@SweetiePie: Nice to hear from you again. I hope you are doing good.
As of January 9th the doctor won't try to stop labor if it starts. My nerves have kicked in. So nervous!

Anyone know if you can post face pics on here? I made a collage for facebook with DS pic in the center and then mine and DH on the outside. I kinda want to see who you guys say he looks like.

@Honeygold89: So glad that nightmare ended up okay in the end! Thanks for checking in on the baby shower! It was awesome. My sisters went above and beyond and did such a great job! And Happy Birthday to you!!!!!
@SweetiePie: Thanks for checking in on us! Hope you are doing well. I'm following along on your IVF journey and am so very hopeful for you!

@SweetiePie: you know we love when you drop by we're all rooting for you!
@littleblessings: nice bump. I hope baby stays put until your due date and you can post face pics if you want it's just most people don't post unless it's gold so they can keep their amenity so it's up to you.
@MrsKoala: that's great the shower went well I'm so excited for mines next week because DH say we can go shopping for whatever else we'll need after that and I just love shopping for my baby lol and thanks I really did have a great birthday yesterday it was full of love and LO was so active with all his kicking, moving, and hiccups I loved it plus DH spoiled me all weekend it was nice

@indi: haha, oh no about the bed!
@MrsKoala: so good that you enjoyed the baby shower! One of the extra benefits I found from mine is that we then knew what gaps we had left to fill. Pretty much there now, although I am actually a bit nervous that we don't have enough clothes! I don't want to overbuy in Newborn if bebe doesn't stay that size for long!
@littleblessings: you certainly can show face pics, most of us just choose not to as this is not a private board.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@SweetMamaM: You are so right about knowing now what we have left to get! I feel much more relieved now that I can go shop and really have everything ready fairly soon! I bet you will be fine in terms of clothes! We have enough gender neutral outfits/onesies for the first 3 weeks and I think we might be getting some sleepers from a friend whose baby will grow out of 0-3 month clothing by the time ours is born.

@littleblessings: Aww, how fun to compare!
@SweetiePie: Nice to see you! I'm waiting for the new crop of wee ones, too!
@littleblessings: Like photos of our faces? Totally okay if you're comfortable with that. Plus you could delete it before the time is up (3 hours?). Or is face pic some sort of app I don't know about? LOL.
@MrsKoala: Glad you had a fun shower! Was there a cute theme? What was your favorite gift?
@Honeygold89: Yay for a great birthday! Aren't those baby hiccups the silliest?! Such an odd feeling.
@SweetMamaM: DH was having a blast making every giant preggo joke in the world, but my whole family was teasing him for being the one that broke the bed (since I was sitting there first). Goofs all around.
@MrsKoala: My mom and her friends and my MIL and her family have decided they want to hold their showers AFTER LO. So now we have to pick whether to wait 8-10 weeks to see what else we get for major things or if we should just go ahead and buy stuff. Bah! I'm thinking the stroller and such can wait, but obviously now we're springing for the carseats that the grandmas would've purchased.
I fell on the ice today, aaaand landed on little one. Since I was working in our other town's office, my OB had me go in for a doppler there and THEN come back home and spend an hour and a half in the labor ward being monitored. On the plus side, I got a much needed nap, got a semi-tour of the labor ward and LDRP rooms, and found out that their policies seem to be pretty in line with what we're shooting for. Baby and I are fine, but man, that was NOT fun, and now I have a half a day of work to make up.
My boss is awesome, though, and called me at home at 7 to make sure the wee one and I were okay since he was so worried. Adorable.

@indi: hiccups really are weird and DH laid his head on my belly while he was having them and actually could feel them but then he was like how long is he going to have them drink some water lol. And oh no glad you and baby are ok I know it have to be scary be careful out there with the ice
grapefruit / 4554 posts
@indi: glad to hear you ate doing OK!
@Honeygold89: I used to get baby hiccups with dd#1 all the time... haven't felt them with this baby yet
Baby girl has been keeping me up at night with some painful/annoying Braxton Hicks contractions... just let me sleep LOL
On today's agenda: finally painting the nursery and a lunch date as DH and I are off and DD's daycare is open

Anybody eager to have their LO's? My friend made these cookies last night and today she is in the hospital dilated to a 5. Whoot! They don't turn out like the picture on the website. They look much better and tastier. http://www.babycenter.com/209_jump-start-your-labor-cookies_75330063_671.bc There is the site and here are the cookies my friend made. I want some now just cuz they look good. Don't want the labor just yet thought. lol

