@junebugmama: Welcome to the May mommas! I'm so excited for you!
@Coopersmama: Yes to the bloating! And to your TMI too - same boat over here.
@Apex: Still sending lots of love to you and your quads. I think about you guys all the time! How often are you having appointments?
@whodat: Yay for your upcoming appointment. I have another one on Monday too!

@mrsog: sorry you took a turn for the worse and had to throw up at work! Yuck! Hope tomorrow is a better day!

@junebugmama: yay! Welcome to another May mama. I think I am about a week behind you and I am also chasing a toddler. There are a few of us who already have munchkins at home so we can commiserate!

@whodat: thanks for the link to maternity clothes! I got my maternity jeans at gap last time and loved them. But I got some cute stuff at thrift stores too. I have been feeling superstitious and not wanting to buy anything until I see the baby and heartbeat at my appt. I know it is silly and I did break my own rule by buying a super cheap maternity dress at target, but...

Read lots of posts but replying from my blackberry is so painful, lol.
I am siiiick. Like in the bathroom early eve, then right to bed (and now wide awake, ugh) I don't think preg sick, but I near wanted to die earlier my guts were so messed up. Hope it doesn't follow me to tomorrow.
papaya / 10343 posts
@MamaCate: I was the same way! I didn't buy anything before I saw the heartbeat because I didn't want to jinx it! Even now I really haven't bought anything (I'll be 10 weeks sunday). I did buy 2 maternity shirts online because they were on sale but they came in and I hate them so I have to return them. Fail
@Beebug: that sounds awful! I hope you feel better today

I just bought some stuff of Zulily, but I have a secretPinterest boards with maternity fashion. I am so ready to get some stuff especially since my bloating is out of control. At the same times need to pack away my summer clothes, so until I do that and 'evaluate' my winter closet, no shopping yet.
Am I the only one who feels like life is going in slow motion? Since we found out it feels like weeks are so much longer and next doc appt and week 12 is taking wayyyyyyyy to long to get here. Is this what life being pregnant and having an infant is about? Lots of waiting and nerves and a test of my patience?
I need to go meditate!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Coopersmama: aw! I felt like that at first (that the days were crawwwwling by) but I think it is worse when you're close to something. Like the week before I told my parents. The week of my first ultrasound. etc.
Now that I'm past my first ultrasound and we've basically told everyone, life feels normal again. I don't really have anything exciting to look forward to until my 20 week ultrasound (since we aren't doing the 12 week one and regular doc appts don't really excite me). So now I'm just living my life trying not to puke every day
cherry / 129 posts
@mae. Lol at trying not to puke through your life. I guess I should embrace my gassy, bloated self.
I had my first ultrasound and it went well, but I still have only told a few close friends and family. My employees are going to freak when they find out!

@junebugmama: Welcome!!!
@Coopersmama: No crazy bloating, is it all the time for you?
@Apex: My goodness on the one day at a time stuff, hugs and positive thoughts, if all four stick will you be keeping all four? I'm sorry if that is a very forward question, please do not feel you have to answer!
@Mae: I saw the clock last around 3:30am last night, and was up again 5:18. Nothing like after the first day of work I keep myself up all night, and not my kid. DH and I are driving 4 hours after our work days tonight too for a hockey game, it's gonna be a loooong day.
@Coopersmama: I think I "know" how fast time does go that I am trying not to think right now how slow it feels like time is going preggo wise. Trying to focus on other stuff and how fast that time goes.....if that makes any sense? Next thing you know we'll all be 20w and we'll be like "omg halfway!" and wonder where the time went! I am like that right now with my Oct Momma's as our little one's turn one this month, we are all thinking back to this time last year as we went into labour one by one and came back to the boards to announce baby arrival's. It feels like yesterday, insanity!!!
It is pretty dang crazy being back at work and preggo again. I think people have an idea I am hoping to have another soon, but it will be SO funny when we announce and slightly scary for some, I was gone so long and so suddenly last time that they realized how much I actually do, so I think many were happily looking to dump my own stuff back on me.....and in some cases won't get to if all continues to go well!!
Happy Friday ladies.
I am going to throw up some pics of my SILs gender neutral nursery for team green inspiration mentioned a few pages back!! They had a boy last weekend.

ps I forgot to mention to you ladies when I got my maternity stuff out, something I forgot about! Bra extenders!!! For those who still fit okay cupwise, I found I really expanded around my ribcage and needed more around space, those were awesome to have!

@MamaCate: @Mae: I'm neurotic so I spend all this time looking at maternity clothes online but I haven't bought any and don't plan on buying any until 12 weeks at least. Last time I bought a bunch of stuff from Old Navy that ended up fading and shrinking and this time I feel like I want to spend some money on a few things that I can feel good in, and then just get some cheaper basics from Target or whatnot.
Not to brag, but I actually still fit in my clothes. I just tend to wear looser shirts to cover up my pooch, but really I have a pooch from the first two anyway. Last time I was so bloated and ate so much that I had to start going up two sizes by 8-10 weeks. Gained 60+ pounds in the end. Fingers crossed so hard that I can keep it to around 40 this time.

