trimester energy burst has fully set in and the fatigue of the first tri is long gone, thank goodness! Hope everyone else is either starting to, or will soon start feeling better!

Hi ladies, Here is a post with a not so great update. http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/coping-with-a-very-high-risk-pregnancy
I will probably take a break from this board since I think it would be best if I found other ladies with similar issues, but I wish you only the very best with your pregnancies!

@raintreebee: I am so sorry about this!! Also, completely understand that need to be surrounded by others going through similar experiences. I wish I had better words to encourage you. I will be thinking of you! ((HUG))

@Ree723: Do you have the option to not do the Birth Centre if you are chosen? I think if I was in your position, and I was chosen, I would take it as some sort of sign! Can't wait to experience that burst of energy!!

Nothing new to report. Still gagging a lot (ugh) and still pretty sleepy. Bump is showing a bit. Right below my belly button.

We have told all of our family and friends. Next step is telling my clients, and then I think we will reveal on Social Media around 16 weeks.

Really excited to hear the HB tomorrow! Also excited bc my BFF is finding out the sex tomorrow. Since we are Team Green, I am living through their experience!

Anyone else in the US really excited for the Fall??

@raintreebee: thinking good thoughts, stop by the boards and keep us updated

@Ree723: I loved my epi the first time around and couldn't imagine going again without one.

    @citymouse: I can not wait for fall...football!

@Honeygold89: Glad to hear that the scan went well. Our baby was stubborn, too and with some prodding finally moved so that the tech could do the measurements.

@lavender: Wow. That 3D ultrasound is insane!! How cool.

@Danizaur: September 13th!! That seems so soon. How awesome! Sorry that the gender reveal party didn't work out but yay for finding out early.

@erinpye: @Honeygold89: I'm another Team Green lady who is going to live vicariously through you like @Ree723.

@raintreebee: Thinking of you and hoping that you will feel comfortable enough soon to come back but completely understand why you would need to take a break.

@citymouse: I also cannot wait for the fall. August is my crazy busy time at work and I can't wait for it to be over!!! BTW, did you see the Gold Bump Thread that Indi made? Just thought you might be interested in posting on a gold thread since it's not searchable and more private.

  26. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@MrsKoala: lol even when the tech poked and push my baby wasn't having it it was just so cute and funny cause it had its butt to us it took pizza, some Italian ice, and water to wake it up and then it was moving and flipping everywhere lol

Just a query... For those of you that have told work already, what did you actually say? I will tell my direct manager next Wednesday pending a positive NT scan but I have a sneaky suspicion that with other things going on at work it's not going to be the best news. What do I say? I've never done this before!

@SweetMamaM: I just told my immediate people leader. She was understanding and happy to keep it a secret until my nt scan. I only told her early on cos I was always taking sick leave.

@SweetMamaM: Is it a woman or a man?

I think I kinda just went "so the reason I'm taking all these sick days is cos I'm pregnant and feeling like throwing up all the time"...

I work in a team full of boys though so she and I are keeping it hush... it makes it difficult cos I want to throw up over my keyboard, particularly when they eat lunch at their desks...

  32. SweetMamaM

@Mrs Music: it's a woman. We have a staff meeting so I'm hoping to just draw her aside after that.

When I accepted this job two years ago, I made a big stink about their lack of a maternity leave policy. They wound up putting a paragraph into my offer letter guaranteeing that I could take 3 months off with no penalty (a la FMLA -- the company is too small to qualify for FMLA).

So I think I may just kick things off by saying, "Remember that big stink I made about maternity leave?"

I broke down and called my ob's office. Neither test result is in yet. Today is business day 8 since my Harmony blood draw, so I know it's a little early but I was hoping for a fast turnaround. And my husband's genetic test was drawn two full weeks ago! My genetic results came back in 1.5 weeks. Feh.

@ElbieKay: I hope they hurry up so you can have a Piece of mind and be able to relax

@ElbieKay: Hi! I still lurk around. My husbands blood results back in January took 4 or 5 weeks! We were amazed that it took so long. I think his took longer than mine because he is askhenazi and I'm not and he had a lot more things to be tested for. But then I remember you are too and yours didn't take that long. Weird! Maybe they just aren't as worried about the father's results as the mothers so they don't make it a priority.
    Either way, its annoying!

  37. ElbieKay

    pomegranate / 3231 posts

    @Honeygold89: Thanks!

@SweetiePie: Hi! I hope you are doing ok! I was thinking about you yesterday.

There is only a 1% chance that my husband is a carrier. (And if he does, there is a 25% chance that the fetus is affected.) I just really want to get some peace of mind already! I was doing ok last week but for some reason I am driving myself crazy this week. I know it's irrational because the odds are well in our favor. But it is still really hard.

I think it's partly that I am waiting on these results so that we can tell my husband's grandmother -- she is 92 so we would like a little bit more confidence before sharing the news with her -- plus my boss and some more close friends. I really want to rip the band aid off at work because I don't know how they are going to react. I just want to fast forward through the next few weeks! Agggghhh!

Oh, and I want to know the gender too

I should really stop being a brat and get some work done. Sigh.

@ElbieKay: Thanks I think about you girls all the time but I feel weird posting constantly. Like "hey, lady. You aren't a feb mama anymore, move along!"
But I feel like I'm invested in all of your stories and love reading about your progress
