Wooop woop! DH totally cried, it was the sweetest. I'm so beyond thrilled. I secretly preferred a boy, and here we are! eeeeeek!

@MrsTiz: Congrats!! Great results to ease your mind. Let the planning begin

I'm almost wishing I did the MaterniT21 now! Haha I would love to know what we are having already! I have it set in my mind that this baby is a girl...so does everyone else around me...it would be nice to just know

@Mrs. J: yay for team green!!! : D My bil/sil are pregnant with baby #2 and are doing team green again. I think it will totally be worth the wait. (Oh, and thanks!!)

@MrsDragon: hope you can ease off the meds! I'm still gagging and dry heaving throughout the day so I'm thinking to keep my meds up for a few more weeks to be safe.

@MrsTiz: OH.EM.GEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A BOOOOOOOOOOOOOY!! Congrats mama! So exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Ash: Yesterday went okay -- I felt a bit queasy by the end of it and gagged more than usual but still not as overwhelmingly nauseous. I didn't take my evening dose yesterday but I'm thinking about still taking an afternoon pill today.

So happy for the boy mommas! I'm wishing I would have asked about the test, I'm dyyyyying to know! I'm thinking (and, ok, ok, kind of secretly hoping I think...) that we're having a girl, but I have noooo idea!!! I seriously cannot WAIT to find out!!! One of you should start a list of who is having what!

@MrsTiz: aww yay!!! So excited for y'all! So since I did mine Tuesday, I'm hoping to get my results by the middle of next week!! Do you have any boy names picked out yet?

  10. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@lilteacherbee: Nope, had a very short list of girl names with ZERO boy options. Boy names are hard!

@MrsTiz: Yay, so exciting! I'm still kind of amazed that we're having a boy, lol. I really thought it was going to be a girl!

@anbanan15: OMG names are killing us. We had two girls names already picked, with both first and middle. Problem is DH HATES most boy names. Everything I suggest he vetoes. I had him looking at names last night and I think our top 2 are Declan Cole (nn Dex) and Grayson James (nn Gray).

Anyone else have any good boy name suggestions? I like things that sound modern without being super duper popular.

  13. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@MrsCB: no suggestions, but I love both of those! I don't like anything too funky or trendy. I'm trying* to avoid nicknames but it's almost impossible with boy names!

My favorite is Jack but DH doesn't care for it much

  14. lilteacherbee

    cantaloupe / 6791 posts

@MrsTiz: We have only found ONE boy name that we both like, so if we have a boy, his name will be Nathan! You're right, boy names are super hard!

  15. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@MrsCB: same problem! DH liked DS's name and the one he used for our male dog. That is it! I have been over 100s of boy names and he has a reason why they all do not work in his mind.

  16. ShootingStar

    coconut / 8472 posts

@anbanan15: Well, I kinda gave up. I told him he needs to do research and find names he likes and then I'll see if I like them. He came up with one (which he had previously vetoed!) - Grayson.

  17. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@MrsCB: That is great! At least he has suggestions! Grayson was one of my picks too :).

My husband will not suggest but also says no to everything. His only suggestion ever was besides using the dogs name is Bo. Our last name begins with Bo- so umm No! I'm pretty sure it was a joke though, but he is dead set on using the dogs name! And this is why I am praying for a girl

@anbanan15: Yeah, my husband insists he likes the name Colby Jack/Jackson. I keep telling him we're not naming our child after cheese, and I can't tell if he's kidding or not, lol.

  19. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@MrsCB: Oh my gosh! At first I was like Colby is cute and Jack is my dad's name until you said the cheese comment and then it totally clicked! That is hilarious! I would take it as a joke :). Sounds like yours husband and mine are similar when it comes to this for sure!

@MrsCB: @MrsTiz: woohoo! Congratulations! Two little boys already.

I totally agree that boy names are harder. We have a bunch of girl names on our list but only a few boys.

@MrsCB: @MrsTiz: OMG, I can't believe we're already finding out some of the genders- I forgot that was an option with the first tri screening. CONGRATS, mommas!

