@Beebug: the only person I am excited to tell is my mom. my sister has 3 girls so this will be her first grandson and I think she will be thrilled.

@mrsog: So much self-control to wait until Christmas! I had my husband text our parents IN the ultrasound room while waiting for the dr. to come in after our scan, haha. Then I ran back to work and told everyone too. I just can't keep a secret about anything.

@twodoghouse: When we were going to find out gender, our idea was to tell fam on Christmas, too! We would be across country with DHs, skype with mine, and do leave the reveal with them and us all do it at once, but that went to crap, ha!
It just feels so easy to cave right now, I know once we get by tomorrow it won't feel so temping!

@twodoghouse: lol its not easy! especially bc right after we visited my SIL in the hospital with her new baby boy - I wanted to tell them sooo bad. But I really think it will be fun to tell at xmas when everyone is together.

@twodoghouse: we're the same way! DH and I don't keep anything secret from family and close friends. With DS, the grandparents and my sister found out about the baby literally after the test turned positive. We texted it was a boy right after the ultrasound. And with baby #2 they found out the next day at DS' 1st birthday party.

@mrsog: so much self control to wait! My parents came to our anatomy scan so they were in the room when the tech said she *thought* it was a girl. Then they went out to the waiting room while the tech did the internal u/s to check my placenta and that is when she got the clear "definitely a girl" shot. My husband texted my mom in the waiting room before the u/s was even finished! lol I'm like "omg are you texting ppl already?" he's like welllll just your mom!

ANATOMY SCAN DAY!!!!
Thankfully I have lots to keep me busy this am, my secret hair hacking appt at 12:30, then 3pm prenatal and hopefully 4:30 will come quick!!!

I haven't felt baby move all morning which is worrying me a little. Usually he's active by breakfast time. I did feel him bouncing around at 4 am when I woke from a killer leg cramp so maybe he's just snoozing. Doctor appointments get me so nervous!

@Glitter: I am going to do before/after pics, not telling DH until he see's me at appt! I "made" him cut his hair last week (he had a gross hockey hair mullet going on....lol) so hopefully he will like my cut, too!! Hope you feel movement again soon, funny how we get into a routine so easily of expecting movement once it becomes consistent and it can so easily throw one off when they don't move at normal times!! #1 chose to do that the day of my SIL/BILs wedding two summer's ago, argh I was a wreck.

@Glitter: I'm the same way! I have a doc appt today too, just a check-up, and while I"m mostly excited to hear the HB again and get the all-clear for another month, I can't help be neurotic and worry something will be wrong!

@Glitter: lol right! My appt is in 1.5 hrs @ 1045 here. I mean, I'm sure everything is fine! I haven't had any worrying symptoms to discuss and I just felt her moving around, so presumably her heartbeat will be just fine. I just…. have to worry hah

Quick update: anatomy scan went well and baby boy is doing awesome. All measurements were good. We were able to see four heart chambers. He has my big head and nose! DH is not too happy about that lol. He weighed in at 287g which is normal for 19w3d. At another doc now with DH, seems he's coming down with something. Sigh.

@Beebug: Doesn't sound like your husband is going to be at the anatomy scan? Perhaps tell the tech to tell you and then tell your husband she slipped up?
@Glitter: Glad the scan went well! Bummer your hubs is coming down with something though.
Appointment today went well! Baby was super cooperative and we got to hear the heartbeat the second she put the wand on my stomach! 140 bpm. Also my blood pressure was normal again this time, so I really think that 16week bp was just an anomaly due to my stressful week/day. Also I weighed exactly the same as my 16 week appt. So, holding steady at -5 from BFP date or -2 from doc's 8 week date. Super happy about that considering how little I'm supposed to gain over all.
Lastly, I got my glucose drink and instructions today! I have to do the 1 hr test at my next appointment in January. I hope I pass!!!

@Beebug: DH and I are all about being Team Green again but I admit I almost found out at the anatomy scan since I was alone! I did the so you know what the baby is now? Here is my guess lol. However I didn't find out since I did enjoy the surprise the first time. Oh and my midwife said the tech doesn't write what the babe is so they won't accidentally spill the beans. Good luck with your hair and appointment! Exciting either way

I measured my belly today to compare with how big it was at this time with R and I am 3 inches bigger then I was with her! I am definitely showing a lot more and I love it

Though we totally think the tech blew it at the end when he said "little buddy" meaning boy, buuuuuut who knows!
I loooove my new hair, doc appt was good, weight was 160lbs, finally gained! Bp was 110/68, normal for me. U/S was awesome, long as baby would not stop moving! I was all over the table on my sides, as close to on my belly as I could with tech still able to do U/S! We didn't get a profile shot at all, but have a front facing face shot that looks scary, lol. Saw the legs, arms, feet, hands, heart and chambers, brain, spine, rib cage, etc. it was really great!
My doc had my EDD as May 8th/ me 20w1d, as that is what the last U/S dated me at, but May 12th is the dating ultrasound date and because May 8th isn't more than 2w from that date it stays as is, plus gosh knows babes will come whenever he or she is ready anyways! lol
I have 8 printed pics, will get my DSLR out to try to take pics of them to get on here, honestly only 2 are that awesome, rest are hard to make out!
