@Danizaur: Glad baby gets a little more time to bake.

@littleblessings: That's great it won't be long now!

@Mrs Music: Yay for baby flipping I know I was glad when they told me yesterday that my LO was back heads down and have fun at your shower.

@MrsKoala: Yay for baby room being done hope to see the pictures soon. We got our room finished too except for getting a tv which is a big deal we're not really worried about that yet until we start to spend more time in there after babys like a month or two.

At my appt today I got the strep b group testing done which she say she'll tell me the results at my appt next week which is fine, but she asked me if I wanted her to check my cervix (36 weeks today) which I was like sure your already up there lol, when she did she say baby is sitting very low she could feel his head and she also said that my cervix was starting to thin and was soft. She was surprised because she say for this to be my first baby and progressing this good this early she feels that I might not make it to my due date and said if I was to go into labor they wouldn't stop it so we're excited about that. I have been having mild non painful contractions a few times a day so I hope baby don't go over due 40 weeks will be fine with me.

@Honeygold89: Sounds like a great appointment and nice to know that your baby may be here earlier than you think!

    Hospital bag is packed!
    Birth plan is printed
Nursery is 90% done. Needs a few more touches but if we brought him home today we would have everything we need put away and organized.
Baby clothes are all washed and put away
All our baby items are put together and ready.

Okay I've got 5 more weeks. Now that I'm ready I can guarantee you I will not deliver early. Lol

@Honeygold89: Sounds like you had a great appointment!

@Danizaur: Yeah for being ready for LO's arrival

For me, I am battling yet another cold (yay for daycare colds!). I've been up for the past couple of nights till at least 2 am coughing and peeing (sometimes both at the same time!).

Picking up our dresser this weekend for the nursery (I sound like a broken record) and hopefully kicking this stupid cough.

@Danizaur: sounds like us, we're about 90% sorted here and could definitely bring home a baby at this point. I'm hoping for more like 4 weeks (baby arriving at 39 weeks or so) but am resigned to the fact it could be up to 7!
@lavender: hope you are on the mend soon!
@Honeygold89: I know what you mean about being quite happy to not go over 40 weeks! I'm definitely at the "over it" point with fatigue and groin pain!

We had our maternity shoot yesterday... It was really good to have a time with hubby just to document these last few weeks as a twosome. Almost as good was spending the little bit of money to get myself "photo-ready" - getting brows professionally done, hair blow-waved - and putting on a full face of make-up. I hadn't really done that since finishing work and it did make me feel a bit better about myself.

Had my baby shower on Saturday, it was amazing. I will share some photos once I had a chance to go through them (my friend went crazy with my camera and took like 500 photos!!). Got heaps of girl clothes... lots of pink... I kept thinking "you better be a girl"... imagine if the ultrasound tech was wrong! (he seemed super disinterested when he was doing our scan).

    9 days of work left!

Still having constant false labor!! It's getting really annoying. Lol. It'll get intense for a while and have me nervous and timing my contractions...but it'll all fade away as soon as I start timing. Grr.

This is not gonna stop until I deliver. I rarely go an hour without a contraction and normally I have at least 3-4 an hour.

@Mrs Music: congrats on being almost done at work! Can't wait to see the shower pics

@raintreebee: They range from just light tightening to extreme tightening with sharp pains and pelvic pressure that I have to breathe through. I could get any kind in between at any time. Very irregular.

@MrsKoala: @lavender: yes it was a great appt I was so excited leaving there now I just hope it's the same story Thursday when I go

@SweetMamaM: I know it felt nice to get pampered a lil for your shoot we all need it from time to time, I hope your pictures turned out great. I can honestly say I'm not over it I just ready and soooo excited to meet my little man. This pregnancy thing hasn't been too bad on me especially since I didn't/ haven't gain much weight so I don't feel uncomfortable in that department but my patience definitely won't let me make it pass 40 weeks lol

@Mrs Music: yay for a great baby shower I can't wait to see some of your pictures.