@Beebug: what a gorgeous nursery!!! I'm slightly jealous I'll have to post some pics of our nursery...I'll have to tidy it up a bit first since DD LOVES throwing her books all over the floor and I'm feeling to sick to even pick those up!
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@cookie_dough: isn't it amazing?
I went crazy with #1's nursery, we moved in August and now she kinda has a kid room, we will start over in another room for #2, I already have her change table in there and kept it out of her new room! I need to go find pics of her original one, I have no idea what I will do this time, don't even want to think about it really, we waited until like a month before to do it last time.

@Beebug: I'm seriously drooling...over the room AND the McDonald's hahaha! I went out for vietnamese food for lunch and it actually made my stomach feel great and I DON'T feel like throwing up for the first time all week. It's nice to have some temporary relief! I also have a small collection of McDonald's monopoly pieces sitting on my kitchen counter...so embarrassed
pomegranate / 3595 posts
@Beebug: I drove by McDonald's this morning and was struck by a craving for fries! So weird because I never eat them. I am eating saltines and doing paperwork at my desk now, but considering making a run at lunch...I am so glad you posted this b/c I was feeling a little nuts!

@cookie_dough: omg I've gotten pho twice this week! It makes my tummy feel so good.

@whodat: I had vermicelli! mmmmmmmmm...I find it so nice and refresing! I added a ton of hot sauce too...this baby seems to like spicy food

@junebugmama: Congrats and welcome! I am also chasing around a toddler. It can be really tough some days!
@Beebug: How are you feeling? I love the gender neutral nurseries. DS also has a gender neutral room but it's quite a bit brighter. Yellow with white and bright turquoise accents. It's cute but definitely very "kiddie".
@whodat: I also still fit in my clothes and did the last time until after the first trimester I think. We are trying to sell our house so hopefully I won't have to pull out the maternity clothes until we move. I'm a SAHM so it's ok if I wear yoga pants 99% of the time, right?
OK is it possible for morning sickness to really only start at 9 weeks? I've generally felt kind of yucky for a while but last night I threw up for the first time and I feel yucky today too. Last time I was sick from like 6 weeks and throwing up every day. Ugh I don't want that again!

OMG/ the mcdonalds commentary is cracking me up. Last night out of the blue I really wanted mcdonalds fries. I did get them, had two bites and then did not want them any more. Then I wanted mint chocolate chip ice cream. I don't even think I have had that before so I am not sure why I was wanting that. Today, I want Ethiopian food. This blueberry sized person in me has the weirdest taste!
But I still have to take GasX after each meal!

Those nurseries may have just started off my nesting. Soooo darn cute!!!!
pomegranate / 3917 posts
I have never had pho! I want to try it! Is it spicy? I don't do spice, ever.
pomegranate / 3595 posts
@skipra: I would looove to be in yoga pants 99% of the time! I put them on as soon as I get home from work!
No nausea here yet but I am only 7 weeks today. My taste buds have been a little off but manageable so far,,,fx it stays that way here and gets better for you soon!

@Beebug: Not spicy at all, unless you add hot sauce. It's chicken noodle soup basically, with some extra toppings like basil and lime. Really gentle on your stomach and awesome when you're sick.

lol'ing at all the McDs talk. I'm not a McDs person at all but I totally had Cane's for lunch. It is a chicken place, for those not familiar, but I didn't even want the chicken I just wanted the FRIES. I got an order of fries and a piece of texas toast and ate 1 chicken tender lol.

TGIF ladies. Hope everyone has nice and restfull weekends. My work week is ending and I am going home and throwing on sweatpants and watching movies tonight with DH. These nights are usually accompanied by a bottle of wine so that will be missed but itd ok. I'm sure I will make up for it with some kind of weird random food I pick up from the store on my way home!

@mrsog: Your evening plans sound great! Only another hour left of work for me - I can't wait to get home and out of my casual Friday jeans (doing the rubber band trick today, hahah).

@mrsog: woot! movie night here too. I usually have hot chocolate spiked with Bailey's and it will certainly be missed.
I'm so happy for a slow weekend! I have a wedding and two newborn shoots in queue to edit. My newborn shoot this morning was SO fun though. She was a tiny little thing, only about 5.5 lbs and sooooo cute and sleepy. It was making me a bit excited for my own

welcome to @kentuckygirl. You can confess all your McDonalds cravings, bloatedness and farting episodes. We won't judge.
@Beebug- Pho is one of my favorite dishes. Not spicy at all. I like the beef pho.
So ladies...... I have news...... I just bought some new maternity clothes online from ASOS, Old Navy, and pink blush. I can't believe I am 'dressing my bump'!

Ahhhhh, while we're 'fessing up to mcd runs and farting episodes.... I just ate a whole pint of blue bell cookies n cream ice cream myself in less than 10 minutes. I just wanted a taste. But that taste was so good and easy on the tum... Not proud.

I ate half a bag of skittles at 11 pm last night...in bed. And I'm not talking one of those small bags...full on movie theater bag! And now I'm eating more of them at 7h55 am...in bed hahaha

Our little blueberries in our bellies are quite the demanding lot- McDonalds, skittles, ice cream!
Has anyone settled in names yet?
pomegranate / 3917 posts
I just finished some ketchup chips and chocolate milk, lol. That's so not a preggo snack for me, I'd eat that anyday
@Coopersmama: names. Oye. DD was here for half a day before we named her. DH and I both work in education so names are tough for us, but as of now our girl front runner name is Jillian, boy Connor. Gosh knows we will change 8 zillion times until baby is here, and beyond then too
