@Beebug: aww your hair looks gorgeous!! Also glad to hear all went well at your appointment!
How do you feel with the cut? I used to cut my hair OFTEN and very short and it always felt so freeee and liberating! I just love hair changes. I think after delivery I'm gonna go with something very different and exciting.
@Mae: Yay for no weight gain! I gained only 2 lbs between the last appointment and now, which puts me at 161 (according to my doc's (faulty) scale). I find that so hard to believe because I FEEL bigger. In my tummy obviously but also in my arms and legs so I dunno :S
I might take a bump pic today. My outfit shows it off clearly but I feel so blehhh today that I didn't even wear makeup and pics without makeup tend to be a little scary... especially with all this pregnancy acne. lol. Not much to do at work today so I might just go to the bathroom and pretty up a bit.

@Beebug: So impressed that you stayed strong and didn't find out Glad that everything looked good! And loveeee the hair cut. I would love to have shorter hair, but i have very thick/wavy hair (that I have to straighten to wear down) so if I had shorter hair, it would just stick out and look funny. Yours looks amazing, I'm jealous hahaha!
@gingerblonde: yayyy, good luck today!!!

@Glitter: Yea I mean I am definitely growing stomach-wise. But I was heavy to start with so I assume I'm just losing fat while growing baby. I feel like my face is slightly thinner, and also I've been feeling like my collar bones are sticking out more than they did before. So I think everything for me is just redistributing to belly haha. Also, I makeup but wear it like 1/week. Lazy for the win… heh
@gingerblonde: yayyy!!!

@Mae: Yes! I remember you being concerned about your weight at the beginning of pregnancy. I'm happy it's working out for you - at a good weight yet not over-gaining. And post-pregnancy it only makes it that much easier.
I'm hoping that I can breastfeed successfully and that would be my daily exercise because I can be such a lump!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Glitter: breastfeeding counts as exercise?!?! they should put that on the front of every brochure!
persimmon / 1281 posts
@Mae: well I hear you can lose a lot of weight from it burning calories... sounds like exercise to me!
pomegranate / 3350 posts
@Beebug: Yay for a healthy baby and staying team green! So much fun! Love the hair cut. It really suits you.
@gingerblonde: Good luck today!
@Mae: I don't think it counts as exercise as you don't get your heart rate up, but you burn an extra 500 calories a day. So you can eat the same or more as when you were pregnant and still lose weight

So I went to the bathroom to take a belly pic and see if that would perk me up - DH is at home sick in bed, I am 2 hrs away from home at work, at a job I am resenting more and more daily, and guess what?! That photo shoot session turned out to be a real pick-me-upper! You ladies should try it when you're having an off day

@Beebug: yay for a good appt and I can't believe you held out! good for you!! love the cut too - I usually do the dramatic long to short but I am enjoying my long hair right now. We will see when baby comes if I cut it off tho.
@gingerblonde: Good luck today!
@Glitter: love the photo shoot! you look great!

@Mae: Thaaanks!
@Glitter: Loving the cut! I needed it, and am really happy I paid more this time to "get" a better cut and definitely feel that happened, and definitely no regrets!
@gingerblonde: Yay for anatomy scan! Hope all goes well, and can't wait to hear back!
@cookie_dough: Thaaanks!!
@skipra: Thaaanks!
@Glitter: too fun on the photoshoot, that is awesome!!!!
@mrsog: Thank-you!!

I just had DD at work with me for the first hour, she is such a shy girl to start before she is a ham! I let her have a candy cane while I actually got a bit done! DH is off today, so he went to get a few groceries to last us until we fly (Sunday) and fuel up my rig so we don't have to do it over the weekend! He just came by, dropped me a tea and she went home with him, nice start to a Friday before Christmas!
I have my strip of u/s pics on my desk, and between that and my hair, and DD here it's been a fun day with others stopping in!

@HayleyJane: I understand. I have to wait until January 8! But I think the holidays will make the time go by faster.

