@Ash: @MrsTiz: I was having such awful heartburn with EVERYTHING I ate, I was going through like 10-15 tums a day. I called my OB and they said to take Prilosec. I did that and I've been much better ever since.

Man, I'm feeling left out--I haven't peed myself nor have I had heartburn... Hahahah, maybe I'll just have a little baldy baby while yours all have fabulous heads of hair!

@MrsTiz: Ugh, jealous you get to go home. I'd kill to go home. Yawn...

@MrsTiz: My reason for wanting to cry is due to exhaustion!! Absolutely pooped!! Happy Birthday Maya!! I didn't even know what heartburn was until Monday... and then I was like, "Ooooooohhhh so this is heartburn!!!!!!!!"

@MrsCB: A banana gives it to me! Wth. I actually don't really take a lot of tums... I mainly take 2 before bedtime so it doesn't wake me up. But keeping the prilosec in mind if it worsens!

@ms.janedoe: Awe, all you got were zits!! Which I got too. And they're worsening. *sigh*

@MrsTiz: Aww Happy Birthday to your 2 year old fur-baby!! So cute!

@mrstiz & @ ash - the crying is killing me! I've cried no less than 5 times at work this week. Over really stupid stuff too. It is probably from exhaustion as well - I haven't had a night without waking up in almost 6 months. I never used to wake up in the middle of the night.

  10. Ash

    @Mrs. J: that's seriously my worst complaint.

Well.... today didn't start off so great. I started spotting and having mild cramping at work today. I called my midwife and she wasn't concerned but since I was working in ob, the doctor there wanted me to be checked for preterm labor. Sure enough, I was having contractions that picked up for about an hour and then eased up after being off my feet. Cervix is closed and they did another quick u/s to check fluid levels and placenta to see if there was a reason for the spotting but they didn't find anything abnormal. So I was sent home and told to stay off my feet. Luckily, I'm off for 3 days now so I can hopefully relax. Baby is good - hearing the heartbeat is the best noise ever. If this keeps up, I'll be put on bedrest but after today I'm thinking I might need to cut back on my hours... I think being on my feet for so long is taking it's toll on my body.

So that's that. Just thought I'd update real quickly... I'm gonna kick back now!!

@Maysprout: Thanks! I tried to get dh to rub my feet while I was laying in the hospital bed... no luck. Booooooo!

@DigAPony: @anbanan15: @MrsCastro: @Mrs. J: Thanks girls!! Baby has another 3 months to stay put! It HAS to be a boy with this bad behavior.

@Ash: Haha I your rational on the gender! You never know...girls can be stinkers too lol.

@Ash: haha I tell DH it's his child when the baby does anything weird.

  23. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@anbanan15: Bahahaha true but this is more of a DH behavior than an Ash behavior. But in all actuality, it's not baby's fault it's mine. Lol!!

@Mrs. J: I do too. Like the 3am kicks, I blame DH since he gets up at 330 every morning.

  24. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@Ash: I don't know how you deal with him getting up so early...I almost killed DH this morning because he hit snooze like 5 times. I said excuse me, your pregnant wife is trying to sleep!

  25. Mrs. J

    pomelo / 5132 posts

@anbanan15: @Ash: you have the same amount of posts! Edit: not...numbers are not my thing apparently

Anyone get/getting a prenatal massage? Sil and bil just gave me a GC for my bday, and I have one to get my nails done, so I can have a day of pampering!!

When would you ladies get the massage? I am 29+2...time is flying!

@Ash: hope you can relax this weekend. I forgot what your job is that has you working on your feet and in an OB's office. Nurse? If so, me too

  28. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@Mrs. J: Honestly, I sleep right through that darn alarm most days because if I'm awake at any point in the night, it's earlier so I'm cashed by the time he gets up. Buuuut, on weekends when he wants to set the alarm, I tell him the same thing!
If it makes you feel better... our numbers are really close.

  29. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@ChitownRo: Thanks! I work at a hospital running my tail off most days! Hahaha! I work on the pediatric floor but when census is low, I pick up in OB so I take care of nicu babes and postpartum mamas. Love the job. Hate the hours.
    We should talk NP stuff!

  30. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@Mrs. J: I told DH that's what I wanted for my birthday... but I haven't gotten it yet. I have to look up a salon that does them but I'd be getting it asap... and then another.... and another.

  31. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@Mrs. J: Haha don't worry when you said that and I took a glance I saw the same number for both of us too...then came the double take

I've been thinking about it. My midwife told me to because of the pain I've been having, but I haven't scheduled/decided yet. She actually told me that DH should be giving me them and she can write a script for that lol, but he refuses.

@Ash: Yes! Blame DH! Mine is a total night owl and DS is similar. Drives me nuts as I've always been a in bed by 10 type of person, not 3-5 am! BTW, I started nursing school this week. Ha! They are soooo disorganized! I was hoping all that calmed down once school actually started lol. Adds some more fun to my stress level.

@ChitownRo: I saw your post on the bump thread, but will comment here...I can't wait to see an updated bump pic!

  32. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@anbanan15: maybe there was a glitch... and they really were the same! Hmmmm! I'm an in bed by 10 kind of person too... and so is DH... except he's an up before the crack of dawn kind of person and I'm a sleep til 8 (before pregnancy of course). LOL!
Oooooooo, I think disorganization is a requirement for nursing. How's it going so far? I'm here if you have questions!!

  33. ChitownRo

    clementine / 948 posts

@anbanan15: @Ash: I'm always happy to talk nursing too! Agreed that nursing profs and administrations are a little nutso, especially at the beginning of the term

  34. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@Ash: Haha that's good too know! Disorganization is required. It's not bad at all, but I only had 3 days

  35. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

@ChitownRo: Glad you experienced that too! I've been having issues with the school loosing my info since I applied (starting with my actual application) so I pretty much expect it now lol. They didn't have our nurse packs so we really couldn't do anything this week.

@anbanan15: whatttt?! How did that happen? I'm sorry!!

First day of school today here! Ahhhh I'm thinking these kids are going to kick my butt, but we'll see

  38. anbanan15

    grapefruit / 4681 posts

And it's broken Baby is fine!

@lilteacherbee: Have a good first day! I have a bad right foot and it gave out causing my left foot to do the same and turn over. I broke my 5th metatarsal on my left foot. We are waiting to get in with my ortho because the last time I broke my midfoot (right) the fractures didn't completely show up on x-ray but MRI.

I have class today too. I'm not sure what is going to happen (I may have to pull from the program). Waiting to see if it's worse than we think and I will be non-weight bearing again. If it's just what they said in the ED then I think I would have a walking cast.

  39. Ash

    honeydew / 7909 posts

@anbanan15: Oh nooooooooo!!! Hoping a walking cast will be sufficient!! Keep us posted! And glad baby is fine!

@lilteacherbee: Have a great first day!

I'm really emotional today... ugh! Getting ready to call my boss to cut my hours from 36 to 24 (and to go from 12hr shifts to 8s). I feel like a failure for some reason. *sigh* I keep telling myself I'm doing it for the baby and it's made me feel a little better.

    honeydew / 7909 posts

Oh, and I want to add... I think my sister in-law is in labor! I can't wait to meet the baby!! She's denying it but she didn't tell us baby #1 was born til 12hrs later last year.
