@tequiero21: congratulations! So exciting! Was it your ultrasound tech that thought you were having a girl at your NT test?

@tequiero21: Congratulations on a healthy baby girl -- I forget do you have a girl already?
honeydew / 7968 posts
@winniebee: yup! One girl two boys. I've always wanted a sister so was really hoping for another girl!

Had ultrasound at MFM today - everything looks good so far (12.5 weeks). Early anatomy scan there on January 11 and then real deal on February 9. I'm so nervous for people to actually know that I'm pregnant!! But I guess I'll probably stop trying to hide it now...

@Iced Tea: glad your test came back negative!
@tequiero21: congrats on the girl!
@winniebee: glad to hear the ultrasound went well.
I got the results back from my bloodwork that accompanies the NT scan - everything came back negative. Nausea seems to be mostly gone, too!

@Jape14 so glad you are feeling better and your tests had good results!
@IcedTea so relieved for you! I caught a virus of some sort this week on top of a cold I already had so I have nausea and a terrible runny nose --it sucks!
@tequiero21 congrats on your results and girl! you will have 2 of each now right?
persimmon / 1198 posts
@tequiero21: mine was very convinced we are having a girl as well, so I'm really interested in confirming or not her guess! Congrats again! That's awesome you will have 2 of each
@winniebee: such great news! Hopefully the great news continues through the next couple of months!
@jape14: awesome! Glad you are feeling better too!

Started making a registry list today and wowzer!! A little overwhelming!! So, for all you mommies...What are some of your must have items??
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@Winnie13: I think lucies list is a great place to start for registry basics / comparisons.
persimmon / 1198 posts
@Winnie13: yup what @winniebee said. I used Lucie's List almost exclusively! I also used some of the registry lists from the HB Bloggers I followed. You'd have to search since they don't do them as often anymore. I think I remember Lucie's List having a nice list for twin moms too!

@Winnie13: I loved Lucie's List too! I also found the book Baby Bargains very useful.
one of my favorite random items was the Boppy Newborn Lounger - a nice soft place to put baby down when you are supervising but need a break (in my case, while I binge watched Scandal on maternity leave).

@jape14: @Winnie13: totally forgot about Baby Bargins! Loved that book and used it a ton! I liked using the two together to see what might be worth the extra costs and what wasn't. I got our video monitor on recommendation from BB (infant optics) and it's been great. Our cat actually broke the antenna and they replaced our whole unit for free!

@Mrs.Hawk71: Yay!! Congratulations!! That is so exciting!
@bookwormmama: @jape14: @bookwormmama: @winniebee: Thank you ladies so much! I have found that Lucy's List has been a great resource!!
Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and A Happy Hanukkah!
We find out our babies sex tomorrow! We are so excited!! I'm making all the decorations for the party now! I'll keep everyone posted! I've felt from the beginning that I was having 2 girls... I was wavering back and forth and then I had a very vivid dream that I was having 2 girls!! I am back on the team girl train! Now, I've also heard that if you dream it, you are having the opposite, but I'm not letting that influence me!! Lol! No matter what, we will be thrilled!

@Winnie13: exciting! With my first two I dreamed both times they were girls and was right! Hasnt happened this time though and still not sure if I think boy or girl! Still 2ish weeks til we find out! Can't wait to hear what you're having!

You guys, I am (at least I feel) suddenly enormous. I really was not obviously pregnant before Christmas and... pop! I shouldn't be surprised as it's my third, but I think the fact that it's coinciding with ALL of the holiday food consumption is making me feel a little gross. I mean, the baby is still way down low at this point (16w) - so it's not baby I'm looking at!

@MrsF: I think I saw that at 16 weeks your uterus is about halfway between your pubic bone and belly button...I'm really big and I feel like I have been for weeks, but it's firm, not squishy. I think the higher part is probably my other organs being pushed up...I mean they have to go somewhere!
honeydew / 7283 posts
@bookwormmama: Yeah, you're right. I think 12 weeks is right at the pubic bone and 20 weeks is at the belly button, so right in the middle sounds right Frankly, I should be happy to look pregnant and not just like I've gained a few extra pounds.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: I looked massively pregnant at 16 weeks with my second and third pregnancies. I think it's totally normal. I'm 13 weeks and look 20 right now. The uterus has a great memory.
honeydew / 7283 posts
@winniebee: Ah, that uterus and its memory. I've always carried really small (and I'm tall) so I'm sort of alarmed at how big I feel already. I wonder if I'll end up being much bigger by the end of this pregnancy than others...
grapefruit / 4903 posts
@MrsF: I have looked noticeably pregnant with a firm bump for weeks now, and I'm only 17 weeks. I think when it's the third time, muscle memory kicks in!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
@MrsF: maybe not! I get big in the beginning but level out in 3rd tri

@rattles: Glad I'm not alone!
@winniebee: Phew!
Man - I sound *so* vain in these posts today. The things I'm obsessing about rather than worrying about how to manage 3 kids
nectarine / 2994 posts
@MrsF: at 16/17 weeks I'm pretty sure I'm the same size as I was at 25 weeks last time do I know how you feel! Just hoping it's because baby had a growth spurt.
Finally did some baby shopping the other day - a bath support and a themed toy, I think it helped make things a bit more real. Ya know, besides all the morning sickness and baby bump and cravings!
Ooooh and I'm currently on day 4 of no vomiting! So I'm pretty hopeful morning sickness is now behind me. Please please please!
grapefruit / 4903 posts
@MrsF: see, I figure I'll just have to figure that out when it happens, and there won't be time to obsess over our own looks then the first time someone asked me when I was due this pregnancy was at 7 weeks!
