@Ree723: aw your baby looks like it's rubbing its eyes how cute I love to see there little arms and hands. I thinks it's a girl but who knows I thought mines was a girl before I seen his man parts lol
@erinpye: aw she too cute already I can't wait for feb so we can all meet our cuties
@Mrs Music: that's should be fun, cute and exciting!
Did anyone else get them to record their anatomy scan? We did and I look at it almost everyday and I just love to see him moving around in there!

@Danizaur: This is the first time I've ever seen so many Team Green people! I'm happy to not be alone!!

@Honeygold89: We asked for a DVD when we went in but their machine was broken. They let us break the rules and DH recorded it with his cell phone. I've watched it twice today!
In a way that was better because we got to text the video to family so they could see. I already put it on a disc too.

@MrsKoala: Go Team Green!
Funny story: I was showing my dad the anatomy scan video and he was amazed. He said "We didn't have this technology when you were born." So I asked him if he and mom found out I was a girl before I was born. He said no (the option was available but they couldn't afford it). I said "So you were Team Green!"
He just kind of looked at me. I was like "Oh uh...that's what they call it now of days." Lol

@Danizaur: aw that was cool I love to look at my baby it's so amazing to see
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Danizaur: My mom was telling me that the doctor's office would guess based on the old wives' tales like the heart beat or how you are carrying and a lot of time they were wrong! It's so interesting how far the technology has come in only 30 years!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@MrsKoala: My mom told me not long ago that she didn't find out she was having a girl but she knew.
She didn't elaborate (confused the heck out of me) but that's probably what she meant. They probably used old wives tales.
How crazy is that! Now you can see everything.

Hey Feb Mamas!
Ive been keeping up reading, but not commenting!
Had our big US yesterday. Everything checked out great except.... there are a few cysts on the baby's brain. We had declined all screening tests, but with the cysts we agreed with the Dr. that we should be tested since we were still in the "window." Had blood drawn yesterday to test for Trisomy Screen. We are upset, but clinging to the fact that all the other anatomy looks perfect on the US. If anything comes back positive, we will be having an Amnio to see if there is a diagnosis.
Other than that the US was really fun! HB is still hanging in the low 140's, baby was moving SO much, and hiding its face from us. She was able to get a shot of the face but it is one of the scariest things Ive seen. I made DH hide it. I definitely prefer the way the Face looks on 3D vs. Regular US. Haha!
nectarine / 2527 posts
@citymouse: well I hope and pray all is well with your little one and that's good that everything else including the HB is normal hopefully the cyst will turn out to be nothing major

@citymouse: Praying for you that everything is fine!
I have a picture from my last US of his face straight on. It's so scary looking.

@citymouse: praying for you citymouse I'm sure it will all be ok in the end!
Question to all you ladies... I'm 18 weeks now... the last 3 days the baby has been moving around heaps especially around 10am-11am (luckily not painful). Today I feel nothing... the weather today is cold and rainy compared to the warm dry last 3 days... I don't suppose that has anything to do with it?
persimmon / 1116 posts
@Mrs Music: Thank you!! I don't know, but I wouldn't think so. Maybe drink something sugary and lay on your left side for about 30 minutes and be very still and see if you feel anything. Press on your belly, jiggle where you are pressing. If I didn't, I might be more concerned.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@Mrs Music: I go days with tons of movement and then have days with almost none. This early on I don't think the baby is big enough to feel consistent movement. I wouldn't worry too much. Maybe you have an anterior placenta too?
nectarine / 2400 posts
@Mrs Music: I've been following along but haven't been commenting but I wanted to let you know I had an appt on Monday at 18+4 and my md said dont be worried if you feel the baby everyday for a week then nothing for a week. She said you probably won't get consistent movement for about 4 more weeks! She said baby just isn't big/stong enough and they have too much room to move around in there!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@citymouse: Thinking of you and hoping all will be well in the end!! We umm started calling the baby Skeletor after it turned during the U/S and we saw a full on close up headshot of it's skull. It was freaky.
@Mrs Music: Movements were like that for me around that time as well. Baby would be moving like crazy one hour and then I wouldn't feel anything for a couple days. Now that I feel kicks, I feel it everyday.
cherry / 209 posts
Thanks everyone. Yeah I will not worry about it, worrying might just make the baby get worried. I'm putting it down to the fact that its taking after its mummy. Last three days were warm and today its cold. I usually want to hibernate when its cold so I reckon its doing the same.
@Danizaur: that's when the placenta is at the front right? I think mine might be because usually when either DH or I put our hands on my belly all we feel is my heartbeat sometimes!

@citymouse: I'll keep you guys and your LO in my prayers for lots of good news
@Danizaur: I'm sort of like that, too. Some days it's a muay thai party in there, and other days I get a few thumps and that's it.
Aaaahhh, two more weeks to wait for our sneak peek. We're excited to see the LO again. I am enjoying being obviously pregnant, though, to the point that clients and other folks I see for work a few times a month feel safe in commenting. One gal did scold her friend for asking me today, though, saying "and what would you do if she said no and she was just getting fat?!" Bahahah.
cherry / 209 posts
@indi: haha. A person who works with my team was also scared to comment till I told him yesterday. Now he keeps addressing me as 'hey preggo'.
LO has made an appearance... apparently it was sleeping in today.
pear / 1743 posts
@citymouse: oh that has to be very nerve-wracking! Praying that everything is OK!
@Mrs Music: it varies for me day-to-day, sometimes I feel lots of flutters, sometimes none.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@Mrs Music: yup! Might be. Mine is but it's up higher so I can still feel him down low. So I guess it all depends on where he's laying whether or not I will feel him.

@littleblessings: Welcome! I just realized that I completely missed your first post. So sorry! Feb 6 was my first EDD until it got moved to Feb 2. Congratulations on the little boy!
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@Danizaur: Should we add EDD to the gender chart?
ETA: Can everyone comment with their EDD as it stands to make it easy to find? Mine is Feb 2.
clementine / 984 posts
@MrsKoala: Ooh, that'd be nice! Is it too much work, @Danizaur:? We're finding out the sex on Oct 9 *hopefully* and our EDD is Feb. 20.

@MrsKoala: @Danizaur: my due date is Feb 23rd
Hoping little one comes slightly early though... But I suspect I may end up with a March baby instead!
clementine / 984 posts
@SweetMamaM: I'm kind of hoping for a March baby...or at least trying to avoid a Valentine's baby (so no going early for me!). If the LO wants to hang out an extra week, that's all good with me.

@Danizaur: Yeah I think due dates would be more organize so we can go down the line.
The anatomy scan went well, and baby girl is still a baby girl! Best part of the scan was when she was waving
