I just signed up for a prenatal yoga class. I'm looking forward to it! Is anyone else doing prenatal yoga? Or any sort of exercise routine?

@sweetooth: Yes, I am! I'm a yoga novice and I'm not sure ill continue after the pregnancy, but I have DVD that I've been pretty faithful with. There are a couple poses I don't really like because they're hard-ish, lol, but it's good for me and I always feel so nice and stretched out when I'm finished. Plus, if it helps get me in better shape for birth, well, it can't hurt!

@FarmWifeGina: What DVD are you doing? I have considered doing yoga, but since I have not done it since a college (8 years ago?), I don't feel comfortable going to a class....

I've only ever done one yoga class in my life and it wasn't prenatal and it was haaaaaard. Lol. Actually, it wasn't *that* bad, but I was in the middle of detoxing and losing a ton of weight and I didn't realize that yoga can trigger more detoxing, so I went home and was so sick to my stomach I thought I was going to throw up. It took laying down and napping to actually recover from how nasty I felt, haha!

@FarmWifeGina: Thanks! I think I will try it out! I'm impressed that you were open to yoga after such a bad experience, ha!

@FarmWifeGina: I'm a novice too. I participated in a yoga for fertility class when we were having difficulty conceiving. I really liked the support that the class provided me, and the breathing techniques I learned. I was nervous about the class environment too, I'm much more of a DVD at home workout kind of gal But I look forward to trying another class, and hopefully meeting some new moms in my neighborhood

@sweetooth: I would definitely do a class too, but the closest yoga classes at all (and they're not even prenatal classes, but the instructor would help modify as needed) is in town, almost 20 miles away. And I can't really afford to burn all that fuel going back and forth to town just for an hour or so of yoga several times a week.

@FarmWifeGina: totally makes sense - I'd opt for a DVD in that case too.

@FarmWifeGina: Ohhh thanks for the yoga recommendation!! I've been looking for a DVD since it will soon be too hot for me to enjoy walking outside.

So I worked all day (and night) on my birthday today. But DH made it the best day he could by getting us take out from one of my fave restaurants and even getting me a cupcake with a candle. Best of all, he bought me the diaper bag I've been drooling over!! So excited!!

@Cara M. 17: Happy birthday! How great that you got your bag!

Okay, who else's boobs are OUT of control? I got fitted a couple of weeks ago and I had gone up from a 32B to a C cup, and now I am a 32DD! I don't even feel like a DD! Yikes.

  31. sweetooth

    nectarine / 2705 posts

@Mrs. J: I have definitely noticed major growth over the past week. Where did you go get fitted? I've been thinking I need to take the time to do that. I started at a 32B too, but there's no way these puppies are DDs yet! Did you already buy a C cup bra?

  32. FarmWifeGina

    pear / 1571 posts

@Mrs. J: @sweetooth: LUCKYYYYYY! I am filling my C cup just a little better than usual. But that is normal for me. Which sounds really vain, but it's totally a marker of the fact that I don't have enough mammary tissue and that gives me the sadz.

WHOOT! Found my cheap Beco and just made my first purchase for Cricket! Now, the question is, do I sell my BabyHawk, which I totally love, but the function is pretty close to that of the the Beco? Than I could put that money towards financing a kickass diaper bag that can hold cloth diapers and supplies for 3 kids... Hmmm. Anyways, so excited to get it- I might even try it out with my 2-year-old, teehee.
Now there's just the birth pool and the supplemental nursing system and a buttload of milk-making supplements to buy and the midwife's fee and any doctor bills that insurance doesn't cover and we're all set! Unless I decide we need a convertible crib and a new stroller yet... Lol.
Am I the only one who hasn't really bought anything for baby yet? I mean, obviously, this is my third kid, so I probably don't have to get too much, but I didn't really buy a whole lot until the end with my first pregnancy either.

@Mrs. J: my boobs were like that with DS! Just wait until after delivery and your milk comes in :). This time I don't feel they are as out of control yet, but I am thinking that is because my breast tissue was still changing over from nursing and hadn't reestablished to "normal" yet?! I also started out as a 32A/B!

@FarmWifeGina: I only purchased those 3 outfits and sweater because of the great deal. DH also got me a new diaper bag, but that's about it. I've been researching things I may want or need like a double stroller, but we will not purchase that until after baby is born, if at all.

@sweetooth: at Victoria's Secret. I went in thinking I needed the C because that's what they had me buy last time, and walked out with a dd. Luckily I had only bought one C bra or I would be upset with myself!

  36. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@FarmWifeGina: I've bought both of our car seats, our stroller, a swing, and a k'tan. all thanks to nbd!

@Mrs. J: I've gone from a b to a c cup and will probably be heading into something bigger very soon. I just bought mine at target even though I only buy vs bras bit I didn't wanna spend 50 bucks on a bra I'd grow out of. Hahah!

  37. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@Ash: haha I tried to find a convertible strapless bra at Target, but they didn't have one, so I had to go back to VS. I am doing 5 dance shows next weekend, and I have to use a bra with clear straps with my costume.

@FarmWifeGina: We haven't really bought much at all--I bought the crib bedding because it was on sale at PBK, which means they are discontinuing it. Our stroller and carseat are bought, but my Oma is giving them to us as a shower gift. I bought them during the Britax Free Ride event.

@Mrs. J: You call your grandma "Oma" too? Love it. I always have to explain who I'm referring to when I say Oma/Opa.

@Ash: I've been wearing Genie Bras (did I just admit that?). They aren't the most attractive thing, basically a super stretchy padded sports bra, but are inexpensive (QVC sells 3-6 packs for like $35). Anyway they have been great! I got them towards the end of BFing with DS and I wasn't sure where my breasts were going to end up. They have been great now with pregnancy as they stretch so I haven't had to buy new bras yet. I was like you and didn't want to spend a fourtune on bras I would quickly outgrow. BTW, the 2 times I have actually purchased a full priced VS bra in my life I have ended up with a BFP and boobs that no longer fit into the bra a month later! Depending on if we want more kids or not may influence my VS bra shopping in the future haha.