@littleblessings: I am getting so ready! I don't know what has gotten into me lately. I don't remember nesting with DS, but I cleaned our brick floors in the sunroom with vineagar yesterday and have been fervently getting DS's room ready and DD's little area in our bedroom ready.
I am on my last vacation from work before the baby arrives, so I just know it will fly by! Dating sono in a week and can't wait to see what my EDD is looking like!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
I'm incredibly ready for LO to arrive! Emotionally anyway. We haven't had the baby shower yet so I only have about half of the baby stuff I need!
I'll be 33 weeks on Friday and we get our last ultrasound on Thursday. I can't wait. I can't believe its so close.
cantaloupe / 6869 posts
@indi: There really wasn't a theme but the colors were the ones we are using in the nursery. Gray, teal, and a little bit of yellow. It was really cute! I can't believe that they are doing your showers after LO arrives! That's kind of a bummer. I get doing that for later children but for the first, that seems a little weird! I'm also glad that you and LO are doing well after that fall! I can't imagine falling on ice onto my stomach. That just sounds horrible.
@lavender: Your agenda today sounds like heaven!
@littleblessings: I'm sooo not ready for baby yet although my husband has made a couple jokes about going into labor today as it is his birthday. I'd like baby to cook a bit longer. Any time after Jan 25 would be fine with me.

Warning: Do not use lotions with peppermint oil in them. Made that mistake. It causes contractions. Thank God I got most of it washed off before it was absorbed but I was in the worst pain possible last night. I seriously thought DS was gonna come and that thought terrified me.

I'm 32 weeks today and I feel like a beached whale. I'm so uncomfortable like my skin is going to burst and she is so big and moving around in the most uncomfortable of ways... And I have an ever growing number of stretch marks that I've lost count of. Wish I didn't have to go back to work tomorrow as walking makes me feel so heavy... Sorry just needed to rant...
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Mrs Music: aw it'll be over soon I feel you on the stretch marks and walking around I start to feel so heavy but 34 weeks tomorrow so I know it won't last much longer

Who else is super cranky? I got like this at the end of my first pregnancy, but later on. I'm only 34+4 and SO tired and annoyed at the world! Going for an appt. tomorrow and we'll see if baby has turned. If not, I'll end up being a Jan. mama for sure.

How early is too early to begin packing your hospital bag?
Also does anyone else find their LO is super active... I mean... my LO never seems to stop moving! My mum reckons its because I ate crabs before I realised I was pregnant (apparently its a Chinese superstition that eating crabs makes your baby active)... no idea if this is true but I swear the bigger she gets the more she moves... which is funny cos all those pregnancy apps says she should be slowing down...

@Honeygold89: Hehe, I giggle and think about drinking water every time now.
@lavender: Thanks! It was definitely no fun to be so nervous.
@littleblessings: I'll have to check those out later! Not quite yet. @matador84: So…I've got this apartment…and no nesting instinct. I'm all for magical fairies coming to clean.
@Danizaur: Ultrasound tomorrow! Are you super excited?!
@MrsKoala: I talked with my mom's/our friends on NYE and it's now been moved up to Jan 19 (YAY!). MIL's side is still up in the air, but after learning I was bummed, DH said he'll "straighten things out" if I'd like him to. What a good husband. And yes, that fall SUCKED, but thankfully we're all good and LO is still wiggling ALL OVER! Haha.
@littleblessings: Oh, Lordy! Glad you were able to get the most of it off. I haven't had much for BH's, so I can't imagine a night of early contractions!
@Danizaur: I was just looking for the list, thanks for reposting! So soon for some of us!!
@erinpye: If I'm hungry, watch out, world! And my tolerance for stupidity or BS has dropped significantly, which sucks as an attorney b/c I reaaaally have to bite my tongue some times. LOL.
@Danizaur: Can I be on your javelin throwing (at people) team?
@Mrs Music: Yup! Glad it's not just me…although, we were on vacation to OBX the week we found out and I ate crab cakes daily until the BFP, so your mum may be onto something. But yes, she's bigger, taking up more space, and kicking and wiggling more. Eesh. No sleep for this mama anymore. DH said he's jealous because he can't wait to wake up with her…let's see what he says in March.
Hehhe. And we're packing our bags with necessities by week 34, just in case. I don't want to have some sort of early labor issues and have to try to get DH to find this or that or go wash things while I'm already surprised and stressed. Once I'm at 37, it'll be a more full bag (shampoo, razor, etc, things I won't need in a regular travel bag anymore because I doubt we'll be going out traveling far at that point).

