@Ash: You are not the last to feel...I have one of the earliest due dates (Nov 2nd) and I have still felt NOTHING! I know she's in there and loves to move all around during ultrasounds, but I have yet to feel her.

I am happy for so many of you guys who have felt something. It is also helpful to hear your descriptions so I can be sure I know what it is when she finally does make her presence know!

Anatomy scan went well today. Everything looks great, no signs of birth defects and as far as the doctor is concerned we have one health baby! Baby measured 18w3d which is exactly GA! ~9 oz, thyroid looks great and the biggest issue moving forward is possible IUGR, but since my thyroid was regulated before pregnancy and is being monitored closely it's less of an issue! I have an anterior placenta again, which I thought, so still no movement, but baby was sure moving around in there! And baby is a....

GIRL!! We are SO excited! Going shopping this afternoon

ETA: A funny side note....my cousin was also at MFM getting her anatomy scan done today with the same appointment time! My aunt said she was also due 11/22, but she is actually due 11/20. Anyway we aren't that close, so it was funny to run into her there! She was at MFM due to AMA, but her baby also looks great and she is also having a girl! This is her first child and she never thought she would have any. She'll be 41.

@Ash: Will do! I know the one store we went to had a TON of the boy packs (which I think could go either...periwinkle-ish, light blue, and pale yellow), but they didn't have any of their product marked down yet.

    @ms.janedoe: Congrats on your daughter!
You guys are making me so excited for my scan NEXT WEEK!!!
Oh, and not to brag or to make you girls who haven't felt anything yet, but I felt Cricket moving from the outside this morning.
In honor of that milestone and because I'm not Gold, so I can't post on the regular bump thread, here's my first bump photo. I still think I just look fat, my stomach is usually sticking out as far as my boobs, but I can feel my uterus up past my belly button now, so I guess I can claim it as a baby bump, even if it is still my stomach that's all nice and round on top and not baby, lol. Please excuse the streaky mirror.

@Ash: You would like my t-shirt: it's from a local agronomy business and the front says, "No farms, no food" and the back says, "Farmers feed the world". Teehee. They were pretty much the hottest commodity in our town last summer- kids collected them like baseball cards, the more colors you had, the better, lol.

Just got back from our anatomy scan. Everything looks great! I was a little nervous going into it that something would be wrong. But everything looked good, and he's measuring just one day ahead.

How are the names decisions coming along everyone?

  28. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@anbanan15: We had decided on one girl name and one boy name all the way back at about 8 weeks. And then we found out the sex at 13 weeks (cooperative baby and really good ultrasound tech), so we have the known the name since then.

Has anyone else decided for sure? Or knew this early on?

Oh, and her name will be Reagan Rose.

@NeekieRose: That's awesome! We know for sure we picked names out almost 5 years ago. Used the boy for DS and were saving the girls.

We've decided on Declan Cole. Everyone is always surprised we decided this early. But it was such a hassle agreeing on a name, there's no way I want to revisit the decision!

  32. NeekieRose

    persimmon / 1386 posts

@anbanan15: That's awesome! We actually picked first names out about 5 years ago too (Ryan and Reagan). So when I got pregnant all we had to decide on were middle names, and that turned out to be pretty easy.

@ms.janedoe: Yay!!!! Congrats! Looks like the girls are catching up!!

@NeekieRose: Such a pretty name! Our little boy is Nathan Dean We TTC for over a year, so we had picked out one girl name and one boy name before we were pregnant.

Hey ladies! I've been out of town visiting family for a week so I haven't been too active, but just caught up on this thread...congrats to the newly identified Nov '13 girls!

As for names for us...Michael will be the middle name (it's a family name on both sides, plus we like the name of course). As for first names, we have a list going, and our favorite right now is Leo. We haven't talked about it much; I'm guessing we'll go into the hospital with a short list and see which name we think "fits" after he's born!

@anbanan15: Names are pretty much where they were the last time we talked about them, lol.

Oooh, I love the names y'all have so far. We had a few name ideas prior to finding out the sex, and now that we know it's a girl, we'll have to sit down and see where we're at! I think we'll end up having a few that we like, and then probably wait and see what baby girl looks like once she's here and pick from our top contenders.

A few of the girl names that we're looooving (or at least, were loving when we talked last) are: Gemma, Zoe, and Charlotte. I'm a little worried because I saw some report that said Princess Kate will "likely" be using Charlotte if their baby is a girl... Nooo! I'll have to dig out my list and see if I forgot any!

@ms.janedoe: Omg I LOVE Gemma!! DH nixed it because he said it was too similar to my name (Jen). I think it's such a pretty name!

I'm happy everything is going so well for everyone!

We have had our girl name picked out for awhile -- landed on it shortly after finding out we were having a baby. I'm kinda happy we're having a girl because if it was a boy, we'd be going in with a list, haha! We're not telling anyone her name until she arrives and it's so hard to keep it secret!
