    I think my LO has moved her legs or some part of her body onto my right side and its really HURTING... like having a massive stitch on one corner of my body...

  2. Mrs Music

    Am suddenly having an intense stitch like pain on my right lower side... freakin hurts.

    @Mrs Music: I hope you feel better, soon! When LO sticks an arm or leg out like that, I'll just kind of "push back" with a flat hand on her and she'll back off eventually. Oooh, babies, always trying to make room the don't have.

    I have completely hit a wall!! I have an appt on Thursday and there is noooooooooo way I'll make it to march 8. I feel the same way as I did right before I delivered DS. Lately the worst has been the nausea and forcing myself to eat. I threw up in the car on the way to daycare this morning, so that was FUN. Boo. Not much longer though!!

    @Mrs Music: I'm staring at my stomach right now and she's sticking her butt out, then part of my stomach is flat and I can see her legs up top under my rib cage! Gross looking. DS didn't do that at all!

    @lavender: wow! Exciting!

    AFM, blood pressure back up again. Just had blood and urinalysis done, waiting for midwife to ring with results. She seems a bit more concerned than last time though, and is mentally prepping me that this may be a hospital rather than birthing centre birth

  6. Mrs Music

    cherry / 209 posts

    @matador84: totally there with you... my stomach is constantly lopsided.. my family finds it hilarious.

    @SweetMamaM: oh no. Praying that your results come back ok and that you can get your birthing centre birth afterall!

  7. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

    @Mrs Music: me too, but even if there's no sign of eclampsia, they may look at delivering at 38 weeks (so like 10 days away) if blood pressure is still high. Which will mean an induction, which will mean hospital If blood pressure is still high on Friday I'll have to do a 24 hour hospital obs probably early next week... Still, in the end, healthy baby is what matters, right?

    2am and I just deep cleaned my kitchen and about to start on my living room. I haven't really nested at all, but I had the urge to get out of bed tonight and clean my house!!

    I hope this means baby is coming soon!

    @Danizaur: If you need another kitchen to clean, come on over. Good luck, mama!

    Anyone else sweatier than usual? We're in the middle of a major cold snap and I'm sweating like crazy and this is not typical for me. Wondering if it could be a sign? I'd like baby to stay in until Friday night at least. I have had no other signs. No mucus plug. Baby has not dropped at all. Some Braxton Hicks last week.

    @Danizaur: I totally wish nesting would hit me! My house is a hot mess!

    @MrsKoala: Yup I'm a sweaty mess! I stay home all week except to go to my dr appointments and I got in the shower yesterday and I smelled. Ewww. And I hadn't even done anything!!

    @indi: @Springtime: I still have half of a hot mess house! My husband was asleep and I guess I wasn't being as quiet as I should and he woke up and said "What the hell!! Get back in bed!" Lol by that time my back was starting to hurt pretty bad so I was glad to go back to bed.

    @SweetMamaM: hope you don't develop pre e

    So my doc apt was ok I didn't dilated anymore I'm still at 2cm but she say that he has dropped even lower then last week so he is sitting real low and in position and my cervix has also thinned out more since last week, she still think he's going to come early like this weekend but I'm not so sure but we'll see

    @MrsKoala: Ive been sweaty the whole 3rd tri, so Idk! It could be! Hormones gearing up?

    @matador84: Another lopsided belly here! Babe's whole body is on my left with limbs over on the right, its quite funny looking!

    @MrsKoala: yep, warmer and sweatier, but nursing for me is even worse: waking up in pools of sweat and milk....SO glamorous

    Well, hello February mamas! Looks like I may be joining the club. Had my 40 week appointment today and baby girl is looking pretty comfy in there... only 1cm dilated, -2 station. I have an appointment on Monday morning to see how I'm doing and if I'm pretty much the same, I'll go in that night for cervidil and get my water broken on Tuesday morning and pitocin. He said I'm for sure having her by Tuesday. So I could very well have a February baby! We will see,

    @abbydabbydoodlebug: Well welcome! I hope your LO decides to make her appearance for you soon!
    @erinpye: Sheckshay! DH saw me sitting on the couch topless the other day and I just randomly started leaking…his face was priceless. I told him "get used to all sorts of weird new things, Love, this is only the beginning." LOL.
    @Honeygold89: Hold out for that math test, little guy!
    @MrsKoala: Not sweaty, thankfully, but my hip is all sorts of sore and I walk like a grandma until it relaxes. Blehk!
    @SweetMamaM: Here's hoping your BP goes down and you can wait it out a bit.
    @matador84: Tossing cookies is never fun. LO definitely favors my right side at night when we're sitting or sleeping, but during the day she's all "show" and likes to be nice and round. So she takes nice photos for me, haha, but she gets back at me in the evenings by stretching her butt into my ribs or kicking off the mattress when I sleep. Ugh!

    Swimming was AMAZING tonight. I was so glad we finally went! Just not having to bear all that extra weight *38 lbs* *oops!* was glorious. I will definitely go again next week. And my Dr recommended I go get that massage I wanted, and my work is like "yes, take off whatever you need for appointments to be healthy and feel well." my office!

