@newlypregnantlady: that stinks. The only thing I'd say to try and help is that in my previous two births, I spent FAR more time win the L&D nurses I'd never met before than I did with the doctor, who swooped in at the last minute. So hopefully you'll at least have fabulous nurses!

Feeling stressed. I have been suffering a flu-like illness the last few days. Went to pick up a few things at Trader Joe's tonight and saw the posted warning about a hummus recall. I took a photo then checked my hummus at home, which I've already been eating the last 10 days. Yep, it's recalled for listeria. Ugh. At least I have an appointment tomorrow, so we can see if I need to be tested. I really hate this.

@Winnie13: yay! How will u reveal?! Can't wait to find out!
@Iced Tea: o no!!!!!! I hope it turns out to be nothing! And if not, be very treatable!

@Rae: Good luck!!
@Iced Tea: ugh how stressful!! Glad you have an appt today.

Been quiet over here, just chugging along, bringing up the rear of this group. 11 weeks today - had my NIPT draw on Friday...ultrasound today. Trying not to think about getting the results because I know I won't get them this week, but of course with my history that is impossible!

@Iced Tea: oh no! That is so stressful. I'm glad you have an appointment to get it checked out today!
@Rae: good luck!
@winniebee: how long will it take to get your results? It would be nice if they came in by the end of this week, so I'll hope with you! Good luck at your ultrasound today!

@Iced Tea: Oh that's so stressful! I'm glad you have an appointment today!
@winniebee: Yay for 11 weeks The wait must be making you crazy with all you guys have been through
I'm resisting the urge to call my doc and badger them about the results - do you think the weekend counts in my 10 day estimate?
honeydew / 7283 posts
I'm 14 weeks today so celebrating being in the second trimester Still feeling pretty nauseous and vomiting some, but I think it's a little better. I'm sort of between regular jeans and maternity jeans and looking chubby in either. I can't wait to actually look pregnant rather than gross.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: it was 10 days total for me last time including two weekend days! I got it on a Wednesday and found out on a Friday. Don't feel bad about calling!

Ultrasound was fine. Still too early to see full anatomy but at 11 weeks all is looking good. She couldn't do an NT measurement today but said it would be obvious if it was a big fold and it wasn't. Brain looks fine so far and nothing obvious with spine. I go to MFM for an ultrasound next Wednesday!

@winniebee so happy to hear you had good results. I just got home from my NT scan and remembered you had yours today too.
Baby looks good and I'm so relieved. They got my bloodwork back as well so I have confirmation that downs/trisomy risk is super low. I've been nervous lately since I've been feeling so good and my bloat has pretty much gone away so I can fit into all my jeans again. I'm kind of ready for comfy maternity clothes!
@IcedTea I'm so sorry about your worry re: listeria. I think a about it constantly but make lots of decisions about eating that are probably not ideal to avoid listeria. Why does it have to be present in all the yummy foods I crave? How do they test?

@Iced Tea: so sorry to hear about this! I hope it turns out to be unrelated. I know there is a stomach flu going around here - it's just that time of the year hope you are feeling better soon!
@winniebee: glad you had a good ultrasound!
@Mrs. Pajamas: glad to hear you had a good scan/bloodwork!
my NT scan is tomorrow morning. I'm feeling pretty anxious so just trying to stay busy until then. I'm still experiencing pretty bad nausea most nights but the daytime nausea has calmed down a lot. still in regular clothes but I need to take an inventory of maternity clothes and purchase some stuff -- DS was born in early September and I didn't start wearing maternity clothes until like 17/18 weeks, so I don't have a ton of stuff besides dresses which won't really work for winter.

Oh as for clothing....I'm huge for 11 weeks. Maternity pants or leggings ftw.

@winniebee: you look great!
15 weeks tomorrow and I've been in maternity clothes for a few weeks! I'm definitely getting a bump and the high maternity band on my shorts (it's summer here) help to shape it into a cute bump, otherwise it looks weird where my bellybutton is

Would anyone be interested in a bump thread? Or a private Facebook group?
nectarine / 2994 posts
@Rae: @MissKriss19: Just created a bump thread on the June 2017 board if there's any interest in a private Facebook group then I'll sort that out tomorrow for us

Had my NT scan this morning -- everything looked great, although it took a while to get the nuchal measurement bc baby was moving around like crazy! My anatomy scan is scheduled for 1/24 -- can't wait!

@Iced Tea: I hope you got some reassurance at your appointment yesterday!
@Rae: can't wait to hear how your scan went!
@winniebee: @Mrs. Pajamas: @jape14: love hearing all this good news!
@winniebee: you look adorable and not huge at all!

@Mrs. Pajamas @jape14 Hooray for good news!
@winniebee You look great!
Things here are ok, trying to make it to winter break. I'm excited to go home and see my mom, who doesn't have to start chemo till after Christmas, so that's great! I'm finally starting to show a little, which is exciting. Had another routine appointment yesterday and everything looked good, I can't wait to get to the anatomy scan in January.

Update: we decided to schedule the blood test at the high risk OB group at the major medical center, since they would be the ones to treat me if the results are positive (treatment is intensive multiple IV infusions daily for 2-4 weeks). When I got there, I was a little put off that they didn't seem to know what specific test to order. They ended up ordering the wrong one, so I had to return to have more drawn. Then the lab tech botched that one and had to do it over (and this test requires drawing from both arms). In the end, I was stuck five times in one day. And the draws were slow and uncomfortable since I was dehydrated from vomiting all night. Not a great day. The results will be back on Monday. Since fetal listeria can be so dire, they offered me an oral antibiotic to take in the meantime if it makes me feel better. Well, the pharmacist was so concerned and reluctant to dispense it (apparently category D!), that I've decided I'm not going to take it unless I get worse. Now I wait for almost a week and hopefully feel better soon.

@iced tea yikes you poor thing. Crossing everything the results are in your favor and you feel better soon!

@Iced Tea: oh my gosh, I'm so sorry you are dealing with this! The lab just added insult to injury with all the mistakes. Hopefully the test results bring you some good news and you start to feel better soon!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Iced Tea: So stressful I'm glad you're getting those labs done. Hopefully the results are reassuring. I'm sorry you are going through this.

@winniebee: You look adorable! I'm jealous. I still just look like I've been eating too many Christmas cookies

@Iced Tea: Oh that sounds horrible. I'm sorry that you had to go through the issues with the lab in addition to all of this worry
@msmilkshake: It's hard to believe that anatomy scans are coming up so soon! I'm glad that you get to spend Christmas with your mom and that the chemo can wait

So we got our Panorama results back last week - "low risk" for everything and baby #3 is a boy! I'll have a 4.5yo girl, a 2.5yo boy and a newborn boy
My daughter was a little disappointed to learn that it's not a sister, but I'm sure she'll have fun leading these 2 little rascals around.

@MrsF: how exciting!! Congrats on your healthy little boy!
We always wait to find out. Anyone else on Team Green?
persimmon / 1198 posts
@MrsF: exciting, congrats!
@rattles: I don't have the patience to wait! The ultrasound tech told us she thought we were having a girl based on the nub theory at the NT scan (and I saw exactly what she was talking about), so I'm dying to know if she was right or not. We will hopefully find out January 17th (I think that's my scan date)!
