    @Mae: 4lbs!! Really! That is so crazy/cool!!

My SIL had my nephew about this time (1 day shy of 31w) and he was 4lbs 11oz, so I guess it makes sense, so crazy........I can't even really think about it too hard it's so crazy!!

@junebugmama: HA! That really made me LOL. Poor guy. He's getting to see the weird parts of pregnancy up close and personal.

@Mae: A friend of a friend gave birth at 32 weeks, two days ago. Her baby was 3 lbs and he looked so big and ready with loads of hair! It's still difficult to imagine real, formed humans are inside of us just chilling, waiting to be let out.

@Beebug: wow that's big! I guess at this point the kids are probably all probably +/- quite a bit of weight The smallest newborn I've ever photographed was 5lb 8oz and its so crazy to me to think she's like, rapidly approaching that size.

  4. junebugmama

    nectarine / 2019 posts

@Mae: I also got a message that the baby could be up to 4lbs and he's "measuring big" so I just wonder how big he really is in there!

I'm 30 weeks today and I am freaked out by it for some reason. Since we still need to find a place and move, my stress level is through the roof. I think my nesting phase is in full force, and this whole thing, certainly isn't helping.

@junebugmama: Any leads on the house hunt?

  6. junebugmama

    nectarine / 2019 posts

@Beebug: Well we actually got word that we might be able to purchase. So now we are trying to see if we can find something that might have a quick close in our area. That would be ideal, but might mean still having to move our things to a storage facility and living with MIL for a bit. That seems like so much transition right now, that I'm not sure how to deal with it. Plus we can't really agree on where to buy, which is a whole other issue. So we are still looking for a rental at the same time. We found a place we really liked last night, but there's a ton of interest, so we aren't really sure where we stand. He's making a decision tomorrow though.

@junebugmama- so much stress! I really hope you did the right place, rental or for sale. You should totally play your preggo card with the new landlord for a quick decision. I think you are allowed to

Thank you ladies for all the sweet compliments.

Btw- how exactly do hiccups feel? I get the alien like movement too, and I get the foot on rib, and Foot on bladder often. The alien one does not get old for me. Lol!

  10. whodat

    apricot / 365 posts

@Coopersmama: My LO had the hiccups early this morning when I was still in bed. It feels like a tiny jump every few seconds. Sometimes it only lasts for like 5 hiccups and sometimes it lasts much longer.

Has anyone been woken up by cramps in the middle of the night? I had been woken up by a crazy-intense BH contraction before, and told my OB about it, but last night I was woken up by awful cramping mostly on the sides of my belly. I googled it and apparently it is common in the first tri when your uterus is shifting a lot, but as for the third tri they just say to watch out for labor. I know it wasn't labor but it was super intense! Not cool at all.

  11. sungirl

    apricot / 309 posts

@Glitter: I found the hiccups annoying too. My DS got them several times a day in and out and still gets them pretty often at 1 8 months. I haven't felt them yet this time.
@junebugmama: so sorry you are having to deal with this now. Hopefully you can get something figured out soon as I'm sure the unknown adds to the stress.

I've gotten so big. I'm getting the looks when I say how long I have left. I took weekly pictures last time and I look like I did at 34 weeks last time and I'm only 29 weeks! The dr isn't worried but my DH innocently asked if I'm going to have to buy new clothes!

  12. Coopersmama

    cherry / 129 posts

@sungirl- I have also gotten super big. Last time I was at the doc, they told me I had out on 5 pounds in two weeks! I had been putting on 0.5 to 1 pound each month. I do feel a little more wobbly and a little nerved when people so how far along. One woman did ask me if it was one baby or two!

@whodat- oh, I am soooo hoping I skip the BRaxton hicks. I think I mayhave felt the hiccups. Just did not know they were hiccups. I hope you feel more comfy.

@Mae: @Beebug: @junebugmama: We had a sono for growth on Monday since I'm still measuring weeks ahead - and baby was estimated at almost 4lbs, so what your reading is true! 3lb, 15oz at 30wks+1day. I was also kind of amazed because 4lbs sounds really substantial to me. Within the normal range, though, they said!

I also had some excess amniotic fluid, which can indicate issues (congenital anomalies are the big one) so they're gonna follow us a little closer. Another sono in 3wks. DH & I have been trying to discuss how we'll cope with the possible outcomes without getting ourselves too worried. Please cross your fingers for us that the LO is doing okay in there!

  14. Beebug

    pomegranate / 3917 posts

@sungirl: I don't think I am bigger this time (maybe I am in denial!!) but I find nothing maternity clothes-wise fits like it did last time, my favourite jeans are my least fave, shirts all look awful. Just bleh! It's so weird!! I really need to get pics side by side of pregnancy 1 versus 2 and size!

@junebugmama: That is definitely a little crazy on the brain, I really hope you find something soon and all the luck comes your way with it being the perfect rental or purchase and you can be in pre-babes!!

