@LAZB: lol I got impatient and joined the May mamas thread. Both me and @Jessiemuller88 are June 2 due dates so we just hopped on there. Otherwise it would have just been the two of us talking to each other on the June board. Lol. The other moms from Sept POAS made the May cut off! I suppose I could do both threads... lol. I hope this one fills up!!! The May thread is quiet. Our Sept POAS thread was SO active and I loved it.
I am totally lurking in Oct POAS! Itās my fave thread.

@SupernovaJ: I donāt blame you. Even IF I get a Bfp, I would be due the end of June, but Iād be tempted to join a more active May thread since Iād probably deliver at the tail end of May, very beginning of June.

It's more fun with more people so we could totally just combine may and June

@MamaBear87: I agree.. maybe we can combine May and June. I have a good feeling about the Oct POAS thread!!

I'm waiting for my beta results on Friday and as long as those are good, I'll join! (Ahhhh-never thought I'd get to say that!!) As a first-timer, I'm going to have a thousand questions.

@foodiebee: I am SO excited for you!!! I saw your other post... first Oct . Just know that you are pregnant at this very moment and enjoy it... the progression on your hpts looked really good.

Super hoping I'm not jinxing anything, but I tested this a.m. at 12dp5dt and the line was equal to the control, so I think it's safe to post here! (AHHHH!)
Location: Southeast USA, from Cali originally
EDD: June 15 according to my phone app
How far along: 4 weeks 2 days according to my phone app, but I think this is wrong? We transferred 1 (5-day) blast on 9/26. Is that the date I count by? That's totally different than what the app says.
First child? YES!!!!
First doctor appointment: I'm working with an RE, so I haven't made my first OBGYN apt yet. I just went in for my second beta draw this a.m., and this morning's HPT has me feeling positive!
Any symptoms so far? I think so, but I can't tell if I'm making it up. Waking up multiple times a night, vivid dreams every single night. Tender breasts some days. I'm a vegetarian, and the other day DH's lunch (a hot dog) smelled amazing. He thought this was hilarious.
Who have you told? DH, immediate family, and very close friends who knew we were doing IVF. This has been a long journey, and I'm feeling quite hesitant to have the rest of the world know. We were private about TTC, and some people in my workplace oppose IVF for religious reasons. The idea of people I work with knowing makes my stomach churn. I'm hoping I feel better about this later on. We aren't planning to announce until after Christmas.

First child? 2nd - I have a 2.5 year old daughter
First doctor appointment: I have an appointment tomorrow for blood work. Otherwise, not sure when my first real prenatal appointment will be - in about a month I'm guessing.
Any symptoms so far? All the smells. My desk is close to the fridge and trash at work so that's been fun today. Other than that just a touch of nausea but it's not too bad.
Who have you told? DH knows (obviously), my sister, and my best friend. I'll probably tell immediate family after my first appointment and everyone else at the beginning of 2nd trimester or so.

@foodiebee: I have no idea about the due date - I'm guessing there's a due date calculator for IVF somewhere on the internet!
persimmon / 1141 posts
@foodiebee: @skinnycow: Aww, welcome ladies!! I'm still hopping between this board and the May board but the other one is really really quiet. Most of the due date boards on HB don't have as much action as our POAS boards of late.
I'm just now 6 weeks and have struggled with THE WORST sinus infection. Splitting headache paired with facial / tooth pain. It's that bad from the sinus pressure. It's getting a little better today. I can't tell if it's from the sinus infection or being preggo, but I can hardly taste any food at all. It's like my taste buds stopped working. I don't have nausea yet.. just debilitating fatigue throughout the day and my mouth just feels weird!
@foodiebee: That is SO funny about the hot dog. I don't eat much meat and especially loathe processed meats like hot dogs and deli meat. When I got pregnant with my daughter, I HAD to eat thinly fried spam... barf. Of all things! It was the first time I had ever eaten it in my life. Pregnancy makes you do weird things!

Beta is 403!!
@skinnycow: I found a due date calculate for IVF via Princeton, and it matched pretty closely (just a few days difference) with the app, so I guess it's right and it just doesn't make sense to me.
@SupernovaJ: The sinus infection sounds miserable. I hope it clears up ASAP. And my family will not know what to do if I crave meat for the first time in my life. I guess I'll have to give myself a break and indulge if that happens. I've never had spam either!

@foodiebee: That's great news! I'm anxious for my blood work tomorrow. I peed on a wondfo this morning and it didn't look darker than yesterday but I know those can be a little wonky.
persimmon / 1141 posts
@skinnycow: wondfos in early pregnancy are not great at tracking āprogressionā. I stuck three in the same FMU and the variance among the three tests was crazy. It definitely made me panick when a more recent one looked lighter than the previous. Those didnāt get progressively darker until much later.
pear / 1728 posts
@SupernovaJ: That's comforting! My FRERs got much darker between Saturday and Sunday so that makes me feel less nervous.

@foodiebee: I'm catching up on this board (stalk way too many due date boards), I have to know what religion opposes IVF. Like who would be against making a very wanted baby?
persimmon / 1141 posts
@Sams Mom: Yay Stalking so welcome. I lurk on Oct POAS all day. But seriously what religion? Iām Christian and many of my sisters conceived through IVF and we are so grateful for modern medicine.
kiwi / 662 posts
@SupernovaJ: @Sams Mom: I'm so grateful for modern medicine too! To answer your question about religion, some are Presbyterian and others Evangelical. One example: I was having a conversation with someone earlier this year and she told me about her struggles TTC without knowing mine. She was going to my same clinic (different RE) and she'd told the RE at her first apt that she would not do any IUIs or IVF because it was against her religious beliefs. She doesn't believe in medical interventions that involve conception, she said, and went on to imply that it was morally wrong. I immediately zipped my lips on our own journey. I was shocked and hurt by the whole thing. I remember leaving and crying on the phone in the car to my husband about it. I had never encountered someone with such judgment about it, and it really made it hard for us to open up about it to anyone. (I believe she's Presbterian.)
I'm not in any way ashamed of the path we took to get here and I'd do it again if it gives us the chance to bring a child of our own into the world, but I'm undecided about how best to approach the inevitable announcement at work. It's the gossip, whispers, and judgment I don't look forward to.
persimmon / 1141 posts
@foodiebee: Thatās crazy and Iām so sorry you had that experience. Iām Presbyterian and Iāve never heard of that. In fact, we openly share in small groups about infertility struggles quite often and the options available to us so we can pray for one another whatever options people choose. Thatās certainly not the norm to think IVF āgoes against religionā. No judgment here mama and praying for sticky babies for all of us.

