Thanks, ladies! It's hard to tell from that picture lighting, but we did two colors on the walls-the front walls and ceiling are BM Ocean Breeze and the the other walls are BM Waterfall.

Who is doing a rug in the nursery? We have hardwood floors, so I am trying to decide if we want/need one.

    @MrsTiz: ouch!

I have been bitten by @ash:'s DIY bug--I have spent all day making art on Microsoft Publisher instead of buying it!

@MrsTiz: I am doing 3 frames over the crib and 4 over the bookcase and 1 by the rocking chair. 3 of them I am ordering from Etsy because I couldn't make them!

I made these canvases and a mobile the other day. I'm trying to get all my DIY stuff done before school starts!

@lilteacherbee: wow! At least that means fall is closer!

Any 2nd time mamas have any advice for BH? Google said to monitor how often they happen, but are they supposed to actually hurt?

@lilteacherbee: I go back Thursday and the kids come back the 21st

@MrsTiz: I'm sorry you are having painful BH!

No advice here as I never had any with DS...or at least that I knew of or could feel! I did have some non-stress tests done and was told I was having contractions but I couldn't actually feel them so who knows! So far nothing with this pregnancy either.

@Mrs. J: We're doing a rug cuz we have hardwood floors too. I found one on overstock:
    http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Hand-woven-Ultimate-Cream-Beige-Shag-Rug-53-x-76/5665181/product.html

I looooooooove your diy stuff! I designed a lot of stuff for our wedding... Maybe I'll design some prints too!!

    @lilteacherbee: Cute!

@MrsTiz: I still get them occasionally and when I called about them back when they first started, the nurse said they shouldn't be time-able but being uncomfortable is normal - just not painful. When I have mine, my belly just gets really tight and feels funny but no pain.

Anyone looking to buy ahead for spring/summer stuff?

Kohls has some great sales with clearance 60-80% off + their extra 15-30% savings pass + $10 Kohls cash for every $50 you spend.

Just went with my mom who had an extra 30% off and we got some cute printed onesies for under $1.50! Tons of Carter's sets under $10 before your extra savings is factored in!

I totally had a hormonal meltdown this morning, which hasn't really happened my whole pregnancy. DH told me he wanted pancakes for breakfast, so I was going to make my grandma's pancakes (she passed away 2 years ago), but I needed the recipe from my mom. As I am talking to my mom on the phone, DH heats up leftover pasta Bolognese to eat, and says he doesn't want pancakes anymore. I burst into tears lol.

Now we're having pancakes for dinner tomorrow.

@Mrs. J: Awe! Something similar happened to me a few weeks ago. Over breakfast nonetheless. silly hormones.

@Mrs. J: Such a pretty wall color! I got the same crib as you! I love it! We put it together this weekend to be sure all of the parts were in the box and it fit together well. Can I ask what mattress you purchased? I still need to get a mattress.

As for the floors ours are hardwood too. We will be getting FLOR for our carpeting. We have it in several places in our house right now and love it. Plus, it is in squares so if any accidents happen on the rug you only have to clean or replace a small square. http://www.flor.com/

I can also relate on the hormonal meltdown. I feel like I've been having them a little more frequently lately. Pancakes for dinner will be delicious

@lilteacherbee: Your DIY stuff is so sweet I definitely want to try and make a mobile too.

@MrsDragon: Moving is TOTALLY insane! I feel overwhelmed right now and we're just trying to plan and budget for a renovation. I can only imagine all of the stress you're dealing with. But it will be so great when you're in and settled.

Hope your trip to IKEA and your prenatal class this weekend went well!

@anbanan15: Just random letters, since the theme is alphabet/zoo animals!

@sweetooth: it wasn't too difficult! I did burn myself a million times with the hot glue gun, but that's pretty typical for me

@lilteacherbee: Cute! I wasn't sure if it was just random letters or is each strand was a different word. Hope your fingers are feeling better

We have our first birth class tonight! I don't know what to take! I'll feel like a dork walking in there with a blanket, notepad and pen but I would hate to not need them.. I think i'll call today and see what they recommend?

  32. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: I would think they will give you handouts... so maybe take a pen. One class I went to the couples needed a blanket but another class they didn't so if they didn't tell you, I'd think you wouldn't need one. HAVE FUN!

  33. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

    @MrsTiz: yay have fun!

  34. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@Ash: I think i'll just take a pen and a little notebook that fits in my purse so no one sees it if I don't need it

  35. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: Good idea!! Too bad you can't find a blanket in there too

ETA: In the class the couples needed a blanket, it was for the dads who had to get down on the floor and push through contractions with their knees to their chest. Hilarious!

  36. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@Ash: well, actually...I do carry big purses hmm

lol! Why am I so paranoid about this?

  37. MrsTiz

    cantaloupe / 6800 posts

@Ash: omg don't say that! DH is already thinking this is going to be the most awkward thing ever, so I won't tell him you said that!

  38. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@MrsTiz: Hahahahaha! I highly doubt they will make him do that! But if they do, take pics! Bahaha!! Hopefully, it's a fun instructor so you don't wanna snooze. I think you'll learn a lot. Don't be nervous!

  39. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@MrsTiz: Good luck and have fun! Can you take a tote (or your big purse) with a small blanket, notepad and pen. Or leave the blanket in the car "just in case" and send DH out if needed. Ohh and remember to bring a water bottle and snack Not sure how long your class is though, but that was essential for our loooooong one.

Being that your taking weekly classes I wouldn't think you need the blanket the first class, but maybe the 3rd? And your instructor would probably tell you when. We did a 1 day class and had to take a blanket and pillows. I stuffed a Vera Bradley duffel and felt like I was going on a weekend trip. Yup, my DH felt so awkward and giggled and snickered like a little school girl during the whole pretend contraction phase instead of paying attention and taking it seriously. errr....

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@anbanan15: Bahahaha! Love that your dh had to do it! There was a dad at mine that snickered too and the instructor came over, opened his legs wider and told him "we're PUSHING!" The girls were cracking up. It was the best.
