February 2014 Babies!

    @Danizaur: sorry I've been AWOL - supposed to be packing for this move on Wednesday...so not ready, eeek!

    Our due date is February 23rd Still Team Green but our anatomy scan is tomorrow so I will let you know if there's any accidental viewings of baby's nether regions! We are "out" to family and friends but haven't made it Facebook official - if someone asked on there though I would have no problem responding with an affirmative. There's no hiding it in real life anymore though. Apparently I have zero abdominal tone

    @Springtime

    I had to copy and paste the list this time and lost all of the emoticons. I couldn't go back to the previous page to look so I went by memory. I'm 99% sure I got everyone's gender/team green status right...let me know if I goofed.

    @OldEnglandMama: Naaah, I just like to say my baby is stronger than my abs. Lol. Go with that one

    Just read this interesting article. http://kellymom.com/ages/newborn/bf-basics/second-night/

    It's funny cos it almost sounds like it recommends not swaddling your baby to the point they can't move their arms which goes against everything else I've heard.

    @indi: Bwahaha. I like it. Yes, that is *exactly* what's going on with my belly

    Random question to everyone. Have you sneezed or coughed yet and had an accident? It happened to me the other day for the first time. Wanted to know if anyone else had this problem yet?

    @littleblessings: Not yet (19w5d) but I've been kegel-ing like a madwoman trying to hold it off. I've gotten the pregnancy stuffiness/sneezes, though, so I fear it's just a waiting game.

    My girlfriends and I call it "snissing" yourself. Lol.

    @littleblessings: umm all the time, but I think it also has to do with having weak pelvic floor muscles from delivering #1...but if my bladder is full it's usually a given I'll sneeze and pee

    @indi: SNISSING. Lol

    @Danizaur: Do your kegels...I hope you don't have to experience it!!

    I do kegels but it doesn't help me any. =/

  12. artsyfartsy

    @lavender: I do when I remember...which isn't too often. Lol!

    Also I've reverted back to 4 hour naps every day. First trimester I was just sleepy all the time. Now I'm not sleeping good at night. I wake up every hour because I'm uncomfortable. Any tips?

    @littleblessings: Not yet but I've been playing volleyball throughout and I found that when I jump lately, I pee a little bit.

    @Danizaur: No tips here but just wanted to let you know that my sleep has gotten crappy too. I miss stomach sleeping.

    @littleblessings: not sneezing or coughing cause I haven't really done either of those but when I have to go it slowly comes just a lil if I don't hurry to the bathroom.

    @Danizaur: @MrsKoala: ugh I so miss stomach sleeping

    @Honeygold89: I know you're not supposed to sleep on your back, but for a while that was the only way I could sleep through the night. Now it makes my back ache. But I hate side sleeping too. My poor husband gets beat up all night with my 500 pillows I sleep with and keep tossing around. Lol

    @littleblessings: oh dear! Hadn't happened to me but I swear I almost peed waiting for my ultrasound today w my full bladder! They were 35 mins behind schedule!!!

    @MrsKoala: that'd be a good slogan for Nike, "when I jump, I pee." Lol

    Had a great first and only (probably) ultrasound today. Got all anatomy scanned and everything is measuring exactly 19 weeks so my EDD looks very accurate! Baby was very busy! In good old breech position which my 2 yo LO never moved out of.

    @littleblessings: not yet, I had an a awful chest infection a couple of weeks though and thought it might happen though - eek!
    @Danizaur: you can change me to a reluctant Team Green! Baby kept his/her legs closed! Ah well, if they are that eager to keep their privates private as a teenager, I'll be a happy mama

    @Danizaur: due February 23rd, team pink! @littleblessings: I have accidents all the time, and if I don't go to the bathroom soon enough I start leaking, it's so bad being pregnant with #2, it wasn't like this with my first. I should've done more kegels!

    @Danizaur: gorgeous list Dani!

    We got the expedit shelving up in our nursery last night and wow! It actually started to sink in a little that we actually have a nursery and will have someone to live in it in the next 20 odd weeks. I know it sounds peculiar, but I feel that it's not until this anatomy scan that I've actually allowed myself to feel that this could happen

    @Danizaur: Hi. I've been quiet due to all my pregnancy complications but please add me. Due date is 2/14, and I am team blue. Thanks!

    Had my anatomy scan this week. Everything looks good, which is incredibly relieving. We are majorly concerned about growth issues due to placental insufficiency but so far so good. Looks like we are at least going to avoid a 24/25 week delivery.

    @raintreebee: oh that's great news that you should avoid an early prem delivery! Here's hoping your little lad stays in there as long as he can!

    @SweetMamaM: I know right? We've started on his room. I got my glider in today. DH is putting it together. I think when I get his crib in is when it will REALLY hit me. Someone's going to be sleeping in this soon!

    @raintreebee: I've been thinking of you a lot but didn't want to be intrusive! I'm so glad that you posted an update here. I'm so so happy to hear that all looks good so far! Congrats on the boy.
    ETA: Keep on baking, Baby Raintree!

    @SweetMamaM: Oh gosh I hope my baby opens their legs just this one time!

    All this talk about nursery setup is sweet... and sad... we have like no space for a nursery cos my parents moved in and all their stuff is taking up our spare room... if we're lucky the baby will have one piece of nursery furniture in every room of the house... I saw these pooh bear wall decals (my DH loves pooh) and I really want to get them... but there was no point...

    What are the names that everyone has chosen for their wee ones? Or what are you considering?

  36. artsyfartsy

    @Mrs Music: My DH loves pooh too!

    @littleblessings: We've chosen his name but I will probably only share it on gold. It's very one of a kind. I haven't heard it used as a first name anywhere else. It may give away my anonymity.

    @littleblessings: We have a name picked out that is growing on me...When we were deciding on LO #1's name I couldn't figure out what I liked better so she got my top two names.
