@Lilbear: I love Finn! That's on my list too but my husband said no because of Glee.
@reverie: Olivia Grace is beautiful! Grace was the middle name I was totally going with if we had a girl (*sigh*, Madeleine Grace, would have saved ourselves so many name debates if I was having a girl...)
And this sounds SO self centered, but I didn't even think about the bills (I'm Canadian, it never occurs to me)! I'm sorry, what a hassle.
@Mrs D: I also love Kate. Good names on this board! Is it short for Katherine/Kathleen/something else? And your list is so nice! I especially love Abigail and Clara. And so your girls would have the same middle name? Interesting! Abigail Lynn flows nicely.
@Alivoo01: It's funny, I think Riley is adorable but I'm less of a fan of Rylie, even though they're the same name! I have a niece named Rhylie and it makes me crazy. There is no need for that H!

@reverie: Love Olivia Grace...so cute! I know what you mean about bills - I have gotten one for my 1 hospital visit and it was $600 (I was happy - the bill itself was $8K) still waiting on the other one!!!
@Lilbear: We just had a friend have a Nolan...they call him Noley...so cute!!! Finn is great too!
@Alivoo01: Reilly is my nieces name - please dont spell it that way!!! I like the way you have chosen!!!
@erinbaderin: Kate is short for Katherine...I call her Katie some time too! Thanks - I love the names!!! Yes - all girls have Lynn for middle names - I guess I am not wed to it but my sister and I both continued the tradition with our first girls so I would feel bad leaving this one out!

@erinbaderin: @Lilbear: @Mrs D: Thanks Grace is a family name so it was almost 100% going to be the middle name. Olivia I really fell for... I'm a little not thrilled with it's popularity but I'm one of SEVEN people at my job with my first name and have survived to 32 so I guess it isn't the end of the world to have a common name!

@reverie: hi, my name is Jessica...4 others went home from the hospital the day I did...common name curse there are worse things in the world...

@reverie: In high school I played on a hockey team - out of 16 girls 4 of us were Erin. At a certain point it gets funny, but I never resented it.

@Alivoo01: Love Riley! I think the Rylie spelling is cute, too, but I'd pick the more popular spelling.
@reverie: I think of Olivia as a beautiful, classic name...it's always going to enjoy some degree of popularity. Like others have said, most people with common names are no worse for the wear! (At least I'm really hoping this to be true since I'm the mom of a Liam.)
@Lilbear: Love all your choices but Nolan is my favorite!
@erinbaderin: I've heard of a few Lincolns lately - adorable name!
@Mrs D: Most of your names were also on our list...Clara and Brooke were near the top for me but my DH nixed.
Right now we are trying to decide between Eloisa/Ellie and Lucy. I think we're leaning toward Lucy Rose but my guess is it will come down to the line with this one!
grapefruit / 4545 posts
@MoreCoffee: My sisters daughter is Ellie (Eleanor) I love it! And there is a little girl in Kates daycare names Lucy...I love her name...so sweet!

@erinbaderin: LOL!!! yea, we saw some spellings and were like seriously people?! Like Reileigh. Whoa!! Poor girl's going to be in like 5th grade by the time she learns to spell her name. lol

@momtimes3: Fingers crossed for you and your babies! Hope the time goes by quick until your next appointment!
Wow I am so behind on this thread! We have just found out that we should be able to move house in late Nov / early Dec so I have a lot of getting organised to do!
Loving all the names everyone is coming up with! @Lilbear: my DS middle name is Finn so I am a big fan of that!

@mrsrain: we have an Oliver (Oliver Michael). It got really popular out of nowhere right after we had him which was a bit strange. But we still love the name.
nectarine / 2458 posts
@Mrs D: it's going. We're staying with DHs uncle for a bit in North Carolina and I'm over it. I'm ready to get to our new place and get our stuff. The drive was rough, I'm still stiff. We head up to Maryland early Thursday, sign papers on our house on base, then our stuff gets delivered Friday. Then the real fun begins, lol.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@momtimes3: When's your appt? 1/2lb isn't bad so hopefully she's just petite and all is well!
@Navy_Mommy: Oh man! Good luck!!
nectarine / 2458 posts
@Alivoo01: we'll be hitting up Ikea within a week to get stuff for the big boys' room. Wes is getting a loft bed and Oliver is taking over his toddler bed (which is basically a mattress on the ground, lol). So first I'll have to do their room then I can focus on the baby's nursery.
And this house is very dark compared to our old house and I thrive on natural light. I already warned DH I'm gonna be purchasing quite a few large mirrors to help, lol.
nectarine / 2115 posts
@Navy_Mommy: the popularity is its only down/side, but it is a small price to pay for a name we can agree on! I hope everything goes well with signing papers, etc! Living in limbo is so difficult!
Almost 21 weeks! I really think I must have popped because I've been getting comments from friends and family that I definitely look pregnant now!
nectarine / 2458 posts
@mrsrain: we struggled coming up with Wesley's name then agreed on Oliver Michael really easily! This go I really like Ezra, but it reminds DH of the band better than Ezra. DH liked Xavier but that's a family name for my uncle (who married my mom's sister) so I'm not down with that.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Navy_Mommy: Ah on a dark house. Does it lack windows or just the way it's positioned?
@mrsrain: DH made the comment "wow. your belly is really big!" the other morning. I was like uh... it's been kind of big from the beginning (I showed earlier and look further along than I did with DS). But I was like where have you been homie?! lol
nectarine / 2458 posts
@Alivoo01: just less windows. Plus we went from central California (all sun all the time) to southern Maryland which actually has like clouds and rain and stuff, lol.

