@Danizaur: yay for 2 week appts my appt is on Thursday just a little check up and then next week the 26th we have an US I'm so ready to see my baby again.
It's funny being pregnant for your birthday I almost forgot it's almost that time and yesterday for some reason it hit me my birthday is next Sunday the 29th and this the first time I kind of thought about it I'll be 24 still young but wow 25 round the corner now lol.
Last night was me and DH first birthing class but it was just for baby basic care prep which I found very interesting and informative we actually found out something we didn't know so it was helpful. The actual birthing classes don't start til jan 9th-30th and then we finish up on feb 6th with the breastfeeding class we're so excited and ready. After class last night DH said it really made him forgot everything that's going on and think wow our son is almost here

Appt went good. One of my drs patients went into labor so I waited FOREVER. Nothing to report. All is well. Go back 1-2-14 for an ultrasound. Yay!!

@lavender: Haha, no way. Well hey there neighbour! Glad you've heard good things about them. I was so sad to leave the group we were with in Maine, and loved that hospital too...but this is so much less stress, which is definitely a good thing. Hope you're staying warm in this delightful weather we're having.
@Honeygold89: I was so sorry to read about what you are going through re your step-daughter. Sounds immensely stressful for all involved - her mother sounds certifiable. I hope things resolve and get better asap. So sad BUT, I was really happy to read that the birthing class and focusing on the positives is helping you and your DH - so sweet that your son is "helping" his daddy before he even arrives.

@OldEnglandMama: thanks and believe me she is the children and families man say they're definitely going to evaluate her and she can't refuse them. But yeah that's really just they way we are we try to focus on the positive and it really is cool to feel like DH and Noah are bonding already

Caught a small bug. Yuck. Congested and sneezy and a sore throat. Now I have a headache too!
Just feel like laying in bed but my house is a wreck.
DH is getting tired of picking up the slack. I'm starting to feel guilty too.

Most women want their moms in the room when they deliver their children. My mother informed me last night that she doesn't want to be in the room because she doesn't want me to have this baby. She has "more important" things to do. I've been crying ever since. Don't think I have ever been more hurt in my life!

@littleblessings: whoa! What a cow. Puts our family drama into perspective. I'm very lucky - even though my mum passed away, my Aunty has agreed to be with us as our additional support person. Is there anyone else you would feel comfortable asking?
cherry / 212 posts
@littleblessings: Oh no! That's terrible and so callous of her. I hope you have someone to be with you. Sending you hugs.
I don't actually want anyone except the medical team and my DH in the room. But I would be extremely hurt if my mum said something like that to me. Does she realise how upset you are?
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@littleblessings: How awful! You definitely don't need her there...or in your life whatsoever.
pear / 1739 posts
@SweetMamaM: I have asked my step mom to replace her and she said yes without hesitating. It won't be the same though.
@OldEnglandMama: Thank you!
@Danizaur: Yeah, I am seeing this more and more as time goes on. When I was 8 Mos pregnant with DD my mother beat me with a DVD case so hard that my face was bleeding. I called the cops but they did nothing. Once the apartments call she will be lucky to see me or the kids ever again. =/ Sad but for their safety I have to do it.

@littleblessings: I don't blame you. It's a sad situation but the best thing you can do is to cut yourself off. You'll be much happier for it.
cherry / 209 posts
@littleblessings: That's horrible. I find it sad that at one of the most exciting times of our lives sometimes its the people we would expect will be the happiest that give us the most heartache.

@Danizaur: Well I am not gonna let my daughter get spoiled by my mother and have my son shunned. My mom wanted me to have my daughter. I don't know why she doesn't want me to have my son. If she doesn't want one of us then she won't get any of us. We are a package deal.
@Mrs Music: I just thank God for this support group, my step mom, my fiance and my friends. They all support me. I can still be excited with the support I have.
My soon to be mother in law and step mom are throwing me a baby shower Jan 18th. My first baby shower. I can't wait!

Ugh, my body has just gone on strike today. No energy whatsoever. I've been madly decluttering the house this week in order to prepare for our move and I think bebe and body have just decided that what I need is a good solid day of lying down. Hopefully this means the little munchkin grows a bit more before our Monday evening scan!

