First child? Yes
First doctor appointment: Ultrasound 4/5, I have a history of ectopic pregnancy, so just to confirm the baby landed in the right place.
Any symptoms so far? Sore boobs, weird tastes, and SO tired
Who have you told? My husband, both our parents, one of my sisters, my best friend, and my boss. We've had 3 losses in the past 18 months (one miscarriage, two ectopics) and needed all these people and then some, so didn't hold back when we found out. Plus I have to get my blood drawn every two days starting tomorrow, so needed to tell my boss just in case I had to reschedule anything.

First doctor appointment: April 11th
Any symptoms so far? Breast tenderness. No nausea yet, which totally freaks me out. I had tons of nausea last time.
Who have you told? DH, a few daycares and the OB office. I'll tell my boss soon. We want DD to know before any of our family and want an ultrasound/heartbeat before we tell DD.

@schubr03: Congratulations! Sorry about the nausea, that's the worst. So exciting about being in a similar preggo stage as your friend!
@karenbme: I'm so happy to see you here! Congratulations!!!

@SweetCaroline: Thanks! Iโm still a long way from feeling confident Iโll be here in November, but ๐ค

@SweetCaroline: @karenbme: hi guys! Nice to see some other faces here! Iโm not feeling too confident! I started spotting today! So Iโm worried I may be having a chemical.

@schubr03: Some spotting can be normal. I had some yesterday, but it stopped quickly. Fingers crossed that the same is true for you. ๐ค๐ค

Hi, everyone!
Location: near Chicago, IL
EDD: 11/19/19
How far along: 5+2
First child? No, I have a 5yo
First doctor appointment: I have a history of MC (4 in a row before this) and see an RE, so I've been doing betas and had my first ultrasound today.
Any symptoms so far? I'm on estrogen and progesterone supplements. I have sore nipples and mild nausea that's been coming on a little bit. Not much cramping so far.
Who have you told? My DH (of course!), my parents - we're leaving on a week-long trip with them on Sunday and they will definitely notice if I'm not drinking. Plus we're taking our son to Legoland and I won't be able to do the rollercoasters. And 2 co-workers - I teach middle school boys with severe autism who can get aggressive so I need a few co-workers to know for safety

Iโve got my first blood draw this morning and Iโm feeling pretty good about it. FRER this morning was darker than the control, which Iโve never seen before, so ๐ค๐ค๐ค Line progression is below with today on top, 2 days ago on bottom.

Well, the spotting wasnโt normal. Passed a pretty large clot this morning and took a negative test. Feeling disappointed and sad.

@karenbme: that is so awesome! Love that dark line. Excited for your blood draw today.

@SweetCaroline: Thanks! Will update when I get the result My guess is ~300, but I'm not going to be heartbroken if it's 200 or even a little less.

The level came back at 408! I'm so relieved and excited. Even with my first EP where the level got really high it started at 4+2 at only 79. And now I need to get from my office to the bathroom at the other end of the hallway without anyone seeing me because I don't want to have to explain why I'm sobbing.

Hi ladies! Here goes nothing...
Location: New York, NY
EDD: ~November 25, 2019
How far along: 4+5
First child? No, third. DS is 3 and DD is 8 months.
First doctor appointment: Had one yesterday. Go back in 2 weeks for real due date estimating, etc.
Any symptoms so far? Very few. A few nights of vivid dreams. And last night I got out of a cab ride feeling nauseous and they were cleaning my building lobby, and the smell nearly made me barf. So I feel like the nausea is coming.
Who have you told? DH, and my doctor, and that's it. I'm about to go to lunch and will tell one of my close friends.
This pregnancy was quite a surprise. We were on the fence about having three, but leaning against. My littlest one is still just 8 months! Honestly, this week has been kind of a roller coaster adjusting to the idea of doing everything all over again way sooner than we planned, and imagining the impact on our existing kids, plus my job. But eventually the excitement of another little baby won out, and we realized maybe the best thing that could have happened is that we're somewhat cornered into taking a leap on 3. I'm starting to feel super excited about it! That said, I'm not going to tell anyone except a few close friends for quite some time. I just need some time to adjust. I think people are going to be shocked and assume it was unplanned (which, I mean, it was, but also that's not anyone's business) and I'm definitely far from ready to deal with that. So thanks in advance for letting me share my excitement here with you all!