@Danizaur: aw I'm kinda in the same boat as you I have been having a some too but nothing that worries me just a couple every few hours but since my appt last Thursday I have had some back contractions too nothing painful they're just a little uncomfortable when they happen. Have you plug started to come out I have seen bits and pieces of mines every few days but nothing big?

  12. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

@Mrs Music: sounds amazing! I hope your baby is a girl too, or else you don't mind dressing your boy in pink! From what I hear, most ultrasound errors are the other way round... They mistake the cord or a hand between the legs as something it is not
@Danizaur: that must be so annoying! I get the occasional Braxton Hicks (maybe one or two a day) so I can't imagine what it would be like constantly.
@Honeygold89: I haven't put on a lot of weight either (8 kilos/17 lbs) but I've never really had a belly, despite being overweight. I think it's the pressure on my back from carrying this front weight that is making me uncomfortable. That and the "lightning groin" LOL.

@SweetMamaM: Yay for feeling beautiful! I'm sure your pics will be awesome!

@Mrs Music: Glad you had a great shower and can't wait to see the pics!

@Danizaur: This false labor sounds like a nightmare! I'm so sorry that you are going through this! I got my first very mild contractions last night but they sound like nothing compared to yours. Hang in there!

@Honeygold89: I think the spotting I had on Wednesday that prompted me to go to the hospital was part of it...but none since then!

@SweetMamaM: @MrsKoala: Definitely annoying!! My wild LO is also doing backflips all the time so my belly is constantly being abused. Lol!! It's not too painful though. Luckily I get to just stay home and rest through them. I've basically told DH that I can't do any housework anymore. It's just too much to be on my feet more than 20 minutes at a time. Makes me sound like a lame-o.

  15. MrsKoala

    cantaloupe / 6869 posts

@Danizaur: Totally understand not being able to do housework. The only thing I do now is the dishes. I feel bad for my husband but that's how it goes!

  16. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@SweetMamaM: I haven't even really felt pressure on my back but my tailbone and back does still feel sore from time to time but I found that when it does I just take a hot bath with some rubbing alcohol in it and it goes away. Good job with the weight I'm only 3lbs up my prepregnancy weight but I was also over weight to begin with anyway plus I lost weight in the 1st and 2nd tri.

@Danizaur: oh yeah probably was parts of it. The pieces I seen from myself were kind of yellowish but clear.

  17. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

@Danizaur: I barely do anything around the house anymore, especially seeing the midwife said that moving house was probably a factor in baby turning breech. I might do some dishes or a load of laundry but our dryer is in our basement so I can't even do that LOL. I do a lot of pottering and a lot of lying on the couch lol.

Growth scan and checking if baby is still breech in just over two hours! I feel like such a dummy for not being able to work it out just by belly feel!

  18. SweetMamaM

    @SweetMamaM: YAY!

Had an u/s today. Baby looks great, fluid levels are great (they were low at the end with my daughter). Doc will induce me on the 6th if I'm still pregnant, which means 16 days or fewer!

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@SweetMamaM: yay for baby turning. I was like you I couldn't tell if my baby had turned either by feel so don't feel bad.

    @erinpye: yay that's soooo close!

    @SweetMamaM: Yay!

@erinpye: Just looked on the calendar and that's 2 weeks away.

I can't believe we are already talking L&D!

I am still fighting this nasty cold. I've literally gone through a bottle of Robotussin and my OB gave me a script of Robutussin w/codeine. I'll be heading over to my PCP if I'm not better by Friday- the OB was concerned that I might be developing pneumonia....and that is all I need to deal with right now! So fingers crossed this cough goes away soon.

I haven't had a ton of time to pop in! I am 95% sure I'll have a feb baby over March. Huge and have dropped but was having mild irregular contractions. Haven't called dr but have an appt next Thursday and will see what he says. I was 1 cm dilated at my 36 week appt with my first, so we will see!

