February 2014 Babies!

@raintreebee: So glad to hear your update! You've been in my thoughts and it's great to hear that little raintree baby is happily baking away inside! Hope he decides to hang out for many more weeks before coming out to meet his mummy!

@IcebergMom: Yay for great anatomy scans! And how awesome that your baby is measuring spot on target with the date you thought it would be!

@littleblessings: We have three boy names picked out that we're both really happy with - if it's a boy, we decided we'll just pick one when we meet him. Now for girls, I am 100% set on one name, and he is 100% set on another. We're at such an impasse right now! We're both kind of meh about each other's pick so I have no idea how this is going to pan out. And since I really feel like LO is a girl, we need to resolve this at some stage! Both names go with our DD's name, so that's not an issue, and they're about the same in popularity and ease of spelling, so it really just comes down to preference. Sigh, I want my pick so badly!!!

Is anyone considering using the Honest company's products for their LO? The products sound really good... oh why oh why won't they sell to Australia....

@Mrs Music: I think I would if I were in the US. For my LO now I just use a lot of green cleaners and cloth diapers. And green skin products for her. Or at least, I try to.

@Mrs Music: I haven't looked into it yet but from what I've heard I may consider it. I thought about cloth diapering but after a lot of research I don't think it's the best for me right now to pull off. I'm still a chemical free/natural kind of lady though.

    @raintreebee: best wishes little baby!
@Ree723: are we talking names yet? We're team green so we're working on 2! First place right now are Charlie and Molly!

@littleblessings: We've got two boy contenders and two girl contenders and we will choose when we meet the baby. DH and I decided that we are not sharing names with anyone (even HB) until baby is here and official named.

@Mrs Music: I am looking at Honest Company diapers as well and trying to decide if it's worth the extra cost. I'm hoping to be as green as possible but I'm not sure if cloth diapering will work for us.

@Ree723: I bet. DH and I had a really hard time picking names. He wanted one, I wanted another so we got our sisters input and they picked my choice.

@IcebergMom: I like your name choices.

@littleblessings: thanks! Our LO right now is grace. We like old fashioned names.

@Danizaur: that really is a nice list I love it but I use my body pillow on the left side of my back so that way I'm not flat on my back or am I on my side it's been working so far

@IcebergMom: how exciting and great that LO is on track

@raintreebee: yay how great I was looking at your other post a few days ago to see if you had any updates but that's great and here's to a full term healthy raintree baby

@SweetMamaM: we got the crib and changing pad for the changing table yesterday and today FedEx delivered the mobile, one set of wall decals, and one of many blankets and between now and next week the mattress, 4pc bedding and other small things should arrive and DH, my dad, and bro will be putting up the shed so we can move everything out the room and start putting the crib together! Oh plus I went a little crazy this pass week and bought like 20 outfits but went with 0-6 or 3-6 months to be safe and a few pairs of booties and a pair of cute cloth type shoes

@littleblessings: we have our girl's name picked out, but just like with DD#1, we aren't revealing it to a single soul before she's born.

@Danizaur: We're going to cloth diaper at home and disposable at nights and when going out. Since I'm only cloth diapering in the daytime at home... none of these cute modern cloth diapers... it's old school terry towelling nappies with chux liners like my mum used on my sister 20+ years ago. I kinda want those honest disposable diapers...

@Danizaur: aw I want to know too lol

@littleblessings: we're going with Noah Joshua and everybody knows and is calling him by that now lol I just love it

@Mrs Music: I think I might try them and see how I like them when he's born but no cloth diapers here I don't think they'll work for us

I can't wait to start seeing everyone's baby names! Our U/S is on the 9th...can't wait to peek! DH is so excited to take a look. He doesn't want to start picking names until we know what we're having, although we have tossed around a few girls' names early on. Such a big decision!

My craziest thing lately is to see my stomach moving! LO was kicking the other night while DH was already in bed, and look down and *thump* *thump* there goes my tummy! Tonight LO was going crazy, but DH is gone. I sure hope the party continues tomorrow for DH to enjoy.

@IcebergMom: I have this obsession with old fashion names but for some reason lately I wanted to add -lynn to the end of the girl names. My LO's name is Scarlett. She is the only Scarlett in my area.

@Honeygold89: Noah was like a dream name of mine but DH shot it down instantly. =/ I'm happy that you get to use it. =)

@indi: I kinda made DH help me come up with a name before our U/S so I knew what to call him or her. I didn't like calling him it. So now it is Hunter James.