    Ok, glad to hear that I'm not the only one who is a sweat monster these days. The end of pregnancy is not a pretty sight to see!

    @erinpye: Oh the wonderful things we have to look forward to!

    @abbydabbydoodlebug: Hello! It must feel so good to at least have Tuesday as an end date. Now come out before then, Baby Doodlebug!

    @indi: Ooooh swimming sounds lovely. I wish I had somewhere to go where I could swim right now. And a massage, too! It's so good to treat yourself!

    @abbydabbydoodlebug: welcome!

    Still no sign of pre-e here... Bloods and urine have come back normal. My midwife was consulting with her liaison doctor today to see what the next course of action is if BP hasn't come down. I'm basically ridiculously asymptomatic apart from having high blood pressure so hoping that it has come down at my appointment tomorrow. Baby can't come until after Monday anyway, that's when we're getting our capsule installed

    37 week appointment today! Hoping for some good news. I woke up to some low back pain this morning and I'm also getting some pelvic pain/period like pain when I have a contraction. Not getting my hopes up. I have all types of pain from sleeping anymore so I may just be making things up because I want to feel these things. Lol Just observing it right now.

    ETA: Eh...upon having a few more contractions they're starting to feel like regular old false labor ones. Back pain won't go away but period like pains have stopped.

    Baby girl R made her debut 1/28 at 3:12 pm at 36 +4 6.09 lbs and 18.5 inches. Funny thing I'd that is almost the same stats as M ( who was born at 40+3). To say it was a surprise was an understatement! R is looking good for being born early. Looking forward to going home today. Even though I'm technically a Jan mama, I think I'll stick around here

    @lavender: Congratulations and welcome baby R! I can't believe she had the same stats as her sister and she was almost four weeks earlier! She's a cutie!

    In the waiting room. Pelvic and back pain have started up again. Just a dull ache. Hmm.

    @indi: lol that's funny I could imagine your DH face. Glad you got to enjoy your swim

    @SweetMamaM: yay for good results.

    @lavender: yay congrats again on your baby girl.

    @MrsKoala: your so close to your due dates I hope LO comes soon for you so we can finally find out if it's a boy or girl!

    @Danizaur: hope something good is going on in there!

    @lavender: sounds like Baby Girl was already cooked and didn't fancy being overdone. Great news!
    @MrsKoala: without going into too much detail, I'm having side effects from my iron supplements. I'm like "is that a contraction?"... "Nah, just (insert digestive issue here)"... Frustrating!
    @Danizaur: it must be so hard for you to keep getting to the point you think your little man is coming, only to be told "Not Yet!"
    Yesterday was fun, I had Braxton Hicks and lightening crotch tag teaming each other... Not comfortable! Three hours until midwife appointment - will be interesting to hear if my BP has gone down. I could have gone and punched my husband's boss yesterday though - he's stressing out about DH being on leave (not that, you know, they've had like six months notice or anything) and he said he hoped I didn't have the baby until March! What a horrible thing to wish on me pregnant rage hormones!

    @lavender congrats!!! glad both are healthy.

    my appt today was good! i'm going to pre-register at the hospital this week and then i go back to dr on 2/13, then down to weekly. pretty sure it will be a feb baby, but it will be close!!!

  36. SweetMamaM

    pear / 1743 posts

    UPDATE: midwife appointment today was semi-positive. Blood pressure is down to pre-hypertension levels. I can continue to be monitored at the birthing centre but if my blood pressure gets up to 150/100 it will be a direct transfer to hospital straight away. If I go into labour pre-dates I can deliver at the birthing centre but they don't want to let me go past due dates, so then it will be hospital, induction and probable epidural. We have an appointment on the 11th to meet our obstetrician and do paperwork for the hospital birth, just in case.

    Not ideal, but could be a heck of a lot worse. And at least we know we'll definitely have a February baby.

    @SweetMamaM: I'm glad it's all turning out okay! Healthy baby and mom are what's important. I hope your birth goes smoothly and you get your birth center birth!

    Woke up to more back pain and cramping, although my contractions were way slowed down. I only counted 2 while I was drifting in and out of sleep for a few hours. I had one particularly intense bout of abdominal cramping in the front! I really had to breathe through it.

    I just have a feeling I'm getting close to labor and this is my body starting the process of it even though it's all false right now. I can feel T's head actually in my pelvis now, right above my pubic bone. I'm guessing it'll be within the week...but I could be wrong!

    @matador84: How are you feeling? Still nauseous?

    @SweetMamaM: Glad that your BP is down. It sounds like there is a good plan in place. I know it's hard when the reality doesn't match your expectations but a safe delivery is the most important thing!

    @Danizaur: You poor poor thing. I really really hope you go early just so that you don't have to deal with this any more. Maybe our babies want to share a birthday?

  40. IcebergMom

    persimmon / 1295 posts

    @Danizaur: wow! i cant believe you're feeling so much activity! all this false labour must be driving you insane! not to mention keeping you obsessing over clocks and timing!

    @SweetMamaM: yes my OB doesn't want me (as a VBAC candidate) going past 40. He says with VBACs (where I have a uterine scar in there somewhere) the bigger the baby - the more nerve wracking that the scar could be impacted by birthing procses.