@erinpye: FX that baby has turned!! If not, you will get to meet baby girl so soon!!
@indi: Yay!! I'm so glad that they changed it so that you can at least have one before baby! That will be a huge weight off of your mind, I'm sure. Glad to hear that LO is doing well and wiggling like crazy. I'm loving the movement right now as it is so much more pronounced. My husband was in awe the other day because he felt like he could actually grab hold of baby's foot. His face was priceless and adorable.
Nursery should be finished by this weekend. DH is making me pack the hospital bag next week.... HOLY CRAPOLA.

Quick update while we wait on the dr. He weighs approximately 5lbs 4oz. Heart rate is 136bpm which is lower than normal. BP and everything is good for momma. I'm interested in seeing what the dr says about his weight. We still have 7 weeks left!!! I'll post another update when I get home about what the doc says.
Oh and here is his handsome face.
pear / 1743 posts
@erinpye: Cranky here also... So hard with a week to go until our move and I just have no energy half the time. Poor DH is copping it a bit.
@Danizaur: thanks for the list update! My midwife has said she's happy for me to birth any time in February - bebe has been in position and partially descended the last couple of appointments but I'm kind of hoping to go until at least 39 weeks! Looking forward to your ultrasound update on what your doc says.
@Mrs Music: we're in the process of packing the house so I have already packed LO's hospital bag and will probably pack mine in the next week. I thought my LO was slowing down and then yesterday I was getting the internal beat down!
cantaloupe / 6692 posts
Doc is not concerned about his weight at all. I'm still on track for a no earlier than 39 week vaginal birth which is what I want. lol he said he will probably do another ultrasound at 38 weeks to check his size again and we will go from there. He's a big baby but not too big.
All of the other things looked good. Fluid and his measurements are good. And he is HEAD DOWN! Woo!
cherry / 209 posts
@Danizaur: 5 pounds is good.. I'm praying for my LO to be between 5-6 pounds... I'm sick of people exclaiming that I'm huge when they realise I'm not due till the end of Feb and then asking me if I'm sure I'm not having twins...

@erinpye: I hope baby has turned for you my MW told me two things to try before my next us on the 15th to try to get him to turn back I hope one of them works.
@Mrs Music: I just packed my bag today 34 weeks. And I have his bag halfway packed but I'm using the baby bag for him I'm just waiting on the baby shower to finish his bag since I haven't really brought any clothes yet since everybody say wait til after the shower. I don't remember eating crabs before my but he is definitely active when he wants to be but after being so active one day it's like he has to sleep it off the next I tell DH he partied too hard the day before and has to rest lol.
@indi: I think about the water too now every time lol. Yay for it being moved up I think it's better to have a shower before the baby so you know what all you and DH will need to get before baby comes.
@MrsKoala: I love to see DH face when he "plays " with Noah it really is priceless septic all since it's both of our first time ever experiencing pregnancy at this stage.
@Danizaur: omg he is so freaking cute!!!! Such an adorable precious face glad everything is good and yay for another us and a head down baby I found out today that my appt on the 15th at the hospital they'll be monitoring his HR plus an us to check the fluids and they'll be doing that every week til I go into labor and if he doesn't turn soon by the us they'll be watching that too so I feel that's a bonus I'll see him every week after 36 weeks but my next growth scan is the 22nd.
@SweetMamaM: I hope the move isn't too hard and stressful on you
clementine / 984 posts
@MrsKoala: @Honeygold89: DH called today and said "it is done." *Cue confused face on my part.* LOL. I guess he talked to his mom without me asking and basically called her out when she said that I was the one that wanted a shower after baby gets here. He told her "no, she tried to bring it up 2 or 3 times, and you said you wanted it after." Glad I wasn't there for that conversation, but it sounds like it's all resolved now. Granted, I'll be HUGE by the time we have the in-law shower in my 37th week, but better to be just me feeling huge and uncomfortable than having LO around a ton of strangers during flu season before her shots.
@Danizaur: Such a cutie! Our 3Ds look so crazy/alien-y, but you've got frame-worhty cuteness right there!
@Mrs Music: I know, right?! Do they think that helps you in anyway? People do not think sometimes.
@erinpye: Woohoo! I hope she's nice and cozy (and that you are, too!).

@erinpye: yay I hope my baby does the same and real soon!
@indi: that's great yay for super DH to the rescue lol