@SupernovaJ: Oh yes, I don't think it's representative. Thank you for being so sweet and supportive!
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@foodiebee: I was raised a sect-ish of Pentecostal (so lots of opinions were had about a lot of things), but never heard anything against ART.
If you want this baby (which should be beyond obvious to anyone especially when you've gone through the lengths you have) then it's ok to make it however it takes.
As to work, tell them to suck it. Yes you might not be that confrontational, but when you do tell and if you tell the how of it be firm with how thankful you are/how glad you are to finally have a baby with your husband. If they have have anything to say about how you got pregnant that's when you tell them it doesn't matter what they think and nothing can take away that joy...
Or finally tell them to go to hell in such a way that you're telling them to enjoy their trip.

Hi ladies!
Iāve been off HB for months after two early losses in 2017/2018. Decided it was time to quit trying and put it in Godās hands. So Iām part stunned and part worried that Iām posting in a due date board. Didnāt notice anything this month (and ironically we only dtd once) so I was finding every excuse to explain a late AF other than pregnancy. With some insomnia - I took at FRER an hour ago and it definitely shows pregnant - the pregnancy line came up in 19 seconds and is seriously darker than the control. No idea what will happen but Iām trying to be hopeful.

First child
First appointment: will get bloodwork confirmed this week and probably will have first appointment in a month. But we just moved back to the US in June to a new location so I may end up with a different timeline as I adjust to Non-German pregnancy care.
Who have I told -just this board. DH is sound asleep and I havenāt mentioned to him my hunch yesterday. He was fine with trying to have kids but also liked the idea of no kids so Iām not certain how he will feel about a baby as this is a huge surprise to us both. I work lots of hours so Iām thinking of chickening out and leaving him a card with a handwritten note congratulating him for his magic sperm given that we only DTD once in September.
Good luck to everyone. I love the discussions on here but may stay a bit quieter on here until i feel more confident that Iāll make it out of the first trimester with a healthy pregnancy. This road is so hard!

@Sams Mom: HAA! That last line made me lol for real. Truly, thank you and @SupernovaJ for making me feel so much better about this.
@MrsJBeeG: Congratulations! I'm a first-timer too. I hope this is your sticky bean and you and your DH are able to celebrate your magical timing without worry (totally get it).

@MrsJBeeG: Yay, welcome! I totally understand being cautious after losses - I hope this is your sticky baby.

Am I missing anyone? Any May honorary mamas want to join? The due date boards are quiet! Crossing fingers we get more June mamas...they are a riot on the Oct POAS board

I'll jump in.
Location: Washington DC
EDD: June 15

First child? No, DS just turned 4, DD is 20 months.
First doctor appointment: I'll stop by tomorrow to get a referral to the OB. Actual appointment should be when I am 7-8 weeks along.
Any symptoms so far? Occasional bloating and more saliva than normal. Nausea hit at 6 weeks on the dot both pregnancies. Not looking forward to that.
Who have you told? Just DH.
persimmon / 1141 posts
@Mrs. Toad: Woo hoo, welcome! Just updated the list.
I'm 6 weeks today and feeling that increased saliva and an awful queasy feeling if I go too long without food. I got morning sickness around 7 weeks with my prior pregnancies. I'm dreading it...
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@SupernovaJ: I'm lurking because I want to be on here so badly! That and I miss you all from the POAS boards!!!
persimmon / 1095 posts
@SupernovaJ: I'm scared. The saliva thing is new with this pregnancy and I very occasionally feel a tiny bit nauseated. With symptoms starting early, I'm worried about twins.

@Sams Mom: Today was my 1st "lurk" here but I felt like a "creepy-creeper" stalking the lucky pregnant ladies, so I had to say SOMETHING. š¤£ Now I feel even weirder ... back to the POAS Board.
kiwi / 662 posts
@skinnycow: Definitely darker! As a former never-POAS, I peed on all the sticks this time and am embarrassed to admit that I kept every one.
@Mrs. Toad: Welcome!
@Kaohinani: Lol! Lurking = love.

@SupernovaJ: I'm totally lurking as I know some of the other June mommas but I'm due the beginning of May so might make you guys feel pregnant forever if I join over here
@MrsJBeeG: Hi! So glad to see you here. Hope this is your sticky baby
@Mrs. Toad: i had much earlier symptoms this time and crazy dark tests at 14dpo and there's only one little in there so fingers crossed you only have one as well

@foodiebee: i still have positive tests in my drawer and I'm 10 weeks today

@foodiebee: I finally threw away my 2 clearblue digitals when I moved a couple years ago. My son was 5 months old.
I would pull them out of the bathroom drawer and check them for some crazy reason up until I felt him move; and still on occasion when I was huge pregnant.
persimmon / 1141 posts
@MamaBear87: You're more welcome to chat on this board anytime. I'm still active on May, too, and am more likely to deliver then vs. June. In an ideal world, I'd combine the two threads... more the merrier.
