Hi ladies. I'm sick at the moment. Got tested to see if I have influenza A (cos DH) got it.

I've been looking at baby stuff before I go to a baby expo in October and its so hard to decide what's the best choice because its hard to compare the Australian products with stuff on here for example. Does anyone else have this problem?

    @Springtime: Congrats on the daughter!

I felt my baby kick for the first time today! So happy cos I was coughing s hard I thought maybe I hurt it so I was like "gimme a sign you're ok"

@MrsKoala: @sweetmamam: thanks ladies! Definitely enjoying our time although travelling to a developing country with a 14 month old is definitely not like travelling to a developing country sans children! I might need a holiday after this holiday!

@Mrs Music: Oh no! I hope it's not influenza! Feel better soon! I'm a master at comparing the US products and Aussie products, courtesy of being an American living in Aus, so feel free to ask any questions you might have! The biggest downside is the price difference - products I can buy in America for $40-$50 are nearly always well over $100 here, so I've been a bit pickier in buying stuff than I probably would have been in the US.

@Springtime: Congrats on Team Pink! So exciting you'll now have one of each!

ETA: @mrsmusic: I'm sorry to hear it is the flu, you poor thing. I hope you can find some ways to relieve the discomfort and get better soon! Is your DH feeling better yet? I think you deserve some major pampering to help you get better!

@Mrs Music: ugh, the flu when pregnant must be awful
@Ree723: yeah, I can't imagine that would be the easiest thing to do!

So I had a appt today and my MW was a little busy today so she went to listen to baby's heartbeat on the Doppler but couldn't find it but we kept hearing movement so since she was so busy today she didn't want to waste time trying to find it so she did an ultrasound and the baby was in there "dancing" so she got a HB for a few seconds but was ok with that and she got a good picture of the heart so I'm satisfied plus all the blood work came back normal now I'm just ready for next tues to see what the baby is!

@Ree723: I've heard alot about the Aden & Anais swaddles and they are originally by an Australian (and of course more expensive here) the designer said she started making them because she couldn't get muslin swaddles in America like she could in Australia. Are the a&a swaddles better than what I could get here?

    @Danizaur: that's so special!

After going to a party at a beach house this weekend (and having a very patchy sleep due to some drunken lout who thought it would be hilarious to switch the stereo back on at 2am), I've got a chesty cough. Boo! Chugging back the lemon, honey and finger drinks and having the day off work tomorrow to try and recover.

Hello! Just checking in. I was on vacation for a week then catching up at work so haven't been online too much. I can't believe we are all close to the halfway point! I had my early anatomy scan last week and bought a Beco Gemini yesterday.

    Hope everyone is doing well!

@SweetMamaM: Boo! I hope you feel better soon. My allergies have started up like they do every year but I think the pregnancy is making them worse. I feel okay after I take my medicine, but not as good as I used to!

@ElbieKay: I know! Time is going by so fast!

@Honeygold89: Awww congrats! Happy for you!

As for DH & I, we're at a bit of a crossroads. My chromosome analysis didn't come back as we had hoped. I am carrying a balanced transposition on two of my chromosomes which explains my two miscarriages...and also means its pretty likely that it'll keep happening. The chance of a healthy pregnancy conceived naturally is not great.
They are recommending we go the IVF route with PGD (basically screen our embryos for healthy ones before implanting them).
I created a whole thread on it here, if anyone's interested.

    http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/crap-i-have-a-balanced-translocation

Its just so surreal. How can I get pregnant so easily but still have to have IVF? That possibility just never occurred to me. Its all still sinking in, trying to wrap my mind around it. But we'll sort it out, just need some time!

@SweetiePie: aw ok well you never know god works in mysterious ways but at least you know what happened and now you can figure out where to go from there. I wish you all the luck

@Honeygold89: that's such great news! It's a bit surreal that we're all around the halfway point!
@SweetiePie: I read your other thread... It really sucks that you have to deal with the translocation but it is good that they can give you a better chance with IVF. Hopefully with your ability to get pregnant easily, implantation shouldn't be an issue for you!

My pregnancy has been pretty easy so far, but the last 3 days in a row I have been so angry. I get in bad/sad moods every evening and it usually ends up coming out on my husband. Everything he does just aggravates me and I don't know why!! I feel so bad. He has to be so confused and hurt.

I can't control my mood swings. This has been the worst part of pregnancy so far.

  29. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

@Danizaur: I just can't control what comes out of my mouth... Like it's things I might have thought in the past, but would have just let go. Husband is stressed at work ATM, and I'm sick, so it is all fun and games at our place at the moment

@SweetMamaM: it really its very surreal I'm at 18w6 today so in a week an a day ill be 20weeks or five months wow!

@SweetMamaM: Shew I feel ya. DH is the kind of person to take everything on himself without talking about it. He's already picking up my slack at home, and now taking my snarky comments without a word. I know he's hurt.

Why is my baby making me a meanie

  32. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@Danizaur: @SweetMamaM: aw I know what you girls mean I get like that off and on and can't really help it and with school I've been good until last nights English class now that we have two essays coming up and my mind just goes blink then I get frustrated and DH has Ben doing good at supporting me with it and putting up with the frustration and angry he's been better then I expected

@Danizaur: Girl, I have been so moody for the past two days and I do not know how to stop myself from being mad for no reason. Is this a weird second tri thing?

  34. artsyfartsy

    cantaloupe / 6692 posts

@MrsKoala: Must be! I'm fine at work but as soon as I get home I get angry!! Which is weird because I like home a lot more than work. I didn't get mood swings much during PMS but now I know why people think girls are so evil on their period!

DH is a foreman at an electric company so when I seen this I knew right away I had to get it. It's just so cute and he has so many pictures up around the house of him up on the power lines.

@Honeygold89: Hmmmm I'm not sure about Gold or not... most people don't share names unless it's a Gold thread but sometimes I worry that Gold threads alienate those who don't have it. I probably won't share our names either way only because we aren't sharing them IRL and we don't know which choice we will end up with!