Has anyone else felt movement yet? I'm not SURE, but I'm almost positive I have. Just little twinges here and there down in the right area- and it's not gas, lol. At least, I don't think so. I was 12 weeks on Wednesday, so I don't think it's totally impossible. I can't remember when I first felt it with my first pregnancy (probably 20+ weeks), but I remember first feeling baby and knowing it was baby at 17 weeks with #2 and I had anterior placentas with both of those pregnancies, so I think it's a good possibility that I'm actually feeling baby now, at least, if I have a more normal posterior placenta this time. Or maybe I'm just completely off my rocker, lol.

    @MrsTiz: @MrsCB: Congrats!

@FarmWifeGina: I feel a bit crazy for thinking Ive felt movement already but I do think I can feel big movements like baby switching positions, not kicks or anything. This is my second so I donno but I've thought the same thing as you since around 12 or 13 weeks.

  25. mrsmacandcheese

I think I can feel my uterus now? But it's weird -- it feels like there's sort of a bulge-y spot on my left side below my belly button, over to my hip bone, but the right side feels completely normal. So either everything is on the left, I'm not actually feeling anything, or I'm insane.

To those of you with dopplers... Are you having trouble finding baby the further along you get? Last night we heard baby for a few seconds then zoom off he/she went and we couldn't find it again. I need reassrance!

  29. Maysprout

    grapefruit / 4800 posts

@Ash: I don't have a doppler but at my last appointment they couldn't find baby so brought in an ultrasound. Baby was sitting right there with a nice heartbeat, we thought maybe baby was super low or something but on the ultrasound baby was right where you'd expect.

  30. lilteacherbee

    cantaloupe / 6791 posts

@Ash: Yep. It seems baby moves a lot more now so it's harder to catch. Also, a few weeks ago, I needed a full bladder to find it. Now, it's actually easier without a full bladder!

  31. MrsTiz

Has anyone given any thought to nurseries or names?

  32. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@lilteacherbee: good to know! I've been sticking with a full bladder so I'll have to try it without next time. We only listen once a week. When we listened Saturday it took us forever to find baby and then we heard it and then it was gone. No participation on baby's part at all. Haha! I go for my yearly pelvic exam this week so I'm going to ask the midwife to try and find him/her. :))

@Maysprout: I usually go to the same spot and find the heartbeat with ease but this wasn't the case on Saturday. Boooooooo!

@MrsTiz: We have our girl name picked but our boy name is still up in the air. As for nurseries, I have NO IDEA. I look but nothing catches my eye. You??

  33. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@Ash: I think we're going to do a woodland-y nursery, with birch trees and foxes and birds and whatnot. I don't like overly-themed rooms so we'll see how it turns out!

Names we're thinking either Jackson or Oliver, but i'm sure that will change 900 times between now and birth!

  34. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: The main reason I"m sad we're team green is because of the nursery... I just can't find a gender neutral nursery that I like. Wah! But the woodland theme sounds adorable!!!

  35. Maysprout

    grapefruit / 4800 posts

@MrsTiz: I'm so indecisive and names are hard so we're waiting a month till we find out if we're having a boy or girl. My only thought on the nursery so far is what to do with all the furniture/books that are currently in the room. Most of the furniture is not anything special so we'll just donate it but I'm not sure what to do about the books. But I don't plan to start cleaning out the room for another month when my mom has time to come up and watch LO for the day.

  36. lilteacherbee

@MrsTiz: we're doing an alphabet themed nursery. I found this while on Pinterest and fell in love!

    http://www.skiphop.com/product/completesheet_alphabetzoo.html

I figure it's neutral enough to be either boy/girl. We can add more blue if its a boy and more pink if its a girl...we should find out by the end of the week!!!

Because we TTC for over a year, we've been thinking about names for awhile, so we've got them pretty much set. Hadley Paige for a girl and Nathan Dean for a boy

@MrsTiz: Here's my pinterest board for our boy nursery - http://pinterest.com/cab0320/elephant-boy/

I think we're leaning towards deciding on Declan Cole (nn Dex) as the name. But since we have so much time and we want to be sure, we're just kind of sitting with it for a while before we decide. DH has this personality quirk where if you try to revisit something that's already decided, he gets very upset. So neither of want it to be final for a while.
