Well I have been so sick with what I thought was strep throat at first since one of my cousins was around me last week with it but now it just feels like a bad cold which is causing me not to be able to sleep or eat all that well I've been taking the Tylenol cold med but I don't think it help plus my primary hasn't finish processing my referral to a ob yet which is making me upset and I'm almost at the point where I'm bout to just find my own cause I can't take this I need to see a doc and of course I want to make sure lil one is ok

@Honeygold89: Im so sorry youre sick and that the Dr. is taking his sweet time! Do you need a referral for ins? I would probably find my own!

@Springtime: Ive heard sour stuff is good for metallic taste. Do you have that? Its mild for me today, but yesterday I kept rinsing my mouth out because it was so intense!

@citymouse: no I don't have to be referred but since the week before I was suppose to be referred because of the tiny lump in my breast and last week with him drawing my blood I was trying to wait but in becoming very impatient.
Also here and there I get that metallic taste and I just eat a pickle and it really helps I have went thur a full big jar over the last week

EDD if you have one: February 22
When Did You Find Out?: First day of missed AF.
Child Number: 1
Where You Live: Boston
When's Your First Appointment?: Haven't scheduled one yet.
What You're Most Excited For: umm a baby!
What You're Most Scared About: At this point, Twins! I don't know if I could handle more than one baby. I feel cautiously optimistic about this pregnancy since we conceived on the first go and I am taking good care of myself.
Symptoms so far: fatigue, sore bbs
Any fun plans for the summer?: Lots of trips to the beach, weddings, weekend vacations.

@Honeygold89: I'm an impatient person so I probably would have just asked my friends and family with babies who they recommend. That's how I found my OB that I'm seeing Monday. Have never been to her but 2 friends randomly recommended her so I took it as a good sign!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@citymouse: Ditto. I'm making sure I'm eating good things too. Fortunately still no sickness so I'm not eating hotdogs out of necessity, but just cause they are so darn good right now!

So quick update. My GP today said that the 139 hcg level last Weds was high! Feel better about that because while I knew it indicated how far along they thought I was, I didn't know if that was low or high on the spectrum. I know it's not an iron clad indicator, but better than nothing.
More blood today, he said he should have results tomorrow. The suspense is killing me!!!

Any fun plans for the summer (or winter in the Southern Hemisphere)?: Going to conference for work then roadtripping to see my sister.
It's funny, what really got me thinking that I might be pregnant was the fact that the risotto I made my husband on Monday made me want to retch! And then last night at the cinema, the trailer for Man of Steel came on and I started tearing up... Emotional much?

So I had to just find my own ob and now I have my first ob appt mon the 24th yay I can't wait to check on my little bean and maybe get help with this cold. DH is taking off to go with me this time which makes me happy cause with the first I was alone so I had to take all the bad news by myself. @citymouse: Thanks for thinking of me! The initial report yesterday indicates the numbers are looking good, but I have an appt this morning to find out more concrete information, so I was going to wait until after that to update this thread. Starting to think this might be real though!

@Ree723: Oh, I didn't mean to force you into posting before you were ready. Im sorry!! I am glad to hear that the numbers were good though. FX everything still looks good tomorrow!

Just going into my 6th week and all of my symptoms are disappearing! Is this normal? Feeling like I need to run out and buy another pregnancy test to make sure everything is okay...
persimmon / 1116 posts
@mrs.halfsie: Some of my symptoms went away as well, like my breasts aren't having any pangs, or pulls anymore and Im not constipated anymore. But other things have started like MS. Also, not cramping as much anymore, I think?
olive / 63 posts
@citymouse: Yeah, my main symptom was cramping - which was different than period cramps - and that has all but disappeared. My breasts are still a bit tender, but not as much as they were at the beginning. MS hasn't set in yet. It's probably nothing to worry about, but I can't help but worry!
pear / 1531 posts
@mrs.halfsie: I am 5 weeks 6 days and totally panicking about my lack of symptoms. My main ones were hunger and cramping and don't feel much of those anymore. No MS yet either. Boobs never really hurt. Last week's ultrasound and beta were fine but tomorrow I have another doctor visit. Soooo incredibly nervous (like can't sleep).
nectarine / 2527 posts
@Ree723: I'm still praying for you and hoping everything goes well
@mrs.halfsie: @citymouse: @raintreebee: I have heard this is some what normal and nothing to worry about I have been having symptoms to come and go but I'm just not sure if its been because of my cold or just because but like I say I have heard this to be normal dont worry about it everything is fine

@raintreebee: Good luck at the appointment tomorrow, I'm sure everything will look great I am currently overseas so seeing a doctor regularly to check my levels is out of the question sadly. Which compounds my nerves! I do get progesterone level results back tomorrow - I hope they look good.
@honeygold89: Thanks for the reassurance! I'm hope everything is okay, but it's hard not to worry
