@Ash: @ms.janedoe: haha I guess I should say I don't feel like I am waddling at all. I feel like I still have a normal stride, but for all I know I could be walking like an ogre. I'll have to ask DH. He doesn't hold back at a chance to make fun of me...
ETA: DH just had me model walking for him. He says I don't waddle and he doesn't ever remember me waddling with DS either.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: That's what made me think I'm not walking like I'm pregnant... DH is always sure to point out the funny/weird things I do!! LOL @ ogre!!
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@Ash: I like to think of that characteristic of theirs as true love. lol Not a day goes by that he isn't picking on me for something. Glad I'm not the only one with a DH like that!

I haven't noticed any waddling...I feel like I am still walking normal. For the most part I feel pretty great. I have had a little harder time falling asleep a few nights in the past couple weeks., but nothing too bad.
Sometimes as I'm falling asleep I think I feel a little bit of restless leg syndrome (which I've never had, so not sure if that is what it feels like??), but just for a second or so. I hope that doesn't become a thing!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: Well I definitely do the same to him... so it's only fair. Bahahaha!
@NeekieRose: I get really bad restless leg... I put a heating pad on my legs and that usually helps.

@ms.janedoe: I don't think I waddle yet but I do walk slower and when we're at the pool I'm so conscious of all the thigh rub going on.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@Maysprout: Ah, the thigh rub. Mine are just starting and I haaaaaaaaate it!! I'm starting to walk slower too! I used to be really quick but I'm finding that to not be the case anymore. Boohoo!
pear / 1571 posts
@Maysprout: @Ash: HA! And pregnancy is when I'm really glad that I've had thigh rub almost my entire life, lol. One less thing to worry about changing.

@anbanan15: How did your test go? Mine wasn't awful -- the drink was better than I was expecting, and they let me go home and wait out the hour. I felt pretty queasy after and ended up napping most of the afternoon... I've been lucky to not be very busy at work these last few weeks!
I just found out that our prenatal classes are scheduled for August 9 & 10 -- so soon!
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@MrsDragon: Not too bad! My drink was lemon-lime and a little more sugary than I remembered but I just downed it as quickly as possible I arrived at the lab just before 8 am and it turns out my midwife forgot to sign the bottom of the orders! Luckily they let me take the drink awhile and started the clock then called my OB/GYN's office as soon as they opened. The lab said there was a chance they may have to toss the blood if the ordered didn't get faxed in enough time, but they faxed a signed copy as soon as they got off the phone...phew! I had to stay there though. The lady actually said she would hunt me down if I tried to leave (said she did once and found the last at the local grocery store lol).
Sorry you felt a little sick after but glad you got to rest it off!

@FarmWifeGina: BAahahah, yes to the thigh rub...it's always been there so that's not a new one for me either!
@MrsDragon: @anbanan15: Glad the drinkin' went well!
@Ash: Hell yeah!!! So awesome!

