No plans for tomorrow, other than heading up the mountain to go skiing. Will probably stop somewhere on the way and get fast food -- romantic I know. But V day is the one day a year I think I'd prefer not to eat out!

We went out last night as our valentines, so just plan to stay home and rent Dallas Buyer's Club tomorrow!

Still no official baby movement here although I've had 3 or 4 maybe moments at night - not convinced it wasn't hoping thinking

Oh I forgot to add! I bought my first piece of baby clothing today!! if this isn't too big, I might use it for coming home outfit.

We are going out on Vday because the hubby made reservations and we love going out to eat to celebrate special things!

I had a disappointing day though. As most of you know, I moved from Kansas to Minnesota mid-pregnancy. Well my last appointment was 12w1d in Kansas and now I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and my first appointment in MN was canceled today!

I have yet to meet with a real OB this entire pregnancy (my guy was family practice in Kansas) and I was SO excited to meet her but she had to cancel because another patient was about to deliver. Now I won't see my OB until I'm almost 18 weeks, and that's six weeks after my last appt. My emotions have been all over the place lately and I know it's irrational but I totally cried on the way home. The hubby took off work for nothing and I was already in my gown and naked when they told us to go home. I just wanted to hear the heartbeat again and know everything was OK.

I can't believe the first time I see an OB will be at almost halfway through my pregnancy! Bizarre and really hoping and praying that I like her, so I don't have to search again!!

Trying to look on the bright side: I scheduled my anatomy scan for the week before our one year wedding anniversary and I can hardly WAIT for that! And I thought I felt two pokes/flutters last night but I was half asleep so I can't be sure.

It's a girl!!! And her name will be Marlowe.

@runnerd: Thanks! We should paste the due date list in a post soon and put the genders as we find them out to keep track! Did you have your US verified that it's a boy officially? You were the one that had the confusion over the gender, yes?

@princessandthebee: So sorry to hear about your OB troubles... that sounds super frustrating! I'm sure baby is just fine... just a few more days until your appt.

@runnerd: I'm having a boy too (my second)! My first was born in June, so we pretty much had him in a diaper and onesie throughout the summer. I used a breathable swaddling blanket (Aden+ Anais) to cover him while he slept. It gets hot here (Southern California) and we have the a/c usually set at 68-70. They usually say to add 1 layer more than what you're wearing for newborns since they can't regulate/ control their temperatures as well as children and adults.

I finally outed myself on Facebook - a little late but whatever

Next week we have our anatomy scan. I took off the whole day from work as I will be very nervous!
Yesterday I definitely felt something that was not ordinary so I think I can legitimately say it was the baby.

@Mrs. Amethyst: duh! i even had you on the list under the gender thread! now i'm curious how old you are, cause we are due on the same day and having a boy... thinking about the chinese calendar thing, cause it said i'm having boy too. haha.

oh, and thanks for summer baby tips!

@coopsmama: yea i was one with some back and forth on gender, but we finally decided we are pretty confident it's a boy after talking to my OB - she said she really didn't think the specialist would have said boy if he wasn't really confident, and well, he's a specialist! so hopefully he's right

Oh how exciting for everyone that's found out already!! I can't wait to find out gender in another week---eek!

YOU GUYS! Two seperate patients (I'm a secretary at an OB/GYN), totally unprompted, straight up asked me if I was expecting today!! Good thing I wasn't just putting on some weight!! haha I don't know why but it made me so excited! Hope you all have a lovely V-day!!

We finally got the nursery painted! Now just to replace carpet with hardwoods, replace ceiling fan, replace, blinds, update shelving in closet.... Oy! We hadn't touched this room since moving in the house so a ways to go!

@runnerd: That's a beautiful color!

We spent the weekend clearing out the soon-to-be nursery, which has been my "I don't know where this goes so I'll throw it in here" room for the past year. Yikes! Now we just need to wait for our anatomy scan so I can start buying and decorating. I'm so excited!

@thismustbetheplace: we just hate carpet our goal is to have no carpet in the house eventually

@runnerd: So pretty! I used to hate carpet too but our dog loves it and I'm not opposed to it in a baby's room.

Since we're still living with my parents, we're pretty far from decorating a nursery. Just hoping to have a home by the time baby arrives!

@runnerd: We are house hunting right now! The sooner the better.