@anandam: Interesting on the growth sono, so crazy they can tell all of that Hope the excess fluid isn't anything of concern, but know it will be hard not to worry!!

  15. Mae

@anandam: I'll keep my fingers crossed it is nothing to worry about!!

  16. Mamasig

    pomegranate / 3565 posts

@Beebug: @Mae: I have triplet nieces that were born at 32 weeks. Together, they all weighed around 8-9 pounds. The smallest was less than 2 lbs, then close to 3 lbs, and the biggest was around 3 1/2 lbs. All were healthy!

  17. Mamasig

    pomegranate / 3565 posts

@whodat: no cramping in the belly, but I did wake up from a charley horse the other morning. I forgot about those! Horrible! Maybe more fluids? Though close to bed time it would probably make me pee a lot!

  18. whodat

@Mamasig: I was always told it's a potassium thing. Bananas and coconut water!

  19. twodoghouse

    honeydew / 7230 posts

@anandam: I'll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts that the follow up shows nothing worrisome.

@Beebug: Do you think you're carrying differently since baby is a boy this time? Are people making guesses about boy vs. girl and are you just laughing at it all since you know it's a "he"?

@Mamasig: Ugh, the charlie horses are the worse. The other day I had one while I was in the bathroom and I had to have my husband come in and rub my calf before I could get up and pull up my pants. Ah, marriage, so romantic!

I just came back from another doctor's appointment. Babies looked good on the ultrasound. No growth scan this time, just checking their heartbeats. Alice is head down again - yay! Hoping she stays that way. My doctor delivered twins vaginally last night at 38 weeks. They are great sized and getting to room in with their mom. I hope we can have a similar experience!

My cervix is starting to shorten/efface, but my doctor isn't worried. She said it's normal at this point (30 weeks) with twins so I'm just supposed to continue taking it really easy. I do seem to have an ongoing issue with blood showing up in my urine which is sort of mysterious and I had a culture sent off to see if I have a yeast infection/BV because I've been having all sorts of lady bits issues. Hopefully something shows up on the culture so I can get on some medicine and get past it!

  20. cookie_dough

    kiwi / 619 posts

@anandam: Fingers crossed that the excess fluid is nothing to worry about.

@twodoghouse: glad you had a good scan! Hopefully you get your culture results soon!

No bad stomach cramps, but definitely getting bad cramps in my feet and occasionaly my legs. The leg ones usually go away when I point my feet upwards. For some reason I always get really bad foot cramps in the changeroom after prenatal aquafit...I have to sit down hold my foot and just wait till it goes away. I'm sure the other girls are wondering what the heck I'm doing!

  21. Mae

    papaya / 10343 posts

@twodoghouse: thats weird about your cultures! i hope they figure it out for you. If they can't figure out the lady bits issues-- and this may sound weird-- maybe try sleeping sans underwear? lol. I had lady bits issues last year that they couldn't figure out bc nothing was WRONG, but the doc finally decided i was just extra sensitive and i just needed to go commando as much as possible. It made all the difference in the world. No more issues!

@Coopersmama: Wow you look great and I love the nursery! Those colors are beautiful. We have a similar Ikea closet. I may have to steal your idea when we get sick of the white.

@junebugmama: Ugh I can imagine how stressed you must be with the housing situation. We sold our place at the first open house in October and were in a major rush to find something else when we didn't even know for sure where we wanted to live. We hit one obstacle after another and it was so stressful. I can't even imagine having to do it all over again so close to the baby's arrival. I am thinking of you and crossing my fingers you find something very soon!

@anandam: I hope the fluid issues are nothing serious. Thinking of you and the baby. We are also considered high risk and being followed closely by MFM because DS was born small even though this baby looks totally fine so far. They are just very cautious and most of the time the outcome is that everything is normal.

@twodoghouse: Yay for having a head down little girl! It must be getting really cramped in there by now so hopefully she will stay that way and you can avoid the scheduled c section. Weird about the urine. How long has that been going on? My nephew was just having some weird urine issue recently too and they think it's a virus because it's not an infection. I wonder if there is something going around?

@Beebug: I don't know where you get all that energy. Hope you get a break after Saturday. I just chased DS around the library this morning for an hour and am totally beat. I couldn't imagine running around for 13+ hours. And I feel the same way about the maternity clothes. My favorite jeans last time are the absolute worst this time around and I won't even attempt to wear them. The ones that I hated last time are my go to jeans now. I am probably bigger this pregnancy because DS was so small but I think most noticeable is that I'm carrying really low. I heard that was a big difference between first and second pregnancies.

  23. twodoghouse

    honeydew / 7230 posts

@Mae: Ahhh, I have a weird phobia of sleeping without underwear. I'm afraid bugs will crawl up into me! It's not like our bed is crawling with bugs or anything, but I've always been paranoid about that, haha. If worse comes to worst, though, I may have to give it a try.