Do your hips hurt ladies??? I feel if I sit for more than a half hour or so my hips hurt when I get up.
Currently traveling for work, I was suppose to go home today but needed to stay and work an extra day, I miss my DH and my fur babies. Thank heaven for FaceTime!!!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
Haha this thigh rub talk is cracking me up. I have it and pretty much always do, but DH assures me its because I have "muscular thighs" (I ran a lot pre-pregnancy). I definitely notice it a lot more these days though!
@MrsCastro: YES! Yesterday, I helped DH set up his classroom. I was up and down all day and walking around a lot. This morning, my hips hurt so bad!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@ms.janedoe: I even saw my belly move - baby was a monster yesterday!
@MrsCastro: My hips and the sides of my belly hurt when I sit but feel better when I stand up. YAY for getting to see DH soon!!!
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@MrsDragon: Did you get your lab results back yet? Nice low number again, so no 3 hour test for me! Yippy!! I feel a little nauseous this morning though. Hmmm...
coconut / 8472 posts
@Ash: Yay!!! My DH is too impatient to wait around feeling my belly :(. I think he puts too much pressure on it and it calms him down, lol.
@FarmWifeGina: @MrsTiz: @Cara M. 17: @ms.janedoe: @sweetooth: @Ash: Thanks guys!! I felt like I looked like a big hot mess, lol.
Anyone else loving dressing their bump? I always had issues with clothes because I'm an odd size - usually XL at most regular stores, but smallest size at plus stores. I always felt like nothing looked right on me because it's intended for size 2's. But OMG, it's so much easier being pregnant! Almost all the tops I try on look cute and I don't have the B belly I was dreading. I even wear mostly L now instead of XL. I can go in ON and grab stuff without even trying it on, and love the way it looks :).
blogger / clementine / 985 posts
@anbanan15: They told me everything would be in today except for my B12 test (I asked for it because I've been deficient in the past, and they had to ship it out to a different lab so I won't hear anything till my next appointment). I think they'll only call if there's a problem and I haven't heard anything yet!
@MrsCB: Haha, just today I was thinking about how much I hate getting dressed! My closet is a mess (moving) and I feel like stuff just doesn't fit me right, plus I'm bored with what I have but don't want to spend any more money.
pear / 1571 posts
@MrsCB: Yes, I have this problem too. Especially because I don't have the boobs that all clothes designers seem to think bigger girls should have. I love, love, love ON's stuff, especially their tank tops since they're nice and long and they show off my bump. I have a problem with most non-maternity shirts not being long enough, even without much of a bump yet.
cantaloupe / 6800 posts
@MrsCB: I am! I've always been self conscious and a bit overweight so now that i'm supposed to have a bump all of my clothes look so much better and I just feel so much more well-dressed, even if I've had the shirt for years. I'm also wearing fitted stuff for the first time in my life, I am a major anti-clingy shirt person but I'm loving them over my bump!

Is anyone noticing patterns in baby movement? LO seems to only be active when I first wake up in the morning and am laying in bed not wanting to get up yet, and ~8pm every night. I feel bad for my mom, she wants to feel him move SO BAD but he just hangs out while i'm at work!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@MrsTiz: Yep! He has a party between 1am-3am. I know this because I'm normally awake... Yay insomnia! I also feel him move in the mornings around 8-10ish. During the day, he's pretty chill.
coconut / 8472 posts
@MrsTiz: No patterns yet, I feel him on and off all the time. He's rolling around a bunch as I type, but some days I barely feel him during the day. He does seem to move a lot when I lay down.
apricot / 360 posts
@MrsTiz: I get a lot of kicks during the day when I'm at work. Pretty much whenever I snack at my desk I've noticed activity. I'm usually eating fruit & I think he likes the sugar

Our crib comes today...I am so excited! I wish baby room were cleared out already so I could set it up! I guess I should move my clothes...lol
Anyone know where I can get a cheap portable clothes rack? I need a makeshift closet while DH works on the master bedroom
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Mrs. J: Yay! That's so exciting! Our crib should be here next week!!! We have a kitchen table and chairs (no place for them in our apartment) currently in the nursery, but my sister is taking them to college with her this weekend. I've been decorating around the random furniture haha.

I had an unexpected visit to the office today and it resulted in me finally sharing the news with my boss. I am 22 weeks today and I know it's time I tell him. It was just a tricky time with some reorganization at work, end of fiscal year reviews, bonus discussions, and my paranoia about how long it took us to get pregnant that kept me from sharing. I was so nervous! I work from home, so no one has really seen me. I also think I look a lot smaller than I am. I wore black to help slim me down Anywho - I'm finally out at work. And I'm also able to join you all in the club of "feeling baby movement"!