@Navy_Mommy: It's stuff delivery day! I hope it's going well!
@momtimes3: Hoping things go well!
@mrsrain: My boss told me the other day "Wow, you're really starting to look pregnant." Plus a number of other people I work with have been congratulating me in the last two weeks, but I'm pretty sure that's because my boss had a dinner with all the other bosses and told them I was pregnant (she said to me after "They didn't know! I guess they thought you were just getting fat!" which made me laugh and laugh).
@MoreCoffee: I love both Ellie and Lucy. Lucy Rose is lovely!
We decided this week that we're not moving B into a new room and keeping the nursery, which I feel so much better about (even though it was my idea) - I was so stressed about taking away his room and how he'd feel about it, plus the other room has a door to a balcony and I worried we'd spend all our time fielding "Go outside?" requests. But the only thing it really changes is that we'll move the crib, give B the toddler bed in the room he's currently in, and then the new dresser etc. will go to the new baby instead. It also gives us a few extra months to get that room done, which is a relief (wanted to have it done by December to give B lots of time to deal with the transition, now we don't have to).

@Loscato: Hooray! (I hope. You seem excited. Yay for more boys!) Congrats!

@erinbaderin: Yes! This is great news for us. We already have a daughter, and wanted one of each.

@Loscato: Congrats!!!
@erinbaderin: Its such a relief to feel progress (either actual physical or just in decision making). My mom came and we spent like 2 hours Sunday just sorting stuff (K's old clothes) and deciding what would go where in K's new room...it was such a small task but just made me feel so much better!
I just bought #2's nursery bedding! I found a crib skirt I LOVED but was struggling to find a pink bumper to match it. So I caved and bought the cream/gold one in the set to match the crib skirt. I got a pink sheet and a white sheet...so I'll just do more pops of pink on the walls!!! Feels good to cross it off my list...plus 20% off entire purchase and 20% back in rewards!
Going to BBB this weekend to pick up a set of LifeFactory bottles to take to DC and see if they will allow. They had told me "no glass bottles" but when I pushed a little harder and let them know that 1) these are no flimsy glass and 2) they are virtually covered in rubber they said they'd be happy to take a look and then decide.
Here is the bedding!!!
pomelo / 5573 posts
@Mrs D: That bedding is beautiful! Great pick! I'd be interested in a nursery thread!
Is anybody else finding they're not doing so well at making healthy food choices? I'm using "I'm pregnant!" way too often, I think. Which is how I found myself, at 8pm today, going to the grocery store for a bag of chips.

Anyone dealing with constipation? It's been days! I'm taking magnesium but it's not helping much. I guess I need to guzzle a ton of water.
apricot / 451 posts
@mrsrain: I was the queen of constipation during my last pregnancy! This time around, I take a prenatal vitamin that has a stool softener included in it (citranatal) and it has changed my life!
nectarine / 2115 posts
@Lilbear: I hadn't thought of a stool softener, I'll have to look into that! Thanks!
pomelo / 5573 posts
@Loscato: That's awesome! Also interesting, because it made me realize - I think that pretty much everybody on this board who already had a kid of one sex is having a second of the same sex, am I right? I don't feel like we've had a lot of "I already have one, now I'm having the other" posts. And actually in my real life, most of the people I know who have two kids have two of the same sex.
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@Loscato: Congrats on your lil boy!!
@erinbaderin: Hooray for less stress! I know my lil boy would always ask to go outside! He's an outdoor baby. Even if it's raining, he wants to go outside. Sigh.
@Mrs D: Love the gold!
@erinbaderin: I'm currently in the "if I eat too much or eat too fast, I get super uncomfortable" phase. Ugh. And for some reason, there are days when I eat and can't get comfy afterwards (whether sitting or standing) and need to throw up. Gross.
@mrsrain: YES!!!!!!!!!!! I take colace religiously and it's still a struggle. Sucks man! I was regular with DS when I became pregnant and it was amazing since I'm not regular non-pregnant either.
@erinbaderin: My first was a boy, I'm pregnant with a girl this time around. We're pretty excited (and scared) to be having one of each! Especially since girls are super rare in my family!
