@Aimed121: Congrats! Girls are so fun!! I haven't had any in over a month and Sunday night I had to call DH in to take over bath time cause I thought that I was going to puke. I couldn't eat dinner he cooked either.

I am just getting migraines/headaches all the time.

Adding two boys to the list. We found out last Thurs and it was a huge shock for me. Still trying to adjust but I'm grateful they are both healthy and looking good so far. Someone I met through a hospital support group just lost her second baby to a late second trimester miscarriage and I feel so awful for her.

@Smurfette: I'm getting migraines too. It sucks. The only thing that helps is two extra strength Tylenol, a Coke, alternating heating pad and cold compress, and rubbing peppermint oil on my temples. Even then I'm barely functional.

@Smurfette: I ended up seeing a chiropractor with my last pregnancy because of headaches and it was like a miracle cure. acupuncture helped too!

@madger @IRunForFun: thanks for the migraine tips. i just had my first one last week where it caused me to throw up breakfast and lunch. not fun. an iced latte always seems to help.

    @littlecasita1122: yay for more boys!

@aimed121: i am happy to take any boy clothes off your hands. lmk if you will be posting them. i have bought nothing so far and feel so unprepared as we come to the 20-week mark.

any baby preparations? we have done nothing. no registry, crib, stroller, etc. i think it will start to sink in after our anatomy scan @ 21 weeks OR when i feel some movement.

any baby moon destinations? DH is concerned about zika in the south and hawaii so we are headed to chicago in early october instead.

@littlecasita1122: Congratulations on the two boys!! I'm sorry, I can't remember what your first LO is? I'm also sorry to hear about your friend's loss, it must be scary and sad, especially with what you've been through. I hope after a little time to process all the recent news you get to feeling better.

@bluebubblez: I literally just bought a used changing table/dresser combo. Well, my MIL found it at a Habitat Restore and texted me and I had her buy it. We plan to paint it and do new hardware. I've also joined a B/S/T cloth diaper group on FB and have bought 10ish diapers. The rest I think we will wait until we've moved into our new house because we don't have space where we are!!

Does anyone want to share bump photos? We could make a separate thread or just share here. I just took one after getting back from a walk. It is still SO hot out there - I'm ready for fall! And I also need new workout bottoms. These squeezed my belly and bladder uncomfortably the entire time. Here I am at 17+2. Ignore the unmade bed.

@littlecasita1122: yay congrats! What are your other two again?
@bluebubblez: I have bought a lot for the nursery and more clothes! I have a shopping problem. We are turning our guest room/office into the nursery but I have to wait till our basement is finished to move that stuff out. So it will be November before we can actually set the nursery up and paint. I really wish I could do it sooner but we had contractor issues so we are getting a late start.
@IRunForFun: you look great! I will post a picture when I take my weekly pic for the week.

@Smurfette: I have been shockingly bad at taking weekly photos, especially given its my first. At 12 weeks I had DH take a nice one and planned to do that in the same outfit weekly. Yeah haven't done it again since. I take a weekly one on my phone to send to my BFF and that's about it!! I want to see some more bumps though!!

My 4 yr old is a boy and then I lost a baby girl in January. We are definitely done having kids after the twins, so it's just hard realizing I lost out on my chance to raise a daughter all over again.

Anyone else having crazy ligament pain? Sometimes I feel like I'm already in my third trimester, I get so uncomfortable. I have an appt tmrw but I don't remember having the pains like this before.

  14. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@IRunForFun: I have DH take one every Sat, my weeks change on Wed, and I have a banner I made. I did it weekly with LO and then made an album so I wanted to do the same this time. @littlecasita1122: oh I'm so sorry.
I'm have some back pain when I am sitting at work all day. But not round ligament pain. I don't remember having it when my LO either. Or if I did I didn't know that was what it was.

@IRunForFun: I got a Snoogle and it's amazing. Worth every penny, although my daughter is constantly stealing it! I did prenatal yoga throughout my first pregnancy....ahhh. You made the right choice! I started going to regular yoga once a week and am kind of hoping no one notices I'm pregnant, haha. Also, you look great!

@Smurfette: Migraines are the worst. I'm so sorry.

@littlecasita1122: Congratulations! Sounds like eventually you'll have a chaotic blast, but what you're feeling is totally understandable.

@bluebubblez: We are doing a long weekend in the mountains for my 30th/babymoon! Chicago will be nice in October.

Loving all the updates, I hope I didn't miss anyone! It's hard to keep track on the phone.

We aren't doing a babymoon. I might have my parents take her for a weekend and we stay in a local hotel for our anniversary but otherwise we have no time for a babymoon. But that is ok. I would rather save baby sitters for once we want to get away from two kids!

  17. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

We aren't doing a babymoon either, mainly for financial reasons. We just bought a house and will be moving mid-September so all that time and associated costs kind of make going away for a bit difficult. I'd love to otherwise!

@bluebubblez: I made a registry, but more to remind myself what we need. Since we're having the same sex in the same season, we can re-use 99% of DD1's stuff but will have to get an extra camera, and some things I never got with DD1 but want for DD2.

Yay for babymoon! We went to SF (I live in NY) with DD1; we're going away to NJ ocean front for 3 days in Oct with DD1 as a tiny vacation.

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@IRunForFun: I would share one if I actually take them... I didn't even take them regularly with DD1, I think so far I've only taken ONE with DD2

    I'm planning to take a pic with DD1 tomorrow tho, b/c she's 20 months and I'll be 20 weeks!

@Smurfette: Thank-you for updated list, @littlecasita1122: you are keeping us more in balance! I hope your three boys and your angel girl fill your heart! She will watch over those boys for you!!

@madger: still no call from my doc, I would really hope by now if something was wrong from the internal, there would have been a call...!