So I hit 21 weeks today and my pregnancy app told me the baby is now 1 lb. A whole pound! Seems so big to me! But then maybe also small since she's over half cooked and still has to grow like, at least 600% haha (but from embryo to 1 lb has got to be like, 10,000% right? so still impressive).

Hi, everyone! Such exciting news all the way around! Maybe all of us Team Green-ers are girl mamas and we'll even out our count in May?!
We have our anatomy scan tomorrow -- hooray! We are committed to staying surprised, but man, knowing that we could know tomorrow is totally weird. I'm really excited to see the baby again - hopefully it looks a little more human than it did at 8 weeks!
It's been a crazy few weeks around here getting ready for Christmas. I have to admit that I'll be glad when it's over so we can focus on baby stuff! I am starting to feel the crunch for starting the nursery and coming up with some names for this little bugger!
I am officially unable to hide being pregnant, though what I'm wearing really seems to determine the size of the bump. No leg cramps or anything yet, gratefully! I do feel like I have more energy - it happened gradually but all of a sudden I feel a lot more like myself than I did.
I've felt a few solid kicks with my hand, and my husband got to feel one the other day. He's been like everyone else - 5 seconds with his hand on my belly and he gives up. His face when he felt the kick was priceless though -- he literally jumped backward and had the craziest grin!
I'll update you after our visit. Praying that we have a healthy, non-eventful visit tomorrow!
Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates... xoxo to all of you!

@tarabonno: aw, have fun at your appointment tomorrow!! I have to say, for as obsessed as I was with finding out what we were having (VERY), when it looked like we might not find out due to an uncooperative LO I was sort of surprisingly okay with it. It's SO COOL to see the baby moving around and see all the body parts, it's enough.

Late to the party but seeing as you're short on little girls for May...count me in to help even the score, please!
I'm due with Baby #2, a girl, on May 15th, but if she's anything like her big sister (18 months old), I suspect we may see her as early as the end of April. All's well so far with this pregnancy, and my next appointment is an anatomy scan on Jan 2nd at 21 wks+.
Looking forward to chatting with other May mamas.

20w for me today! Insanity, where is the time going!!!!!
@Mae: Wooo, new list! Thanks! @junebugmama: did it in a different thread but is having another May boy annnnnd I believe @Mrs. Sea Otter: is Team Blue as well and that puts us into the double digits with boys, eeeeep!
For next list, lol.
@tarabonno: Hope appt goes well, honestly anatomy scan day was so, so awful for me, and of course it wouldn't have been surprising had we (let's be real, *I*!) caved, but I am so glad we didn't! But it was kinda crazy to know we could have known and to not find out!
@PinkElephant: welcome to you and your girl #2 and your first girl!
We made it to Nova Scotia! We are super lucky our flight got out, most of our city at home was without power, we got to the airport around 6am yesterday (hour away), flight was hour and half delayed, but we got off the ground! Stranded at/with BIL/SIL, but will make the 2hr drive today to FIL/MIL, highway to them was closed yesterday, hopefully fine today. Merry Christmas everyone, think of how awesome it'll be to have our May babes next Christmas!!

@tarabonno: good luck at your appointment!
@PinkElephant: Welcome and congrats on a second little girl!
@Beebug: Woohoo for 20 weeks! I'm glad your flight went well and safe travels today!

@PinkElephant: welcome!!!
@Beebug: glad you made it safe and sound. The weather has been terrible around here lately!!! I'm already sick of snow and it's only December!
So I'm finally feeling some pretty consistent movement, and DH felt his first kick last night!!!!

Had a great appointment this morning! We didn't crack, but I totally would have if DH hadn't kept me strong!
I'm sure she says this to everyone, but the ultrasound tech said, "Oh, this is a really cute baby!"
Best of all, everything looks great and healthy. Baby is measuring at 12 oz but is right on target length wise for my due date and she didn't think that seemed big.
