@mrsog: US are dominating right now!! I am watching online!
Poor Fin, most people don't want their dogs paws on counter tops, here I am telling him "paws up" and asked for the "stay", he was so confused!

@Beebug: I think CBC stands for "complete blood count" where they check the contents of your blood… I know its standard but I can't recall what specifically they check. Also omg dogggggg so cute! And I definitely have times where I feel thirstier than usual. Not quite to the extent you describe, but I feel like my body can't figure out what to do with water sometimes. Like sometimes I'm sooooooo thirsty. And sometimes not. And sometimes I drink a lot and I hardly pee at all. And then sometimes I have a glass of water and pee like 5 times. No predictability. So glad I work I home where I have unlimited access to water and toilet with no one watching haha.

@Mae: Cool on cbc, makes sense I guess!
There is a bathroom close to my office (like 30ft, lol) but where our offices are now it is open to anyone on campus, staff, students, etc, so it just gets so gross sometimes, not fun being in and out so much! We just had one of those in wall water things installed in our hall too, so water is a lot more accessible, now I just need to drink more!
DD is having a beach party at daycare today as part of their Valentine's party. I made pink rice krispie squares cut into hearts with each of the kids Valentine's. I was all paranoid about doing food as I have the youngest kid there and wanted to keep it "safe". Another kid was being dropped as I got there and he brought Cheesies and Valentine's Smarties........safe to say my kid is going to WIRED when she gets home today, lol. Oye.

@Mae: the worst is when I go to the bathroom and as soon as I walk out I have to go again. I am one of 3 pregnant women on my floor and I'm pretty sure one of us is in there at all times of the day
papaya / 10343 posts
@mrsog: That happens to me too. Although I think its sort of related to how the baby is sitting? Because a lot of times I walk out and like 2 min later I have to pee again. But then if I wait 5 minutes it goes away. so I think she just steps on my bladder sometimes haha.
apricot / 388 posts
@Beebug: aww beach party sounds like fun. She should have a good sugar rush today. Maybe she will get it out of her system while at daycare and crash when she gets home. I'm dreaming of the beach. Last year in Feb we went to Hawaii to visit a friend who lives there and that was so awesome. This has been a cold snowy winter in NYC. I'm still not rushing to get to spring tho- I have so much to so before May!

@junebugmama: Glad to see you're back on the thread! You look great and Jace is such a cute name!
@skipra: Otis is so cute - love it!
@Beebug: Adorable pic and I love your little sidekick in the picture too. We are teaching our dog what "babies' room" means so this morning I told him to go to the babies' room and he sat in there while I took my pic. He looks a little unimpressed with my 27 week bump though.

@twodoghouse: aw, yay twin bump (I striped shirts, they make me feel much more pregnant lol) and also pup!

The bump pics are so cute!
So has anyone else hungry ALL THE TIME? The past few days my appetite is huge!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Mamasig: I can never decide if I'm hungry. I think I'm hungry but then I go to make food and suddenly I don't feel hungry anymore. I've never gotten to the "eats like a truck driver" stage of pregnancy. Although I have been waking up at like 4am hungry.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@Mae: I have a bunch of striped shirts and I love that they make me look super pregnant, haha.
@Mamasig: I went through a hungry all the time phase a couple weeks ago. Now there's just not as much room for food, so eating makes me feel sick. I hope the bigger I get the more space I'll have, so I can eat happily again some day in the next 11 weeks!

