@tinyperson: thanks mama. Looking forward to next Christmas with babe in arms.

@littlecasita1122: pelvic rest only at this point, which basically just means no sex

I think I finally felt baby move yesterday! I thought I would feel it earlier with this pregnancy, but I'm 19 weeks tomorrow (which is about the same time I felt her move with #1). Anatomy scan on Thursday...

Just for s*** and giggles: who has used pull and pray method and been successful? Just curious!

I can't remember - any other second (or more!) time mamas who had a c-section the first time around? My doctor talked to me about VBACs and repeat c-sections and my options at my last visit, and I keep going back and forth.

I don't have to really decide until the last minute. I have the option to just see how things are progressing up until 41 weeks if I want. They would want me to schedule a c-section at 41 weeks no matter what because they won't induce a VBAC and they don't want me going past 41 weeks. But I could also schedule a c-section for any time starting at 39 weeks.

I am so on the fence! My first c-section was scheduled because baby was breech and not budging. It was really as great an experience as it could have been. I got to hold her and nurse her right away, and recovery wasn't that bad. But it's major surgery so I definitely had pain and limitations.

@My Only Sunshine: I had a c-section first time around after dilating to 10 cm. At that point she determined my pelvis was too small and I would need a c-section and would always need c-sections, so I already have mine scheduled. My grandmother, mother and sister all have had c-sections for the same reason so I wasn't surprised.

If it was for basically any other reason, I would go back and forth about VBAC too! It's a tough decision for sure.

@fitfigure87: DH and I used pull and pray for 2 years before TTC. It always worked!

@My Only Sunshine: I too, had a c-section the first time and will be trying for a vbac this time. Dr says I'm a good candidate and I've been doing a bit of reading to educate myself. I've also hired a doula to provide additional support and guidance when the time finally comes! To be honest though, there are definitely aspects of having a repeat C that are desirable (planning purposes, knowing what to expect, no tearing of the lady parts, etc...) That said, I'm going to give a vbac a try.

@sharpie: So crazy that you made it all the way to 10cm! Thats awesome in and of itself. I only made it to 4cm...

@My Only Sunshine: I'm likely having a c section again, but haven't had a long conversation about it with my OB.

Had my anatomy scan today and everything looked fine - and it's a GIRL!

DH said he wanted another girl and I'm happy with another girl too

Hey mamas...it breaks my heart to share this but I had a regular check-up yesterday afternoon. They unfortunately could not find a heartbeat. I'm just over 23 weeks so I'll be heading to the hospital tomorrow morning to be induced. I'm hoping to find some closure and answers tomorrow. I wish you all the best and hope you all continue to have healthy pregnancies.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. I delivered her late last night and we got to spend some time with her. They found the cord wrapped around her neck twice. Trying to hang in there and be strong for my son. We have lots of family and friends supporting us.

    How are you feeling mamas?

Most days I feel pretty good but am starting to feel the effects of lack of sleep. My body hurts and my head feels heavy today. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to continue working full-time at this rate...

I feel like we have a bazillion things to do around the house to organize and prepare for baby. We need to make better use of the storage we have and do a fair bit of purging (mostly DH's stuff). Many nights I'm up thinking about this and DH is less than enthused about helping me with these tasks. I'm wondering if I should just call in my mum to come help lol. But really she's a master organizer and could be a big help. I feel pressure to get these things done before I'm huge and immobile.

On a positive note, I've been enjoying lots of movement and kicks from baby which makes me smile

@Autumnmama79: totally understand the tiredness! I just got prescribed some sleep/anxiety meds to get through sleepless nights. Literally was only getting one to three hours the past week and a half. I thought I was going crazy I just quit my full time job as I'm starting school in a week! I love feeling baby move too...he gets the hiccups a lot!

    Hope everyone is doing well!

@Autumnmama79: The tiredness is getting to me too! I wake up multiple times a night and just toss and turn and can't fall back asleep.... it's definitely taking a toll on me and I feel bad because I know I'm taking it out on DH. It's almost worse than the mood swings during the first tri!

I'm really starting to stress about organizing the nursery. We painted and have the crib and dresser/changing table set up, but everything else we've bought so far is sitting in a pile in the middle of the floor... I still have a lot of diy decorating projects to tackle too and it's just starting to feel overwhelming.

Feeling the baby move is definitely the upside to all of this! She's really active all day which is so much fun, though some of her little kicks can be pretty uncomfortable when she's aiming for my bladder....

The insomnia is getting me too, and my quality of work is starting to really go downhill. Which sucks bc I have to work until I go into labor. Other than that and my INSANE weight gain everything is good. Last night I slept for about 6 hours so I feel refreshed today...just scared for my weight lecture at my appointment today.

@fitfigure87: So exciting to be starting school! What will you be studying?

@csross217: Let's commiserate about the sleeplessness - its really hard! DH is also my target for moodiness, poor guy It sounds like you actually have a lot done for the nursery though! What DIY projects will you do?

@TrailRunner: Good luck with your appt today and I hope the dr isn't too hard on you about the weight. I'm right there with you and I estimate that I've gained 50 pounds since becoming pg

Tired here too! I also feel like pregnancy just affects my brain so oddly. My dreams are super vivid but also really boring (like a LONG dream about grocery shopping with my mom), and my emotions are all over the place, and I cannot concentrate on anything at work.

@Autumnmama79: @csross217: I hear you on wanting everything to be done sooner rather than later. We have the big pieces of furniture in the nursery but nothing else done and I'm itching to just finish it now even though I know we have 4 months to go.

Just yesterday I started crocheting a baby blanket. Hoping it'll be done before he gets here!

@Autumnmama79: Another tired mama here...My 3yo gets up 5:30-5:45 pretty much every morning, and doesn't nap anymore And she's had a cough all night that doesn't wake her up, but it wakes me up and then I realize I have to pee and can't get back to sleep.

Emotions are pretty wonky - Note to self: do not watch the last few episodes of the last season of Gilmore Girls on the subway on the way to work! Good thing I had Kleenex.

We don't have much done in the way of prep - we're in a 2bdrm and our city is so expensive that we'd have to move way out to get something decent and bigger in our budget. So baby will be in our room for a long time. We need to buy a twin bed for the 3yo (she's still in her crib), a new glider (I hate the one we have), and a few odds and ends (including better toy storage for the living room). Other than that, we can reuse a lot of stuff.

@Autumnmama79: I'm planning to make a mobile, crib skirt, shelving, bookends, fabric moby type wrap, and a few other little things. I have most of the materials already, it's just actually sitting down to do it! I'm definitely not a diy-er so this is new territory for me. I did finish knitting a baby hat last week and want to make a few more, so we'll see.

I think I *might* have felt baby hiccups for the first time this morning! It was like rhythmic little nudges right in the same spot for a few minutes. Such a cool feeling!