Just catching up now!
@Honeygold89: I'm sorry you're having to deal with such tough family issues. I was a child protection social worker before becoming a SAHM and I can tell you that the one who loses the most in these situations is the child. I hope things improve and you and your DH are able to remain in her life as a stable influence.
@SweetMamaM: You are definitely not alone in finding that the waterworks come on quite frequently and with very little to no warning! I seem to cry at absolutely everything these days and reading the news every morning is nearly always guaranteed to bring on tears as there is bound to be something to upset me! You're on holidays now though, right? Enjoy, enjoy, ENJOY!
@Danizaur: Don't feel guilty, you're 7.5 months pregnant and keeping on top of all the housework can be a challenge with a big belly in the way and the third trimester exhaustion kicking in! Hope your bug goes away soon and you start feeling better!
@littleblessings: I'm sorry, sounds like a very tough relationship with your mom. I wouldn't stress about her not wanting to be in the room with you though - my mom made it clear from before I ever got pregnant that labour and delivery is not a spectator sport and she did not want to be present in the room when that was occurring. We're super close and have a great relationship but I was totally on board with that - the birth of our child is an experience for me and DH only (and medical personnel obviously!). So don't focus on that as I think it's pretty normal, but the abusive nature of your relationship is concerning. Are you still living with her?
nectarine / 2527 posts
@littleblessings: sorry to hear that me personally I just want DH with me both moms have to wait til after delivery they can stay for labor but not delivery. But honestly sounds like your mom is doing you a favor by not being in there since she's not very supportive and like they say it's no use to crying over spilled milk. I hope your step mom is all you need to make you feel better
@SweetMamaM: aw I was like that too yesterday but I think it's because of this cold I have. At my appt yesterday the baby was sleeping so I guess he was tired too but he was up all night/morning and even right now.
@Danizaur: I've been the same way since I visited my moms' daycare on Monday my nose has been stuffy and runny but I'm starting to feel better now I hope you are too. And don't feel too bad I let my DH know all the time I need his help but you don't have much longer and who knows nesting still might kick in for you then he'll think you're super women I've got so much cleaning and organizing done since it kicked in for me.
@Ree723: I know that's the one thing me and DH feel the worst about is that it's going to hurt her more then it hurts any of us but her mom so blind and dumb until she doesn't care she blinded by jealousy.
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@Honeygold89: I'm starting to feel better too! Not 100% but I did get off the couch and get some (key word SOME) cleaning done. glad you're feeling better too!

@Danizaur: that's good to hear being this far along its best to take it easy anyways and try to relax before the babies get here I know I do plus I'm done with classes until jan 13th but I'm only taking 2 eight week classes then so I'll be done march 9th and then no classes til aug so I'm just enjoying my off time til then

OMG over the last 2 hours I have managed to soak my shirt! My right side continuously leaked the whole time my FIL was over visiting and my left side leaked quite a bit as well. Luckily my shirt is black and you couldn't tell. Now it's all crusty where the colostrum has dried. Lol
I never wear a bra if I can help it but I may need to start wearing one at home so I can put nursing pads in.
clementine / 984 posts
I'm so bad at keeping up with this thread, it moves so quickly and I'm all about work, nap, eat, sleep these days. Bah!
@Danizaur: No fun! I'm just lazy and sit shirtless at home. DH laughs at how quickly I can walk in the front door and be naked in no time. LOL! Or I just wear an ugly shirt...I just HATE bras right now.
@littleblessings: Very sorry about your mom, but if she's being that sort of influence in your life, maybe it's best that she's chosen to step back a bit. Painful, but for the best, and you can just keep that distance she makes.
@SweetMamaM: I think our babes have the same idea. I swear, she's gotten HUGE these last 2 days. I woke up from a nap just now and swear she's even bigger than when I feel asleep. Haha!
cherry / 209 posts
@Danizaur: I totally get where you're coming from. I'm usually braless at home but have had to start wearing bras now even when sleeping to avoid leakage. Also have to wear bra pads at work. Leaked onto the bed sheet this morning on my husband's side (or what's left of it) of the bed. He was not impressed...

@littleblessings: wow, your mom is heartless. I'm so sorry! So glad you have other, loving family to step in. Don't let her get you down- her issues aren't your fault and aren't your responsibility.
33 weeks, baby is breech, so I've got 2-3 weeks to pray she flips, or I get to do an ECV. Luckily they're more successful when it isn't a first pregnancy. I asked the OB about body positioning to get baby to flip, she said it doesn't work, and all but 3-4% do end up flipping anyway. Fingers crossed because I really prefer no c-section. I will say after having a head down baby last time, breech babies are MUCH more uncomfortable to carry.

Trying to catch up.. I forget to check on our board sometimes and then get really overwhelmed by all of the posts on here!
@littleblessings: I'm sorry that your mother is being like that. That just seriously sucks. You are right to say that you and your family are a package deal. But on the bright side, YAY for your first shower in a couple weeks!
@erinpye: I hope she turns!!! FX for that.
AFM, I had an appointment last week and found out that I don't get another U/S unless I go over 40 weeks. I was a bit surprised about that but don't have a problem with it as it cuts down any possibility that we might accidentally find out the sex before the birth. 34 weeks and 1 day today and my baby shower is Sunday! So excited!!
pear / 1743 posts
@Danizaur: haha I woke up from my nap and DHs like "What is that on your shirt?"... First ever leakage
@indi: I swear that this LO is going through a serious fatten up phase!
Had our growth scan yesterday - bebe is growing absolutely fine. A little bit nervous that the head is measuring larger than average (for the second time)... I have a big head so not stunningly surprised but that's going to make things a little ouchy come delivery time!