@Beebug: awww beach party! sounds fun! Our daycare is doing valentine's day today and tomorrow (DD doesn't go on Thursdays since my mom looks after her, so she's doing valentines day activities two days in a row so DD doesn't miss out!) I totally didn't even think of bringing any kind of valentines for the other kids...hopefully they didn't expect me to!
@mrsog: that sounds like me at night! I use the washroom, lie back in bed, and by the time i get back to bed (which is less than 3 feet from the bathroom) I have to pee again! There are a few pregnant people at work so we are in and out of the bathroom a lot, but one of them is newly pregnant and she's in the bathroom puking all day I don't miss those days! She definitely wasn't able to hide her pregnancy for long since she is so sick.
@twodoghouse: Love the bump! And the pup!
@Mamasig: hungry all. the. time. I can't stop eating.
So I kind of feel like my bump actually shrunk today. I"m wondering if it's in my head, or if the little dude changed positions or something. I don't feel as massively huge as I have in the past few weeks!
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@twodoghouse: @cookie_dough: @Mae: Glad my hunger is normal! I don't remember being like this last time. But if I eat too much then I feel sick. I have to find the happy medium!
Oh, and my bump sometimes feels smaller when I first wake up, but that changes by mid day.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@cookie_dough: I really didn't want to send anything if that counts for anything? lol. But she texted us a list of all the daycare kids names so I figured I was then obligated, and since there are only 8, 3 are hers, and DD in included in that, not a huge deal, and DH goes nuts over rice krispies, haha so win win for everyone I guess!
Today I am ready to have my mat leave start March 10th. Holy moly so frustrating.
re: hunger. I have days where I feel I have eaten so much and constantly that I am like.....ok...stop... and I then feel guilty because I feel like I don't remember the last time I've felt hungry because of how much I had been eating, and then there's other times where I feel like I eat that same too much but still have the hungry feeling! Oh these growing babies keep us on our toes, lol. I wonder what I will weigh next week at my appt. I am borderline weighing more than DH!!
kiwi / 619 posts
@Beebug: I'm catching up to DH too! He's been on a running kick lately and has lost a bunch of weight...so the gap is totally narrowing. I actually have to steal clothes from him now (tshirts, pyjama bottoms) because all my pyjamas have gotten too tight. I'm about to steal a coat from him too because I can't really breathe when I zip mine up anymore!
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@cookie_dough: @Beebug: luckily, DH is on the bigger side so I will never catch up to him - LOL. I do steal t shirts to sleep in. I can't stand having anything to constricting on.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
I will get to a point where I will start stealing sweatshirts from DH! Not there quite yet, I have a lot of sweats....that are big, haha!
DH and I aren't too far apart, shoe size pretty much same, sometimes half size different, he is inch/inch and a half taller (I'm 5'9'', he's barely 5'11'') and when we're both in shape we're both pretty small!
Does anyone have a king size bed? We always get into this with friends who have them, I feel like I would never see/touch DH in there! We are Queen bed people, lol.
papaya / 10343 posts
@Beebug: Nope we have queen size! I feel the same way as you mostly. My parents and my bff both say they don't know how we can stand it because they always run into each other when they stay in our guest room (with a queen bed). But I feel like I like the queen bed because we usually sleep with some part of us touching. When we stay in hotels that have king sized beds they feel sort of luxurious for a moment but then I always wake up in the middle of the night reaching for DH and can't find him haha.
I will say though, for pregnancy I sort of wish we had a king. I take up more space sleeping sideways than I do on my stomach, and then add in a body pillow, and the fact that my husband always takes up more than his half (which was never an issue bc I took up less than my half pre-pregnancy)…. its a little tight in there honestly.
kiwi / 619 posts
@Beebug: Queen bed here too. Our room definitely isn't big enough for a king. I don't really feel cramped in it, although I feel bad for DH because I know I move around a lot during pregnancy...and I also snore during pregnancy hahaha (I don't otherwise!) We just bought a new bedframe at ikea this weekend with storage drawers underneath. We are SUPER lacking in drawer space, since I had a ton of clothes in our guest bedroom dresser and closet, but had to move them all out since it's going to be DD's room now. DH and I literally have clothes all over the floor since we don't have enough drawers. So hopefully the under-bed storage drawers and the skinny dresser we bought will help us have a normal bedroom again.

@cookie_dough: @Mae: @Beebug: We used to be queen bed people and then I got pregnant and had a kid! With my belly and body pillow we barely fit in the queen. Then DS came along and decided he liked sleeping with us so we bought a king. I love it! When it's just DH and I we gravitate towards the center. But when DS is in there too, we at least have room. It does take up more space in the room, but at least I'm comfy while I sleep.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
Our bedroom is wide, and narrow! I am eyeing a super comfy chaise I'd like to put on my side of the room. We basically have at least a Queen bed width on either sides of the bed, and I would love to have a comfy chaise, lamp + table someday.....currently dog bed that he doesn't even use takes a chunk of space....soon to be baby space!!