@skipra: We looked back at my urine results from all of my appointments (with twins I have frequent appointments so there have been a lot!) and it seemed like since 13 weeks there has consistently been trace amounts of blood (and often white blood cells, too!). My dr actually thinks this may be a bladder issue completely unrelated to pregnancy. She said we'll do testing after I have the babies and am all healed up. If the blood is still present then she will probably refer me to a urologist. So strange. The yeast infection/BV thing is new though, so I hope I actually have one of those and it's not another mystery because everything is sort of itchy and swollen and I'd like that to stop please!

@twodoghouse: omg I actually LOL'd. It's never occurred to me to be concerned about that. haha. I thought my doc made a good point though. She said women used to sleep in nightgowns without underwear always and its only in the last few decades this whole underwear and shorts/pjs thing has come into fashion. (which come to think of it, my grandma did always tell me i should sleep without underwear to "air things out" and i thought she was a weirdo haha). She said such sensitive skin just isn't really meant to have fitted fabric on it ALL THE TIME. I switched to nightgowns (i'd feel weird in just a tshirt and no bottoms lol) like 1.5 years ago now maybe and i swear its made a huge difference.

  25. sungirl

@twodoghouse: I have that exact same fear and feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one!

  26. skipra

    pomegranate / 3350 posts

@Mae: My grandma used to wear nightgowns and no underwear to bed too. I don't know how people can sleep that way! I need to wear pants to bed. I even hate wearing shorts in the summer!

  27. Mae

    papaya / 10343 posts

@skipra: lol it took a little getting used to but I like it now! Honestly the hardest part was reminding my husband at first that no underwear didn't necessarily mean he was getting lucky

    Soooo this made me cry:

    http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/baby-beebug-arrived

I did this for #1! Awesome to read and refresh on that time! I was skimming through old threads trying to find old bump pics to have to compare!

@twodoghouse: People drove me nuts, colleagues, strangers about how DD was going to be a boy based on how I carried and the bump! Like....very verified gender in two u/s, and people still were like "might be a boy, I wouldn't get too hooked on having a girl". So this time I have that in my back pocket for those who are so sure based on bump shape, and it's been a pretty even split of those who say girl vs. boy based on how I am carrying/the bump, but it is funny to know boy and listen to people!!

@skipra: I think it's because I don't have a choice on the energy? haha. I am usually pretty high energy to begin with, but still.....after Saturday will be nice, I wasn't going to take time off next week, but I think it would be dumb not to. I don't need all the time banked, so I might as well use it when it could benefit me!

lol on underwear/bed comment!! I wear boy shorts or spandex shorts to bed if I don't feel like being nekkid, I'm such a weirdo sometimes and like have to be layered up going to bed or can't settle, other times the thought of clothes? Bleh!!!

  29. twodoghouse

    honeydew / 7230 posts

@sungirl: I'm glad I'm not the only one with this fear!

@Beebug: Aw, I loved reading your DD's birth story. Is it so weird to think you'll be doing it all over again in a couple months?

  30. Beebug

    pomegranate / 3917 posts

Here is 30w with DD (gosh knows it's likely a couple days late!) Speaking of spandex shorts, I live in them!

and on the right 2 seconds ago 30+4 with DS, eeeep!! I haven't typed DS once!

  31. Beebug

    pomegranate / 3917 posts

@twodoghouse: SO weird. I am really interested to see how it all happens again. Reading all of that I was like "oh yah" for probably too much. Some of it was really awful, but it's funny now how excited I feel to do it again and the positives you take away and everything else is just sort of forgotten!!

@Beebug: Aww sweet birth story and what a cutie!!! Funny about the hair thing. When the midwife could see DS's head she pronounced we were having a baldy. Nope...fully head of hair but so blonde that you could barely see it!
I can see the difference in your earlier photos but the more recent ones are hard to tell. I thought I was carrying lower but I was curious too and looked at some bump photos with DS and was pretty low with him too. Or maybe my boobs were just that much perkier!

  38. sungirl

@Beebug: sweet birth story! I started to joy stuff down last time but never finished. Wish I would have! And your later comparison pictures look so similar. I've never uploaded pictures but I should so you all can see the difference.

We have some friends in town with their 1 month old that we are going to visit this afternoon. Can't wait to meet her and see what DS thinks of the baby!

Counting down the hours! Event freedom is near!! I received recognition in front of the entire audience (few thousand or so!) for my work on the event. Too many were all like "can you be on the floor for closing ceremonies" so I knew something was up, I got some really pretty roses, too!

I just want to make it home to see DD before bed, my alarm is already set for 4:10am tomorrow am (that's like 3:10 with the time change....!!) to take DH and DD to airport.

Baby on the inside has been moving so much today, my back is just shot, horizontal time will be heavenly tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having one, an actual weekend and not working like me, and two, a great weekend!!