@erinpye: I hope baby turns before it's time
@MrsKoala: yay for your shower I hope it's fun mines is 2 weeks away and I'm so excited and ready since DH doesn't want me to buy anything else until after the shower lol
@SweetMamaM: yay for your scan I'm so ready for mines to see how much baby has grown its Thursday morning!
So as for me the attorney called this morning to let me know that no charges will be filed against me since the state and DH ex didn't have enough evidence to prove any "child abuse" or wrong doing on my behalf so that's done and over with thank god. But sadly we're still keeping our distance unless children and families deems his ex unfit and takes and give us custody because we're both peaceful and try to be as drama free as possible plus we know she won't stop until she makes us miserable and I definitely don't want to go through anything like that again.
With my bday coming up Sunday DH really wants me do do something so he's taking me to Orlando (2hr drive) for the weekend for a mini getaway and so we can go to our fav seafood place so that should be nice plus it'll serve as a vaca before baby arrives.

@Honeygold89: Good that they aren't pressing charges! That whole situation is just sucky. I'm sorry. I hope it works out well.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Danizaur: yeah it is but at least the legal part is done and I don't have to worry about that or being charged because that's a felony and I couldn't have even imagine having a recorded let along a felony for something I really didn't do so I'm very happy right now and you know it actually is working out for the best so far and we have faith that it will continue to do so

So I had my growth scan yesterday and Noah is right on track he measured 33week exact he's 4lbs 14oz by since my last scan six weeks ago he has decided to flip on me so now he's breech and I'm hoping he turns back soon I couldn't believe it he had been head down since my 12 week scan and just decided to flip all of a sudden but everything is still good the doc wasn't concerned so I'm not worried my next scan is 22nd but I go to see my MW next Thursday. I'm so excited we're all so close now and we'll be finding out what all the TG babies are can't wait

Hope everyone had great holidays. Just got power back on here after it being out for an entire week. Anybody else getting that lovely head grinding on their pelvis? I know I am =/

@Honeygold89: OMG I can't believe he flipped!
Quick check in! 32 weeks and 2 days here. Had to call the hospital last week because I felt really off. My body felt rundown and I was having trouble breathing and some nausea along with tiredness and pain. The hospital nurses told me to relax and rest and didn't sound concerned. I woke up the next morning feeling perfectly fine so that's good!
Got my big 3D ultrasound coming up on Thursday (can't wait!!) and maternity pictures on Saturday! I'm not looking forward to the pictures too much...just not too secure with my pregnant body and I'm horrible at picking out clothes for pictures! I'm trying to get over it though. The Saturday after that is the baby shower.
My sister has got some awesome decorations ordered. I can't wait to see it all come together. I'm ready to get this all done so I can focus on T's arrival!
clementine / 984 posts
@Honeygold89: Oh, I can't believe he switched after so long! I was jealous of you having him head down so early, lol! I hope he goes back for you.
@erinpye: I still like to rock around and do some hands/knees and inversion stuff, just so I can pretend like I'm helping. Haha. Mine's head down, but posterior (as of a few weeks ago). I hope your LO settles in for you!
@MrsKoala: I do the same, and then I have PAGES to read. Bah! We won't have another U/S either, unless something comes up, so it'll sure be fun to see LO once she's here compared to the 3D we saw a few weeks ago.
@SweetMamaM: She's gotten stronger now, too! I swear, those little flutters are now *BING* *BANG* *POW* old school batman style. Eek!
@littleblessings: Haven't had that joy yet, but I did get some lovely cervix knocks today. So far I had escaped, darn it!
@Danizaur: 32 and 4 days here, and we have pictures next Saturday, too! I'm sure I'll post a few outfit ideas for some help, haha. You should share yours, too! I love seeing what everyone plans to wear. Glad you're feeling better, and I hope your 3D is fun! I'm with you, I want to get the nursery set up and done and be just waiting patiently for wee one…I feel like there's still so much to do between finishing that up, pictures, baby shower, etc.
My latest adventure was sitting on the end of the bed folding laundry when DH came in to lay down and crawled right in the same spot….BOOM! Haha, we broke the bed, and not by doing anything exciting. LOL. It's an old, antique bed I got from my grandparents, so we just had to take off the mattress and box spring and such and screw the runners back into the frame so they'd hold up the slats again. Ugh! Nothing like breaking your bed to remind yourself you've gained 30+ pounds. Hahah!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
@indi: Thanks! I will! I'm doing mine at home in a casual/lifestyle style, so I thought finding pretty clothes that are still casual would be easy. But I didn't realize I've outgrown even my biggest shirts! I've already asked my sister for help. She's good at clothes and just recently had a baby so she should have some left over.

@littleblessings: wow a whole week well at least the lights are back on now and I unfortunly haven't felt it since he decided to flip on me ugh lol.
@Danizaur: I know I was upset with his little butt lol. 3d US are fun and I feel like you anout the pictures I set mines for feb 1st and trying to find something now so I'll have it together but I have no clue. My shower is the 11th and I'm so ready I'm a little excited and then like you say all that will be left is waiting for baby to arrive.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@indi: I know he had me thinking he was going to be easy on me but I hope he flips back soon or we're going to have some problems lol.
@MrsKoala: hope your baby shower was fun today

Hi ladies! Just popping in to say hi and miss you all! I haven't been following along as much as I used to but I pop in and read up on you every few weeks. But I do look at the bump pics as soon as they're added I can't resist!
You gals are really in the home stretch! So exciting!!! Can't wait to start "meeting" these February babies! xoxo
