@MrsTiz: awwww I LOVE the pics!!! I'm sorry things are hard and I really hope they get better soon. So good to hear that your husband is being awesome though! I'm sure that's such a great help, especially when you're going through all of that. Big hugs!!!

@Ash: long ones! I needed the big huge thick ones in the hospital but now that I'm home just regular Always pads work. Just make sure they're long ones

@MrsTiz: Thanks! Stocking up tomorrow! Our weekends are getting down there - tomorrow's target bill is gonna be a doozy!

@Ash: Straight up Depends. Seriously. But I hate pads and they always move around and leak, so I just throw on Depends. They're comfy and don't leak.
@MrsTiz: You guys all look beautiful! Sorry to hear about the baby blues. Keep an eye on yourself.

@MrsTiz: beautiful! I especially love the one of your husband, Jack, and puppy.

@FarmWifeGina: Oh man, I don't know if I can muster up the courage to buy them. Since I worked at the hospital I'm delivering, I'm hoping they treat me well and send me home with a bunch of the massive dipes!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: I did it! I got off my butt and put the rest of the fitteds in the washer. I might not have a clue what we're doing for dinner but the diapers are washing!

@MrsTiz: Holy crap, you are gorgeous! You definitely don't look like you just had a baby. I'm glad your husband is taking such good care of you guys. Take care of yourself! Jack is adorable!

Ugh. 37ish week appt yesterday and my blood pressure was a bit high again. So I am back Monday for another check. Midwife recommended that I stop working and start relaxing. So that should be interesting. I was hoping to work for two more weeks for both financial reasons and because I think I'll go stir crazy at home. Oh and positive for my strepB test. Bleh. I feel this easy pregnancy is starting to kick my butt.
In better news, while little dude is still breech but I've pretty much come to accept the idea of a c section. But I'm still rounding out a couple more accupuncture and chiro appts this week. It's soooo relaxing even if it doesn't cause him to flip!
Happy Saturday ladies!

@Ash: What is dinner? Ha I'm scrounging tonight. I didn't fully think the stripping thing through...I have them soaking in the upstairs bathroom and the laundry is downstairs so that's going to be fun moving some water logged diapers around the house. I am also not sure how many was cycles this will take with the RLR, so it might be a long night
Regarding the pads I just used the green wrapped ones (is that medium?) and overnights once I was home. I only needed the massive ones in the hospital.
@sarah.clarisse: Do you poke around to see if you can feel if baby is still breech? I cannot feel anything in the entire region above my belly button to ribcage and nothing down low, but feel large body parts on either side transversely. I don't think she is going to move either.
pear / 1571 posts
@Ash: Baha, they don't know that you're not buying them for your grandma! At least, that's what I tell myself when I checkout with them.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: Oh no! I'd start a load and finish tomorrow. That's what I've been doing! / I can't wait to see what they say about baby's position cuz I know for sure it's crooked and definitely not head down.
@FarmWifeGina: Lolol! That cracks me up!
apricot / 360 posts
@anbanan15: he's stretched out diagonally with his head to the upper left of my belly button pretty far to the side and his butt is on my lower right. He's seems quite content! I don't blame him it seems like a good spot! I have to admit he moves around so much that sometimes I can't figure out what body part is sticking out of my side, but then he settles back to his regular diagonal spot.
I'm definitely in a better place emotionally as far as being ok with his birth plan then I was a week ago after finding out!
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@Ash: oh yes it will be interesting to hear what they say. When do you go back? My next appointment is a week from Monday, then every Monday after that
I carried them downstairs. 5 trips with a 10 gallon bucket filled each time. I think I only need to wash them 1-2 more times then I'm calling it good.
@sarah.clarisse: I don't blame him either! I'm glad your coming to terms with things and it won't be long before you get to meat your little man!
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: Holy smokes woman! I'd say time for bed! Yikes! I go Tuesday for my 36wk - they have an u/s scheduled just in case they can't determine position. Well if I can say baby isn't head down, I think they can too! Hahahah
grapefruit / 4681 posts
@Ash: Tuesday is so soon!! You will know for sure soon enough. And 36 weeks! So close!
I think it's crazy to think we already have one November mama, some about to join her, some of us are getting so close, are full term and some of us are still 4-5 weeks away from their due dates!

@MrsTiz: your little family is so perfectly adorable! You look like a rock star w your hair cascading down, btw. Seeing your sweet fam is good motivation to get through the next few weeks... I want that!

@MrsTiz: So cute!! I hope you keep doing well & that your husband is being so awesome.
Our car seat came in yesterday! It's a week early which is a HUGE relief. The nursery still isn't 100% done and we're missing a few things (plus our house is a messy wreck, hah) but I feel like she could come now and it'd be okay. Starting to warm up to the idea of her being a bit early, which probably means she'll come late.

@lilteacherbee: You look gorgeous!!
So, yesterday, we walked to breakfast (about a mile there), and on the way there and back, I was having these lower pelvic pains. I had to slow down and even stop for a moment...I think they were the baby dropping, or preparing to drop, but I don't know. It was nuts! It definitely got DH into gear though... the car seat is installed, and he made a little towel garbage bag for the seat in case my water breaks.