@indi: We are still trying to choose a name, but here is our short list: http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/which-name-do-you-like

  19. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@indi: aw how cute I feel plenty of movement but not much kicking since at last check he was facing my spine so maybe that's why I don't feel kicks just moving

@littleblessings: I love that name before we decided on Noah DH shot down everything I came up with plus we didn't want a common name like John or mike where it'll be 20 in one class lol I thought since DH and his brother have biblical name and this baby is the only grandson why not go with a biblical name and DH mom is a pastor. Matter of fact his the first and only grandson on me and DH side and DH bothers and sisters are all done with kids he's the baby.

  20. ElbieKay

    pomegranate / 3231 posts

@Honeygold89: I love the name Noah, but FYI it was ranked 4th last year in the U.S.! So I don't think it will necessarily be very uncommon!

  21. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@ElbieKay: I see that now but the website I was on a few months ago didn't show that but I still love it and not to be funny but it's not a common name among African Americans I have seen a few Noah's at my mom daycare over the yrs but they've all been caucasian

@Honeygold89: @ElbieKay: I think that you should definitely choose a name you love I have a stereotypical eighties name so there was almost always another one of me and I didn't mind. In fact (what are the chances?) there was another woman with the same first name as me in the ultrasound waiting room at the same time! Gave all of us a bit of a laugh.

  23. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@SweetMamaM: of course my name was very popular so I never had classes or worked with someone as the same name as me

Here is the gold thread I posted when I found out he was a boy. I put his name in it!
If anyone non gold wants to know Ill be happy to PM you! I don't want anyone to think I'm excluding them because they're not gold. Just don't want to make it searchable.

Venting for a second.... As it gets closer to winter I feel more "blah" and just sleep a lot. Anybody else get the winter blues?

  32. artsyfartsy

    cantaloupe / 6692 posts

@littleblessings: I like cooler weather better, so I get excited about that. But when spring/summer comes everything just seems to wake up. Winter feels like everything is sleeping and is kind of boring and sad. lol

But this year I'm looking forward to winter! Baby T will be here!

  33. Mrs Music

    cherry / 209 posts

@littleblessings: yep I do... and its spring here!! (but feels like winter 7 degrees today!!

I'm happy to share the girl name I really wanted because my DH has flat out said no to it... but I really wanted to name a daughter Shiri (rhymes with Cheery). It means 'song of my soul' in Hebrew.

  34. artsyfartsy

@Mrs Music: Wow I really like Shiri! It's definitely unique!

@Danizaur: Im excited for Hunter to be here but in Michigan we have really harsh winters. I fear being snowed in or something.

@Mrs Music: I wish it was spring here. I like Shiri. Its rather cute =)

@littleblessings: Seriously, I would trade with you in a hot second! I live in the tropics in Australia and it is hotter than f'ing blazes here all year round. We're just coming out of 'winter' where the high temp every day is 30-35 Celsius (86-95 Fahrenheit) and now we're entering summer where our temps are slightly warmer but the humidity skyrockets. I took LO for a walk this morning at 7:30 am and the temperature was already 88 F with 75% humidity. I hate, hate, HATE hot weather! I'm from Chicago originally so I know cold winters and I miss them!

@Mrs Music: Oh my gosh, where in Oz are you that it's 7 degrees (45 Fahrenheit for the US bees)?!? That sounds so heavenly to me! I know you told me already but I've forgotten, is it Perth?

  37. Mrs Music

    cherry / 209 posts

@Ree723: Melbourne.. I would gladly trade you for the hot weather. You can take the girl out of Darwin...

I am so bored at work right now... the only thing making it bearable is that LO (or peanut as we affectionately call it) is moving around like crazy... I even have a little emoticon to show my husband when it does (we work in the same company and have internal messenger)

@Mrs Music: Bahahahaha I love it!

In Kentucky we get harsh winters...not as bad as michigan, but in the Appalachia we are ALL hills. We live on top of a mountain basically. Driving in the snow is super dangerous.

  39. Ree723

    grapefruit / 4819 posts

@Mrs Music: I'm sorry, I should have remembered that as we've basically traded! I used to live in Melbourne when I originally moved to Australia, although lived in QLD predominantly after that, and you of course are originally from Darwin. I'll try to keep my whinging about the weather to a minimum, although I make no promises as it gets hotter and stickier whilst I'm getting more and more pregnant! love your little emoticon to show your baby moving - too cute!