Went to hospital today for fetal monitoring because I have had a persistent headache since Monday. Everything seems to be fine and I don't have pre e but I still have a headache unfortunately.

    @SweetMamaM: YAY!

@erinpye: Wow! I can't believe how close that is!

@lavender: Hope you feel better. I'm still stuck with my cold. I can't get the congestion to go away. I can't imagine how cruddy the coughing must be. Hope you don't have pneumonia! Yuck!

@matador84: Yay! My baby has dropped as well. Still having those contractions too. I think he will be here soon. My 36 week appointment is tomorrow so I'm interested to see if I'm dilated any!

@Mrs Music: Yuck. At least it's not pre e. Pregnancy is hard enough on your body without throwing a headache into the mix. Hope you get a lot of rest.

Still contracting often! They haven't been painful the last couple of days though. Other than that, no update.

I have my 36 week appointment tomorrow. I'm interested in seeing if I'm dilated any. I'm guessing not though. For some reason, even though I've been having contractions, I have a feeling this baby will come before his due date, but not much earlier. Maybe like a week early or so. We will see!

Oh I had about 4 or 5 friends/acquaintances that were due within a month of me and in the past week they have ALL had their babies!

I told DH I was all alone in the pregnant world now, and he said "No! Remember L (wife of our friend) hasn't had her baby yet!" L was due 2 days before me.

Well I woke up this morning and checked FB to find that L had her baby last night. Now I am pregnant and alone. Hahaha! Except for you ladies.

Also on my FB feed, my friend A took her LO to her 1 week check up, my friend K is recovering great from her c section, and my friend S took her little boy home from the hospital today. Lol this past week was the full moon...

@Danizaur: my Chiro started talking today about delivery... I think with how far bebe is in my pelvis, she's thinking I might go early... I kind of hope so! My friend due two weeks before me is getting induced this weekend and two out of the six antenatal group mums have had their babies - I want mine to be here too! Has to wait until at least the start of Feb though, our birthing centre won't deliver until 37 weeks.

@matador84: hope your appt next week holds good news I have one in the morning and am kind of hoping my MW tells me I'm atleast a little dilated but if not I won't be too disappointed since I really want baby to wait til after feb 6th when I'll be done with my online math class lol.

@Danizaur: I feel the same as you I don't think he'll come too much earlier then a week before he's due.

I'm excited to see which one of us will be the first to deliver of he feb mamas and to see all the TG babies.

We had our last growth US today and he was 6lbs 9oz and the nice tech that I liked did it so we got some free 4d pics she calls them "fun pics" lol but he is so cute and has his dads lips, nose, and cubby cheeks. Here's a few and he was looking so mean though, probably cause the tech woke him up by putting a little thing that makes a funny noise on my belly lol.

@Honeygold89: look at those lips, so pouty!

My LO is normally quite active but today its been non stop and alot more painful... I'm wondering can too much movement be a sign of fetal distress or could it be because I started taking panadol for my headaches?

  33. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@Mrs Music: lol yep they're like his daddy's. I don't think too much moving is a bad thing because I've had those days too where I think the same thing but if you feel uncomfortable with it contact your doctor it never hurts.

  34. Mrs Music

    cherry / 209 posts

@Honeygold89: when I mean hurts.. its very uncomfortable for me... normally she never does it in this way.

  35. Honeygold89

    nectarine / 2527 posts

@Mrs Music: it could be that's she has gotten bigger or just the position she's in right now like I say sometimes my lo is the same way he feels like he's trying to break out of my belly right now he's just jabbing his foot in the area of my belly button but it really don't hurt as much as it is uncomfortable just a little

I'm over it. DONE with being pregnant. I have now been sicker than a dog through 2 pregnancies in 21 months and I'm just done. I know at the most, I have 2 weeks left, but God, I'm tired of being so sick, huge, immobile, and the reflux can simply go to hell! On a happy note, I have a prenatal massage to look forward to tomorrow! Anyone else as cranky and over it as I am?