@babypugs: the "score" on boys versus girls is too funny. It is like this in another group I am in as well.

@IRunForFun: eee on tomorrow, I don't and haven't had a pillow, just make regular pillows work!

@Smurfette: this is a shit awful comment from colleague! who says that! I have not had any belly rubs yet.....thank goodness! I am up 15lbs or so (probably at least by now) and someone just posted on the other Jan 2017 group I am on and it was really nice.....today is "hump day bump day" where everyone posts bump pic selfies, and it is truly unreal how different everyone carries, we're all creating little humans, try to go easy on yourself. The work on the other end to get "rid" of the weight is totally hard, but was all for good cause. Hugs!!

@Chillybear: No newborn pics. I have a DSLR and try to take decent pics and do little "photoshoots" along the way, but am by no means a pro. I did attempt a newborn shoot with my first and LOL looking back on how awful they are, newborn photog's have a gift!! I am realllllly (really!!) wanting birth photography this time, but I just can't swallow the cost, so I doubt we'll do it.

No babymoon, with two already and I'm not one to go too far to begin with, it might be nice for a night away with DH before, but we'll see how the Fall goes. I am away 3 nights right now til Friday, and will be away 5 days/4 nights late September for work....which is nice! I slept 8 hours 20 mins last night and woke up to no alarm, no kids!

20w today! Speaking of me being away....not in a nice hotel, staying in a gross univesity residence in the city. I spoke to a group of 200 or so this morning, and many that know me in this group of province wide colleagues did not know I was preggo, so this am was fun!! My butt and my bump are weirdly similar this am. I should take this pic later today and see how different it looks!

Congrats to those who have found out what they're having! It seems like I am behind everyone I'm 16w6d and have my anatomy scan scheduled for sept 6th, CANT wait!

  25. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

We had our anatomy scan this morning! Still team The tech did say it was a little earlier than normal, but she was able to visualize and get pictures of everything. She said depending on how picky the radiologist who reads the scan is, they *may* have me come back in for better detail on the kidneys and heart (she didn't indicate there was anything wrong with them, just that they'd be better pictured by 20 weeks) so we will see. If that happens oh well, I get another scan!!

Kid was like a Mexican jumping bean in there and I didn't feel any of it. She reconfirmed that I have an anterior placenta. Boo. Hopefully I start feeling more soon!

    @sunnyday: Looking good!

@IRunForFun: Hi in there little bean! Bet that was fun to watch

Ugh y'all, I calculated the cost of two in daycare for the first time today. I'd been living in ignorant bliss. I'm freaking out!

  28. Smurfette

@babypugs: Right there with you. It is depressing, even with the two kid 10% discount.

  29. babypugs

    persimmon / 1101 posts

@Smurfette: I swear, that 10% discount on the oldest child is almost insulting!

  30. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@babypugs: Yeah $140 is nothing when paying $1450 a month for her alone.

  31. snowjewelz

    wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts

@babypugs: @Smurfette: I'm totally just living in denial too. Ours will go up A LOT b/c we'll be upping DD1's hours/days. Then we're gonna try to see if we can delay DD2 going for as long as possible. DD1 didn't start till she was 10 mo, and I'm hoping we can work something out that DD2 doesn't have to start till at least 6 months...

  32. babypugs

@Smurfette: @snowjewelz: It's sickening. I added everything up and starting feeling queasy. I was like, morning sickness back again? Oh, wait, nope, just a massive pit of financial anxiety. Haha

@babypugs: I feel ya.. My maternity leave is unpaid too, so I'm just in total denial about finances next year

@Smurfette: we pay for two FT what you pay for one, woweeee. That's so tough!!

@IRunForFun: awesome on today, and hopefully movement for you soon!!

  35. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

Ultrasound went great. She wouldn't flip over to get a shot of the heart from the back so I have to go back in two weeks. But the doctor said she was a beauiful baby. My placenta is really close to my cervix so I have to go back in 8 weeks and see if it has moved. Fingers crossed. I don't need anything else to worry about. DH and I took the rest of the day to ourselves. We were at the mall for a movie and ended up buying two more outfits for her. I can't stop buying all the little clothes!

    Can't believe almost half way!

    @sunnyday: @Smurfette: @IRunForFun: looking great so far!

This is me a couple days ago at 19 weeks. These night shifts are not pretty but I managed to remember a pic before racing to bed

We had our anatomy scan this morning and everything looked great, what a relief! So fun to watch little one moving and shaking in there. Babe is already 12oz which is making me anxious about having a giant baby (I was 10lb 13oz!!!)

  37. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@afishermanswife: mine was 10oz so I think you are fine!

  38. IRunForFun

    pomelo / 5509 posts

@Smurfette: @afishermanswife: You both look great! Did your techs tell you how big baby was measuring? Mine was not forthcoming with info at all. I actually asked her how big baby was measuring and she said she couldn't tell until the computer did all the printouts of the measurements she took, but even after that she didn't say. She didn't seem to happy to be there, lol. Granted it was 8 am and she looked to be 6 or 7 months pregnant herself so who am I to gripe!

  39. afishermanswife

    coffee bean / 25 posts

@IRunForFun: Nope! I asked a few times. She would just say "ok measuring the head, yep looks good/normal" etc etc. No numbers or dates. My tech this time was nice though, she basically commented on each portion of the scan and each organ or body part as she went which was nice. Last time (12 weeks) my tech was silent until the end and it was nerve wracking!

  40. Smurfette

    GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts

@IRunForFun: yes. Once the tech was done said she ok she is measuring 10oz and then the doctor came in and went over as well. But I was at the specialist due to AMA so their equipment is a lot better then most OBs office has. I know my OB never told us that.