@anbanan15: my due date is actually 11/21 but baby had always measured at 11/23 so that's the one I usually go with. I still consider myself having 5 weeks left though. My mil says she thinks I'll go the second week of November. She's also dead set were having a boy.
@lilteacherbee: love your pics! The one of you and dh is frame worthy! Love! I still haven't gotten mine. I'm getting impatient!
@Mrs. J: do you think it had anything to do with over exertion? Either way, glad dh is getting stuff done!
Our car seat technicians only check seats once a month... Next weekend (we'll be out of town for a wedding) and the weekend before our due date. So, yeah. I'd rather not wait that long.
We spent lots at target today - got lots of baby stuff checked off and stocked up on pads. Ha! Just waiting for our Amazon completion discount to pick up some last minute things. Wow! I'm starting to get so nervous!

@lilteacherbee: so cute! They turned out great! I forget, how far along were you when you had them done?

@anbanan15: the expiration date on my milk is November! November! Ahhhhhh! That means it's not far away!
cantaloupe / 6791 posts
@Ash: Haha you sound like me with your due dates. Technically, I'll be 36 weeks on Wednesday, but ovulation/8 and 12 week ultrasounds put me at 36 weeks today. Plus, I had a beta done at 10 dpo (only 7 dpo if I'm going by what the doctors say) and it was 32, which at 7 dpo is pretty much impossible!
@Ash: @Mrs. J: @anbanan15: Thanks!! I can't wait to see the rest of them! I was 33 weeks when they were taken.
pomegranate / 3779 posts
@lilteacherbee: You pics are awesome. Makes me kinda wish we had done them, I just didn't really have the energy.
November is getting so close! It's hard to believe my due date is just 2 1/2 weeks out!

@stine_ciro: @Ash: Soo close!
@lilteacherbee: Aww! Can't wait for you to get the rest

@Ash: Btw, the diapers are washed but I haven't removed them from the dryer yet lol. The thought of stuffing so many and organizing all the extra (OS) inserts right now makes me just want to sleep instead
honeydew / 7909 posts
@anbanan15: ummm yeah, I don't blame ya! They'd sit in the laundry basket until I talked dh into helping lol! And that's probably how it will be here!

Well, my yoga ball deflated so I bought a new one yesterday and just got it all inflated so I can bounce away! and I'm officially on maternity leave in 3.5 weeks! Dh and I decided for me to take the week before my due date off because of being over an hour from home when I'm at work (since I'm not delivering at the hospital I work). The drive plus the distance from my midwife makes me a tad nervous!

@Ash: You have lots of swaddling options. I think we need at least one helper type of thing. We do have some A+A blankets and we've been watching the youtube videos on swaddling Maybe that will be enough. // Also, I think it's funny that your milk expiration date makes you think of having a baby
// Are you glad you have that yoga ball? I'm thinking I need to get one. Sitting in my office chair for extended periods of time can be painful lately.
@sarah.clarisse: That's super cute that your husband is confident in his swaddling knowledge // Hope your appointment goes well today. Can you work from home at all? Enjoy your accupuncture and chiro appts this week.
@MrsTiz: SOooooOOOoOo CUTE! It's great to see you and your little family. I'm glad your husband is taking extra good care of you and that you're finding your way in the early stages of motherhood. You'll be a pro by the time I join you
@anbanan15: It's super crazy to think we're all moving into the next stages! I still feel far away, but then I think about how I only have 5 more weeks of work before my leave starts and it doesn't seem that long.
@MrsDragon: Glad to hear your car seat is in! I'm sure you'll be prepared no matter what. Early or late!
@lilteacherbee: That fuschia color looks great on you! Thanks for sharing your pictures
@Mrs. J: A little towel garbage bag for the seat is a great idea! Take is easy on those walks. I had a shooting pain while I was on a long walk yesterday too. Slowing down was helpful.

@MrsTiz: You, Jack, and your husband look so great! Love his little blonde head! I'm glad you have figured out a feeding process that works for you and I hope that the mental recovery gets better...

@MrsTiz: You guys are so cute! Sorry you're having some blues but it sounds like you're taking charge of the situation and you've got a wonderful little cuddler.
@lilteacherbee: Nice pictures!
I've got my hay fever now, happens every time the weather changes. We started painting the bathroom upstairs (well mainly DH but I've been filling in sometimes when he gets bored) so I thought that would help induce labor to have paint cans everywhere but no such luck last night. I'll be 39 weeks on Thurs so I'm ready to get this show on the road. I think they're only going to let me go a couple days past my due date (LO1 was only 3 days late so they said they'd wait till then) because of the umbilical cord so at the most I think I have about 2 weeks left.

@sweetooth: I'm an awesome swaddler - an OB tech taught me her tricks when I was in nursing school! They come in handy at work too!!! As for all the options, I got the woombies for 50% off, the halo sleep sacks are sold for super cheap in the gift shop where I work (10 bucks!) and of course, the a+a swaddler blankets! // Bahahaha! The milk just made me realize how close November is! Yikes!!
@sarah.clarisse: good luck today!!
@Maysprout: 39 weeks! Huh?!?! How did I miss this?!?!

@Ash: Swaddling tricks? You may have to share some of those... I have zero baby experience. Zero.
honeydew / 7909 posts
@ms.janedoe: I had zero baby experience too - when I first started working as a peds nurse, I had never fed a baby, made a bottle OR changed a diaper. As for swaddling, I think the tips that come with the a+a blankets are super helpful and exactly how I do it. Just keep everything tight and snug when tucking.
