@erinpye: Have you gotten a prenatal massage before? I got one on Sunday for the first time and it reeeeeeally helped. It took so much tension out of my back, and I still feel better four days later. I signed up to get one once per week until my due date! I hope yours helps as much as mine did. I am due in 4.5 weeks though, so you are a bit further along.
Oh, and the massage place had a table that let me lay face down with a cutout for my belly. Normally I am a stomach sleeper so OMG was that ever bliss. I could have just laid there without the massage and been almost as relaxed!!!

@littleblessings: go mama go! Good luck and we're all thinking of you!

Had my 37 week appt this morning and baby is sitting very low and I'm 50% effaced and 2cm dilated so she still thinks he'll come early so we'll see!

@Honeygold89: Woo hoo! Headed to my 36 week appointment today. I hope I get similar news!

@littleblessings: good luck! It's all becoming a heck of a lot more real!
@ElbieKay: @erinpye: my chiropractor also has these belly cushions - I contemplated stealing them yesterday. So comfy!
@Honeygold89: great news! I'm actually not sure when my midwife starts doing pelvic examinations but my baby is definitely sitting quite low so it would be interesting to know how far I was effaced.
@Danizaur: hope you get the news you want! I don't have my next appointment until next week... Will be interesting what she says.
Had one heck of a painful contraction last night but it was a one-off. I'd just been in the bathroom and was frozen in the middle of our hallway for a moment... As much as I want baby to arrive, it needs to wait at least another week and a half so that I can deliver in our local birthing centre!

Not dilated or thinned any! Which that's okay. I still got plenty of time for baby to cook.

@littleblessings: ooh Congrats and good luck!!
@ElbieKay: The hospital recommended I get another pregnancy massage to help with my headaches too.

Does everyone have names picked out? We're thinking Charlie or Sadie. our LOs name right now is grace so I think both work with her name. Agree? Disagree? Originally our hearts were set on Molly but there's a family issue on that one.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Danizaur: aw yeah you still have plenty of time
@IcebergMom: we've had our name since we found out we were having a boy we're going with Noah Joshua. I like Charlie it sounds nice with grace.
cherry / 212 posts
@IcebergMom: Not exactly - we have shortlists and will probably pick when we see their little face. Love your choices - definitely both go with Grace.
pear / 1743 posts
@IcebergMom: I love Charlie Grace... Cute! We have short-lists of two names for both genders and we're sold on the middle name James for a boy and Jade for a girl (both have very specific family meaning)... Just have to wait now and see which name the baby suits when it arrives!
@Danizaur: I really thought with your consistent contractions you would be! Have they told you how engaged baby is in your pelvis?
My feet finally lost the war against swelling today... Boo I should be grateful I almost made it to 36 weeks without it.

@SweetMamaM: I am still edema-free but am dreading that. I will be 36w in two days. I also found my first stretch mark the other day. It's small. I am praying that the rest of my belly holds out, ugh!
My husband will be on the other end of the country for a business trip next week so this baby better also hold out a bit longer. He will be away from 36w1d until 36w5d. After that he is on lockdown!

@SweetMamaM: hehe I meant my little one right now is a grace. She is 2. Charlie would be a boy name for new baby and Sadie, the girls name.
@ElbieKay: no swelling Here yet either
pear / 1743 posts
@IcebergMom: oh... Duh... Baby brain here Charlie is a cute name for a boy too!
@ElbieKay: yeah our little one has to stay put until the 5th of Feb do deliver in our birthing centre but I'm good with whenever after that. I've only got teeny stretch marks in comparison to the ones I got in puberty, but I know they fade so I don't mind.

@SweetMamaM: Nope! Didn't say. At the hospital last week though when the nurse checked me she said she could feel his head.
nectarine / 2527 posts
@IcebergMom: like I say Charlie and Grace sounds cute together but Sadie to me doesn't really fit but it is still a cute name though
persimmon / 1295 posts
@Honeygold89: ouch! Lol I think it will be Sadie Elizabeth and our 2 year old is Grace Margaret. If their first names don't go maybe their middles will. I like old fashioned names.

Baby raintreebee born last night in a fast and furious, unmedicated, almost didn't make it to hospital labor. More to follow. All is well. Pack your bags ladies!!!

Gah I've missed so much going on!
@raintreebee: Congratulations!!
@littleblessings: Hope all went well!! Thinking of you!
@SweetMamaM: Still no swelling here and I hope it stays that way. I have at most 2.5 weeks left!!
@erinpye: Hope you had a lovely massage!
@Danizaur: I am shocked that you aren't dilated yet with all of your contractions!! What's going on body???

@MrsKoala: It's just being annoying. Lol putting me through all this for nothing.
They have decreased a lot the last couple of days though!

Hunter James was born at 5:17 pm yesterday. Weigh 6lbs 8ozs and was 21 inches long. Water broke at 3:30 in the morning. Labor was pretty good until he stopped it at like 9am. Waited til 12 for pitocin. Started epidural at 3. Started pushing at 5:16 and he was out in 4 pushes. Long labor but nice and easy delivery. Good luck February mamas. I'm gonna stick around to see how you all are doing!

@raintreebee: Congratulations!!! I can't wait to hear your birth story and am so thrilled your LO has arrived safely! Well done mama!
@littleblessings: Congrats, he's darling!

@IcebergMom: oh sorry didn't mean it to be mean but I like those names definitely with the middle names.
@raintreebee: aw yay congrats can't wait to hear the story. That's so exciting since you were due a day after me. Rest up mama
@littleblessings: yay congrats to you too he's so adorable
grapefruit / 4819 posts
@Honeygold89: Exciting.... You could be going any day now! Can't wait to hear of little N's arrival!
@SweetMamaM: Hoping little baby stays put until 37 weeks so you can have your birth centre experience! Sorry to hear your feet have swelled - definitely a sign to spend more time relaxing with your feet up!
@Danizaur: Well, even if all these contractions aren't dilating you yet, at least you know they're preparing your body for labour so hopefully it will be a quick one!
@IcebergMom: Love your name choices and think they both work well with Grace! We have a short list for a boy and a girl so we'll just have to wait and see which one works best once baby arrives.
@ElbieKay: Oh that stinks that your DH will be away for a few days - hopefully little baby stays put until after he returns!
@erinpye: Hope your massage went well and a happy belated birthday! Welcome to the 30s club - it's a great place to be!
38+4 today and random painful cramps plus a million BH as per usual... On the plus side, I've been sleeping like the dead lately and have had several nights in a row of 8+ hours of uninterrupted sleep. Not sure how that's occurring but I certainly won't complain!
Come on Feb babies, let's start seeing some more appearances! I feel like Honeygold or Erinpye will be the next to go.....

@raintreebee: congrats. I had my little man yesterday too! My labor was long though with a fast delivery.
Ladies pack your bags and get prepared. I never had my bag packed so I got stuck with clothes my mom brought. Lol. Unprepared but he was worth it!