@MrsCB: I'm loving dressing my bump when I can be casual at home. But having to go into the office today made me realize I don't have a whole lot of options for business casual. Thank goodness I work from home!
@MrsTiz: No patterns here. I'm hoping it means I have a good, sleepy baby I was able to share the excitement with my husband over the past weekend. It was our 6th wedding anniversary and the baby was so active. I didn't know if it was only something I could feel, but when my husband put his hand on my belly he actually felt it and said WHOA! It was a magical moment - so happy to share it with him.
@Mrs. J: Container store probably has something - but maybe not cheap. That's so exciting about your crib!!

@anbanan15: Glad to hear you passed the glucose test! Hope your tummy is better and you're able to keep food down now.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@MrsCB: I saw the kick so I yelled for him to come over, put his hand on my belly and WAIT. Lol!! And yes, I loooooove dressing my bump and not caring if I eat a little too much cuz I can blame it on the baby bump!!
@FarmWifeGina: I still wear regular non-maternity tanks from target. They're THE BEST!! Plus, gotta love ON maternity. They had 30% off the other day so I might've bought a few things. Eeek!
@MrsTiz: Baby is sooooooo active during the day!! And then a little around 7pm or so.
@Mrs. J: Yay for your crib! We're going to BBB this weekend (so thrilled) and hopefully we'll be able to cross off the crib and glider! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I am so so pumped!
@sweetooth: I hope your unexpected office visit was with good news! And yay for being out at work. It's actually a good feeling. There's no way I could be hiding it any longer. I definitely popped over the last week. Everyone is pointing out my tummy now!!!

Oh and I have a HUGE TMI question that I am totally embarrassed to ask... buuuut I'm going to anyways.
Anyone else having crazy amounts of CM?! Today's was a little insane and just wanted to see if anyone else is dealing with it too. Especially you 2x mamas... normal??
pear / 1571 posts
@Ash: I'm not dealing with it right now, but early, OMG, yes. It seems to come and go throughout pregnancy for me. It'll be back in force in late pregnancy. So yes, it's completely normal. Some women resort to panty liners. Yours may come and go, or it may just stay that way until delivery. Cheers! Lol, one of those lovely parts of pregnancy no one tells you about.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@FarmWifeGina: I've had it the whole time but today was like WHOA!!! I'm pretty sure nobody tells you about ANY of the fabulous parts of pregnancy. But I happily accept every one of them... But I'm happy to know it's normal. I just got nervous because in one of my books it says extra CM could be a sign of preterm labor. And of course, I just read that yesterday so it sticks in my head.
pear / 1571 posts
@Ash: Huh? Then, like, every pregnant woman I know has had this sign of pre-term labor. I wouldn't worry about that unless you start with some regular contractions or something.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@FarmWifeGina: I know!!!! "Increase in vaginal discharge/Change in vaginal discharge" were 2 of the signs. I was like "wtf?!"
P.S. Thanks!
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@Ash: I've read that too and also freaked out with my first because I always felt like I had a lot. I was told it was normal and not to worry unless there was blood or had an odor (could indicate leaking fluids) etc.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: negative to both of those so I'm gonna say I'm normal (as much as I can be). Thank you!!

Today, my lunchtime errand was to buy a snoogle. I needed something more effective than the pillows I keep pushing out of the way, to keep me from sleeping on my back. What can I say? I'm a back sleeper. Anywho - I picked up some chinese food for lunch and I just felt so preggers walking in my front door carrying a pregnancy pillow and takeout chinese. Just thought I'd share Have any of you had those "oh my, I'm so pregnant" moments?
nectarine / 2705 posts
@Ash: My unexpected visit was that I had to go into the office. They needed me to bring in something that was only available at a store near where I live. So I momentarily panicked and then realized, now was as good of a time as any to spill the beans.
As for your TMI question, I have noticed an increase lately. I just figure it's part of pregnancy though.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@sweetooth: d'oh I was so confused for some reason but I thought you meant unexpected DOCTOR'S office visit. I'm a little slow these days. Oops! But very glad you're out.