Thanks everyone for the love of Otis!
@Mamasig: I also have some days where I'm starving all day and other days where I just don't have much appetite. I gained a ton of weight between Christmas and a couple weeks ago and I think it is kind of slowing down now.
@Beebug: Ok you will think we're crazy but we still have a full size bed! We both had one when we moved in together and just never upgraded. It's on our to buy list but pretty far down the bottom. It is getting tight with my big belly, DH, and DS all in bed for half the night. Oh and CBC is to test iron levels I think. And omg your dog is the cutest. I'm so jealous. Can't wait until we can get a dog again!
@cookie_dough: I felt like my bump was smaller yesterday too and I wasn't feeling him as strongly so I think he was just in a weird position because everything is back to normal today.
@twodoghouse: Wow you look great! I think my single bump is as big as your twin bump! How are you feeling? My friend with twins said that she just got so huge she couldn't even move by the third trimester. Doesn't look like you have the same problem.
pomegranate / 3917 posts
@skipra: DH and I slept in a full when I moved into his apartment with him! Actually it was a 3/4 which I think is smaller than a full?
We sleep in a single together at the cottage, sometimes we push them together ("our" room at my fam's cottage is a room with three singles!) One gets stood up so DD's PnP can go there, and then we have two singles left, lol.
We used money from wedding gifts to buy a bedroom set and new bed........what an amazing gift! That would be SO tight with preggo you, DH, DS, good for you guys though -make it work, right?
pomegranate / 3350 posts
@Beebug: My friend had a 3/4 growing up. I've never heard of anyone else having one. I thought it was a fake size! It is smaller than a full - I guess halfway between full and twin?
We're not as cramped as people seem to think we should be. DS is still tiny and DH is so skinny - like 6' and 150lbs that we seem to have room. We do call it the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory bed though
honeydew / 7230 posts
@skipra: Thanks! I feel huge, but I can still get around and mostly fit into my clothes, so I think that's a win. I've still got a lot of growing to do, though!
@Beebug: We have a Queen too. When we sleep in a King at my in-laws farmhouse it's so big that we can't even reach each other. Our dog likes sleeping on the big bed with us there, though. At home he will get on the bed to cuddle with us for a while before we fall asleep, then he gets on his couch for actual sleeping.

omg you guys I am ridiculous. So I have this love for sitcoms of the 90s. And I DVR roseanne to watch while I eat lunch every day (work from home). Well the episode where Darlene has a premature baby at 28 weeks (my exact week!) was just on and I was seriously sitting here sobbing. At roseanne. Not even sitcoms are safe from the hormones.

@Mae: Aw! I feel like I keep seeing stories of premature babies/babies getting cancer and it is soooo sad. I feel you.
@twodoghouse: you look fabulous!
@Beebug: we have a queen but would love a king! Maybe one day
@Mamasig: oh man on the hunger front. I eat All The Time. The obnoxious thing is that I want junk! Chocolate, cookies, cake, chips, peanut butter etc all sound delicious.

We've had 2 new gender announcements and so much name talk I decided to update our calendar! I added name options and front runners, even for those of us who aren't sure. It's not official so I figured we can always change it if anyone changes their mind! Anyone else have name options they'd like me to add? @Glitter: ? I felt like you had a name but I can't remember it and I think it was a long long time ago you mentioned it.

@Mae: we have a name too William! Thanks for updating the chart, it looks awesome!

@cookie_dough: added! I'm getting so excited at all these names. It's like they're really going to be here soon! (And they sorta are!)

@twodoghouse: when you said 11 weeks my heart jumped! And it could be even sooner. Oh my goodness. All we have so far are hand-made crochet booties from our neighbour! lol!
I think I have symphysis pubic dysfunction guys... the pain is real. I was barely able to get out of bed this morning and I'm unable to roll over when in bed. Just too much pain. Pain to get dressed, pain to get into the car, ughhh. Going to the bathroom has been a real struggle today and i'm at work, walking like I'm way past my due date. Every time I sit, stand, turn, my pelvis feels like it will BREAK! It hurts and is so so sore. Guess that means no V-day action tmrw Sorry if TMI. We're going to the doc on saturday morning so hopefully I figure out what's really wrong. I hope I'm not misaligned or anything, because it surely feels so!
persimmon / 1281 posts
@Mae: oh don't worry I would have probably cried too. I cried the other day for "Minute to Win It".. this intense game show. Don't ask. You're excused.
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@Glitter: so sorry! I know how much it hurts. My doc had suggested a band to help support my tummy. But that didn't really help because I found it uncomfortable. I never did anything else about it. I found mine was worse at night. I often cried trying to get out of bed and to the bathroom. I hope the doctor can suggest something for you! Oh, and DH was not allowed near me from about 20 weeks on. He joked he got tired of hearing "ow that hurts."
pomegranate / 3565 posts
@Mae: I think the crying gets worse after you have kids. It's hard to watch any movie or tv show about a sick or endangered child. And now I cry at anything sentimental!
papaya / 10343 posts
@Glitter: aw, sorry to hear you feel so bad. That sounds horrible. Also I agree that due dates are coming up quick! Less than 12 weeks until mine, although we've had a little chat and I let her know any time after 10 weeks I'd be a-ok with
She just needs to be fully cooked, we don't need to cohabitate longer than necessary haha.
persimmon / 1281 posts
@Mae: hehe my sentiments exactly.
I feel like yehhh I've been feeling the kicks and rocking the bump - the awesome parts of pregnancy have been experienced and enjoyed. I'm looking forward to meeting my baby (but not too soon)!