@karenbme: sounds like great numbers! very excited for you!
@schubr03: very sorry to hear this. hugs to you.

@SweetCaroline: Happy to see you here, too! Congrats! Do you think you'll wait until 12 weeks to tell your DD or will you just wait until you hear the heartbeat? I'm trying to decide how long to wait until we tell our 5 year old.
pear / 1718 posts
@Chuckles: My first appointment isn't until 11 weeks, so if all goes well we will tell her after that. I ordered (stupid early, I know) a shirt off Etsy last night for her. It says "I have a secret..." on the front and "I'm going to be a big sister!" on the back.

@nwm: Congratulations! So exciting even though it's a wild ride for you!

EDD: End of November. By LMP, 11/25, by O date 12/3. I think they will probably go by the dating scan but I don't really know. I'm tempted to just change my LMP but I totally trust my OB, so I'll just give her all of this info and let her decide I'll get induced at 39 weeks (I have a history of big babies and difficult deliveries) so it will be a November baby regardless!
How far along: like 5 minutes.
First child? 4th! I have 3 boys--almost 5, 2.5, and 14 months.
First doctor appointment: I still need to schedule it
Any symptoms so far?: Friggin sore boobs. Aaaaaand the nausea is already coming. I've had it really really badly with all of my pregnancies. I just ordered like $75 worth of supposed remedies off of Amazon. I don't even care if it's placebo at this point, I just reeeallllly don't want to be sick for 20 weeks again! It's so hard when you have other little people to be taking care of!
Who have you told? Just DH! And you guys, I guess. Haha.
@schubr03: So sorry
@karenbme: Your numbers are AWESOME!! Are they getting you in for a scan when they hit 2,000? Or what is the plan?
@SweetCaroline: One of my friend is expecting her third and has no nausea, even though she had it BAD with her previous two. Maybe you're just lucky! I think supposedly it's less common in subsequent pregnancies (although that hasn't been the case for me )
@Chuckles: Yay!
@nwm: I got pregnant when DS2 was only 10 months. So a little bit older than your's, but still a baby. It was a more difficult transition than from 1 to 2 (with a 2y3m gap) but obviously, totally doable! Someday they will be such great playmates! Kind of crazy that you were on the fence about 3 and the universe decided for you!

@bees_knees: congrats!!! that is very encouraging about your experience moving from 2 to 3-- and now a fourth! so exciting! i really hope the nausea is more manageable for you this time.
persimmon / 1064 posts
@nwm: yes! I should add that it was more difficult transition for *me*, but not for our kids. They adjusted perfectly! And obviously we weren't too scarred from it, since we are having another (this age gap should be 22 months!)
4 kids in 5 years. I'm just praying it's not twins
persimmon / 1419 posts
@nwm: Congratulations! Yay for happy accidents!
@bees_knees: So excited for you! And even if it is twins, once you get to 4 how much harder can 5 be?
@Chuckles: @nwm: @SweetCaroline: @bees_knees: Thanks!!! Until we know what the rise looks like, we'll keep the ultrasound we have scheduled for 6 weeks (4/5), but I'm really hoping it doubles quickly and I can move the ultrasound up to next week. DH and I have a long weekend planned for the weekend of the 30th, and I would so love to have clear good news before we go away.

First child? 3rd!! DD is 3.5, DS is 9 months.
First doctor appointment: Apr 9
Any symptoms so far? Morning sickness, one food aversion, exhaustion, and so freaking bloated.
Who have you told? All the teachers at daycare because I had to get a spot in the fall and they gossip
This was a spur of the moment NTNP (Valentines Day no less). I donated all of my maternity clothing and both LO's outgrown clothing because we were sooooo done having babies after DS (he spent 8 weeks in the hospital due to complications from heart surgery at 5 days old).
persimmon / 1064 posts
@karenbme: whatโs one more?! (kidding. Still praying there is only one. I used to think twins would be so fun...until I had DS1. Now I canโt even imagine how exhausting it would be
@Ms. RV: DS2 and DS3 are 19 months apart. Someday they will be best buddies! Bummer you gave all your stuff away though
pear / 1930 posts
@bees_knees: I keep telling myself that none of it would fit anyways because I am 10lbs up from before having kids
persimmon / 1419 posts
@bees_knees: twins run in DHโs family so literally any time any of his siblings announce MIL mentions twins and how great they are. Thankfully for me theyโre fraternal which means it follows the women, not the men.
